I kinda realise that I get less reviews if I post them during the day, but don't blame me, blame the internet of DOOM!

Chapter 14

Whatever this guy was, he had some nerve crashing into the room and interrupting Suki. She sighed in annoyance, but didn't move from her spot. Normally she would intervene, but she was curious to see who had the balls to threaten Ichigo. Even though Suki was completely confident that she could beat Ichigo in a fist fight, she knew that the orange haired moron had quite an infamous reputation.

"Yo," Ganju growled towards Ichigo as he stormed up to the strawberry to get into his face, "You should say something – I asked you a damn question." He began to pat Ichigo's cheek, "What is a punk ass shinigami like yourself," He tightened his hold and if possible, pushed his pug like face closer to him, "Doing in a place like this-?!"

Ichigo had raised a fist and slammed into Ganju's face before he could say anything and sent him flying towards the other side of the room. About time Ichigo did something.

"Why the heck did you punch me, dandelion head?!" The man shot up and nursed onto his bruised face, appearing as if he had his feelings hurt. Suki scoffed and looked the other way – what an idiot – the whole lot of them, maybe they didn't learn in Soul Society that it was considered annoying to have their face pressed onto someone else's. "Are you trying to pick a fight with me?!"

Apparently, Ichigo wasn't too happy with having his face slapped, "That my line you pig-riding barbarian – you suddenly barged in here like you own the bloody place! Just who the hell do you think you are?!"

"Oh no," Orihime panicked waving her arms around wildly as Suki watched the screaming match between the moronic males that they were standing with, "They're going to fight, we should stop them Kobayashi-san!"

"Just a little fight Inoue," Suki responded with a scowl, "There's nothing wrong with a few punches and kicks." How come everyone that she encountered on the dumb journey was fighting Ichigo anyways? Weren't they all ryoka for a reason?

Meanwhile, Uryu was having a conversation with the elder of the house, "What do you mean 'just as you thought'?" He pointed a finger towards Ganju, "Who is that Elder-dono?!"

Ganju stopped his argument and look towards the crew with a deep frown, "You guys really don't know who I am? You guys are truly ignorant bastards – fine I'll let you know." He posed oddly in front of them with a sneer, "My name is Ganju, self-declared Rukongai's crimson bullet, self-declared joshi of the west gate for fourteen years! Also-!" His eyes narrowed darkly and pointed a finger towards Ichigo who scowled in annoyance, "Self-declared one that hates shinigami the most of Rukongai!"

The group behind Suki gawped in disbelief, "They're all self-declared?!"

"Seriously?" Suki wondered dryly, looking towards the unusual man, "He looks like a pussy." Instantly, Ganju had shoulder barged Ichigo out of the house and into the streets where they began their brawl. She watched from the inside with a raised eyebrow as Orihime and Uryu had rushed out of the building in order to assist Ichigo.

"Don't interfere while our joshi is teaching a lesson." A voice from the outside declared, which made Suki slowly walk in the direction.

"If you guys want to intervene, then you have to go through us first!" Another announced proudly.

"So you guys are underlings of that Ganju guy," Uryu hissed just as Suki arrived behind them to look at the so-called underlings. There were four mean in total; all of them gave overconfident expressions as they sat on their own boars.

Weirdos.

"So did you guys want to defend that Ganju-prick? That rude bastard interrupted one of my questions – he doesn't deserve to get a beating from Kurosaki but from me. But if you guys are willing to take his place then I don't mind," Suki announced her presence which made the group look down to her with surprise. A smirk crossed over her face as she brought up her fists and cracked her knuckles, "These two may be afraid of hurting people – but I'm not!"

"Let's get her then," The man with dark hair over his right eye decided as he hopped off his boar, "We'll teach her not to mess with us! Are you ready Top, Fever, Danberu?"

"Yes Hawk!" The trio joined the emo looking man and brought their fists out as they prepared the fight.

"Are you crazy Kobayashi-san?!" Uryu snapped, giving a stern glare towards the silver haired female, "It's four against one if you fight them!"

"Yeah," Orihime agreed with a concerned frown, "What happens if you get hurt?"

"I'll be fine," Suki replied darkly, "Just stay out of the way while I beat the crap out of them."

"You overconfident bitch!"Fever, the man with the afro hissed, "You won't win!" They all charged recklessly towards Suki who still had a dark smirk over her face. Maybe she wouldn't need her bat for this fight.

First Danberu came around, he was a stocky bald guy that looked like he could be a challenge, aiming a strike towards Suki's head. She moved out of the way of the punch and slammed her own fist into his gut, making him bend over with a cough. He growled in protest, pushing himself back up so that he could swipe a bulky arm towards her. Suki moved out of the way, tilting her head in recognition as the man attempted to charge again. This guy reminded her of Chad for some odd reason.

As soon as he attempted another high strike, Suki leaned back and kicked out her leg. Her boot collided with his chin, sending the giant man sailing through the air. A gasp of astonishment came from the observers as Suki pushed herself onto her feet again.

"Seriously, is that all?"

"Oi, Ichigo and Suki!" Yoruichi yelled, barely gaining the attention from the silver haired female, "Neither of you should be wasting your energy on a pointless fight!"

"But he's the one who started it!" Ichigo retorted darkly, glowering back at his own opponent, "So you tell him that!"

"Don't worry Yoruichi-san," Suki commented dryly as she spared a glance towards the cat, "This is barely gonna cost us any energy."

"Kobayashi-san!" Uryu called out, making Suki pull back and elbow the figure that had charged behind her. She planted her elbow in Hawk's face and stretched out her other fist to connect with his face. With a pained grunt, Hawk collapsed towards the ground in defeat.

A sharp gasp from behind made Suki turned to face the afro man, "Hawk!" He glowered towards Suki's direction and charged with a loud war cry, "How dare you oppose us-!" Before he could make a hit, Suki decked him in the face and allowed him to fall down with a groan.

"Told you guys," Suki clapped her hands together and faced the duo with a prideful smirk, "People back at home were a lot tougher than this!"

"Wait Kobayashi-san!" Orihime called out in warning, making Suki blink towards the walnut haired girl curiously, "You forgot some-!"

Too late.

A painful blow slammed her on the back of her skull, making Suki stagger in her step. She let out a yelp, reaching up for the back of her head with a groan. It felt like someone had thrown a decent sized rock at the back of her head.

And it hurt like hell!

She glared threateningly towards the person who had attacked, and saw that the only man standing, Top, was nursing his left fist. Suki smirked darkly, reaching up for her bat – she may not waste her energy using her power, but it didn't mean that she wasn't going to have fun with the bastard. Top looked mildly startled at the sight of the bat, but he managed to steel himself. As he charged towards Suki, she raised the bat into the air and prepared to strike him, she saw a flash of movement in the corner of her eye.

"You're quite tough for someone who got a kick to the face," Suki sneered confidentially as she turned to see the figure charging towards her, "But I'll knock you down again!"

Danberu sent a punch towards Suki who dodged barely and defensively swung her bat to attack. Before the bat could made contact with the flesh, a loud ringing sound halted everyone's movements. Suki's eyes narrowed and followed the sound, seeing that it was coming from Hawk's giant clock strapped to his back.

Weirdo.

Hawk stood up as if he had been uninjured and looked towards Ganju desperately, "Bad news Joshi!" He had a bloodied nose from the elbow, but other than that he appeared rather stable. Ganju turned to face the man, his face beaten and bloodied from his dispute from Ichigo, "It's not good at all! It's already nine o'clock!"

"What?! It's nine o'clock!" Ganju was having his own little freak out before he raised his hands to his face and let out a loud whistle, "Come over here Bonnie-chan!"

The giant boar from earlier leaped over Ichigo and allowed Ganju to hoist himself on it. Both Ichigo and Suki had blank faces as their opponents hopped on their boars and raced off.

"Cowards!" Suki yelled furiously raising a fist in the air towards the men, "If any of you come back here, I'll have your pigs for breakfast!"

"Oi, don't go!" Ichigo seethed from his spot, "Are you running away?"

Ganju turned towards them as the pig retreated from the distance, "Did I say that I was running away from you, Dandelion-head? I just have to go somewhere for now, just wait here until I come back!" They disappeared in a cloud of dust, leaving Ichigo seething and Suki scoffing in annoyance.

"Wimps," Suki uttered in irritation as she folded her arms, "I told you guys that I could handle them-" She stopped talking when she noticed Uryu had already reached up to grab Ichigo's shoulder. Of course they would go see if Ichigo was okay – he was their friend after all and Suki was just... Suki.

"They're all gone." It seemed like someone was taking the fight seriously. Ichigo was in frozen motion, his finger was pointed at nothing in particular, and Suki could see the countless veins that were throbbing on his face.

"Take it easy Kurosaki," Uryu commented calmly, but Suki could clearly see that the Quincy was too flabbergasted to say any more.

"I'm gonna kill that bastard!" Ichigo swore furiously, picking up his giant zanpakuto and glaring at the sky, "What the hell was that guy doing?" He had grumbled in annoyance as he retreated back into the house with most of the group follow. Suki on the other hand stayed outside and watched the night sky with a grave stare.

Her first night in Soul Society and it was already giving her hell – so much had happened just on the first day. The worst part was that they weren't even in the city yet! Were they ever going to get a chance to sleep once they're in there? However that was? A tired sigh escaped her lips, and Suki finally put her bat back in its case.

She'll figure it out tomorrow; right now she was too tired to even think straight. Suki snuck into the house, noticing that most of the group were fast asleep. The only one who hadn't fallen asleep was Yoruichi, who perked his head up and flicked his tail.

"What's on your mind Suki?" He asked, noticing that Suki had a thoughtful look in her eyes.

"Nothing much," She answered quietly, looking towards the group as she took a seat in her futon for the night, "I would rather get this whole rescue over and done with."

"Unfortunately, this rescue is going to take a while," Yoruichi explained briefly, just as Suki sighed. Of course it was, "But let me ask you something – why did you come here, if not to save Rukia?" The question made her pause in consideration. Didn't Suki already say that she came to protect Orihime? So that Orihime could return to Karakura Town with her bubbly smile? By the time Suki got a hold of her thoughts again, she looked towards Yoruichi but he had his golden eyes shut and had fallen back to sleep.

Suki chuckled before she let out another yawn, "Stupid cat," It took her a few minutes of listening to the snores of the crew to get her to the blissful sleep that she needed.

...

Nine ,ten-

Before she knew it, Uryu had let out a distressed shriek, "What?! What do you meaning you're not coming?!"

Cue the distraction to make Suki lose her focus on her one armed push up to make her fall to the ground. She let out a surprised grunt as her face connected with the dirt road of Rukongai, being witnessed by a bunch of astounded children. It was early in the morning and the plan for the mighty crew was to head to Shiba Kukaku's house. Since everyone was preparing, Suki had given herself a quick warm up alone – but that all changed when the group of children watched her with amazement, followed by Orihime and Chad.

Seriously, what was with kids hanging out with her?

"Son of a bitch," Suki hissed, pushing herself up to her feet to look towards Orihime's cheerful face. Her eyebrow perked out of curiosity, "What is with that expression?

"Nothing much," Orihime replied as she attempted to hide giggles, which Suki frowned at, "You just have a bit of dirt on your face."

Suki rubbed her face (which possibly smudged in the dirt) and gave a glare towards the direction of the house, "Do you wanna see what's taking them so long? Kuchiki isn't going to save herself." Orihime smiled again, before she skipped over towards the house. At the feeling of being watched, Suki's eyebrow twitched when she turned her head and saw that the children still had not left.

Damn kids.

Another shriek came from the house, interrupting Suki from her scolding the children for watching her, however this time the shriek sounded like it came from a certain carrot top. Ignoring the kids watching her, Suki went back to the house with a scowl on her face.

Her amber eyes darkened in annoyance, "What the heck is taking so... oh..." She felt a hint of pity as she witnessed the scene before her.

Ichigo was on the ground with a small bloody puddle forming, while Yoruichi had his talons of death out. Now if Suki remotely cared for Ichigo – she would've at least wondered if he was alright but hey, it was Suki and she didn't necessarily care for Ichigo's wellbeing.

"We're here to save Rukia, you shouldn't have forgotten that!" Yoruichi hissed, almost snarling as Ichigo nursed onto his wounds, "Now isn't the time for you to be picking meaningless fights, if you understand – hurry up and let's get going."

It seemed like someone was Cranky Tail-san this morning.

She turned away as Yoruichi slammed his head against Ichigo's skull to take in the view of Rukongai. It had looked like it had back at Karakura Town, with everyone going about their business and kids (which have dispersed when Suki turned her back) went to play or whatever kids did.

The morning doesn't look too bad, The silver haired female thought to herself with a slow nod. They were going to stroll around in Rukongai, just so that they could find another way to break into the Seireitei. It was a perfect day for planning devious acts.

As the group left, Suki strolled behind the group and allowed them to walk ahead of her. Her hands were in her pockets as she glared at the ground that she stood on. It was nothing personal; however Suki still felt slightly uncomfortable with the whole idea of hanging out with the crew all together. In other words – she was being anti-social.

She perked a brow when she heard Orihime speak up, "Since that Kukaku guy is the only one who knows how to enter Seireitei without going through the gates, why not live in the village to get praised?" That had actually been something that Suki had been considering as they walked past. Whoever this Shiba Kukaku was, they would definitely become famous. Most people nowadays were into fame anyways.

"It's a good point," Uryu replied with a frown, which reminded Suki – when did he get so talkative? Was he acting like a jerk back at school because no one was his friend or something? It made a bit of sense since he has been acting... out of character. Maybe that shinigami who stabbed him had some magical power to make him... nice to people.

"It's not really," Yoruichi spoke up as he trailed on ahead, looking for any signs of the Kukaku person, "With Kukaku's personality – it would be better off with this kind of place. It's much quieter with few people."

Suki could definitely agree, "True that this place is empty – how would you know where this house is?"The entire place looks the same, as if they were in a desert.

"Don't worry," The cat continued, "Even though the house moves a lot, it always remains the same – I can tell with just one glance." He chuckled to himself and looked up, "Actually... there it is now, I can see it."

When Suki looked up – she didn't expect to feel so dishonoured.

"See, you can tell from one glance, Right?"

"I hate you Yoruichi-san. You're really killing my reputation with these kinds of things," Suki stated bluntly, looking towards the house with utter disgust. The house looked fine; it was that there were two arms on both sides of the house, holding up a banner that said 'Shiba Kukaku'. She couldn't even shudder when she saw the oversized chimney for the damn house, "What the hell have I gotten myself into?"

This guy better be the way into Seireitei otherwise Suki might just lose her head.

"Oh," Yoruichi looked like he was enjoying the view. "So this time, it's the human hands that are holding the banner – not bad," What the hell was wrong with that cat was the better question.

"The theme is different each time-?" Like creepy identical twins, Uryu and Ichigo cringed away from the sight and looked like they would rather burn in the deepest pits of hell than go any closer to the building. Suki on the other hand, was standing perfectly still with repulsion growing in her features. Why? Why did it always have to be her that dealt with the crap?

"Hurry up!" Yoruichi barked, which made Suki flinch at the sudden action and shuffle towards the building – still keeping her distance from the group. She eyed the giant chimney, narrowing her eyes in suspicion. Who used chimneys nowadays? Her brow furrowed when she saw that the chimney was sealed off – almost as if it was to prevent something from escaping – okay, this place was really weird, Suki already established that.

"Hold on!" A booming voice cried out, and two figures appeared before them. They were giant – not as giant as Jidanbo but still pretty bulky, more like Tessai, "Who are you?"

The other gave a dark glare towards the crew, "Your clothing is rather strange and yet there is one that appears like a shinigami!"

Great, more Ichigo haters.

"Get out, or else you will all die here!"

"Kami why?" Suki asked the worlds above her, but the most response she got was the whispering breeze above her, "Well screw you too." She grasped onto her bat, noticing in the corner of her eye that Ichigo was mirroring her actions.

"Why is there always someone guarding something?" Ichigo growled as he held onto his hilt, "Soul Society is such a troublesome place."

The men fell silent for a moment, noticing a small figure below the rest of them until one of the men had a face of recognition, "Yoruichi-dono?!"

As the cat showed of a sheepish (and catlike) grin, Suki furrowed her brows and looked towards the strange duo. If these guys knew Yoruichi, it probably meant that the Kukaku guy did too. It also meant that the Kukaku guy was going to be a bastard full of surprises and if Suki hated anything more than clowns and puppets, it was being interrupted and surprises.

A/n: Okay I admit - this chapter... was kinda of a stretch. The main thing I was looking forward to was the first fight that Suki was going to get into. Normally I don't make the characters fight with Ichigo or Naruto or Natsu or whoever they're fighting with, but because I wanted to keep Suki in character I decided her to pick a fight with Ganju's minions :D

Please review
