Chapter 14

Ellie sighed contently, her chin resting in her right palm. She shifted unconsciously, making the old wooden chair she sat in creak under her weight. Mrs. Bucket walked from the kitchen and sat a hot cup of tea before the young woman. She then sat across from Ellie at the family's small table. Ellie thanked her and took a sip from the cup in her hands.

"So, what happened?" Mrs. Bucket asked curiously, before taking a sip of her own tea. Ellie leaned back in her seat and took a long breath through her nose.

"Well….," she started and bit her lip in thought, not really sure where to begin. After a few moments of hesitation, Ellie began to tell of the events that took place just a that day. "….Then he kissed me and ran off with Charlie to God knows where." She finished, her cheeks hot with embarrassment. Mrs. Bucket smiled warmly at Ellie, her brown eyes sparkling.

"Well I'm happy for you Ellie. You deserve to have a decent man in your life. And Willy defiantly is decent." She said.

"And charming, and sweet and uhg! I just can't get him out of my head!" Ellie said as she hugged herself, her cheeks going red again. "I have never felt like this, not even in high school!" she said, her voice becoming louder and louder with every word.

"Shh! Ellie not so load." Mrs. Bucket said and chuckled.

"I'm sorry I'm just so…..so happy. Ya' know..." She said, a large smile on her face. She finished off her tea and sighed again, her face taking on a dreamy look. Mrs. Bucket smiled and stood, taking their empty cups to the kitchen. "I just can't explain it." Ellie said following her, and helped her with the dishes.

"Well that's love for you dear, you never quite know how to explain it, but you know it's there." After that, the house was quiet. As Ellie helped Mrs. Bucket start lunch, the door of the small house was thrown open. Slowly Charlie waked in, his whole body caked in dried chocolate.

Mrs. Bucket gasped and quickly made her way over to her son, who had a sheepish smile on his chocolaty face. "Oh my gosh, Charlie dear are you alright?" She asked as she checked over her son for any damage, which he had none.

"Yes mum I'm fine, it's just a little chocolate." He said, giving his mother a smile.

"What the heck happened?" Ellie asked, walking over to where the two stood, making sure not to step on any chocolate Charlie might have drug in.

"Chocolate overload." Charlie said, giving a toothy grin. Ellie giggled.

"Well at least you're a good sport about it kid." She said, then noticed something. "Where's Willy?" she asked. Charlie smirked.

"He went to go get cleaned up. Which reminds me, he wanted me to tell you to meet him at "home" as he calls it." The teen said smugly. Ellie blushed.

"Right now?" She asked. Charlie only nodded. "Oh ok then...Well I guess I'll see you guys later." She said and made her way to the door.

"Bye Ellie." Charlie said with a smug grin. Ellie gave him a annoyed look, but then cracked a smile and left the house. With a long sigh, she made her way to the elevator, knowing for a fact that she was not going to enjoy the ride. She was right of course. After stepping in and pressing the button labeled 'Home' she had become a human pinball.

When the elevator finely came to a stop, Ellie, who had practically thrown herself from the glass box of doom, smoothed down her messed up hair and walked down the familiar hallway. She stopped in front of the purple door that was across from hers and raised her knuckles to knock. But before she had a chance, the door was thrown open. Willy and Ellie stared at each other, both startled and wide eyed.

"Hi." Willy said, a small smile spreading across his face.

"Hi." Ellie said shyly, her face going red. The stood in silence for a moment, before Willy opened the door wider and stepped to the side.

"Come on in." he said. Ellie smiled up at him as she made her way through the door and looked around the room. The room was set up like hers, but instead of midnight blues and silvers, this room was made up of purples, reds, and browns.

As she looked around, she noticed a picture frame siting on his dresser. Slowly she made her way over and looked at it. The picture was of a woman, with curly auburn hair and violet eyes. Ellie picked up the frame and turned to Willy, her eyes still on the picture.

"Is this your mom?" Ellie asked, looking up at Willy. He walked over to her and looked at the frame.

"Yeah." Willy said, with a small smile. Ellie looked back at the picture, a smile crossing her face.

"She's beautiful." She said and looked up at Willy. "You have her eyes." Willy scoffed.

"Yeah, I know." He said, an annoyed looked crossing his features.

"You don't seem too happy about that." Ellie said with a chuckle and gently placed the frame back where she found it.

"Well growing up with violet eyes wasn't exactly easy." Willy said, rubbing the back of his neck. Ellie smiled shyly and took his free hand.

"Well I like your eyes. I have never seen any like them and I'm sure I'll never see any like them again." She said looking up at him. Willy smiled and intertwined their fingers, his cheeks becoming pink.

"Thank you. That makes me feel a lot better." He said and leaned down, resting his forehead agents hers. Ellie closed her eyes and smiled, a chill running up and down her spine. Her heart swelled with joy as she sighed contently. After a few minutes of silence, Willy pulled back and spoke again. "Hey Ellie….about…..about that kiss…I-"Ellie cut him off by placing a finger over his lips.

"Shh…It's ok. Don't worry about it." She said, reassuring him with a smile. He looked her in the eyes and smiled, grateful she wasn't mad. She then giggled. "You know, two weeks ago I would have never expected that I would be standing in Willy Wonka's bedroom." She said, her eyes going wide. Willy laughed and shook his head.

"Always expect the unexpected, Ellie." He said with a smirk. Ellie laughed and then sighed, her smile fading from her face.

"I should probably get home. I need to feed Finn, poor thing has been alone all night." Ellie said, with a frown. She REALLY didn't want to leave but she knew she had to. Willy frowned at this, but obeyed with a nod.

"Alright I'll take you home." He said sadly, his eyes casted down to the floor. Ellie lifted his chin and smiled.

"Hey cheer up. You'll see me again before you know it." She said. If only she knew how true her words where.
