How I Stopped Worrying & Learned to Love the Witch

I'm sure you've all realized that this story will not be continued. Why? Well... this story (for me) was supposed to be a way to get Rachel and Trent together when it seemed unlikely. So when this started to become reality in the main story (yay for cookie kisses!) it was further incentive for me to drop this story.

Another reason I stopped this story? A lot of stuff was going on in my life while I was writing this; mainly my dad had died suddenly from a heart attack during the writing of this story, and I was a daddy's girl. It put me in a depression I can honestly say that, five years later, I'm still not completely out of.

The last reason is that during this time... my computer... had issues. I had to do a hard restore and lost all my notes and plot lines which were extremely involved and honestly, difficult to impossible to duplicate.

So summarize the ending (because you all deserve that much) it was going to be Riley becoming a demon familiar to the lowest bidder, a very dark side of Al coming to the surface, and the (second?) death of Minias. Trent was going to do 90% of the work to get Rachel to her 10% where she ends up being forced to kill Al. This leaves the rest of the Demons in no hurry to go after Rachel and Trent, but open ended enough for a sequel.

Also, the girl was going to look like Trent, but act like Rachel, and the boy was going to look like Trent (I rolled a dice, be mad at them) and be super timid, but really smart.

His sister was going to get him in SO much trouble...

… There is a final reason I'm adding this.

In a few weeks/days, I'll be deleting this story. I feel like I've outgrown it, and the series has outgrown it. But this is also one of my highest rated stories ever (omg, thank you SO much!), so I felt I deserved to give you guys some closure and warning before it vanished.

Again, thank you for the amazing ride, but it's time a more talented writer than I (mainly, Kim Harrison) take over where I left off!
