Today I learned waterproof mascara really is waterproof.

Seriously. Apparently Maybelline doesn't mess around when they put that label on. This stuff is never coming off.

ANYWAY, thanks to A.B.D.Y.Z, CHOCOLATE LOVER 360, Lyra Heartstrings, PhoenixFeatherXx, and AquaBluey for your reviews! Reading them makes me happy. I have a giant test on Saturday that I have to focus on, so I dunno when the next update will be. Hopefully soon.

This chapter is mostly filler, but S will be revealed!

I don't own Metal Fight Beyblade or Pretty Little Liars.

When Sophie opened her eyes, she became aware of Mei Mei, Madoka, and Hikaru looking over her.

"Oh, good,"Madoka breathed a sigh of relief. "You're awake."

"What happened? Where am I?" Sophie asked, sitting up. She immediately became aware of her sore back. What had she been sleeping on? She quickly examined her surroundings. She was in a cave, just like in her dream. Only this time, she was dangling in a giant birdcage about ten feet off the ground.

"S brought you here," Hikaru explained. "You've been out for over a day. We were getting seriously worried."

"How are we going to get out of here?"

"There isn't any way out. Not one that I've seen, anyway. And I've been here a while," Mei Mei told her.

"The bars won't break. We've tried ramming into them hoping they would at least bend so we could get out, but no such luck," Hikaru shifted. "We're trapped here for now."

"Not necessarily," Sophie realized, her memory coming back to her. "Wales, Chao Xin, and Gingka know about S."

The others gasped.

"What?!" Madoka's voice was shrill. "Don't they realize how much danger they're in? How could you tell them?"

"I didn't. Somehow Gingka found a letter from S in your things. Anyway, by now they probably know I'm missing, so hopefully they can find us."

The girls sat in silence, letting everything sink in. There was a chance they could be saved. There was a chance everything would turn out okay. If the guys found them, they could be rescued. There were a lot of problems as well.

S would go after the guys. They would be killed without a thought. S would make sure the girls could never be found. There was no way for them to send a message for help; the girls didn't even know where they were. All of them had been unconscious when they arrived at the cave. For all they knew, they were in another town entirely.

As long as there was a chance, though, they couldn't lose hope.

Footsteps suddenly echoed throughout the cave.

"Brace yourself, Sophie," Hikaru whispered. "You're about to meet S."

A shadow appeared on the cave wall, then its owner came into view.

Selen was standing in front of them.

Sophie gasped. "It is you!"

"Gingka, we can't just run after Selen like this! We don't even know where they are!" Chao Xin reminded him again, exasperated.

"Our friends are in trouble! We have to go after them!"

"They are," Wales agreed, "but Chao Xin is right. If we just run head first after her, we could make stupid mistakes and never be able to help them. They could be trapped forever."

There isn't much time! We need to go now, before it's too late!"

"Where are they? Face it, without knowing that, there's no point in going after them. We might as well search the entire town. That would take a really long time," Chao Xin pointed out.

"Any idea where they might be?" Wales asked.

Nobody had a response. Reality was starting to sink in. The girls had been taken and were in extreme danger. Only they knew about it. They couldn't get help; that would only put more people in danger. They still had no idea where the girls were and they couldn't spend hours looking. Every second they wasted was less time to find them.

"Wait a minute," Gingka spoke up. "Didn't Dashan say something when we saw him earlier? Something about water?"

Chao Xin's eyes widened. "Waterfall. Are there any waterfalls around here?"

"There has to be!" Gingka exclaimed. "We have to find it!"

Wales thought for a moment. "Right now it's the only lead we've got. Lets follow it."

Hikaru nudged her. "Not quite. Look closer."

Sophie didn't understand what Hikaru was getting at, but the more she looked, the less the girl in front of them looked like Selen.

The girl was too tall, her facial structure was wrong, and other features just seemed...off.

But if this wasn't Selen, then who was it? Who was S?

"Thank you for ruining my fun, Hikaru," the girl frowned. "Now that she knows, there's no point in keeping this disguise any longer."

Suddenly, the girl changed right before Sophie's eyes. A black wig came off, revealing pink hair. Sophie gasped in shock, then recoiled.

Jack had been the one tormenting them all along.

"Now that everyone's here, I can finally explain everything!" Jack laughed maniacally.

"I think it's pretty obvious what's going on," Hikaru said dryly. "You decided to torment us by first stalking us and threatening to exploit our secrets to the world, then dressing up as your ex-girlfriend, and finally kidnapping us. And why? Oh, right. You're crazy."

"Again, Hikaru, with the ruining my fun," Jack sighed. "But you're wrong."

"How?" Mei Mei found her voice. "That's exactly what you did."

"Not quite. Yes, I'll admit I did all those things, but it's not because I'm crazy. No, I wanted revenge!"

"Revenge for what?" Madoka asked. "We never did anything to you!"

"Not to me, yes, but to Selen!"

Four pairs of eyes stared blankly at him.

"You girls betrayed her! She vanished and you just moved on as if she never existed! Especially you, Sophie!"

"Jack, what are you even talking about?" Sophie sighed.

"The others at least had the decency to disappear, go of the radar! But you didn't! No, you stayed popular, became a queen bee! You replaced Selen! How could you do that to your best friend? I wanted you to suffer more than anyone. I brought you here last, hoping that fear would overtake you as each one of your friends vanished, leaving you all alone. And I'm going to kill you last. You'll watch each of your friends die, knowing its your fate. You make me sick, all of you! Your best friend is dead and you just forgot about her. You were able to be happy without her! Just think, if you had never let Selen go, you wouldn't be in this situation now! You only have yourselves to blame for being stupid whores, thieves, and liars! "

"You have to let people go!" Madoka cried. "If you don't, you'll be trapped! You'll be in the same situation as you, Jack! Suffering because you couldn't let go, and being driven crazy because they're gone!"

"We never forgot about Selen!" Mei Mei yelled. "How could we? She was our friend. But she's gone! We can't dwell on what could have happened if she was still here! After everything we went through that year, we had a right to be happy!"

Jack didn't respond; he merely looked at the girls, then disappeared from sight.

The girls sat in silence. Selen's disappearance had messed everyone up, they realized. There were probably other people at school who had been affected as well, but never said anything. But for Jack to go to this extreme, just because the girls were no longer grieving Selen and had been able to move on, that was crazy. Something was seriously wrong with Jack.

Jack was going to kill them. There was no doubt about that; he had already killed Lera in cold blood. He had been driven to his limit, seeing the girls happy without Selen. And for some reason, he couldn't stand it. He tormented them to no end, and were ready to ruin their lives before he killed them. He wanted to make sure their last memories-and hours- were miserable.

And the girls could do nothing to stop it.

They tried banging against the cage and screaming at the top of their lungs, hoping against hope that someone, anyone would hear them. But it was useless. The cage itself was immune to damage. They wouldn't be getting out. Jack had left the keys on the ground beneath them, close enough to see, but impossible to touch.

He was doing everything he could to make the rest of their lives hell.

It was strange to think that Jack had been the one stalking them all along. But the more they thought about, the more it made sense. Zeo could never have been S. He may have had a reason, but not the personality. It wasn't in his nature to do it.

And Selen? She may be alive, but none of them knew were she actually was. She could be anywhere. Assuming she had been the one out to get them didn't make any sense.

Jack though... Jack had always been off. There had been something weird about him from the moment they first met him.

They really should have paid closer attention. There had to have been some clues they missed.

Madoka was the first to break the silence. "Well I guess we know what he meant when he said 'I'll avenge you' at Selen's grave."

"Yeah," Mei Mei suddenly gasped. "Wait a minute. Jack thinks Selen is still dead right? But she's not! Or at least, she's not in that grave! If we tell him she's still alive, maybe-"

Sophie cut her off. "He won't believe us. He'll think we're making it up or something. He's too far gone to reason with."

Hikaru frowned. "Something's not right here. I thought S knew that Selen was alive. Jack clearly thinks she's dead. So if he didn't tip off the police to exhume the body in the grave, then who did?"

"You're right," Madoka realized. "We're missing something here."

At that moment, a dark shadow appeared overhead. It disappeared quickly, by the Gil's were more than a little frightened. They looked around anxiously. Someone- or something-was in the cave with them. Some kind of animal? There was a loud noise at the other end of the cave. A few minutes later, there was silence again. Whatever it was had probably left.

Madoka sighed. "I wish I had never gone to that party in the first place." The other girls looked at her, confused.

"What?" Hikaru asked.

"Right before all this started, I went to a party, and- some weird stuff happened. Really it was just regular party stuff, but I really regret everything that happened there. I did some dumb things and that was the secret Jack had been holding over my head the whole time."

"Jack would have found something else to torment you about. He was stalking us remember? Everything we did was watched. Sooner or later he would have found something else to use against you," Hikaru said softly. "My secret's just like yours. I took a new job and did some stupid things. Things people shouldn't know about. Jack trapped us all. We had no choice but to do what he wanted."

"Those secrets are probably going to get out anyway. Even if we somehow escape, he'll release them so everyone knows. If we don't escape, he'll release them to that everyone's last memories of us will be disgust at what we did. They won't remember us for who we really were," Sophie commented sadly. "I took on a job at Masquerade, the club downtown."

"But why?" Madoka asked. "You live in that huge mansion!"

Sophie shook her head. "Not anymore," she explained. "My parents split up and there's no money. Taking on a job was the only way for me to keep up appearances. I needed the money. I couldn't get a normal job at a fast food place or something. That would draw too much attention. My parents wanted to keep the divorce secret. The only way was to take a job at a 21 and over club. I disguised myself. It worked perfectly, until Jack found out."

"We all did stupid things. I-I did some shoplifting. It wasn't really something I could control; it would just happen when I was feeling really stressed," Mei Mei shared. "But do we really have to be punished for these mistakes?"

Sophie smiled thinly. "According to Jack, we're being punished for forgetting about Selen, not our various indiscretions."

"I can't believe he honestly thinks we forgot about Selen," Hikaru said with disgust. "How could we forget one of the most horrific nights of our lives? Our best friend disappeared and we had no clue what happened to her. A few weeks later we thought she was dead. They told us she was. You don't just forget about something like that. We may have moved on, but we sure didn't forget."

A noise in the cave alerted them. Whatever was in the cave before was back. Suddenly, a person revealed themselves. There was no mistaking who it was. They walked over to the keys lying on the floor and picked them up. They started unlocking the cage.

"I'm here to rescue you," the person whispered. "Them once we're out of here, I'll explain everything."

It was Selen. The real one this time.
