Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who reviewed this so I've decided to add this next chapter earlier for you, some of you know that I'm doing another Steroline fic to my favourite film Dirty Dancing, check it out and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy this and it's the longest chapter I've ever done on this fic so enjoy :)

Katherine had been gone for what seemed like an eternity and Caroline was struggling to fight the urge to not pass out again but feared she'd be losing that battle quite soon. She desperately needed blood, the wound from where Katherine had staked her was taking longer to heal and Caroline thought it was because she'd been eating a lot more of food instead then drinking blood. Not being able to fight the urge anymore her eyes started to fall shut.

Meanwhile Stefan, Damon and Liz had not longed made their way into the woods and Stefan couldn't shake the feeling that Caroline desperately needed him now more then ever.

"What is it?" Damon asked his brother as if sensing what he was feeling.

"I don't know why, but I know that Caroline needs me now, like right this minute."

"Well of course she does, she's been taken by a crazy ass bitch of a vampire, who doesn't care for anyone but herself" he replied to his brother.

"I know that Damon but I feel as if there is something else wrong with her."

"Oh my god Stefan what if something has happened to the twins" Liz said in a worried voice to him.

"Damon we've got to find her, like now" Stefan said now panicking and it taking over his body.

"Ok we need to split up, we can cover more ground that way, you both got your phones?"

Stefan and Liz just nodded at Damon and then they all went their separate ways into the woods.

Katherine had managed to sneak a few blood bags from the hospital and now was on her way back to Caroline. She couldn't believe that Caroline and Stefan were having a baby and were going to be getting married judging from the ring on Caroline's left hand. In her mad opinion she always thought that she'd get together with Stefan even if it took a few hundred years for it to happen. As she made her way back into the woods she was so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't picked up on that she was being followed.

"How did you know she'd go to the hospital?" Elena asked Bonnie.

"She obviously hurt Caroline and I'm guessing that because Caroline has practically been living off of food the past couple of weeks she's going to need blood" she replied.

"Have you text them to let them know where she is?"

"Yeah, Damon is waiting for her and god help her when he catches her" Bonnie said.

Stefan found that he was feeling he was being pulled somewhere and was surprised that he had made his way over to the old Lockwood estate, he'd been that lost in the feeling of the pull that he hadn't even heard his phone beep when he received a message from Bonnie. He started to make his way down the gloomy steps and stopped in horror when he saw the sight in front of him.
His beloved Caroline had her hands up to her head chained up to the wall, for a split second he thought she was dead until he heard the heartbeats coming from her. He ran over to her and ripped the chains off of the wall and put Caroline's face into both of his hands.

"CAROLINE, CAROLINE, oh my god please, please wake up" he pleaded as tears formed in his eyes.

Caroline's eyes slowly started to open upon hearing Stefan's voice.

"Stefan" she whispered out.

"Oh thank god I'm here...I'm here" he said as he stroked her hair, he bite into his wrist and put it to Caroline's mouth for her to drink, after about a minute Caroline bolted forward and screamed in agony.

"ARRRGGGHHH, THE TWINS" she screamed putting her arm around her stomach.

Stefan just looked at her and realised that she was actually in labour.

"Oh my god, are they coming?"

On the other side of the woods Katherine was still deep in thought when someone came up behind her and she felt a pointy thing which she gathered was a stake just pierce her back, she tried to turn around but couldn't because of the stake.

"Keep walking."

She realised that it was Damon and then Liz Forbes appeared in front of her holding up a gun that aimed at her heart and that obviously had wooden bullets in them. She could try to escape but then again didn't want to risk dying in the process.

"Take me to my daughter now."

Katherine started to lead the way, when they got there she could sense that Stefan had already found Caroline and she prayed that the Salvatore brothers would have mercy on her and not kill her for taking the blonde baby vampire. Seeing the state that Caroline was in Liz ran straight over to her daughter.

"Mommy, it hurts, it hurts real bad" Caroline cried to her mom.

"I know honey, I'm here ok" Liz said as she cuddled her in her arms and kissed her head.

Knowing that Caroline would be okay with her mom Stefan nodded his head to Damon to go outside where they could deal with Katherine once and for all. He kissed Caroline on the head and Liz handed him the gun that was now at the side of her, he walked outside behind Damon and Katherine.

"Stefan, Damon please don't, I'm sorry for taking Caroline but..."

"ENOUGH, enough with the lies Katherine" Stefan said to her.

"Damon please" she pleaded to him.

"No Katherine, you've had this coming to you for a very, very long time."

With that Damon placed the stake into the back of her heart and Stefan shot the gun that also aimed at her heart. As soon as the wood from both the gun and stake crashed into her heart Katherine fell limp against Damon and started to turn grey. Damon lay her on the floor and him and Stefan just left her there they'd deal with burying her later, right now Caroline needed them.

"Damon run to the house and get some towels, blankets and scissors" Liz said as they both entered the Lockwood estate.

"Can't we go to the hospital?" Stefan asked Liz.

"I'm afraid she's too far gone for that, with how fast and strong these contractions are, these babies are ready to come out."

Damon sped out of there and headed to the boarding house, he texted Elena to let her know what was going on and for her and Bonnie to tell Meredith and then to make their way over to where Stefan and Caroline was. About five minutes had passed until he was back there with the towels and blankets. Stefan was know sitting behind Caroline and she had her knees pushed up ready to push the first twin out. He walked over and looked at their faces trying not to look at what was happening right in front of Liz and gave her the supplies.

"Okay, now Caroline I need you to push for me on the next contraction ok?"

"ARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH" Caroline screamed while pushing.

"Oh my god, I can see the head, come on one more push and he or she will be out."

With another push Caroline pushed out Clay, Liz cut the cord with the scissors and wrapped him in one of the blankets.

"Oh Caroline he's beautiful" she said as she held him up for the new parents to see.

"Oh my gosh Stefan" Caroline said as a tear stroked down her cheek.

"Care he's beautiful" he replied and kissed her.

"Damon, you'll have to come and get him so I can deliver Clary."

He made his way over and picked Clay up, when he looked at him he thought that he had not seen anything as more beautiful then this little bundle of joy in his arms.

"Now again Caroline, two more pushes and then that beautiful daughter of yours will be born" Liz said to her daughter.

"AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH"

"That's it keep pushing, you're doing well sweetheart" her mom encouraged her.

One final push and Clary was born, Liz did the same and cut the cord and wrapped her in the other blanket and handed her to Caroline.

"Oh, she's beautiful" Caroline cried

"Just like her mom, you did amazing" Stefan replied to her tears rolling down his cheeks.

Damon came back over and placed Clay in Caroline's other arm, and kissed Caroline on the head.

"Congratulations Caroline" he said.

Just then, Meredith, Bonnie and Elena came rushing down the steps, Meredith made her way straight over to Caroline while Bonnie and Elena stood back to let her check that they was all okay. After what seemed like forever Meredith made her way to where the three of them was standing anxious to see if everything was alright.

"Luckily, Caroline and the babies are doing great considering what they've just been through, they don't need to go to the hospital but I will be coming over later to check on them and to check how much the twins weigh, they're going to need you to help especially Caroline from what Katherine has put her through, even though from the body outside I can see that you have already dealt with her" she said whilst looking at Damon.

"I'll do whatever I can" he replied.

"So will we" Elena and Bonnie said together.

With that said Meredith left and they made their way over to where Caroline, Stefan and Liz were.

"Hey guys, were going to get Care and the twins back over to the boarding house, we need you to help" Stefan said.

"Sure what do you want us to do?" Damon asked

"Well would you be able to take Clay and Clary home with me, we don't want then getting ill from being out just wrapped in a towel. I'll come back and carry Caroline home and you two can help Liz bring the towels back."

They all nodded their heads and Damon went to where Caroline was sitting.

"Hey sis, how you holding up?"

"Ok, just feel a bit tired to be honest" she crocked out Damon.

"Well you're bound to with what you've just been through, you're one strong baby vamp Caroline."

"Thanks Damon, want to meet your niece?" she said as she placed Clary in his arms.

"She's gorgeous Caroline, both of them are, clearly they take after their mother" he smiled to her.

Caroline just smiles at him and can't believe how much Damon has changed since learning of her pregnancy. Already seeing how he was with her children she knew that he would be a great uncle and would do anything to protect them.

"Hey, you ready for me to take them?" Stefan asked his fiancee.

"Yeah, get them changed before you come back for me though okay."

"Okay" he replied and gave her a peck on the lips.

Stefan grabbed Clay from Caroline and him and Damon made their way over to the boarding house at vampire speed. Caroline thought to herself that the first thing she'd do when she got there was have a hot soak in the bath and then feed. Now that she wasn't pregnant anymore the urge for blood had come back. After ten minutes of leaving Stefan was back ready to take Caroline home, she still felt a little bit weak after being stabbed and then having to give birth when she stood up she wobbled on her legs and almost fell back down until she felt hands grab hold of her.

"I've got you" Stefan said and he picked her up bridal style ready to carry her home.

"We'll see you back at the boarding house?" he asked Liz, Elena and Bonnie.

"Yeah but I'm going to head home first to grab some thing because I'll be staying over to make sure Caroline's okay" Liz told him.

"Sure, that'll be nice for her" Stefan replied to her.

"Yeah we'll see you in a bit" Elena said answering for her and Bonnie

He sped out of the old Lockwood place and couldn't believe the events that had happened today, it terrified him that he could of lost Caroline and their children, he wouldn't know how to live without them and decided he knew he wouldn't be be able to live without them. As he entered the boarding house he took Caroline straight upstairs to his room so she could have a bath and change. Once he entered Damon was looking over both of the cots watching Clay and Clary sleep.

"Hey, how she doing?" Damon whispered to his brother.

"Good considering what she's been through."

"I'm fine" Caroline peeped up " I just need to have a bath and feed and I'll be as good as new now please both of you stop fretting and Stefan get rid of that brooding face, we've got two beautiful children who are no doubt going to wake soon so one of you had better go and fetch a couple of tins of baby milk."

Stefan and Damon just looked at one another and smiled.
