River decided it would be safer if she made a couple of false trails in case the Silence tried to back-trace her signal. She appeared first in a field outside the biggest city on Raxicoricofallapatorius.

The Doctor had brought her here once for a picnic. She smiled fondly at the memory as she plugged in the next set of coordinates and appeared on an Island in the middle of the ocean. She glanced up for a moment and began laughing as she saw the tree house she and the doctor had built when they had been stranded here while the Tardis was recharging.

Next, she appeared on the beach where they had spent their honeymoon. She shut her eyes and took in a deep breath of the sweet air. Now, she thought, time to go home.

She set the coordinates and appeared in her parents' living room, making sure her face wouldn't give away what she was really there for if the Silence was watching. She had to make it seem like it was just a visit to see her parents.

"RIVER!" A mass of red hair and a squeal enveloped her when she appeared.

"Hello mum!" She said, laughing a bit.

"I'm so glad to see you! I've missed you so!"

"And I've missed you! Where's dad?"

"RORY! SHE'S HERE!" River heard someone taring through the house towards them. Then from around the corner came her dad.

"River!"

"Hello dad!" He came over and hugged her. "Right. Mum, how about a spoon and a bowl of custard." Her mother set off in the direction of the kitchen.

River was feeling a bit dizzy. Rory caught her and helped her to a seat on the couch. "Are you alright?" "Yes, I'm fine. Cheap time travel has it's disadvantages." She replied, indicating her vortex manipulator. "Is my old room still the same?" Rory nodded. After a deep breath to help steady herself, she stood and walked down the hall to the first door on the right. Rory followed.

River switched on the light. Everything was just how she remembered. The crib and mobile still in the corner, two white dressers, baby toys...Every bit of it untouched. It was Melody Pond's room, or it would have been before Madam Kovarian had...She stopped thinking and walked over to the crib.

She smiled and looked down, placing a hand on her stomach. Someday soon...

She realized Rory was still at the door, watching her. She quickly grabbed the small yellow bear and exited the room. "Right, let's go."

"River, is something bothering you?"

"No, I'm fine." They walked back to the living room and Amy soon joined them. "Right. Here's your custard. Here's your spoon." She set them on the coffee table and River sat down. She left the custard and spoon where they were and picked up the bear. Her parents sat on either side of her and waited to see what the bear was for.

They both jumped as River suddenly ripped the head off. She set it next to her custard and reached into the body, pulling out a shiny silver and black pen. She set it in her lap and picked up the head. Reaching in, she pulled out a small, red cube and a tube of lipstick.

The Doctor returned to the console moments after River left. His sonic was going crazy because there had been a teleportation inside the Tardis. He ran as fast as he could to where he had left River and immediately spotted the note on his scanner. Pulling it off, he read it.

River had gone. He was about to follow her anyway but then he read the end of the note. He sat down hard on the couch. He couldn't follow her. He had to rely completely on her this time. He couldn't put his family in danger, River was right.

Oh please be careful, River.
