"Speaking"

Outside a rundown temple stood a lone woman on a mission. A mission to save her fallen lover, and free her daughter and grandchildren from suffering through the same miseries as her and those that came before her.

Please Kami let this be the end of our nightmares. She said a silent prayer for herself and her legacy.

Without anymore hesitation she sent a quick text to her partner, and made her way up the cracked stone steps with a determined stride.

The shop seemed almost to be busier than ever, so much so that Rin had actually had to close in order to eat lunch, and keep Kagome around to handle things so that she could take bathroom breaks.

It was on her way back from the bathroom and on her way back to the front that it happened. Rin was hit with a sudden wave of pain followed shortly by a leaking sensation. She didn't have time to register what had actually happened; before she was in her mate's arms an being whisked out the door.

"Don't worry Rin. I'll hold down the fort!" The distant voice of Kagome could be heard as the door closed behind them.

"Thank you for using the back door." She gasped out as Sesshomaru buckled her up in his passenger seat.

"Of course." The demon replied Before speeding off.

Both he and Kagome had noticed what was going on as both of them had heard her cry out, and had witnessed her water breaking. He'd noticed that Kagome had pulled out her phone, so he had no need to alert anyone else; Sesshomaru only sent a text to Jaken and is mother-in-law.

"At least I got to finish my lunch before all of this." Rin had known that labor could last for hours in some cases, and she absolutely did not like being hungry. She sighed tiredly though it quickly turned into a groan as a contraction hit, and her manicured nails dug into Sesshomaru's leather interior.

"Your powers shouldn't pose as a complication?" Sesshomaru made conversation to try and help her keep her mind off of the pain. He also wanted to go into that delivery room prepared for every possible contingency.

Rin placed her attention on the road as her mate gracefully weaved in and out of the mid afternoon traffic. "No, the energy has gathered around my womb and the babies as protection.

"Hn." He grunted.

Thankfully Jaken and his family were there waiting. The toad demon having brought their bags and some of Rin's crafting things. While Izayoi and Inutashio had gotten her checked in and were waiting with a nurse and a wheelchair.

"Jaken you're getting a raise." Rin said when she saw that he had brought her knitting things, and jewelry making kit.

Sesshomaru just kept quiet unsure of weather she was being serious or not.

"My lord I informed both of your mothers that lady Rin has gone into labor." Jaken informed his master as once Rin had been settled in her large nicely decorated room and the medical staff had left. "Miss. Inukimi is on a flight now, and Rin's shall arrive once she has finished taking care of business."

Rin arched an eyebrow at the green demon's words and pulled out her phone. She was only five centimeters along, so she had a while to go. Right now she was going to figure out exactly what her mother was doing.

"Yes sweetie." Shizuru picked up on the second ring. Her eyes were focused in an intense glare at the frightened man in the corner and she emptied the last of the gasoline in his office the whole temple now soaked in it.

-Where are you?- Rin's tone was full of curiosity.

"I'm at the temple tying up loose ends." She explained, "how far along are you?"

-Five centimeters. They'll be back in a bit to check on my progress and see if I want anything for pain.-

"Don't take it, it'll counteract and work negatively with your powers." The older woman explained. "The contractions will hurt like hell, but due to your powers you'll bearily feel a thing while actually giving birth."

-Good to know- Rin sighed as another of said contractions hit and she took hold of the hand that Sesshomaru offered. -How much longer will you be?-

There was a moment of silence before a man's tortured scream had her pulling the phone from her ear and everyone else in the room looking at the cellular device curiously.

"I'm on my way now." Shizuru replied dropping a match in each hallway since she'd trailed the gas throughout the building. She knew her powers would protect her. "Just being sure that this cult can never resurface."

-Will you be needing a ride?- Rin checked. She'd seen the map her mother had been studying, and knew that the temple was far from any real form civilization.

"No, I have a friend here with me."

-Did you get daddy?-

"Yes, and we will release him once you are home and settled with your little ones. I'm positive he will wish to say a few things to us."

Rin had to hang up when the doctor returned with a nurse to check on her again.

"Mrs. Tashio, it's time." The doctor announced. Everyone but Sesshomaru and Izayoi exiting her room.

Rin wasn't upset about the absence of her mother, knowing that the older woman was off ensuring the future of both Ichiro and Kasai. There was no way she could ever be mad about that.

This is it. The moment that starts a new beginning.
