I see Tobi immediately and indicate to my ship. He follows me inside the small craft and he looks me in the eyes, confused.
"I am fed up Tobi. I am fed up of keeping emotions bottled up. I am fed up of trying to protect my brother from the dark side when he so willingly walks into harm's way. They said that Jedi don't worry about attachments because most don't have them in the first place." Tobi wraps me into his arms quickly and I start to sob weakly.
"I know, I know. Can anyone sense us right now?"
"No. I have one of those weird lizard things that absorbs the force. Nobody will be able to detect us at all while we're on this ship."
"Didn't you say that we needed self control more than anything right now?"
"Kriff that." I say before reaching up and kissing him. He seems surprised but he can only control himself for so long. Unfortunately, he has more self control than I'd anticipated and he pulls away soon after the kiss begins. He looks down at me, frowning. He shakes his head a little and I shoot him a questioning look.
"Ratha no. Not like this."
"Sorry."
"I understand that your mother died and your emotions are completely out of control but you don't want this. I know it. Just step back, use the force."
"I can't. Kriffing lizard. I need this. I need your comfort." I say, pressing myself against his chest. I feel him pressing against my mind with the force. He flinches back immediately.
"Ratha let go. I know that you're feeling a lot of grief right now but you're welcoming the dark side. Think of what happened in the tomb. Think of if you'd given in then. You were always strong against the dark side, please." I take a deep breath in and then collapse to my knees. Without the dark side to cling on to I have no energy left. Fortunately, Tobi senses this and catches me. Then the tears come. He picks me up and carries me to a med centre where I pass out. Voices around me shout urgently. Then I fall into nothingness.
The young Jedi is placed on to the medical table. Med droids swarm around her, doing various jobs. The older Jedi stands in the corner of the room and watches the whole thing until the droids start cutting open the young woman. Then he leaves. The eldest of the two Jedi leaves the room, unable to watch. The operation lasts for a painstakingly long time and the Jedi Knight believes it to be torturous. However, when he looks back into the surgery room he finds that the droids have finished operating and she is dreaming. Well, a nightmare could be called a dream. He enters her mind cautiously, wary of the last nightmare of hers that he saw.
The Jedi temple is up in flames. A padawan is shot trying to run away. A Jedi master is slain by a cloaked figure. Several others are shot by an unknown source. The cloaked figure has a blue lightsaber but yellow eyes. As the dream continues more and more people are slain by this mysterious person. This hateful murderer has slain younglings. At the end of the dream the person flicks their hood back and the dream ends before their face can be seen.
I jolt upwards suddenly, looking into Tobi's eyes I can tell that he saw the dream. My head falls into my hands and I start to stand up. Tobi runs in and grabs my wrist.
"Are you okay?"
"Do I kriffing look okay to you?"
"Calm down. It was just a dream."
"You know just as well as I do that it was not just a dream. That was a vision."
"Calm. Use the force to guide you." I take a deep breath but I can't shake that vision away.
"We need to get to the council."
"I know. Come." He leads me back to my ship after telling his droid to take his starfighter back to Coruscant. The journey back is long and metaphorically painful. By the time we get back to Coruscant he is huffing and puffing like there's no tomorrow.
"Master, we-"
"I told you not to call me that."
"But you are my Master."
"Not anymore."
"What?"
"I'm going to ask for you to be given a new master. I thought I could do it but I can't."
"You're giving up on me?"
"Don't word it like that."
"But you are."
"You're too powerful for me to train! You need someone stronger to train you, someone on the council." I take a step back disbelievingly and his face turns cold, hardened.
"I thought you believed in me, in my strength! Why aren't you-"
"Because I'd send you off to the trials too early. You wouldn't be ready and you'd end up dead because of me."
"And here was me thinking you believed in me."
