Chapter 12: The beginning of a Legacy part 2.

Now then (…in the voice of Professor Farnsworth) Good news everyone! You get the treat of three new chapters instead of just one!

So here we go, first big super hero VS super villain battle, I just put what was in my head and let it rip so I hope you like it and if not I will have to do better next time.

Chapter 12: The beginning of a Legacy part 2.
LA, the site of battle…
It was pure and utter chaos, plain and simple, as two opposing forces clashed in the streets of LA in order to overcome one another and achieve their objectives.
Upon delivering their battle cry Xander led the charge against the villains who were just now reacting to their presence. Deathstroke acted first as he pulls a pair of handguns and begins to fire at the augmented teen only for Joyce to raise a shield that catches the bullets while making sure no ricochets catch some innocent bystander.
"Pick your targets people!" He shouts as he moves towards Deathstroke as soon as he holsters his guns and goes for his staff that is soon sporting a wicked blade at one end. The assassin meets him head on with a thrust of his weapon which he flips over as he uses his shield to defend himself as Slade reverses the spear so as to try to stab him as he lands only for it to be deflected to the right as he ducks down and executes a spinning leg sweep that catches the man off guard though he rolls away to get distance.
"Hmm, not bad stranger." The hired gun idly comments as he and his opponent circle one another while looking for openings.
"Back at you." Xander comments while maintaining his clam demeanor in the face of who he is facing.
When they set off down this path Willow had taken it upon herself to discreetly hack several government criminal databases and borrowed their files on the multiple criminals (metahuman and not) that plagued the world and made sure each of their teammates understood what to expect now that they were getting involved in that aspect of the world.
So knowing he was facing off against a man like Deathstroke who could very well go toe to toe with many a member of the Justice League he was going to take this battle seriously.
Deathstroke attacks quickly and precisely with his second favored weapon doing a series of thrusts and slashes that under normal circumstances would have already resulted in his opponent's death given the speed and power behind them.
But in this case it seems normal was not on the menu today given how the young man he was facing either dodged or deflected the blade with relative ease. In fact he finds himself having to defend more so than usual like now as the patriotically garbed hero threw his shield at him which he batted away only to see it rebound of a nearby car, then lamp post before finally returning to the man's outstretched hand which the young man held at the ready as he charges forwards.
*That is no ordinary shield.* Slade thinks to himself as he gives the charging young man a narrowed gaze. Meeting his charge with one of his own he begins the battle anew with his naginata moving swiftly at his opponents in an intricate and deadly dance that would have the likes of Batman, Green Arrow and Black Canary hard pressed to endure.
Yet Xander though hard pressed was in fact enduring as he weaves around the deadly attacks or using his patriotic shield to deflect the blade which only served to irritate and yet also intrigue the assassin who rarely faced such a challenge.
The young Captain America sees a chance to gain ground as he allows a thrust to pass leaving an angry red line on his left cheek before he grasps the weapon in an iron grip while his opponent tries to pull it back to no avail, acting quickly Xander uppercuts the weapon with his shield and cleaves it in half. Deathstroke is caught off guard which costs him as the young man continued the spin to land a hard heel kick to the sternum that sent Slade rocketing towards a car which causes him to flip over the hood after his back makes contact.
"Ugh!"
As the hired killer recoups he hears running footsteps and looks over the hood only to see a pair of red boots slam into his masked face that makes him fall back hard, his troubles didn't end there as Xander straddles his waist and rains blow after blow on his head until catches his fists and kicks him off.
Xander pulls his shield off his back as Deathstroke looks back at him with his single eye narrowed in what he can only guess is anger as he unsheathes his sword.
"Congratulations boy, you now have my full attention!"
"Bring it!"
Both augmented warriors charge one another while Xander's team wages their own fights.
Such as the one being fought by this universes new webslinger as he was dodging gunfire by the clown prince of crime, he would have gone invisible by now but given that there could still be bystanders nearby it was better to keep the focus on him until such time he could take the psychotic man down…of course that didn't mean he couldn't mess with him a bit.
"Who taught you how to shoot? I mean a blind man would have at least nicked me by now." Oz quips as he flips a car that is suddenly riddled with bullets.
Joker not one to be made a fool of did not take kindly to his adversaries taunts, if make he was growing more furious by the second.
"What did that poor car do deserve getting shot." He heard from this masked fool.
"Shut up! I'm the only one allowed to make the jokes around here!" the pale faced man shouted as he reloads.
"But I'm so much better at it, I mean you can't even make a man dressed as a bat chuckle."
"SHUT UP!" Joker screams in rage as to him that last insult would not stand.
*CLICK!* both weapons went as they were without ammo.
*Now's my chance!* The spider themed hero thinks as he leaps high in to the air and spots the madman who was caught off guard at the sight and drops the guns and pulls out a pair knives.
Not that it helps as he spins left to avoid a stab and bats away the other hand just as he lands before the maniac. His spider sense granting him a level of awareness as he weaves around the man who terrorizes Gotham all the while he mocks his attempts…
"Oh close."
"Swing a' miss Chuckles!"
"Are you even trying?"
"My grandmother is faster than you!"
Joker is not taking this well of course as each quip is akin to a dagger to his ego.
"You bastard! I make the jokes around here! Me! Not you freak!" He shouts as he thrusts his right hand towards the man's heart only for his arm to be caught in his grip.
"Playtimes over Bozo, time for you to take a nap." Spider-man simply replies as he begins his assault by upper cutting his jaw hard enough to break it, followed soon by a spin kick that launches the killer away only to be suddenly stopped a web strand that reals him back towards the hero who tumbles onto his back and delivers a double kick to the stomach that pushes him high into the air where he is suddenly cocooned by wallcrawler.
It does little to mitigate the impact once he falls onto the ground though given his broken jaw he can only groan in pain.
"Lights out It." Joker hears before he gets punted in the head and the lights go out.
"Hmm well that was fun, now to help the others." Oz says as he looks towards the others and sees Xander could use some help, he decided to go stealth for this one.
Xander was sporting some bruises on his face but was still in the fight as he held a loose boxing stance with his shield at the ready as he stares at Deathstroke who while not showing it was frustrated that he was having trouble with the teen.
"Who are you people? You're clearly not part of the League." He asks as he begins to circle the super soldier who does the same while his sword is just waiting to be released.
"Never pegged you for a talker." Xander replies as he keeps ready for an attack.
"You've peeked my interest!" He shouts as he lunges swings from the right only to be blocked, using the rebound to spin back and go for the legs only for Xander to flip back and finally as he rises he lunges again as his opponent lands only for the teen to spin left and shield bash his head.
"Ugh!" Slade cries out from the hit, he was just lucky his helmet provides some measure of protection.
Xander once more stands ready as he sees the man rolls onto his legs and back at the ready. However before Deathstroke can make another move his legs are suddenly stuck on the ground with what look like webs and his arms are pulled back.
"WHAT!?"
"Now Cap!" Spider-man shouts as he reappears holding the assassin in place.
The Captain didn't hesitate as he drops his shield and begins to rain blow after blow on the captured villain's torso with as much strength he could muster. Punch after punch struck the man who desperately tried to break free from the hold but no matter how much he tries he can't over power him.
*How is he this strong!?* He furiously thinks as he is being struck, he tried to headbutt his captor but every attempt was thwarted as if he knew he was going to strike.
"Spidey! Let him go now!" Xander orders before he finally delivers an uppercut to the chin that snapped his head back and his body to fall onto the ground.
"Nice form Cap." Spidey comments.
"Thanks now let's see anyone needs help." Xander says as he grabs his shield.
While Oz and Xander restrain the assassin the eldest and youngest of the Summers women have their hands full with their own villain and her unwilling thralls.
This mother daughter duo were currently dealing with said thralls as well as ten large humanoids with bulging "muscles" and brown veins as well as sporting large needle like claws that seemed to drip some sickly looking sap. She had just dropped some odd seeds into the soil of a nearby tree and from it they erupted.
Dawn was literally running through the brainwashed guards and plant monsters with ease while her mother was holding a force field around herself so as to draw attention and not have them fire bullets at innocent bystanders.
Needless to say, Ivy was not happy as the two were practically untouchable to her children and thralls.
"Kill them both my babies, even if you have to go through the useless meat sacks as well!" She orders callously with no regret at the deaths of the enslaved guards.
"Mom!" Dawn cried out in worry as she grabbed a guard and phases him in order to avoid a wicked slash from one of the plant creatures.
"I know!" Joyce replies back as she captures two guards in a invisible clamp and throws them toward a trio of them at her back. Seeing movement on her right she sees two plant creatures charge her flank, she in turn narrowed her eyes and holds out a hand towards them.
Both creatures slam into an invisible wall and are suddenly captured in a prism, with a single thought she closes her fist….
*SQUELCH!*
"MY BABIES!" Ivy screams in horror as she feels their deaths.
"Oh come off it lady! You practically sent them to their death." Shadowcat rebukes as she dives between the legs of another creature as it takes a swipe at her, she then grabs its legs and phases it into the concrete until only its head remains before she lets go and essentially decapitates it earning another scream.
She feels movement behind her and sees a another monster approach, this time she hardens herself and watches the monsters claws shatter on her hyper dense skin. It bellows in agony that it doesn't see the girl suddenly float in the air but certainly feels the two feet that crush its body.
*CRUNCH!*
"Ok that was a bit much I think." Dawn comments but keeps moving to take out more guards and monsters.
*EWWW! Monster slime!*
Joyce continues to make full use of Susan Storm's gifts as she fires of translucent spheres into the stomachs of the guards to get them out of the fight as she knocks the air out of them. As for the plant monsters she makes them regret attacking her and her daughter as she either crushes them or slices them with an invisible sword that carves through them easily.
Seeing her babies die and thralls fail in their attempts in stopping the two she tries to make a brake for it only to literally run through Shadowcat who lets her do so before quickly turning and grabbing the redhead's long hair and yanking back hard with her enhanced strength to slam her into the street to knock her out.
"That's one less psycho to worry about mom." She says as she faces her mother who is finishing the last of the plant monster with another makeshift press.
"Let's get these guards out of danger and then we help the others." Joyce orders as she makes platforms for the knocked out men while Dawn nods and goes hyper dense for the added strength. They had good cause to do so as not far Iron Woman was trading shots with the brilliant and deadly Ultra Humanite who was quite liberal with the use of his energy cannon
"Stand still cretin!" The Ultra Humanite bellows as the mutated scientist fires its energy cannon at the armored Avenger.
"Hmm, about no." Willow replies as she aims her right forearm and releases 8 micro missiles at the villain. As soon as he sees them he runs as fast as he can and leaps over car just as the missiles detonate.
Humanite grunts as the shockwave shatters the cars windows and forces him to cover his face…which of course let's Willow get the drop on him as she flies towards him and smashes both fists into his back.
"Argh!"
"Oh suck it up you big hairy baby!" The armored heroine chides as she throws him towards the pavement.
By some stroke of luck he still held on to the energy weapon as evidenced as he rolls onto his back and fires at her. However she shows the abilities of her Extremis armor by having it form a concave shield on the left arm that absorbs the blast while her right arm forms a blaster that fires repulsor blasts at the white gorilla.
"Oh damn it all!" He shouts as he rolls away to avoid them while pulling a sphere of its belt to hurl at the young woman.
"Shit!" Willow curses as she shrinks the shield and places it on the grenade while mentally ordering her armor to feed more power to that section as her feet morph to dig into the street.
*WHUMP!*
The street cracks under the pressure but no shrapnel is thrown and the explosion is contained, while she was distracted though the Ultra Humanite circled back and fires at her unprotected back.
"Ugh!" She cried out though her systems show no major damage; however that only served to piss her off as she rolls into an upright position with her palms up.
"You damn dirty ape, you wanna play rough? OKAY!" and with that four arc shaped mechanisms pop from her back while her forearms opened up to reveal four glowing barrels all humming with power.
"Oh hell…" The villain says despondently just as power reaches its peak and he is blasted back into the building they had just robbed by a large blue beam that leaves him embedded into a wall.
"Shoot me behind my back will you? I think not." Willow mocks before seeing one of her teammates having issues with one of the villains.
Said hero being Cordelia as she was trading blows with the Atomic Skull who was proving he could take a punch from the likes of her though he was finding the jade skinned teen could take some punishment herself after shaking off a right hook to the face.
"You asshole…" She shouts as she spins kicks him in the chest that it sends him the skull faced villain away "…you're lucky these bruises fade fast!"
"Eat this!" He shouts as he fires energy beams from his visage.
Cordelia charged using her right hand to take the blast what with radiation not really being a problem for someone with her power set, though she did grit her teeth as she struggled with the force behind the beam until finally gave a challenging roar she grabbed her opponent by the head, pulled him up and then slammed him into the ground with tremendous force.
"BOOM!"
Forming a crater and leaving the mutated man disoriented…which was made worse as she straddles him and begins to rain blow after blow on his glowing skull.
"Ugh! Get off me bitch!" He shouts as he manages to throw a right hook only to have it caught in the crook of her arm while with her other she viciously delivers her own right hook and then after that she backhands him with the same fist.
"Not today asshole." She spat as she stands up suddenly and pulls him up by his armor.
"She-Hulk!" Willow cries out earning the gamma powered teens attention as she sees the Iron avenger approach at high speed "…swing him my way will ya!"
Cordelia nods as she spins Atomic Skull around like he was the ball in the shot put event at the Olympics before finally launching him towards Willow who has her left arm change into a mini pile driver with a repulsor at the back that as soon as the villain was in range ignited and propelled the makeshift weapon into its "face".
"KRAKOOM!"
He never saw it coming as his body carved a crater into the pavement. He groans in pain as he flips onto his stomach and gets on his hands to push off the ground. He sees a pair of red armored boots before him and spots Willow standing in triumph with her hands on her hips, mustering his power he prepares to blast her with his face when he sees her look up, only for his world to explode in pain.
Cordelia didn't want to give the man more time to counter so as soon as he hit the ground she jumps high into the air and slams her knees into the man back to finally deliver him into unconsciousness.
"You enjoyed that didn't you?" The redhead asks in amusement.
"You bet your ass I did." The gamma empowered teen says with a satisfied smirk.
"Well I hope you are up for more because from what my sensors are telling we still got two powerhouses to deal with." The young genius speaks grimly from what her armor is telling her.
"Then it's time to end this." They hear behind them making them turn to see the others there.
"Any ideas stars and stripes?" She-Hulk asks in all seriousness.
"I got two so listen up…" the Xander began to say to the others…
Meanwhile the three sorcerers were clashing in an construction lot Jenny had teleported them to, much to the surprise of Wotan as he was not familiar with the incantation she had used.
"I have faced the likes of Dr. Fate or even that fool Zatara and yet you are proving to be just as annoying them!" He shouts as he fires gouts of flames from his hands towards Rupert.
"By the Seven Rings of Raggadorr." He invokes and gestures as seven glowing blue rings encompass his body and part the flames around him with ease.
"What!?" The ancient sorcerer can't believe that his flames would be so easily bested.
*Even Fate was weary of them!*
"You call that fire?" He hears behind him and sees the other one, this woman if she could be called that who radiated magic as if given birth by it, who also gestures two glowing mandalas in her hands "…try this, by the Flames of the Faltine!"
Mystical flame roared to life from her glowing hands and surged towards Wotan who conjures a wall of ice to defend himself, though it is of little help as the fire begins to burn through his construct.
"No! This cannot be!" He shouts in fury as the wall collapses and he is forced to dodge the mystical flames.
Before he can recoup and retaliate he is struck from behind by Rupert with the Bolts of Balthakk.
"Ugh!" the force imbued in the two beams launches him into a steel girder and makes him crumble to the ground. Though not for long as he snarls in fury before directing his hateful gaze at the two sorcerers' for their audacity in challenging him.
He stood back and spoke in his native language as he launches black lighting from his hands at the two. Both Rupert and Jenny form a barrier and try to withstand the assault but find themselves struggling as this new spell is more potent that what Wotan had previously used against them.
"Rupert I don't think can hold back this one." Jenny says through her teeth as she pours more power into the barrier.
"We may not have to." He replies to his love in an equally strained voice and yet it also carried a hint of confidence. She spared a look at the direction he was looking at and understand why he said that.
"Hey horn head!" The voice of Xander rang out as he shield flew towards the sorcerer who cancels his spell and uses a barrier at the last minute. This is but a short victory as he is suddenly grabbed by an invisible force from behind.
"What!?"
It soon revealed that both Joyce and Cordelia have sneaked behind the man thanks to the Invisible Woman allowing the gamma powered teen to quickly latch onto him as her powerful arms wrap around his waist.
"Going up…" She says just he hurls him up into the air only for two strands of webbing to latch onto his back.
"…and going down!" he ends as he pulls Wotan down hard.
"Ugh!"
"Not over yet pal!" Shadowcat comments as she increases her density and throws the man towards Xander who tackles him with his shield.
"Argh!" Wotan cries out as he feels some ribs break from the impact both from the near indestructible shield as well as landing on the hard ground.
He coughs up some blood that only fuels his rage as he struggles to stand up.
"I will flay you all alive and pour salt in your wounds then feed you to the hounds of Hell!" He cries out.
"I think not!" Rupert cries out as he and Jenny float into air with their hands glowing with power.
"I call upon the Chains of Krakkan!" She invokes as mystical chains bind his body much to his shock, but she was far from done.
"….and the Sapphire Bands of Storaan!" she finishes as he is not further trapped by a constricting band of blue energy.
He tried to summon his power to free himself but found it difficult given the unknown nature of these spells; his time ran out as Rupert now decided to end the fight.
"By the Shackles of Sheol I cast you away!" He cries out as his power flares and adds another layer of binding to the ancient sorcerer whose face was not locked in disbelief and panic.
"This is not possible!" He shouts as he is transported far away to parts unknown.
"Well that just leaves one last bad guy to deal with and right now we can't get to him and Buffy on account that they are ducking it out in the sky." Cordelia comments as she looks up to further exemplify this.
"Trust that Willow and Buffy can get him ground side as we planned, Giles and Jenny listen up because this is what is going to happen if we want to take this guy down." Xander says to the two lovers as the battle was far from over.
While the battle on the ground ended up in the sky a battle between two godlike beings rages as Buffy bobbed and weaved around the ruler of Kahndaq. She sometimes was forced to block his blows which, while powerful, she could take on better than if she were still a Slayer and therefore mortal.
"Face me godling! Face the might of Teth-Adam!" He taunts as he flies at her with both his fist forward to attack again.
"Yeah that sounds like a great idea!" She sarcastically rebukes as she tries to come up with a plan against this powerful foe.
*Really should of practice more aerial sword play…wait!* She suddenly thinks as she pulls out the weapon gifted to her by Torunn.
"Hey asshole!" She says as she hurls her blade at villain "…catch!"
*Fool!* He arrogantly thinks and shows with a smirk as he stops mid air and lets the blade pass him on the right and just before it out of reach he grasps the handle with the intent of hurling it back at her only for him to suddenly plummet as the blade has suddenly gained tremendous weight.
*What manner of sorcery is this!?* He furiously thinks as he lets go of the blade, his brief respite is broken as his opponent takes this moment of distraction to slam her armored shin into his back and hurls him below.
"Argh!"
Buffy presses the attack while she can as she launches after him, as soon as she catches up to villain she straddles his waist and locks her legs around him where from there she begins to punch his face with all her might leaving shockwaves as flesh meets flesh. Lefts and rights fly as fast as she can deliver them though at one point Teth-Adam tries to retaliate by throwing a right hook she bats away and then grabs him by the collar of his uniform to pull his face forward while she rams her metal headdress into his nose.
*CRUNCH!*
Blood flies from his now broken nose as he was hurled away once she released him from her hold. He righted himself in time to block another kick which used as a chance to grab her leg and throw her away. Taking a moment he reached for his nose and pull his bloody fingers away, the sight of his own blood only adding fuel to his rage as he took both hands and set his nose straight.
"I will take great pleasure from the pain I shall inflict upon you godling!" He venomously spat at Buffy who had retrieved her sword and now held it at the ready, however before he could charge her…
"Heads up!" He hears another woman cry out behind him just as he is struck by a repulsor blast.
"Ugh!" He cries out as the beam slams into him.
"Good of you to join the party Ironwoman." Buffy says in thanks as she could use a hand with the powerful villain.
"Eh, I was in the neighborhood and thought why not?"
"Good point but get ready because chuckles over there is now even more pissed." Buffy warns her as she can tell they have truly pissed him off.
"That's actually part of the plan." Willow comments as she has her systems at the ready.
"What plan?" She asks.
"We need to get him groundside so all of us can wail on him together, try to use your lighting when you see an opening." The redhead says just as Black Adam launches himself at the duo. Buffy charges with her sword ready to cleave the man or at least tries to as he evades her strike as he is now weary of her weapon and sees him go for Willow who is already flying away as fast as she can.
Adam is relentless as he goes after her to make her pay for her meddling as he makes grabs towards the young woman. Willow for her part is dodging left and right mostly thanks to her armors sensors working into overtime to predict his movements, she is well aware her armor while powerful might not handle a being of his strength.
"Track target, warn me of his next pass and have all weapons primed and ready to fire on my command." She orders as he icon pops up that shows where Adam is. The next few seconds are tense she needs to get this just right.
Then her armor signaled an impending strike from the man hence she shuts off the flight system and drops just before he can grab her. As gravity takes over she turns to face him as he looks at her in confusion.
"Fire everything!" She commands as her armor has her arms more and missile ports open up. Adam is suddenly caught in a barrage that forces him to shield himself as small but powerful missiles, laser and repulsors pelt him in an unexpected barrage.
Still they don't cause much damage given how powerful he is but that wasn't her intent.
"NOW!" Black Adam hears her shout making him realize the mistake his made, he lost track of the other woman! He turns in the direction he thinks she is and sees Buffy with her sword held high while it glows with electrical power, she then aims her blade at him and from it a powerful of lighting surges forth and strikes his body.
"Agh!" He can't help but cried out as he is being electrocuted by the power the goddess wields, his troubles don't end as Willow is flying once more and has her arms together form a large cannon.
"All power to repulsors!" The ancient tyrant is soon blasted by the powerful beam as well as the divine lighting which sends him back to the ground.
"Come on Buffy, we got to end this quick!"
"Lead the way Willow." Buffy agrees as both women chase after the man as he falls to earth and crashes into the same place Wotan fell. Fate it seem had favored them with a battle ground where they can cut loose.
*BOOM!*
Black Adam groans as he struggled to get up from the crater he just made while also trying shake off the effects of Buffy's lighting whose properties made it differ from the natural one or even his own.
He had just gotten to his feet before he is suddenly blinded by a grey substance over his face.
*What!?* He furiously thinks as he reaches for the web, however he does not get far as he is suddenly blindsided by a powerful punch to the face that launches him away from the crater.
"Ugh!"
His troubles don't end there as he is suddenly being pressed into the ground by some powerful force, naturally he fights against this force with all his might as he gets on his hands and knees but is caught off guard as the force is suddenly lifted making him quickly upright where once more his head made a target by powerful bolt of magic that does manage to cause some pain.
Once more he powers through this and rips of the webbing just in time to shield to the face that snaps his head back and grimace in pain as there seems to be something enchanted in the object. He is now beyond furious as he glares at the figures who had dared to strike him, this being the combined might of She-Hulk, Spider-man, the Invisible Woman, Jenny and Captain America.
"I will kill you all for this insult!"
"Banzai!" He heard above him just in time for the back of his head to explode in pain as Willow delivered a repulsor assisted spin kick. As he was distracted he was then struck by Rupert who blitzes him with bolt of magic that hits him dead center and launches him onto the street.
"Good form Ironwoman!" Xander shouts while Jenny gives her love a nod of approval as she and the others move to attack.
"Thanks Cap!"
Rupert and Jenny conjure a mystical mist that blocks them from his sight yet also to permit their team to strike at the villain. Cordelia was the first to strike as she rams her fist on his jaw while moving out to avoid getting caught.
She is followed by Dawn who increases her density delivers a kick to the back of his knee that unbalances him thus his backhand loses accuracy, not that it would have worked as she phases as soon as it comes.
"Where are you!?" The furious shout comes as Teth-Adam's blood boils with rage.
His answer is in the form of Joyce slamming another force field into him.
"Grrr! You think this will stop me!? I am Black Adam and none who face me survive!"
"Oh get over yourself." Buffy rebukes as she launches another bolt of lightning at the man who cries out once more as he is struck. Meanwhile Xander approaches Cordelia who is looking for an opening.
"How good is your aim?"
"Why?" She can't help but ask.
"Taking a page out of the X-men playbook if you know what I mean." He replies with a smirk, it takes her a moment before she smirks herself as she figures it out.
Back with Black Adam who suddenly finds himself being pelted by magic from both Sorcerers under this blasted mist he is now coming to utterly hate.
"Enough!" He roars as he slams his hands together to disperse the fog, this minor show of force however did nothing to stop Xander and Cordelia as the latter had the former by his belt and then spun him around twice before launching him at the man who was caught off guard as he was struck by the nigh indestructible shield.
*SPANG!*
"Argh!" the villain cries out as once more his face bled from the force with which the shield struck him. Xander spun in the air after hitting the target before using his shield to absorb the impact from his fall; he quickly turns towards Cordelia, Buffy and Willow…
"He's all your ladies!"
The three quickly rush to strike the man while he is still disoriented from the blow. Xander figured that they were the most physically capable to knocking out the powerful man out while he is disoriented.
Willow struck first as he she punches his knee on the side to unbalance him, this was soon followed by Cordelia who strikes with a right hook to his left abdominal and then Buffy comes in to a back spin quick to the jaw to which hears it crack from the blow.
Now in a loose triangle each woman rains blow after blow on the man who can't mount a defense or attack as each try is swiftly denied by the trio.
He goes for a left hook at Buffy and has a fist from Cordelia crash into his skull.
Tries to back hand Cordelia he gets only to get a kick to the stomach by Willow.
Tries to go for Willow and he gets a knee to the ribs by Buffy.
Black Adam was being pulverized and he knew it, yet still he remained defiant as he would not let these three teenagers get away with this affront to his royal personage. Seeing an opening he summons forth lighting from his hands and fires it at the closest target, this being Willow.
"Look out!" Both Buffy and Cordelia cry out as they try to reach her only to watch in horror as she was struck, however as the young redhead braced herself her on board computer told her some rather odd news…
-Warning power levels at 400% recommend immediate discharge-
"Huh, how about that." She says out loud before she commands all power to the uni-beam and fired a powerful blast at her enemy who was wide eyed as his attack failed before his body was launched away.
His smoking body crashes hard into the pavement leaving another crater behind as well him groaning in pain, not even after battling Shazam has he felt like this. As he struggles to get up he feels the earth tremble before two slender arms wrap around his waist and pulls him up followed by his head slamming into the concrete once more.
Cordelia doesn't let go as she pulls him again though he manages to connect an elbow to the forehead that rattles her. After being released Black Adam delivers a right hook to her stomach and a left hook to the face, before she can pull away Adam grabs her and knees her stomach two times and as she bends down he prepares to slam his fist into the back of the head before once more he is grabbed from behind by Buffy who also delivers a suplex that slams him into the ground.
However unlike Cordelia she does release him and grabs his legs and swings him around and into the enlarged armored fists of Willow who slams them into the back of his skull as he was going to do to the gamma powered teen.
"Ugh!"
"Hurt my teammate will you!" She shouts as she pulls him up and goes for an uppercut though he quickly grabs her in a bear hug causing warning to blare as he begins to crush her like as if she was wearing aluminum.
"You are the first who shall feel my vengeance!" He spat with hatred.
"Like hell asshole." Willow grunts as she fires her repulsors into his eyes making him scream as he is more blinded than hurt. He does drop which is all the opening that Buffy needs as she electrocutes him with her sword causing him to convulse from the attack.
Cordelia for her part is healed enough to stand and charges the villain as he faces her, once close she decides to ends this as she swings her leg and nails him right between his…
"UGH!" Super powered being or not a blow there was nothing even he could pass off which only makes him vulnerable as bend over which leaves him open to receive an elbow to the back of the head followed by her knee snapping his head up in a bloody shower before she grabs him by the neck and slams her fist with all her fury enhanced strength that spun him around before he finally fell.
"Damn." Xander says as he and the others approach.
"He pissed me off, and you know how that is never a good thing with a Hulk." She replies as she calms down.
"She does raise a good point." Oz points out thoughtfully as he sees the Jenny and Rupert to place multiple binding spells on Black Adam.
"So how about victory pizza?" Willow starts as she is just glad they won.
"We can't leave yet Willow." Xander says as the others look to him.
They all face him as he stares at all the battle damage.
"We still have work to do…" he says as he turns towards Giles and Jenny.
"Doc, if you and miss Calendar know any healing spells as well as anything that can restore the damage use them now, start with the people that got brainwashed." He then moved towards Willow.
"Wills your armor must have some sort of bio sensor if my memories are right, locate anyone in the vicinity who looks like he can use a hand."
"While she does that the rest of us secure these guys and once Willow does her thing we help anyone who needs it while EMT's get here." With that said the patriotically garbed teen began to move towards Black Adam to carry him.
"Damn…" Buffy can't help but say in the face of Xander taking charge while Cordelia nods as she and Dawn give him considering looks.
Joyce, Willow, Rupert and Jenny for their part are quite proud of him as shown in their smiles they were as they set out heed his orders.
And so that is the scene the police, ambulances and of course news networks arrive to as they see these unknown heroes helping people.
Either it was seeing Oz stuck to a wall as he passes hurt people to a flying Buffy and Willow from a 5th story window, Jenny healing the wounded with her spells while Cordelia and Joyce are comforting some people who are in shock or finally seeing Xander & Dawn helping them towards any available ambulance while behind him Rupert is repairing a building with his magic.
The reporters tried to get them to talk but the heroes just remained focused on their tasks until one approached Xander as he is seeing to a security guard to an EMT.
"Excuse me! Excuse me! Can you please tell us who you are!?" A reporter of Hispanic features approached quickly as she sees this as a chance to ask him questions.
"Ma'am please, we are in the middle of rescue operations." He replied as he deposits the guard who is attended by the paramedics.
"But the viewers want to know who you are, where you came from and if you are affiliated with the Justice League." She asks quickly as he sees him getting ready to move.
"Be that as it may the people here need us more, now if you will please excuse me." Xander politely and firmly says to her as he moves towards more wounded.
So it went that the Avengers helped the civilians while the cameras rolled until they were finished by sundown. Though later on the networks would wonder why the faces of the heroes were so blurry or their voices somewhat distorted not knowing Giles and Jenny had quietly cast a glamour spell on the team.
"Ok people time to move out!" Xander shouts while Rupert spun his hand in a circle that was shooting of sparks until a large portal to Sunnydale opens. The team moved towards the portal while many reporters cried out for a comment, only one broke away from the pack and it was the same woman Xander had spoken too briefly.
"Wait! Who are you!?" She shouts over the other voices.
Xander looks to his friends and teammates for a brief moment, getting nods of approval to his unasked question.
"Who are we? We are the Avengers ma'am and we are here to fight the foes no one hero can fight alone and we vow to make sure the people of this word know they are protected." He spoke confidently as he gave them a salute before he and the others entered the portal.
As soon as they left many people were left wondering what more was there to these mysterious new champions who had appeared from nowhere to save the day. They weren't the only ones as two organizations with opposing ideals wondered why they had never seen or heard of these Avengers before and wondered what effects they would bring now that they were revealed.
Back in Sunnydale, Summer's home…
Right the team was in the home of Joyce Summer snacking on pizza and soda as a celebration of their victory over the villains and helping the civilians who were caught in the crossfire, which thankfully no fatality occurred much to their relief.
Much laughter and camaraderie was present in the living room with the adults saying how proud they were of the young ones actions while they in turn were glad they made it out ok from their first battle with supervillains.
"Ladies and gents a toast to us and our first successful mission!" The Sentinel of Liberty says with happiness as he raises his class to the team "…I know we may not always be this lucky but together we will weather any storm that comes at us like a true team."
"Hear hear!" Willow cheers as she and the others raise their glasses in turn.
They all could agree with the young man's words, and that was good for sooner than they thought they would need to prove just how united they were…
Home of the Harris family…
Tony Harris was currently watching the sports channel while drinking his 3rd beer of the night. His wife Jessica was in the kitchen making a drink for herself after another grueling day at work. The thought of where their son was at the moment not really a priority for either as it had been for some years after they lost themselves in a bottle or can of alcohol.
*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*
"Get the door woman!" He shouts at her as he did not want to get up unless it was for more beer.
"I'm busy!"
"So am I!"
"Bullshit Tony!"
*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*
"Goddamn it woman!" He gruffly spat as he forces himself out of his chair.
*Probably that no good son of ours, coming in late again after I order him not to. He's got another meeting with my belt that's for sure* He furiously thought as he reaches the door and yanks it open to see not his son but a rather beautiful woman in turn of the century clothing and holding a doll of all things.
"Hello dearest, would you kindly let a poor woman in need inside?" Drussilla politely asks while keeping her eyes on Tony.
Tony wanted to tell her off but for the life of him he couldn't look away from her mesmerizing eyes, they were just so interesting.
"Please let me in dearest, I have a very important message to deliver to the naughty kitten." Once more her eyes drew him in as well as her voice.
"Yeah…sure…come inside." He droned as he steps aside to seal their doom as the vampire steps in with a cruel smirk on her face.
"Tony who is it? Is it Alexander?" Jessica asks as she steps into the room only to spot her there.
"Who the hell are you?" She asks with some worry as she does not like the look of the woman who gazed back at her as if she was a steak dinner.
"No one you need to worry about lovely, in fact you won't have anymore troubles after tonight." Drussilla finishes as her face changes and the fangs come out.
The neighbors nearby having gotten use to screams coming from the broken home would be of no help this night, in fact they would not realize a murder had taken place until they hear the cries of horror from one Xander Harris as he arrives only to find blood everywhere and his parents corpses nailed to a wall with railroad spikes and a message inked in their blood and a small doll at the base of it that read:
"NAUGHTY CHILDREN GET PUNISHED KITTEN!"

A/N: Well…I pulled an Ant-man and Wasp at the end there only darker, if you don't get the reference go watch the movie and see the first end credits scene and you will understand.
Anyway I always planned to go down this route because I want them out of Sunnydale where they aren't really needed and also to unite them as not just a team but a family.
Xander was the first to face "backlash" from a certain fallen power but won't be the last.
I know some will not approve but this is happening because I am not aiming for West Coast Avengers ok? I made that clear in previous chapters so you can't say you weren't warned.
In regards to the battle the way I thought about it was that the villains while dangerous never knew what to expect because out of nowhere this team of unknowns pops up when they weren't expecting it and have abilities they don't know of and as soon as a villain falls the heroes pop in to support another so yeah they were taking down in a way I felt made sense.
Doesn't mean it will always be that way since the Light will not take this well and also in part they may want Willow's armor, Xander's shield or blood, Oz's suit or Cordelia's irradiated blood I mean at least it feels like they would if they went so far as cloning Superman.
But anyway I hoped you enjoyed it and the next chapters show where they get hit hard before they decide they are New York bound. PEACE OUT!
