Chapter 14
After suppressing his Magic he briskly walked to Gringotts. If he was to truly get away from Sirius he needed to have his own place, so going to Gringotts was the logical step because to get a place he needed funds. Walking up the marble steps he took a deep calming breath one was to always have their wits about them when dealing with the goblins. Squaring his shoulders he found the inner strength of will to act like a cool, collected pureblood lord.
Walking up to the first teller he said in a clear voice " I would like to speak to the manager of my accounts as quickly as I am able." The Goblin just sneered its squished face looking quite pained which he figured was due to the fact that he was talking to it. " Do you have your key sir?" The Goblin asked contempt practically dripping from his voice. Reaching into the pockehanding ts of his bottoms he pulled out the gold key. Gently setting it down he waited patiently as the goblin looked it over and verified its authenticity. Glaring down at him the Goblin said "Griphook will be here soon to talk to you." With that the goblin looked back down and continued to ignore his existence. A few minutes later Griphook came up to him and lead him into an office.
Sitting in the crushed velvet chair that Griphook had motioned him to when they first came into the office he took a moment to gather what he wanted to say together. Centering himself and his magic he looked up at the goblin. "I hope you have been doing well Griphook. Sadly I didn't come for pleasantries. I have some questions that need answering and some stuff that needs to get done. If done in a timely matter and done corrected there will be recompense for your time." Knowing that gold talked and seeing the greedy gleam in the goblin's eye he smirked in satisfaction it was time to let his Slytherin side out he was fine being submissive but he was tired of being hurt so cold hearted he would become.
After an hour of explaining his situation to Griphook he left Gringotts Lord Peverell, emancipated, with his own house, safe and with a bank account that would take several lifetimes of frivolous spending to even put a slight dent in it. Who knew that he was heir to one of the eldest Wizarding Families? He wasn't happy quite yet but he felt as though a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders. With a sigh of relief he apperated to his new home.
Landing in the receiving room of Peverell Manor Hadrian was startled by a hunched over slightly raggedy looking house elf. Taking a careful step back he tried to gather his wits about him. Looking up at him with slightly drooping eyelids and almost luminescent purple eyes the House Elf brushed off its tiny vest that, judging from the dust that came off it had not been cleaned in quite some time. Hadrian tried not to sniffle after all no matter how magically strong he was he had always had quite the delicate disposition. Waiting for the elf to say something he stood quite patiently and suddenly it decided to speak "Master Hadrian bes finally here! Droopy is being the Head Elf sir What cans Droopy bes doing for yous sir?", the elf asked in a high squeaky voice. Hoping that the elf wasn't anything like Dobby Hadrian smiled and said "Droopy I want this property secure so no one but I may enter. I am taking a hiatus from my life and need to recuperate from a traumatic event so if you could show me to my room and get that taken care of while I rest I would be very appreciative." he said in a very weary voice. Looking worried the house elf quickly lead him to the Master suite and popped away.
Too tired to actually take a deep look around the room he noted appreciatively that the bed was covered in dark emerald green sheets. Flopping in the bed ungracefully he quickly passed out.
AN: So I am so very sorry for the shitty updates. Between working full time, being a full time student and my ever present mental issues I've been having a hard time...I've been working on this story for a few years and honestly I have lost my muse...I am hoping to complete most of it since I have the end written down so expect six or so more chapters. I won't abandon the story but I apologize if it is hella shitty. I love you guys but my morale is pretty dead. I'll try to post another chapter by this time next week thank you few people who actually reviewed that showed my piece of work was worth it. I don't deserve you all.
