(A/N: Well, their time in Hogwarts is over. You know what that means! *cries*)

We walked a way down the street, so that we wouldn't run the risk of muggles spotting us with out wands out, because that would have led to all sorts of difficult questions. James stuck his wand out, and the Knight Bus whipped into sight in almost no time.

"5 seconds, new high score," Lily whispered to me. We got onto the bus, James paying him.

"Entrance to Godric's Hollow," he said, coins clinking in the jar.

There were a couple of Hogwarts students who had gotten on before us, so we did have to wait until they got off, but it can't have taken more than 20 minutes total, whereas muggle transportation could have taken an hour, according to Lily.

James wiped the driver's memory when we got off. With Voldemort out and getting stronger every day, you could never be too careful.

"Well, I guess this is goodbye," Peter said. We knew we'd still see each other, but it wouldn't be everyday as it was while we were in Hogwarts.

"I guess so," James said. "You could still stay with me for a while, if you'd like,"

Peter shook his head. "My parents want me at home with them. Mum's not feeling too good, and my dad can't take care of her all on his own."

He looked at me, and I ran over and bear hugged him. "I'm going to miss you, pipsqueak," I said, tosseling his hair.

He laughed, and then broke apart to hug Lily and Remus.

Smiling sadly, he apparated away.

"Well, I suppose I best be off. I'll miss you guys," Remus said. I went up, and hugged him. James and Lily joined too.

"I'm going to miss you," I said, and Remus tried to smile, but it didn't reach his eyes.

"I'll miss you guys too. You," he said, turning to James. "You better make plans for us to meet again,"

"Why do I have to be the responsible one? Make Lily do it!"

"How dare you," Lily cried, "I'm taking care of our adopted child, Sirius"

"OI," I shouted, reaching over to mess up her hair.

"That was uncalled for!"

Remus laughed, but then said his farewells one last time and apparated off to his parents' house.

"Well, I guess it's just us then. Come on, let's go."

We walked down the street to James's house, which wasn't too big, but it wasn't small either.

"We'll need to get a Fidelius Charm up on this soon," said Lily. "It should be okay for the time being, but I think we should schedule something with Dumbledore and the others, maybe tomorrow.

"Good point," I said, looking the house up and down. "Lily, you're the best of our group at charms, any chance you could set up a few basic protections for the time being?"

"Sure thing,"

For a couple of minutes, she walked around the perimeter, casting spells to keep out muggles and wizards alike.

"There we go," she said, and we headed inside.

It was James's parents' house, so it was already furnished, we just had to add back our stuff.

"Lily and I will stay in my parents' old room, and Sirius, you can stay in my room or the guest room."

"Alright," I said, feeling more than a little awkward. Maybe I'd go withdraw some from my account in the bank. It wasn't much, but my parents had left me some amount of money, though I'd never actually checked the amount, knowing it'd be small.

Having been to James's house many times over various summers to get away from my family, I knew the place like the back of my hand. I made my way to the guest room, setting my trunk on the floor in the closet, along with my broom.

After my stuff was settled in, I went out to their sitting room, where Lily was. She had out a quill and parchment, and was, apparently, writing up a letter to Dumbledore about setting up a Fidelius Charm.

"Hey, do you think you could look this over?" she said a while later.

"Sure,"

I took the letter from her hand, and started reading.

Dear professor,With all the people who are around today, and with what they've been doing, I think we would be bemuch safer if we met face to face and set up some basic protections. Would you send is a date and place to is, and to Wormtail and Moony. Thanks,Prongs"Why'd you use James's nickname?"

"Well, I haven't got one, and I figured it would be best if I didn't mention any names."

I looked it over again. "This could be difficult if our owl was intercepted," I said.

Lily looked down at the paper. "That's true," she said, and took it back to use as a template for her next draft.

"Try this version,"

Dear professor,I have some Concerns about my grades on the NEWTs, It'd be great if we, and my friends, could set up a time and place to meet to discuss them, and maybe try to fix any problems. If you'd send your response to Moony and Wormtail, that'd be helpful.Thanks,Prongs."I think that's good, but you should let James check it over just in case."

"Did I hear my name?" James said, sauntering in.

"Could you check this letter over? We're trying to set up a time and place to meet with Dumbledore to set up protections for us and the house," Lily said.

"Sure thing."

He looked over it, and then handed it back. "It looks fine to me," He said, and leaned in to give Lily a kiss on her cheek.

I really needed to get my own place.
