Anastasia walked into the clearing, answering her phone, "Elijah? I can't talk right now."
"I still love you," he said softly. "I'm sorry for lying, but I thought that I was doing it to protect you, not harm you."
"I can't keep doing this with you. Whatever we had was epic, but now it's gone," she told him. "Don't call me again, Elijah. I've moved on, I'm happy now."
Anastasia felt her heart being torn in half as she hung up on him. She knew that she needed to get over him. She had to lie to him, she had to hurt him in order for them both to move on. Her eyebrows furrowed as she saw Damon and Stefan being carried to the old Lockwood cellar. She quickly hid behind a tree as she watched Sheriff Forbes and Mason follow them.
She couldn't believe what she saw...she couldn't believe that Damon was right about Mason. He was trying to kill them. He wasn't their friend, he was their enemy. Anastasia walked a little closer once she saw them enter the old cellar.
"Ana," Elena whispered once she saw her sister come out of hiding. "What are you doing here?"
Anastasia noticed the blood on Caroline's fingers. "Same thing as you guys. I saw Caroline's mom and Mason follow some officers carrying Stefan and Damon's bodies down into the old Lockwood cellar. Damon was right about Mason."
"What are you three doing out here?" Mason asked from behind them.
"Have you seen Stefan?" Elena asked worriedly.
"Yeah, Elena, I've seen him," Mason answered coldly, there was a look in his eyes that Anastasia had never seen before. It frightened her.
"Where's Damon?" Anastasia asked cautiously.
Mason walked closer to them. "I've seen Damon too."
"Where are they?" Elena questioned.
Mason scoffed. "You don't need me for that. I'll let your friend here sniff 'em out. Does your mother know what you are? I'm happy to tell her."
"Enough. Why are you doing this, Mason," Anastasia asked, horrified by the man who she used to call a friend.
"Sorry, Annie, but they have to go. They threatened me."
"Damon is all-talk and no game. He would've backed off eventually. He did the same thing to me. He's just cautious of newcomers. He's just trying to protect us-Stefan too!"
"Wow," Mason chuckled. "You're sympathizing with them now. I've been your friend longer than they have."
Anastasia shook her head. "That doesn't matter anymore, Mason, you're hurting people that I care about. You're different. You were never like this or maybe you were and I was just too blind to see it."
"Yeah, you were blind to a lot of things," Mason replied coldly.
"Caroline, go to Stefan and Damon, help them," Anastasia ordered her.
When Caroline tried to run past Mason, he quickly grabbed Elena and had his arm around her neck, choking her.
"Don't be stupid," Mason warned. "Neck snap easy around here."
"Mason," Anastasia told him frantically, feeling her heart beat faster than ever. "Please don't hurt my sister...come on, Mason, she's innocent. She's my sister, Mason, please let her go."
"I can take him," Caroline suggested to Anastasia.
Mason scoffed. "Wanna bet?"
Caroline glared at him. "Yeah, I do."
Caroline sped forward, shoving Elena out of the way. Her hand was wrapped around Mason's throat as she slammed his back into the trunk of a tree. Anastasia went over to Elena and tightly hugged her little sister, worried that she could've lost her.
"I'm okay." Elena assured her.
"Told ya," Caroline gloated before kneed him in the stomach and threw Mason in the trunk of another tree. Anastasia kicked him in the stomach as well for trying to hurt Elena.
"Come on," Caroline urged them before they started to run for the old cellar.
When Anastasia heard Damon scream in agony, Caroline and Elena held her back from intervening.
"I have to help him."
"We will, we need to wait first," Elena reminded her sister. Elena kept on noticing that Damon and Anastasia had become a lot closer. She saw how worried her sister was about Damon and thought that maybe her sister might have feelings for Damon after all. She didn't know if her sister knew it though.
Anastasia heard Damon scream again and shoved them away from her before she opened the gate and cocked her gun. She hid in the darkness as she saw a police officer come forward into the light. Anastasia hit her gun on the back of his head, knocking him out unconscious.
"Ana, don't," Elena whispered urgently. "Don't kill him."
"I'm not going to-I wasn't. Where's Caroline?"
Elena shook her head. "Caroline didn't want her mom to find out what she really was."
Anastasia nodded and opened the door quickly as she ran into the room with Elena behind her.
"Elena? Anastasia? What are you two doing there?!" Sheriff Forbes asked. "Drop the gun now!"
"No," Anastasia said firmly. "Not until you let them go. We're not going to let you kill them."
"You don't know what they are-"
"Vampires," Anastasia answered. "I know all about them I'm afraid."
Sheriff Forbes looked shocked and horrified as she stared at Anastasia. "You know and you're still siding with them."
"Not all of them are bad," Anastasia told her firmly. "Especially these two."
The door suddenly slammed shut as Sheriff Forbes asked, "Who else is with you?"
A second later, Caroline bit into the officer's neck, killing him instantly as she growled and hissed when she went into the darkness. Sheriff Forbes lowered her gun as she looked at the vampire in horror to find that it was her own daughter Caroline with blood smeared across her mouth.
"Hi, mom."
Anastasia knocked the gun quickly out of her hand and commanded, "Sit and don't move or I'll shoot."
Elena kneeled down beside Stefan and tried to wake him up, shaking him. She then decided to take out the wooden bullets with her fingers, figuring that why was he wasn't waking up.
"Keep an eye on her," Anastasia ordered Caroline who nodded in response.
Anastasia walked over to Damon and hit him on the chest. Damon grunted in pain as she said, "Wake up, dickhead."
"Aw, and here I thought that we were making progress with each other, Annie," Damon muttered as she helped him up.
"Feed on the deputy, the blood is still fresh."
"Didn't know you cared that much," he teased with a knowing smirk. "You're hotter than usual when you use your commanding voice, did you know that?"
"Now I regret ever standing up for you, Damon. Bravo!"
"Here," she said as she handed him her gun. "Take this. I'm going home."
"What? Aren't you curious to see the Sheriff's fate?"
She scoffed. "I just lost my best friend today. He betrayed me and almost killed the people I care about. He was going to kill Elena, I saw it in his eyes."
"Maybe he was saying it out of anger. Didn't really mean it."
"Oh, you mean he was pulling a 'Damon'?"
Damon nodded. "It's possible."
"There's a difference, Damon. You never mean it and even when you do, you regret it. You care. He didn't. He didn't care if my sister was killed in the crossfire and I hate him for it," Anastasia sighed. She was surprised at what she found herself saying. "Can I stay at your place? I don't want to be alone right now."
"Sure. I'll clean this mess up and meet you there."
Anastasia nodded and left them. She sent to a text to Jenna, telling her that she was spending the night at a friend's house tonight. Once Anastasia arrived at the boarding house, she quickly changed into one of Damon's V-necks and stayed in her underwear.
Once she closed her eyes, she knew that she was dead to the world.
"You okay?" someone asked while she was asleep, waking her up.
"I was until you woke me up," Anastasia murmured, pulling the sheets over her head.
"Mmm, like your undies there, Gilbert."
Anastasia groaned then chuckled, "Thanks."
She felt his hand in her hair and shook her head to get him off. "I'm trying to sleep."
"It's eleven in the morning," he reminded her.
"Perfect time for sleeping."
"You've been in this bed for a week now," Damon reminded her once again. "Although I don't mind coming home to a beautiful half-naked girl in my bed, a guy needs some space."
She laughed and pushed the sheets down from her head. "I just can't believe that Mason is now the bad guy."
"Told you so," he teased.
"You're right," she admitted. "You did, but I didn't want to believe you because he was my best friend. I couldn't see him that way."
"I get it even though it was dumb."
"You know you've been a lot nicer to me lately...why is that?"
Damon shrugged and looked away from her. "Maybe I like you."
Damon leaned forward and kissed her lips softly before moving on top of her. Anastasia kissed him back as her mind told her not to. The little voice inside of her head was loud at first, but as she continued to make out with Damon, it became softer.
He moaned into her mouth, biting her lip and sucking her tongue. Damon smiled into her skin when he kissed her neck. "So does this mean that we're together now?"
She shook her head. "Not ready for a relationship yet...but maybe we can have fun."
Before Damon could answer, Anastasia pushed him onto his back and started to kiss down his chest and stomach. She started to unbuckle his pants as she straddled his thighs. Her skin felt on fire from Damon's touch. Anastasia lifted up her shirt and Damon felt himself harden at the sight of her bare breasts. His hands squeezed them, pinching her nipples until she moaned. Anastasia moved her hips around on top of Damon's cock.
She felt herself being pushed onto the bed with her legs spread open wide as Damon ripped over her underwear. Anastasia became wet as Damon looked at her pussy, her hand went into his hair as he went down on her. She could feel his tongue everywhere and just when she was about to climax, Damon pulled away smiling widely.
"You're so wet," he murmured before shoving his pants down.
"Fuck me already, Damon," she moaned.
A loud groan came out of Damon as he thrust inside of her. "I've waited so long for this."
"Me too," she breathed against his lips.
Anastasia moaned loudly as he thrust in and out of her causing the bed to shake almost violently. Her hands gripped the sheets as her breasts bounced up and down. Damon bent his head, sucking on one of her nipples before passionately kissing her.
She felt her legs tightened around Damon as he went faster and deeper inside of her. Her nails came down his back when she wrapped her arms around him.
Damon grunted in pleasure as she bit his neck. "May I?"
She felt herself nod before she surprised him by pushing him onto his back and moving on top of him. Damon held her hips in his hands as she moved her hips slowly. Sweat trickled down her chest as Damon gazed up at her. Anastasia jumped when Damon smacked her ass, she let out a soft chuckle as he sat up and sucked on her nipples.
"I like your breasts," he muttered. "A lot."
"I can tell."
"I'm going to come," he moaned as they fell back into the bed together. "I'm going to bite you."
"Not the neck."
Damon bent his head and Anastasia whimpered in pain as she felt him bite just below her breast. The pain was gone in another moment as he thrust almost wildly into her. Damon lifted his head, groaning in pleasure as they kissed each other.
"Oh, Damon," she moaned loudly as she climaxed.
Damon bit her again as he felt himself come when her walls gripped him.
As they came down from their high, Damon kissed her lips.
"That was amazing," she murmured as she cuddled next to Damon. He put his arm around her shoulders, kissing the top of her head.
"That was amazing," he echoed, laughing with her. "Damn, you're good."
"You're not so bad yourself, Mr. Salvatore."
"So does this mean you'll get out of bed this morning?"
"Maybe," she giggled. "If properly motivated."
"Goodie," he teased before getting up and starting to get dressed in front of her. "Come on, get dressed. We need to do our part in the community by helping with the masquerade ball."
"Ew, no."
"Come on."
"Nothing you say will make me get out."
"How about asking you to be my date?"
Anastasia froze and then eyed Damon who smiled at her. "Are you serious?"
"Yes, it'll be our first date."
"Damon-"
"No, don't say anything yet," he shushed her. "Just think it over and then tell me."
"Fine. What about Evetta? I know that you guys were together or something."
Damon smirked and shook his head. "No, we has sex. That's all. Besides, she only looked like you, but she was just like Katherine in the end."
"I'm sorry, Damon."
Damon pecked her lips, telling her, "See you later, Annie."
Anastasia watched Damon walk away from her. She sighed happily and began to get dressed. After she got dressed, Anastasia walked out of the boarding, making her way to the door.
She felt her back hit the car as Katherine loomed over her, saying, "I still want to be your friend so let's have a chat."
"Ugh, another one?"
"Yes," she growled as she grabbed her arm and they sped over to a bed and breakfast inn.
Anastasia almost vomit as she braced her hands on her knees and Katherine commented, "Oh, I forgot that you either pass out or vomit every time things move too fast...why do you smell like Damon?"
"Enough, Katherine."
"Oh, looks like someone is going back to their slutty ways again."
"Why are we here?"
"Because we need to talk where no one can disturb us."
Katherine threw her into her room and onto the floor. Anastasia glared at her as she stood up and sat on the chair across from where Katherine sat.
"Why am I here?"
"The moonstone. You're the only one here who knows about it and you know why."
"Oh, so you're gonna bleed me out and compel me to forget," she drawled out in realization. "Clever."
"Sorry, but your knowledge is somewhat of a loose end that needs tying it up." Katherine explained. "What confuses me most is why didn't tell Stefan and Damon about it?"
"I told them about the moonstone…"
"But?"
"But I kept the history behind it and why you wanted it to myself."
"Remember our deal, you give me the moonstone and I give you Isobel."
"I remember it well."
"Then you backstabbed me. Smart move I must admit that."
Anastasia rolled her eyes. "I wanted my mother and I wasn't going to give Mason up for your sick little game."
She shrugged, smirking mischievously. "It's okay. Mason's gonna give it to me anyways."
"And why's that?"
"Because we're sleeping together," Katherine said smugly. "I knew that you weren't gonna give up your bestie so I decided to take matters into my own hands."
"You mean you took him in between your legs, Katherine," Anastasia retorted. "I should've guessed it. Doesn't matter now since I hate Mason. He tried to kill the people I care about. He's dead to me."
"So vicious," she teased. "Now tell me why you didn't spill the beans?"
Anastasia stayed silent as she stared at Katherine impassively. Katherine smiled and quickly tied her hands and legs to the chair before she withdrew a knife from behind her back. Anastasia bit her tongue to force herself not to scream as Katherine made a deep cut in her arm.
"Tell me or I'll cut a major artery."
"If they found out about the moonstone," Anastasia grunted in pain. "Then they would find out about Elijah and Klaus. You want to give the moonstone to Klaus and if Elena knew that she needs to die in the ritual then she would be a martyr and try to sacrifice herself. I can't let them find her."
"What's Elijah got to do with any of this?"
When Anastasia didn't answer, Katherine stabbed the knife into her left hand. Anastasia threw her hand back and let out a painful whimper.
"Elijah and I were in love, Katherine," Anastasia confessed breathlessly. "Before I met you, I met Elijah and Klaus first. I was Klaus's prisoner, I escaped with Elijah's help. He's kept my true identity a secret and where I live."
"Does he know about Elena?"
She shook her head. "No. When I found out about that and you, I ran back to town. I lied to him. Then I met you and you looked exactly like Elena, I knew that you were Katherine."
Katherine looked hurt for a moment. "You pretended to be my friend...you lied to me, you knew who I was running from."
"I didn't tell them because I became your friend and none of this was your fault. You were just a seventeen year old girl scared to die," she admitted. "I'm sorry. Then you became a bitch and tried to ruin my life so not sorry actually."
"How did you wake up from your coma? I thought vampire blood didn't work."
"I have no idea, but I'm awake and that's all that matters right now," Anastasia answered coldly. "I remember a witch of Klaus did some kind of spell on me that's it."
"Is Elijah coming here?"
"No, I broke things off. Where's Evetta?"
Katherine shrugged. "Tracking Klaus for me. If he gets too close then I'll leave here."
"End of March."
"What does that mean?"
"It's supposed to be when he's going to come, but we broke up so I don't know now. Elijah doesn't know about my sister and that's one of the reasons why I ended things. I have other feelings for someone else and I need to protect my sister. Always."
"Well, that is fortunate for the both of us. You and I have the same big bag coming after us."
"Exactly, but he wants your head more than he wants mine."
"Why did Klaus imprison you in the first place?"
Anastasia scoffed. "That is only something he can tell you himself. He's a psychopath, Katherine. A tenacious one at that."
Katherine suddenly cut her ropes and shoved her wrist into Anastasia's mouth after she cut her wrist. Anastasia felt the sweet blood go down her throat and she felt her wound begin to heal.
"You're free to go," Katherine said.
Anastasia looked quizzically at her. "Why?"
"Because for some weird reason, I trust you with our little secret. You're not going to tell anyone because you and I both know that this will make you look like the villain. You lied to everyone you love and if it gets out, then you'll lose them all. Evetta's got something against you by the way and you being with Damon is only making things worse."
"Why am I not dead then?"
"I want Elena dead and she wants you dead. You're hers, not mine. Fair game," Katherine explained with a smirk. "Send my love to Stefan."
Anastasia scoffed and knew that Katherine was right. She wasn't going to tell them about any of this. She would need to protect Elena and Elena would gladly sacrifice herself for the rest of them. She needs to be protected. Evetta was after Anastasia and was planning something big probably.
Her phone beeped as she walked outside and waited for the cab. It was a text from Mason that read:
Hey, Annie, I'm sorry for what happened. I screwed up our friendship. I will be leaving town for a long time. Big opportunity in Florida, gonna be gone for a long time. I'll send for my things once I'm settled.
Much love,
Mace
Anastasia felt as if a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders because now her sister was safe and so was Mason. She was glad that he regretted what he did. She knew that he couldn't have changed that much since she saw him in the last two years. He was a good person. Always. She was happy that he got out of all of this mess while he still could. If Damon and Stefan had gotten to him then they would have surely killed him.
As she stepped into the car, telling the cab driver to drive to an address. She saw that Elena had called her five times in the span of two minutes.
She dialed Elena and before she could say anything, Elena frantically told her, "It's Jenna. Katherine compelled Jenna to stab herself."
"What?! I'm on my way. Which hospital?"
Anastasia told the driver to go to the Mystic Falls hospital as fast as she could. Her mind was on Jenna the entire time as they drove to the hospital. Anastasia handed him the money once they arrived at the hospital. She ran inside and to the elevator, pressing the third floor. She ran up and down the hallways, searching for room 2029
Anastasia stopped in her tracks as she saw Jenna lying still on a bed with Alaric and Jeremy by her side. She put her hand over her mouth and quickly held her Aunt's hand.
"They said she's going to be fine," Alaric told her.
She shook her head. "This is my fault. Katherine had me tied up to a chair now I know why. She wanted me distracted."
"No one is blaming anyone except Katherine," Jeremy growled lowly. "She's going to pay for this."
Anastasia looked over at Jeremy with tears in her cold, angry eyes and nodded. "Oh, you bet she is."

THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEWS, FOLLOWS, AND FAVORITES! See? I'm not forgetting about you guys. I got confused with the timeline of how she met everyone so I'll explain it all to you guys.
Anastasia met Klaus first when she was sixteen just before she started to have a fling with Mason, now Elijah knew her from when she was about six or seven years old, but didn't officially meet her until she was a prisoner of Klaus in that summer before school started.
I can't wait until Klaus and Elijah comes because mostly everything is explained.
He helps her escape and then they start to develop feelings for each other, but Anastasia is in love with Mason who is her first, but Elijah thinks that he was her first. Once she ends things with Mason, she goes to Europe, she knows all about Katherine and who she is, but won't say anything.
They start to have a friendship then she comes to be in a relationship with Elijah, lying to him about ever meeting Katherine. Elijah knows where Anastasia lives and her true name, but not her relation to Elena. She lies to him about that.
Anastasia is honestly just a pretty little liar, and it only gets worse from here. Damon and everyone else is lying to her about Mason's death because they don't want her to freak out, they think they're trying to protect her.
I hoped you liked this chapter.
