Tree: Isn't he always an idiot though?

Chapter 14
Naru
I thought about what he would say to all this, after he'd stopped pissing himself laughing of course. He'd call me an idiot scientist to start out with but after that...
Maybe he'd tell me I was the one being selfish. That seeing for 3 days a week is better than having no sight at all and that it would probably make Mai and I closer while we were on the subject of the two of us. Then he'd probably demand we make him an uncle just to top things off on a light note.
I sighed. I'll do it. But just for Mai's sight and that's it. I really wish I wasn't getting married yet...this really isn't the way I pictured getting married to the woman I loved.
I at least imagined her being able to see me when she walked down the aisle.
It's not that I don't love Mai, I do, but this all feels so rushed and like I have no choice.
"Well baby brother you kinda don't have a choice anymore." A voice echoed through my room.
I looked around but couldn't locate the source of the voice.
"She is crying in my room thinking: 'Even if it is rushed I would've loved to marry him." and how it's her fault that this is happening. Go to her bro she needs you right now. She feels scared and alone."
I looked around again but still found nothing. I let out a sigh and got up to do as the voice was telling me. Mai needed me and right now that's what matters.
I walk out of my bedroom and to the one next door knocking on it. "Mai? Open up."
I heard a slight shuffle and a bump from behind the door followed by a string of muttered curse words.
I stifle a laugh as she opens the door. "You are the idiot who locked the door." I hug her to me and walk her back into Gene's room. "I love you Mai. I'll do this all just for you and only you just because I love you so much."
"You...you will?" She asks but she is unfortunately facing a wall and running her hands over it as though she believes it to be my chest as I had let go of her after I'd walked her back into the room. "Thank you Naru!" She then hugs the wall.
I laugh.
"Uh Mai? I am over here?" I grab her turning her to face me and I hug her.
I noticed she was red with embarrassment.
I kiss her. "Mai when this is all fixed. I'll give you a proper wedding."
"Really? You promise?" She asked hopefully.
"Yes Mai. I promise." I answer her wholeheartedly.
She grins widely and I hug her again.
"Should we call John to do this?" She asked hiding her face in my chest.
"I'm not sure, I didn't really ask about the specifics of this." I reply.
"Lin said we needed a priest for it. And John is a priest."
"That's true. Well I guess it couldn't hurt to ask him."
"Do you have my mobile?"
"I think it's in the other room." I answer.
"Can you grab it? And after we are done with calling John I have another question to ask you."
"Okay..." I said unsure before getting up and going to get Mai's phone.
Grabbing it I walk back to Gene's room. "Okay Mai I have it." I flip it open and I blush. Why does she have a picture of me buck naked as her wallpaper?!
"Uh Mai...why is you're wallpaper of me naked?"
"What? It shouldn't be. I haven't even taken a picture of you naked...is it any good?"
"I am not going to answer that Mai." I say with venom dripping in my voice. "Let's just call John." I go through her contacts and I growl. How the hell did she get naked pictures of our male co-workers! I repress my anger for now and I just call John.
She let out a sigh then proceeded to look like she was thinking deeply about something.
"Hey Mai, what's wrong? Did something happen with Shibuya-san again?" He answered.
"John." I say abruptly into the phone.
"Oh Shibuya-san!" John laughs nervously. "What's wrong?"
"We were wondering if if you would marry us in a special ceremony." I told him.
John was quiet on the other end. "Alright. But where are you guys?"
"London."
"I'll hop on the next plane there." John sighs. "Oh and Shibuya-san?"
"What is it John?" I asked.
"I will need your real name for this." He said. "And you need to be more better to Mai." He hangs up after that statement.
I let out a sigh as the nude image on the screen sears itself into my brain again.
"Mai what was that question you wanted to know?" I ask looking through her pictures and I delete the naked ones of our male co-workers.
"Oh. Was this Gene's room?" She asked.
"Yes, why?" I still wondered when and how she could have taken all of these nude photos and the bigger question, why she would have?
"I feel like I've been here...when I was smaller...before my parents died but I don't remember."
I frowned at that. Surely if that were true I too would have remembered.
"I think we need to ask your mom or dad..." She starts walking to the door before she trips over her own two feet and she falls. "Ouch, that hurt." She grumbled.
I got up and laugh a bit picking her up. "We need to buy you a cane for the blind." I kiss the scrape on her forehead.
"It would be an idea as you too will be blind soon." She mused.
"I know Mai. We'll make my dad buy one. Or actually I think he has one in his study..." I muse to myself. "Stay here don't move." I place her on the bed and I leave to go to my father's study returning only after I find what I am looking for. "I knew he had one." I smirk.
I unfold it before placing it in her hand.
Mai stands up and moves around with it tapping it against the floor. She stops when the can hit the dresser."Thanks for this Naru." she turns around and uses the cane to walk over to me stopping when it hits the side of my shoe.
She then reaches out to touch me. I smirk and move out of her way just to make fun of her and her blindness.
She tries again and I do the same thing. This happens another three times before she whacks me in the shin with the cane.
"Stay still." She barks.
I hiss in a bit of pain but I stay still this time. She again reaches out to touch me. I let her this time closing my eyes so she doesn't poke them out.
They soon fly back open though when she grasps my manhood instead.
"M-Mai? What are you doing?!" I go to move away.
"What?" She questions innocently.
"You do realize where you are gripping right?" I bite back a groan.
"Your wrist?"
"Uh, no you are gripping my manhood." I feel myself harden under her hand. "Please let go. Please." I let out a low groan.
She at least had the decency to blush as she did release me from her grip.
I let out a half groan, half growl. "God woman...the things you make me feel..." Although I had a feeling she did this on purpose.
I took a few deep breaths to try and settle myself again.
"Naru after we get married... would you make love to me again?" She walks over to the bed and sits down on it.
"Mai, I would make love to you all day every day if I could." I reply.
She blushes at that. "My god. I would love that Naru." She smiles wide.
"Noll?" My mom walks into the room. "What's this I hear about making love all day every day?" She smirks. Now it was my turn to blush.
"I won't tell your father." She laughs. "But someone is here for both of you."
"Really? Who?" I asked.
"I don't know."
"Naru, it might be Ayako!" Mai smiles.
"Good point." I say and gesture for my mother to lead the way to our guest.
Before walking down the stairs I pick up Mai and fling her over my shoulder as she starts giggling.
"Noll, stop treating Mai like a sack of potatoes." Mother chastises me as we begin to descend the stairs.
"It's so Mai doesn't trip and fall." I smirk and yelp as the cane his my bum. "Mai!" I hiss. Oh that cane is going to make a great punishment tool every time I fuck her.
We eventually reach the bottom of the stairs and I put her down.
"The next time we are alone Mai I will put you over my knee and take that cane and I will whip you." I growl in her ear so only she can hear me. She shivered at what I was suggesting.
I smirk and take her hand. "Ms. Matsuzaki. And Father Brown?"
"I was in Portugal when you called me." He rubs the back of his head.
"I see." I reply.
"Why exactly is he here?" Miss Matsuzaki asked.
"It's none of your concern. Come Father Brown let's speak in private." I grab Mai's hand and walk into my father's study with her and Father Brown.
I gesture for him to take a seat.
He sits down in a chair adjacent from the desk. "So mate, besides the marriage part, what is this special ceremony you need me for?"
"Well it's a...um...it's...it's..." I struggled to find the words as I didn't know what the hell I was talking about.
Mai explains everything to him about her being blind about what Lin found out about the curse and how we needed to marry and mix our blood and about how only one of us will be able to see every few days.
John looked deep in thought as he absorbed this. After a moment he spoke.
"You're sure you both want to do this? Kazuya...I mean Oliver, you're sure?" I nodded solemnly. "Mai, you're sure?" She too nodded. "Alright then, I guess some preparations need to be made."
"Thank you John." Mai smiles and uses the cane to leave the room. John gets up to follow but I stop him.
"Father Brown I need to ask you about a certain picture I found on Mai's phone."
He looked perplexed but took his seat again.
I show him the picture of him naked. "Why is this on Mai's phone?"
His eyes widen, he blushes and looks away.
"Mate, I don't know but I can safely say that Mai didn't take it and apart from the head that isn't me. That guy is more well blessed than I am." He stated.
So is this one of Madoka's tricks then? I growl. "Go just go get things set up and whatever you do DON'T tell my mother or Ayako what you are doing."
He nodded, looking scared and worried. He then exited the office as fast as possible.
I sighed putting my face in my hands. "Why me...?"
"Baby bro? Seriously? Madoka is jealous and mad at Mai." I look around and I notice Gene's image in the mirror in my father's study.
"Gene?" I ask in disbelief.
"Duh! You Idiot Scientist!" He smiles at me.
I let out a sigh a look away from him.
"I don't have long Noll. Mai can't go to this case at Warwick. She will be in even more danger now that she is blind and so will you now that you will be the same as her." He tells me in a more serious tone.
"We can't not go." I pointed out. "I am the boss to start with and she would never stand for it if she were left out."
Gene sighed. "After John marries you both what do you think Mai is going to want to do with you? She will end up pregnant Noll. Do you want a child in danger?"
"Of course I don't. There are methods to prevent that from happening though."
"I know that but none of them work I checked. No matter what method you use Mai still get's pregnant."
"Whoa, whoa, wait. You're telling me the future?!" I asked incredulously.
Gene sighs. "They said only that Mai getting pregnant was okay."
"However we need to work meaning we have to go on this case. Who the heck are They anyway and why aren't you telling this to Mai?"
"If I told Mai she would back out of this until the case is done and never want to have sex with you ever because of all the dangerous cases you go on." Gene glared. "As for They I can't tell you. I have to go now. If when you go on that case after you and Mai are done you mustn't let her leave your sight. Got it?"
"Naru?" Ayako walks in. "John is looking for you now." you mustn't let her leave your sight. Got it?"
"I'm not stupid enough to leave her alone. Of course I would get someone to help watch her alongside me, who that will be yet though I don't know."
"Lin is the one I saw helping you watch her Noll." He fades leaving nothing but my own reflection.
"Him. Of all the people why would it have to be him?" I growl to myself.
"Naru?" Ayako walks in. "John is looking for you now."
I let out a sigh and nod before getting up to follow her.
John is waiting by the door with Mai. "Everything is ready. All we need to do is just get there and do what we need to do." He smiled innocently.
Mai had a slightly worried look and I didn't blame her, I felt the same but I gathered myself and laid a reassuring hand on her shoulder. We were going to do this, we had to do this, and I was sure we would grow stronger from it.
I took her hand and led her out the door with John towing behind us. "Miss Matsuzaki meet us at Warwick Castle in a few hours understand?" I yell over my shoulder.
"Yes but Naru where are you three going?" She called after us. I ignored her.
I head towards my car. "John and I will sit up front ok Mai?" I open the back door and I help her in as John gets into the passenger side.
"Okay Naru." She said. I then got into the driver's seat.
After asking John where to go he told me there was a small church not far from here that he and the head priest were friends. "He owes me a favor so I told him about your situation and he agreed to do it no questions asked."
I started the car and began to drive to our destination with John giving me directions.
"There it is Davis-san." John pointed to a small church. I pull in and park in a handicap spot by the church doors. John starts getting out but I grab his arm.
"John please don't tell anyone else about my real name only you, Mai, Lin, and of course my parents know it. Okay?" I let him go and I start getting out of the car. Opening the back door I help Mai out and I wrap an arm around her waist.
I felt her shake a little as we headed inside.
"Mai? I know you are nervous but don't you want to be able to see again even if it's for a few days?" I gently rub circles into her side.
"Yeah, Naru, I guess I just don't know what to expect." She replied. She took a deep breath.
"Mai, it's okay to be unsure. I am too but it'll be fine, you'll see." I soothed.
I walk up to John with her. "John is everything all set up for this?"
He nodded.
"Yep, we just go straight in and start."
"Alright." I let out a weary sigh. "Let's do this Mai." I tell her following John in the place to get this done.
We are all soon stood in front of the altar.
John who changed into his priest robes, god knows when, began the ceremony. He handed me a ceremonial knife and I cut my hand then I cut Mai's putting our hands together.
"Do you Oliver Davis take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, and for richer or for poorer for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." I stated firmly.
"And do you Mai Taniyama take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, and for richer or for poorer for as long as you both shall live?"
"I...I do." She answered.
John then turns and presents us rings. Of course I put Mai's on her finger and I put mine on my own.
"Then by the power vested in me before the eyes of God, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
I move towards Mai to do just that. "Keep it clean though guys, this is a house of the Lord after all." He quickly added. I placed my lips gently upon Mai's in a soft kiss which she returned. As soon as we broke I felt sharp pain in both my eyes and I fell to my knees as I covered them with my hands.
"Davis-san!" John rushes to my side.
"Naru?" Mai leans down and feels around for me finding my shoulder.
I slowly take my hands away from my eyes.
"I can't...I can't see...I...I'm blind..." I tell them, nothing but darkness filling my vision.
