Author's Notes: Okay, so while all of you are waiting for the next chapter of TDWD to come out, I sat down and wrote a little one shot for Nova and Rogue, based off of the fifth OVA. A lot of you lovely little fanpeeps seem to like this pairing, and it was totally my plan all along *coughcough lies coughcough*.
At first, I was only toying with the idea of making Rogue and Nova a couple when I put their first time meeting in Chapter Eight, but because I got so much positive feedback, I decided to continue with them! Let's just hope I don't screw it up too badly n_n||| ...
Anyway, enjoy this one-shot while I slave over this next chapter!
P.S. I changed stuff around; Some things that weren't in the OVA will be in this one-shot and vice-versa. Just letting you know beforehand :)
EDIT: This is now one of two bonus chapters that I'm writing as an apology for me being a bum and taking FOREVER just to write out chapter 14!

A Trip To Ryuzetsu Land!
"Pool?" Erza questioned. She, Wendy, Lucy, Levy, Mirajane, and Nova were sitting at a table talking when Levy mentioned about going to a resort.
"Is there one nearby?" Lucy asked. They were currently sitting in the bar, celebrating the wins that Fairy Tail made today in the Grand Magic Games. Well, everyone else was celebrating. Lucy and some of the girls were sitting down talking.
"It's a summer resort known all throughout Fiore: Ryuzetsu Land!" Levy said.
"We gotta go for sure!" Natsu yelled.
"Since it's so damn hot!" Gray finished. Natsu noticed this and picked a fight with him, dragging other members into it.
"Aye sir!" Happy agreed.
"Ryuzetsu Land? Sounds nice." Max mused. The members of Fairy Tail that had been left behind heard of the resort after it had popped up during the last seven years. They never got to go though, because they had so little money during that time.
"It's a good opportunity, so let's all go together!" Warren cheered.
"Since we're going to the pool, won't we all need swimsuits?" Kinana asked.
"Well of course!" Laki answered. "Who would go in their underwear?" Luckily, most of Fairy Tail had packed some for a situation like this. Nova began squirming in her seat; she knew she should've bought a swimsuit when she had the chance... It was just that they looked so... revealing that she didn't want one. Even the one piece swimsuits found some way to show lots of skin while still retaining their "one piece" theme!
"But is it okay to not tell the master where we're going?" Lucy asked. She didn't want them to get in trouble for leaving without his permission.
"Master took Laxus with him to someplace." Erza said, noting how distressed both Laxus and Master looked as they left the pub.
"Just him and Laxus? Together?" Lucy asked, surprised.
"That's quite rare..." Wendy noted. Everyone else agreed. To see Laxus and Master together alone made everyone wonder if what they had to talk about was that important.
Everyone continued to talk as they all left the bar and headed back to the hotel to get their necessary items for the resort.
~~~~~~~ (A/N: Sorry guys, no theme song unless you wanna look it up yourselves :P)
All of the girls talked excitedly about what they were going to do when they got to Ryuzetsu Land. Well, everyone excluding Nova. While the rest of the girls got out their swimsuits and towels, Nova sat on the bed and watched. It was always like this with her; while everyone else did something, Nova either watched them or read a book to pass the time. She didn't mind most of the time; she was used to being alone anyway. Aster was usually the one that took action. Nova would sit in the back and calculate what to do next. She watched their enemies, noted their moves, remembered their faults and strengths.
"Nova, aren't you going to get your stuff ready?" Lucy asked when she noticed Nova hadn't moved since she entered.
"Well, I-I don't really have a swimsuit, so..." Nova trailed off. Even though she did have one, it got ruined; they didn't need to know that though. She thought everyone would laugh at her for not having one, so she looked down at her hands, which were sitting in her lap. When she didn't hear anything, she looked up to see them all smiling softly at her.
"It's okay if you don't have one," Lucy said encouragingly. "Not everyone owns one."
"But since you don't own a swimsuit, I can give you one of my old ones that I used to model in!" Mira said cheerfully as she pulled a suitcase over. When she opened it, there was nothing but swimsuits in it. What she was going to do with them, Nova did not want to know. "Now, let's have you try them on and see which one looks the cutest on you!" Nova began to back away as Mira advanced on her with a creepy smile. She'd seen that smile somewhere, but she couldn't remember where...
Nova didn't have time to worry about that as Mira dragged her towards the bathroom and shoved her inside before entering herself and closing the door. The other girls laughed at Nova's cries of help from Mira's craziness.
Rogue sighed as he sat in his seat, watching the entrance to Ryuzetsu Land with as much casualness as he could. Why he was there, you ask? Because Mirajane, the white haired barmaid of Fairy Tail, asked (more like threatened) him to come. She said she had a nice surprise for him, and if he didn't show up, she'd expose his and Nova's relationship to everyone. How she even knew about it, he didn't know. But, for the sake of keeping it a secret, he came to see what she wanted.
So far, none of Fairy Tail had appeared. He saw members from Lamia Scale, Quatro Cerberus/Quatro Puppy, Mermaid Heel, and Blue Pegasus, but Fairy Tail was nowhere to be found. Sting, Orga, and Rufus all went to go have fun, while he just sat near the front entrance and watched it. Rogue sighed again and was about to get up and leave when he saw Lucy, Mira, Titania, the little Dragonslayer, and Nova enter. Nova had her hair in twin tails, and a large red towel wrapped around her. She looked as if she were uncomfortable and nervous.
"We're here!" the blonde haired Celestial Spirit Mage cried out happily. They acted as if this was their first time- oh yeah, it was their first time coming here. He'd forgotten they went missing for seven years.
"It's so spacious!" The little Dragonslayer said gleefully. She studied all of the attractions they had, and was amazed at the many pools they fit into the large building.
Titania stretched herself and gave a relaxed sigh. "This will be great."
"Amazing! Even though it's night, there are so many people here!" Lucy said as they continued to walk inside. Nova lagged behind them, as if she were considering running any minute.
"This place seems to be famous all over Fiore." Titania said. They continued to talk as they entered the building, but Nova didn't say a word; she just kept looking back at the entrance, like this was her last chance to leave.
"Nova, aren't you going to take your towel off?" Mira inquired as she turned around to face her. Her eyes slid in Rogue's direction and locked on with his. He felt an overwhelming sense of dread fill him at what the "surprise" was. Rogue felt bad for Nova, because she had no idea what Mira had planned for them.
"No, maybe later," she responded with a timid smile. "Right now I just want to find a nice seat to sit in and-" Nova squealed loudly as the towel was ripped away from her, by none other than Mirajane, revealing the swimsuit underneath. It was a red two piece with a skirt, and a black rose on her right breast. Rogue, and many other guys, sat up straight in their seats. Was this the same Nova he had seen yesterday? This Nova he was staring at now, was... Cute. Rogue wanted to know more about her. He was fully interested in this cute, shy, timid Nova, so he quickly got up from his seat and was about to grab her when he was run over by a million other guys. They surrounded the five girls, and began pulling Nova away from them.
"What a hottie!"
"What's your name, babe?"
"Wanna come hang with me?"
"Let's go ride a few attractions together!"
Nova, on the other hand, nervously looked around at the growing circle of boys. She tried to find a way out, but so far, there wasn't one.
"Um, actually, I'm looking for someone..." she said quietly, but she couldn't be heard over the loud cries of the horny boys. "E-excuse me, but I really have to go..." she tried again to look for an exit, but she still couldn't find one. The boys then began to close in on her, but she had nowhere to run.
"I said let's hang out together!" one angrily yelled, and he grabbed Nova's wrist. He pushed all of the other guys out of their way and began roughly pulling her with him.
"Let go of me!" Nova said harshly, and yanked her arm out of his grasp. Now that she was out of that circle of boys, she was able to relax herself. "I'm waiting for someone, so if you'll excuse me..." Nova began walking away when the boy grabbed Nova's arm again.
"You're not going anywhere!" he said, and he began pulling on Nova again. Nova pushed the guy away from her and made a run for it. She blindly ran away from him, and before she knew it, she was lost. There were so many new smells that Nova was getting confused, and couldn't separate the old ones from the new. Eventually, she walked towards a juice bar and sat down in one of the seats. She decided she'd just wait until somebody she knew passed her.
Marina walked around the park feeling content and relaxed in her lavender two piece. Her long, light blonde hair was tied into a bun, and her sea green eyes shone with happiness. She loved being surrounded by all this water; it made her feel calm, and her mood never really changed when she was around a lake or an ocean. That was why she usually tried to keep herself surrounded by water at all times, whether it's a bottle of water or a sea; without it, she tends to have mood swings. Divina told her she had a bipolar disorder, but Marina got angry at her and told Divina to stop analyzing her, and they never brought it up again.
Sighing again, Marina walked past the rushing river ride and saw all of the people riding it. She thought it would be fun to ride, so she was about to go and join the line when she slipped. Marina thought she'd hit the floor, but instead she felt herself get wet from the rushing water in the ride.
No problem, it's just water... Marina thought, but then she couldn't reach the surface. What's going on?! she thought, panicking and thrashing around. This shouldn't be happening! This is her domain; water is where she ruled. So how come she couldn't get to the surface?
The current... She thought, realizing that it isn't her power failing her. The current is too strong; it's keeping me underwater. Marina tried to summon some of her power, but found that she was slowly losing consciousness. So this is how it ends, huh? Sorry Aquamarine, but I won't be able to find you...
Marina's head suddenly broke the surface. She tried to breathe in a large amount of air, but ended up coughing out all the water in her lungs. Her light blonde hair stuck to her face, and little rivulets of water came off of it. How did she end up with her head above water? Someone must have seen her fall in and not resurface...
"Hey, are you okay now?" a man with bluish white hair said. The guy had midnight blue eyes and was wearing a pair of bright green swimming trunks with yellow stripes running down the sides. Marina's heart nearly stopped. Was he the one that saved her? "You almost died there; you should be more careful, clumsy." he flicked her forehead with his forefinger and thumb. Marina blushed at this, but she couldn't say anything. Is this what they called love at first sight?
"Um...Uh.. Th-Thank you… I'm Marina..." Marina said quietly. The white haired man smiled at her, and she felt her heart burst. Just as she was going to ask what his name was, he jumped up and ran towards Gray and Juvia, who were standing behind her. From what she could see, it looked like Juvia was trying to get Gray to ride the Love-Love Slide with her, but he didn't want to.
"In that case.." her white haired knight said as he picked Juvia up, "Allow me to escort you." Marina felt angry, which rarely happened around water. Not even the sweet smell of chlorine could calm her down. She had... a Love Rival?!
"Lyon-sama?!" Juvia cried out. She looked genuinely surprised to see him here. Marina didn't care though; Juvia was trying to steal her lovely white haired prince away from her! Marina began to advance towards the three, not even noticing that the water in the pools were boiling now.
"Where the hell did you come from?!" Gray yelled angrily as he watched Lyon snatch Juvia off of her feet.
"Love...Ri...Val!" Marina cried out as she kicked Juvia out of Lyon's hands. Lyon seemed surprised at this, and looked down to find Marina in his arms.
"I'll be glad to accompany you on the Love-Love Slide, my white haired knight!" Marina said. Lyon smiled apologetically, then put her down. "Lyon-sama...?"
"I'm sorry, Marina-chan, but I'm already in love with someone else..." Lyon said as he turned and grabbed Juvia's arm, then began pulling her to the attraction. "And now, Juvia-chan, let us go and express our love on the Love-Love Slide!"
"I refuse to give up!" Marina cried out determinedly as grabbed Lyon's arm. "I want to ride it with you, Lyon-sama!" And as Marina was pulling Lyon to the slide, Juvia, who was attached to Lyon, was pulling Gray.
"Gray-sama, let's ride the Love-Love Slide!" Juvia cried as she was being dragged by Lyon. Gray groaned and knew this was going to be a long night...
Nova sighed as she sat with her feet in the water by one of the pools. She couldn't find anyone she knew so far, and the place was so big... What was she going to do? Nova sighed again and continued to kick her feet in the water. This was the closest she was going to get to water; unless she's going to take a shower, then she's not-
Nova squealed as she was pulled under. The fear immediately set in, and she tried to remember how to swim. Her mind was too muddled with fear, so she continued to thrash around until someone pulled her to the surface. She took giant gulps of air and shot out of the pool like a rocket before scooting back until her back hit the wall.
That was close... Nova thought. I knew I shouldn't have come here! Nova fearfully stayed close to the wall. She didn't dare go and try to inspect what had pulled her down in the water. Surrounded by all this water; it's like walking into a deathtrap...
"Hey, Nova... Are you okay?" a voice said. "You jumped out of the pool pretty quickly..." It scared Nova, and she squealed while jumping from the sudden fright, shutting her eyes closed. When she opened them, Nova saw that it was Rogue.
"Rogue!" she cried happily. Then her happiness vanished and it was replaced with distress and worry. Nova pulled them into a nearby cafe and sat down at a table. "What are you doing here? You know everyone at Fairy Tail is here! What if we get caught?" Nova looked really worried and kept looking to make sure no one that they knew were coming in or already there.
"Don't worry; I'll be able to tell where they are..." Rogue said. "Well, at least Natsu-san and Gajeel-kun. I don't know about the rest of them. I haven't had the time to memorize their scents..."
"I guess we'll be fine..." Nova said, with a little bit of disappointment in her voice. Rogue frowned, but when Nova got up, he saw that she had a smile on her face. "Well, then, let's go have some fun!" Rogue smiled, and the two left the cafe. Meanwhile, a camera went off in the distance, and a blonde haired woman angrily glared at the two.
"Rogue-sama... You belong to me only..."
"Okay, thank you all for waiting folks!" the announcer said happily to the cheering crowd. "It's time to feed the fish!" He moved his hand to point at the enormous tank set in front of the stadium-like seats, and the crowd cheered again.
Gajeel, Lily, Happy, Carla, and Levy emerged from the side and swam in. Apparently, the guy in charge of feeding the fish had an emergency come up and couldn't make it to the aquarium, so the workers had to quickly find a replacement. Happy had instantly volunteered, and the rest of them went along to make sure Happy didn't try and eat any of the fish.
"I didn't expect so many people to come; it's a large audience!" Lily said in awe. He looked around at all of the excited and waiting people, ready to see the beautiful fish the aquarium had to offer come and get their food.
"Why am I also in this?" Carla asked unenthusiastically. She didn't care about if the stupid fish got fed or not, but because of Happy, they all got stuck in this mess. Now they had to feed them and put on a good show.
"This is crazy!" Gajeel whined angrily as he pumped the food out for the fish. "What the hell am I doing in a place like this?"
"Oh come on!" Levy said optimistically. "This is fun!"
"This is convenient." Lily said, making sure he didn't overfeed them.
"Hey, Happy, you-" Carla stopped talking as she caught sight of what Happy was doing. "Hey!"
Happy was pumping out the food quickly, attracting all of the fish to him. "Here is your food, so come get it!" All of the fish immediately were attracted to the enormous cloud of food that was surrounding him. "Alright! Thank you for the-" Happy screamed as all of the smaller fish swam away from him and he was surrounded by the larger fish.
"Blue cat! Swim away!" Gajeel yelled. Happy immediately did this, but the fish began following him.
"We aren't your food!" Carla cried out angrily as she and Pantherlily started to swim around the tank also. The three Exceeds continued to zip around the tank, but the fish managed to keep up with them.
"Gajeel do something!" Levy demanded as she swam behind him for safety.
"Club of the Iron Dragon!" he cried out as he punched. Gajeel's arm became a long, iron pole, and hit the fish. It dealt a lot of damage, and knocked the fish out immediately. He did this two more times, getting rid of the other fish.
"Don't bully my food!" Happy whined as he tried to stop Gajeel.
"Shut the hell up!" he yelled angrily. Gajeel didn't care if it was food or not; they were attacking, so he was defending.
Meanwhile, in the audience sat Nova and Rogue, who had seen the whole ordeal. Nova was sweatdropping at her guildmates, while Rogue was laughing uncontrollably. Eventually, Nova decided it was best that they leave before they got noticed; Rogue agreed, and the couple exited the aquarium before seeing Happy, Carla, Lily, Levy, and Gajeel get swallowed up by the tank's largest fish.
"Well, where do we go now?" Nova asked as they wandered around the park. She stayed as far away from the edge of the pool as she could; she didn't want to fall in again. So far, they hadn't seen anyone from either Fairy Tail or Sabertooth as they walked around, but they weren't going to take any chances.
"How about that ride?" He said as he pointed to a slide. It was a slide with a box attached to the top, and people got in the box, only to be dropped unexpectedly into a pool. Nova paled a little, but smiled and agreed to get on. Rogue grinned at her, then they both joined the line. It moved pretty quickly, and soon Rogue was up.
"Meet you at the bottom!" Rogue said before plunging down through the bottom of the box. Now Nova was next. She climbed into the small space and tried to calm herself down, but she continued to shake as she remembered what was waiting for her at the bottom of the ride.
"Miss, are you okay?" the ride's controller said. "You don't look too well…" She wanted to say no, she was not well, and get out of the ride, but she didn't want Rogue to be disappointed because she couldn't even get on one ride with him.
"Yes, I'm fine." she said with a nervous smile. The conductor shrugged and pressed the button that released the bottom of the box. Nova immediately began plunging downward, and screamed as loudly as she could. For a while, she was having fun. She laughed and screamed until she reached the end of the slide and fell into the pool. Then the fear set in. How could she forget? Nova wanted to yell and cry at the same time, but if she did either, she would drown. She couldn't even move, because she was so paralyzed with fear. Just when she thought she would black out, someone pulled her to the surface. Nova clung tightly to whoever saved her; she felt relieved now that she was out of the water.
"Nova, are you okay?!" Rogue said worriedly as he held her. "I saw you fall into the pool, but when you didn't come out, I jumped in. Are you hurt? Did you swallow some water? Did you-" Rogue stopped talking as his ears picked up the sound of sniffling. He looked down, and noticed that Nova was shaking. "Nova?"
"I… I'm hydrophobic…" she said quietly. Rogue stayed silent, and waited for her to continue on. "Before Nebula and Lumin found me and Aster, we were abandoned by our parents. They took us deep into the forest and told us to wait there until they came back. Two weeks passed by, and I told Aster that they weren't coming back. He denied it, and asked if we could wait just one more day. I agreed, and we waited for them to come for us.
"The day passed by and our parents still hadn't come back, so Aster and I left the place and began to wander around the forest. By mistake, we came across a secret base for a dark guild. We almost got away when we tripped their alarm and got caught in a net. They grabbed me and threw me into the lake; then they forced Aster to watch as I drowned.
"It was the scariest moment of my life, because I thought I was going to die. I could hear Aster crying and calling out my name every time I surfaced. Eventually I couldn't find the strength to pull myself up anymore; I remember looking up through the surface of the water, praying that Aster would be safe. That was when Lumin and Nebula found us. Aster told me they came flying from out of the sky and knocked all of the mages away. Apparently, their base was the cave where Lumin and Nebula stayed, and the dragons didn't take kindly to finding a dark guild stationed there.
"Lumin and Nebula pulled me out of the water too, and they took care of me until I was healthy again. We didn't have anywhere else to go, so even when they told us to leave, we stuck around by their cave and watched them. 'They act just like you and me!'; that was what Aster said. A month had gone by, and we were getting braver at approaching Lumin and Nebula; they were also warming up to us. Eventually, they asked us if we wanted to learn magic, and we agreed. You know the rest; our dragons disappeared, we went to look for them, eventually joined Fairy Tail, and this is where we are today." she finished.
Rogue silently sat, processing the information Nova told him. Nova's legs were numb, so she shifted her weight and tried to get in a better position. After a few minutes, Rogue spoke.
"So you came to Ryuzetsu Land, a place completely filled with water, because…?" he asked quietly. Nova opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Then her face turned extremely red.
"Well… I came because Mirajane told me you'd be here… So… I wanted to see you…" Nova said while resting her head against Rogue's chest. Rogue was stunned silent though. Nova faced her fear in order to come see him? That could be the sweetest thing any girl would ever do for him. He decided that he could be ten times as sweeter and let Nova relax.
"You know we don't have to stay in here, right?" Rogue said. Nova lifted her head questioningly.
"I do; my entire guild is here. I can't exactly go sneaking off…" she grumbled sadly. Rogue sighed before getting up and helping Nova up. Both of them had leg cramps though, so they stretched while they talked.
"Well, no one's watching you, and I don't see anybody nearby," he countered. Nova thought about it for a moment, then decided Rogue was right. Besides, it's not like they weren't going to elope, right? (A/N: HINT HINT; I'll tell you what I mean later :D)
"Alright, we can leave," she answered, and a huge smile lit up Rogue's face. Nova smiled too, until Natsu rammed into her and knocked her into Rogue. The two tumbled back onto the floor, with Nova landing on top of Rogue. Rogue's legs were open, and Nova landed in between them. Nova's hands were placed on Rogue's chest, and Rogue's were on Nova's back. Their faces were merely inches apart, and the couple blushed hard.
"I… Uh… I…" Nova started, but Rogue silenced her with his lips covering hers. Nova's eyes widened, and her blush deepened dramatically. Rogue, on the other hand, had his eyes closed and moved his hands from Nova's back to the sides of her head. Finally, the kiss ended after what seemed like forever to Nova. Rogue opened his eyes and gave Nova a mischievous grin, which annoyed her.
"Do you have any idea how much you risked by doing that?!" she hissed at him. Rogue smiled at her and ruffled her hair.
"It was a risk I had to take," he answered, and Nova got up for a second time. Then she helped Rogue up, and the two of them began heading for the exit.
"Still, it was kind of nice…" Nova mumbled to herself with a small smile, though Rogue heard it and smirked to himself.
Meanwhile, Natsu and Ichiya were zipping through the water park at full speed. People were jumping out of the way to avoid getting hit by the two idiots causing trouble.
"This is awesome!" Natsu yelled as he ran by the side of the pool. He didn't really care if it was safe or not, he was having FUN! Ichiya was right next to him, and they were both running by Alzack, Bisca, and Asuka.
"This is the parfum of youth!" Ichiya cried out as he ran. Alzack sighed as he turned to witness the scene behind him; he just hoped nothing bad would come of it…
"Natsu, stop running around. It's dangerous." he warned. Knowing Natsu though, something destructive was bound to happen.
"Ichiya-san, you're too old for that." Bisca said as she looked on with worry.
"Look at the hunky old man!" Asuka called out.
"This is nothing-" Ichiya started, but stopped as he slipped and rammed into Natsu, sending both him and Natsu spinning, the latter being in the air and the former on the water.
Ah, here it is. The beginning of that destruction Alzack predicted. "I knew it…"
"M-My head is spinning!" Ichiya wailed as he spun around and around on the water. Of course, he was headed on a one-way collision with Erza and Jellal, who had come because he was "following a magic trail". "Oh, Erza-san, stop the spinning!" Erza and Jellal looked at him and assumed a battle stance as Ichiya neared them.
"What is that?" Erza said as she began to move out of the way.
"A monster? Look out!" Jellal cried as he tackled Erza. The two of them managed to get out of the way in time, but Jellal's hand landed not on Erza's shoulders; they instead found their way to her chest. Both parties began to blush madly and jumped away from each other, for now forgetting that Ichiya has just rammed his head into a rock.
"S-Sorry!" Jellal said awkwardly.
"It's-it's fine…" Erza replied just as awkward. Ichiya was appalled as he sunk to the bottom of the pool without his bathing suit.
It's… fine? he thought with despair. The air between Jellal and Erza was tense as they tried to forget about what happened. It was quiet with the two teens, until it was broken by the cries of Natsu, who had crashed into Jellal's head and grabbed the front of Erza's swimsuit by mistake.
"What… What the hell are you doing?!" she angrily screamed as she kicked Natsu back into the air again, this time towards the Love-Love Slide, where Juvia, Marina, Gray, and Lyon still hadn't decided who would be going with who.
"Let's ride the Love-Love Slide, Gray-sama!" Juvia begged as she pulled on his arm and pointed to the slide. Lyon was pulling on Juvia's arm, and Marina was pulling on Lyon's.
"Leave this guy alone and instead ride it with me, Juvia!" Lyon cried out, to Marina's dismay.
"Or, how about you give up on Juvia and go with me instead!" she said happily as she yanked on Lyon's arm repeatedly. Gray, on the other hand, didn't give a crap about who would go with whom. He spent pretty much the entire time up there listening to them argue, and now he was just waiting for it to be time to go home...
Because he didn't care though, Karma had bitch slapped him. Natsu collided headfirst into the four, and knocked Gray and Lyon towards the slide before slamming into the decorational heart.
"Why you?!" Lyon cried out in surprise as he fell towards the slide with Gray in tow.
"No… Stop-" Gray said as he and Lyon landed in the water, being forced to hug each other since it was only enough room for that. Marina and Juvia gasped in surprise as they watched the two boys slide down with their arms wrapped around each other.
"Why do I have to ride this with you?!" Gray demanded.
"You took the words right out of my mouth!" Lyon vehemently said. But to Juvia and Marina, it didn't look like they were arguing.
"Oh, you idiot, don't get too close." Gray said quietly to Lyon.
"Show that smile to me only." Lyon said as he pulled Gray closer to him.
Juvia and Marina could only come up for one conclusion as to why they were acting like this.
"Is this what they call… Boys' Love?!" they exclaimed at the same time. Lucy walked up to them and gave them a disapproving stare.
"What are you guys doing?" she said exasperatedly. Juvia and Marina snapped out of their daydream and noticed Lucy was behind them.
"We just wanted to see what they were going to do next… Just kidding…" they replied. At this moment, the hold on the decorational heart Natsu had crashed into gave way, and it was sent down the slide with Natsu still hanging on.
"Natsu-san is in trouble!" Juvia yelled as she, Lucy, and Marina ran after them. It was no good though; the heart was moving at an astonishing high speed, and the three couldn't keep up. Unfortunately, he would pick up a few passengers on the way. His first few were soon coming up.
"It sure is noisy," Happy said to Carla and Pantherlily. They were sitting underneath one of the slides, while Levy and Gajeel chatted in the background. Carla was enjoying a cup of tea, while Pantherlily had some more of the kiwi juice they sold.
"This isn't any different from the guild," Carla responded, not seeing how Happy could tell the difference in noise level. After all, their guild is known for its noisiness.
"No, the guild is a lot quieter…" Lily inputted. Happy then turned around and cocked his head to the side.
"I thought I heard Natsu screaming… Am I imagining things?" he said to himself. It was at this moment that Natsu flew by, and the heart knocked Lily, Carla, Gajeel, and Levy onto the slide. "Anyway, when we were in the aquarium, I should've-" he stopped speaking as he noticed that no one was behind him, and he had been talking to himself.
"Everyone's gone? Why?!" he cried, then looked up and noticed his Carla was riding… the Love-Love Slide with PANTHERLILY?! "What the hell is that?!" After seeing that atrocious sight, he noticed that Levy and Gajeel had also gotten caught up in it. He was so upset at seeing Carla and Pantherlily together that he didn't even tease Gajeel or Levy.
"Oi, d-don't cling onto me!" Gajeel cried angrily as they slid downwards. Levy continued to scream, but she eventually quieted down, seeing as it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. In fact, she kind of enjoyed it. Maybe she could get something out of this...
"What's wrong? This isn't like you…" Erza said as she let Jellal lean on her for balance. They were strolling around, looking for a place to sit so Jellal could rest.
"Too much… Stimulation in one day…" He muttered as he almost collapsed to his knees. If it wasn't for Erza, then he would've been on the floor. Unfortunately for Jellal, he would be getting much more, because both he and Erza were rammed into the air and onto the slide.
"W-What's this?!" Jellal cried out as he held Erza in his arms. Both he and Erza were blushing madly as they slid this way and that.
"The attraction is out of control!" she said as she sat in Jellal's lap. She then looked behind her and immediately concluded as to why it was creating chaos, though she already had a feeling as to who it was. "So you caused this!" she yelled at Natsu, who was motion sick from riding the heart.
"It's not my fault!" he cried out as he tried to hold in his dinner.
"We have to find it!" Nova yelled out as she crawled around on the floor. She scared a couple that was sitting at a table nearby as she emerged from underneath another one. Nova continued to look around frantically on the floor, her eyes scanning it three times before getting up and giving a frustrated sigh.
"Is whatever it is that important…?" Rogue asked as he appeared next to her. Nova gave him an angry glare for asking that in the first place.
"Of course it is!" she screamed at him. "It's very important to me because it was given to me by-" Nova then stopped talking and began blushing madly.
"Who gave it to you?" Rogue asked. Nova just shook her head and wouldn't answer him. It made him just the tiniest bit worried to think that maybe, just maybe, another guy knew Rogue was interested in Nova, and wanted to win her over because they also wanted her. Rogue frowned; there was no way he would let that happen.
"Anyway, it doesn't matter where I got it from; I just need to find it!" Nova said as she grabbed Rogue's arm and ran off to another place they'd been. This time, it was in the cafe. "I'll take the outside, and you can take the inside!" Rogue nodded, and began his search. First, he asked customers if they found any jewelry; none of them had. Then he checked around the tables and on the floor.
As a matter of fact, Rogue didn't know what he was looking for. All Nova would tell him was that it was a piece of silver jewelry with a black gemstone. She wouldn't give him any specifics, but he just shrugged his shoulders and searched based off of that information.
After not finding anything, he went to the staff and asked if they found any jewelry. When he got through half of the members, he finally found one that said he found some earlier, and put it in their lost and found bin for jewelry. Rogue was happy, and asked if he could look through it. The waiter gave him a wary stare, as if trying to warn him ahead of time. At first, Rogue didn't get it, but when he came back with a plastic shoebox full of jewelry, Rogue understood.
So, he chose a table to sit at, and began picking through the jewelry and separating the ones with black gemstones. It was a fairly easy job, because the staff kept all of it separated, which prevented the jewelry from getting tangled together. And there weren't many pieces of jewelry with black gemstones, which meant that there were only a few to choose from.
Rogue was about to take the jewelry he found to Nova and show it to her to see if it was what she was looking for when something at the bottom of the "Lost and Found" box caught his attention. Looking at it, he picked it up with a shocked expression.
So that's why she wouldn't tell me what it looked like specifically… A smile found its way onto his face, and he quickly put the jewelry back into the bin and thanked the waiter, letting him know that he found what he was looking for. After leaving the cafe, he looked around the outside for Nova. He found her standing up scratching the back of her head while staring sadly at the cafe's back wall. Smiling evilly, he snuck up behind her, grabbed her right hand, and slid the ring on her third finger. Nova spun around quickly, her eyes wide in shock.
"Found it." he said, and placed a kiss on her forehead before pulling her into a hug. "Why didn't you just tell me you lost it in the first place?"
"Do you know how stupid that sounds?" She said as she looked up at him. "It would make me look like a bad girlfriend if I lost a piece of jewelry my boyfriend worked so hard to get in the first place…" Now it was Rogue's turn to look shocked. Did she… Did she just call him her boyfriend?! He didn't know how to respond to this, so he continued to hold her in peaceful bliss.
Unfortunately, this peaceful bliss was ruined when Natsu zoomed by them on the decorational heart. The two of them were knocked onto the slide, with Nova lying on top of Rogue. Instinct kicked in, and Rogue wrapped his arms around Nova's waist and flattened her against him. Nova stayed perfectly still, the fear settling into her. Short, shallow breaths were coming from her, and her skin was a ghostly pale. Her hands were clamped onto Rogue's shoulder and felt as if they were getting colder by the second. Nova's eyes were dull and glazed over with fear, and Rogue began to slightly panic. He could also feel the fast beating of Nova's heart and knew that wasn't good. Bringing his attention back to Nova, he noticed that she looked as if she were about to pass out any minute.
"Hey! Stay with me Nova!" he yelled at her. Nova blinked once, but it seemed as though Rogue's voice wouldn't reach her. "Look at me! Nova!" She continued to silently be locked into her own fear, no matter what Rogue did to wake her up. And just as he predicted, Nova fainted. Her head hit his bare chest with a soft thump, and her grip on his shoulders loosened. Trying to stay calm, Rogue only tightened his hold on Nova and hoped for the best.
Suddenly his ear twitched, and he picked up the sounds of two voices he did not want to hear at this moment. Turning Nova's head away from the sounds, he focused on instead how he was going to get her off of the slide safely. He could just wait until they reached the end… There was no telling how long that would take though… Rogue's ear twitched again, and he noticed that the voices were getting louder and louder. Now he could make out what they were saying.
"How the hell did I get stuck on this ride with you?!" Nova's ear twitched at the sound of this voice, but Rogue didn't take notice.
"I could ask you the same thing, you goody two-shoes!"
"Eh? What did you call me you third rate Dragonslayer!" Nova was now squirming, and Rogue stopped listening to the pointless bickering and instead focused on Nova. Soon her eyes opened, and she took in her surroundings immediately.
"Nova… Are you okay?" Rogue asked cautiously. At this moment, two sides of the slide lined up next to each other, and two Dragonslayers were currently sliding down it in a fury. Rogue didn't hear nor smell them; all of his senses were focused on Nova.
"N-No…" she answered quietly, and soon sniffling came afterwards. "I'm scared!" Nova began to cry, and Rogue panicked. This is not good; this is not good at all. He was trapped on a slide that seemed to go on forever. He was currently holding a hydrophobic while sliding down the aforementioned slide. The hydrophobic he was trapped on the Forever Slide with was crying. What in Earthland was he supposed to do?!
"Nova…?" Rogue heard someone say next to him. Instinctively, Rogue turned his head, and instantly regretted it as he came face to face with Aster, who was currently pinned under Sting.
Yup. Things definitely got worse.
"Rogue…? Hey, who is that girl you're holding?" Sting inquired, and Rogue immediately shrugged his shoulders. He was about to give him an explanation as to why they were on this slide together when Sting cut him off. "Is she… crying?" Rogue stiffened and cursed Sting for choosing to be very perceptive at this moment.
"What did you do to her?!" Aster yelled at Rogue. "If I find out you did something to hurt Nova I swear I'll-" Aster didn't get to finish his threat, as Rogue and Nova were yanked into a sharp turn. The last thing he saw was Aster's angry face and Sting's confused one before he and Nova disappeared around the bend. Rogue gave a frustrated groan, knowing he was going to be bombarded with questions the minute Sting saw him. He would have to answer them carefully if he didn't want him finding out about Nova.
"R-Rogue…?" Nova said quietly, getting his attention. If it wasn't for his Dragonslayer hearing, he would've missed what she said next. "D-don't let me go, okay?" Even though she couldn't see it, Rogue nodded, and signified his answer by once again tightening his hold on her.
Suddenly, there were loud crashes from the other side of the pool. Rogue turned his head to see Marina, Lucy, and Juvia sliding down a portion of the slide. Lucy was pinned under Juvia, fearful for her life. Marina was sliding down the slide on her feet, chasing after Juvia and Lucy. Juvia had a determined look on her face, and Marina's beamed brightly.
"Wait a minute! I just want to eradicate your existence so Lyon-sama may be mine!" Marina called out to the two. She then sucked in a big breath. "Roar of the Water Dragon!" A giant twister of water erupted from Marina's mouth, and was headed straight for Lucy and Juvia. Just before the vortex could hit them, the slide veered sharply to the left. Unfortunately, the swirling mass of water didn't, and it continued forward to destroy two pools and a small bar. Marina giggled, and continued to follow Lucy and Juvia, not giving up yet.
"Whoops! I didn't mean to do that!" Marina said as she assessed the damage her attack did. "Hopefully this one won't miss! Wing Slash of the Water Dragon!" The staff of Ryuzetsu Land watched with fearful expressions as the resort was slowly being destroyed.
"It's all going downstream!" They cried out with panicked expressions. There really wasn't much that they could do though; these were professional mages they were up against. And from what they heard, there were monsters in the Fairy Tail Guild! The staff could only watch and hope for the best, but from what they were seeing, it only looked as if it were getting worse.
"Juvia, calm down!" Lucy cried out as she watched her chant about how she was going to destroy her Love Rival. When she heard a scream, Lucy looked to her right and saw that, of all people, Elfman and Evergreen were together on the slide. The only way that could've happened was for them to be together...
"Lucy saw us!" Evergreen cried out to Elfman. He gasped, and looked over, only to see the blonde celestial Spirit mage's eyes boring into them.
"What are going to do about it?!" He said desperately. Evergreen giggled evilly, and then lowered her glasses. Elfman's eyes widened as he realized what she was going to do.
"This is what I'm going to do about it." Elfman couldn't even get a word out before Evergreen solidified him. As they continued to slide down the slide, Evergreen declared, "No one will suspect me of dating a rock!"
Meanwhile, Erza and Jellal slid down the slide in silence. Neither of them had said a word to each other since being forced onto the ride. Finally, Erza broke the silence.
"W-we became a pair, huh?" She said quietly, a faint blush on her cheeks. Jellal responded with a grunt. Suddenly, Jellal could hear a faint ripping sound. Glancing down, he saw that the fabric of Erza's top piece was slowly coming apart, leaving almost nothing in between him and her skin. He began to panic, not knowing what to do. His panic alerted Erza to the problem, and her face heated up rapidly. "D-don't move!" It was already too late, as her bottom piece started to undo as well. Jellal couldn't handle it anymore, and his nose shot out a fountain of blood, causing him to faint.
"Hang in there!" Erza called out desperately. It was of no use though; Jellal had already passed out.
Meanwhile, Levy and Gajeel were sliding down the slide in peaceful bliss (or as peaceful as it could be with those two) when Levy broke the silence. "This is getting awkward…"
Gajeel didn't respond, so Levy continued to talk. "Things have gone out of control... You'd be embarrassed if anyone else saw us like this, right? I wouldn't mind if anyone else saw us…"
At this, Gajeel pulled Levy closer to him, much to her surprise. Levy looked up at him, hope fluttering in her heart. "Hey… I… Feel sick!"
"Motion Sickness?!" Levy cried out as she and Gajeel continued to slide down. Meanwhile, on Gray and Lyon's end of the slide, an argument was underway.
"Freeze!" Gray growled to Lyon.
"You freeze!" Lyon hissed back as he leaned closer to Gray. "You wanna go?"
Gray leaned in as well. "Oh, you bet!"
The two began releasing their power with all of their might, causing everything around them to start to freeze. As they (FINALLY) reached the pool at the end of the slide, it froze over. Everyone tried to get out of the way of the oncoming ice, but it was no use; everything was captured in it.
Natsu was knocked off of the Heart, and fell onto the now frozen slide. "What the hell?! Gray, what do you think you're doing-whoa!" As he got up, his hand was encapsulated in flames. "Y-you idiot… Don't freeze the damn pool!"
"Natsu, don't!" everyone cried out, watching as the Fire Dragonslayer destroyed the ice with one punch. This caused everything to explode, throwing everyone in random directions.
"Take that! I win!" Natsu triumphantly said, oblivious to the mess he created around him. More than half of the group was now naked, with the others landing in awkward positions.
"He's really done it now…" Happy said, floating above the mess.
"Fairy Tail will have to pay for all the damages done to the place," the officer said, much to the dismay of Makarov and the First Master, who began crying when they heard the price.
"I've had enough for one night…" Nova said tiredly, while laying on her stomach, topless. Rogue was on top of her, laying on his back. He grunted out a response, signaling he agreed with her.
"Is this what you guys do to have fun…?"
