*~Chapter Fourteen~*
Sam spent the next two months searching for Olivia Locke. The first person she questioned was Dr. Kevin Collins. At first, Kevin tried to deny that he had a daughter named Olivia. During the course of their conversation, Sam realized that Kevin was only trying to protect the daughter he loved.
"I'm trying to keep my daughter from Caleb," Kevin admitted. "On the day of their wedding, he told Olivia that Alison was carrying his child. Olivia was devastated. She left Caleb, and she's better off. Besides, the minute I mention the word 'vampire,' my wife Lucy goes into hysterics."
"Kevin, it's very important that you tell me where she is and let me talk to her. I have spoken to Caleb, and I assure you, he does love your daughter very much. He misses her and he wants to make things right with her. It's her choice whether or not she wants to forgive him. I won't tell Caleb her location. I am just going to talk to her; that is all."
"How do you know the vampire won't follow you?" Kevin asked.
"I have his word," Sam stated. "He's not going to contact Olivia until she agrees to see him."
"I hope I am not making a big mistake," Kevin said as he jotted down an address on a piece of paper. "But I believe you are sincere, and you have my daughter's best interests at heart."
"I know you don't like Caleb, and you think he isn't good enough for your daughter, but the truth is, Dr. Collins, we can't stop the course of true love."
Kevin stood behind the desk in his office, staring at Sam. "The truth is, Olivia has been lost without him. I don't know what she sees in him, but she must love him very much."
"And he loves her. Trust me, Dr. Collins. Caleb's ready to do whatever it takes to make Olivia happy. He's not going to screw up his opportunity to be with her again."
"I hope you are right."

Sam persuaded Caleb to wait in a nearby hotel before she went to Olivia's New York apartment. Baby Arabella had remained in Port Charles with her Grandma Alexis and her Aunt Molly. "Tell her I'm sorry, and I can't live without her," Caleb implored as Sam was leaving.
"I'll tell her everything," Sam promised. "Just stay here and wait for my call."
"Alright," Caleb said reluctantly.
Several minutes later, Sam arrived at Olivia Locke's apartment. After knocking at the door, Sam waited. Moments later, a woman answered who looked identical to her. Olivia stared at Sam in confusion. "Who are you?" she demanded. "And why do you look just like me?"
"My name is Sam McCall and I am a private investigator from Port Charles, New York. I was wondering if I could come in for a few minutes and talk to you. I was given your address by your father, Dr. Kevin Collins," Sam explained.
"Why would my father give you my address? My location is supposed to be a secret," Olivia said suspiciously.
"I understand, and I'll explain everything, just let me come inside so we have a chance to talk."
"Come in," Olivia said as she stepped aside so Sam could enter.
Olivia lead Sam inside to a comfortable living room. The two identical women took seats across from each other as they took in the similar features of one another. *She could be my identical twin!* Sam was thinking. *No wonder Caleb was confused!*
"What are you doing here?" Olivia suddenly asked. "Did my father send you?"
"It was your father who gave me your address," Sam stated. "But actually, I came on behalf of Caleb -."
"I don't want to see him or talk to him! He betrayed me!" Olivia cried out.
"I know he hurt you, but he's sorry for what happened-."
"He's not sorry! He wanted to hurt me. On the day we were wed, he couldn't wait to wound me. He told me that Alison was carrying his child. I wanted his child!"
"I know, Olivia, and I understand..."
"I never want to see him again!" Olivia exclaimed.
During the course of their conversation and Olivia's outburst, Sam heard muffled crying from another room. It sounded like a small child had been awakened from a nap.
"Excuse me," Olivia said as she stood up and rushed from the room.
Minutes later, she returned carrying a dark-haired baby boy with bright blue eyes - Caleb's eyes. "Wait a minute," Sam said as she saw Olivia cuddling the infant boy. "Is this your son?"
"Yes, his name is Alexander."
"How old is he?"
"He's almost three months. Why?"
"My baby daughter, Arabella, is the same age as your son. Tell me, Olivia, were there mysterious circumstances surrounding your pregnancy?"
"Yes. Yes, there were. What are you getting at?"
"I have a theory. Tell me more."
"I was baffled by my pregnancy. I hadn't been with anyone - not since I left Caleb. I don't know how my pregnancy was even possible," said Olivia. "Do you think Caleb has something to do with it?"
"I think he has everything to do with it. You see, I have birth to the daughter who is the same age as your son. Your baby looks a great deal like my Arabella," Sam explained. "When I met Caleb, he had mistaken me for you. He thought the child I carried was his, because he had made a wish on his ring that YOU would carry his son."
Olivia stared down at her baby in shock. "He's Caleb's!" she gasped. "My son has special powers. He's been able to move objects since he was just a few days old. I thought I was just imagining it. I told myself there was no way possible he could be Caleb's; that it just couldn't be possible!"
"It looks as though the wish he made on his ring actually worked. Caleb has a son! He's going to be absolutely ecstatic."
"You can't tell him. Please. He'll take Alexander away from me."
"No, he won't, Olivia. He loves you. Truly loves you. Caleb can't live without you."
"He's sorry for everything he did," Sam added. "Please, just give him a chance."
"Why are you helping him?" Olivia asked.
"Because I believe him to be sincere," Sam stated. "And if I help him, he's promised to reunite me with the man I love."
"Alright. I'll meet with him," Olivia agreed with a heavy sigh. "Caleb should meet his son."

Less than an hour later, Sam had reunited Caleb with Olivia. She waited in the hallway outside Olivia's apartment as Caleb and Olivia got reacquainted. Little Alexander met his father for the first time.
It had seemed like a short eternity had passed when the door finally opened and someone stepped out into the hall. "How did it go?" Sam asked.
"It's me, Sam. It's John," he stated as he went into her embrace.
Sam hugged him tightly in relief. "Is it really you?" she asked.
"In the flesh."
"What happened in there?" Sam asked as she pulled away slightly to look at him.
"I'm not really sure," he answered. "I was hoping you could tell me."
"It's a long story. Basically, Caleb took over your body. He wanted me and Arabella for himself... but after a DNA test, he discovered that Arabella isn't his daughter. He was devastated, but he came to accept it. He asked me to find Olivia. She's the woman he loves."
"What about us?"
"John, I love you. And I have wonderful news for you. Arabella IS your biological daughter."
"I can't believe it. How can that be possible?"
"I don't know, John, but it's true... and I want us to be a family. I hope that's what you want, too."
"I love you, Sam," John said as he crushed her against his chest. "With you is where I belong. With you... AND our precious daughter."

Meanwhile, Olivia and Caleb were cuddling their precious son. "We finally have the child we've always wanted," Olivia said to Caleb. "I'm so happy now, because I have him... AND I have you. All my wishes have come true."
"All of mine, too," Caleb stated. "Thank you for giving me another chance."
No further words were spoken. Caleb pulled Olivia to him in a passionate kiss.
