AN: Chapter 13 is here, and I'm starting the new year off with a BANG! I don't really have any resolutions, as of yet, but knowing me, they'll be there soon! I hope everyone has a happy new year, and I hope everyone starts their new year off great!

Chapter 13: Fall of the Zenobia
We began slowly walking to the door, as we took notice of the toppled containers, and busted...everything...and as soon as I approached it, I heard fluids.
"Shit! Rachael, gi-" I started as the door was flung off its hinges, a torrent of water rushing into the room, it overcoming up, as Jill gasped loudly. I summoned my gills, as did Rachael, and I was able to breathe. As we exit the room, we heard Chris's voice over the earpieces.
"Vermillion! Parker, Jill, we're approaching the ship now! Just hang on!" Chris said and I nodded, as we approached a space, with some room to breathe. Jill and Parker went up, and gasped loudly, feeling fresh air enter their lungs. With a large inhale of air, they dived down, and we continued through and up the ladder. We went through to the other side, and had dropped down, and gone through the door, and continued on through. Once I noticed we were at the bilge, we hurried, the sounds of Sea Creepers behind us. We swam through, evading the bastards, and finally reached the elevator shaft. I unsheathed my machete, and as the creatures drew closer, had hacked away at them, their blood saturating the water. Parker and Jill had gotten out first, then Rachael, and I finished off the small amount of Sea Creepers, and had come out last. I had dropped the gills, as did Rachael and I let out a sigh of relief. Then Chris's voice had come from the earpieces again.
"Jill! Are you guys okay?" Chris asked as me and Parker high-fived, finally out of the water. At least we didn't have the little demon piranhas in there with us.
"Yes, we're fine!" Jill said with a giant smile on her face.
"We're on our way to the casino on the ship! You guys head there too!" Chris said as there was an affirmative from Jill.
"You heard the man, lets go!" I said as we hopped up the pipe, and we began running back, swimming through another pool of water, killing another Sea Creeper. We had gotten back to the staff poker room, and as I opened the door, Jill ran through, then the others. As we looked around, there was clapping from above. Up there, was a masked man, in Veltro attire.
"Friendly BSAA patrons, you stopped the Regia Solis. Now I will reveal everything I know, about the Queen Zenobia, and the secrets she keeps!" The Veltro soldier said, holding his arms out in a grand display. We all turned to each other. Secrets? Finally getting somewhere!
"Alrighty then. Tell us." I said, as he looked to me and chuckled.
"First...why did it take until now to find it? How was it able to float around undetected? Second, why did all traces of Veltro disappear after the Terragrigia Panic?" He said as Jill then cut him off.
"Found one of your soldiers though. Joseph Cantelli." Jill said as he shrugged.
"Third...why is someone using the Regia Solis to destroy the Zenobia? You were to have found it, and that-" The man started finishing, as he was then shot by a bullet, coming from the entrance of the casino. He fell forward, and we all turned to the entrance, seeing Jessica holding her gun up the barrel smoking, as Chris ran in, Alex not too far behind.
"Why did you fire!?" Chris growled out as Jessica turned to him.
"To protect our people! Isn't that our job!" Jessica said as Parker ran over to the Veltro soldier.
"You're not dying on me! Wha...Raymond...?" Parker said tearing off the mask, only to reveal the redhead.
"Raymond?" I said turning.
"Why...? Why play the part of Veltro...?" Parker asked, as Raymond began mouthing words.
"What?" Parker said leaning closer. He began whispering, where not even I could hear...then his eyes closed.
"What a terrible loss..." Parker said wiping away the tears in his eyes. He got up and turned only to see Jill and Chris kiss, him holding her close. I smiled, as did Rachael.
"I thought I lost you." Jill said quietly into his ear, as Chris shook his head, kissing her cheek.
"You'd never lose me." He said as they kissed again. Now it just makes me wonder...how long have they been dating? The ship then shook violently, sending Rachael into me, Jessica into Alex, who both blushed, and Jill into Chris. Parker was sent to the floor.
"We don't have much longer." I said as there was a nod from everyone.
"Chris is coming with me." Jill said putting her foot down, figuratively.
"I'll go with Jessica and Alex then." Parker said with a nod.
"This ship is just like the Semiramis. I should know where the lab is on this thing." Chris said as our team of four began walking back the way we came.
"Alrighty then. We'll head to the bridge and start putting down the bulwarks." Parker called out as I gave a thumbs-up. They then turned, and began their trip to the bridge.
(Team Parker: Alex's POV)
"You guys go on ahead, I've got some stuff to take care of." Jessica said as Parker and I nodded. We then began heading to the bridge. As we got up the stairs, and heading through to a narrow hallway, with a door straight ahead, a dresser to the right of us, and beautifully furnished. Then we heard a bang from infront of us, and there stood a creature, and I heard Parker curse. It had gray skin, two blades for arms, and a stomach that had teeth, vertically.
"Another of the Devourers..." Parker growled.
"I'll handle it. You go to the bridge!" I said as Parker turned to me. He then sighed handing me the grenade launcher, and two green-ringed grenades. The creature then screeched out something definitely unintelligible, as I fired the launcher, the grenade hitting it, sending it back as Parker rushed by. As the creature turned to where Parker had gone, I fired another round, it hitting the creature, and sending it flying, now glaring at me.
"Come on you son of a bitch!" I challenged, a determined look in my eyes.
(Parker)
I had rushed through the halls, my Government handgun in hand, as I opened the door to the first elevator to the bridge. I looked around the corner, and saw an Exploder, next to two Launchers. After firing a couple of shots into the Exploder, it blew up, bringing the two Launchers with it to Hell. I then ran on by, and tapped the button for the elevator. It then opened, and I ran in, and tapped the button for the bridge. It opened at the bottom, the hallway empty. I ran into the next room, then the captains room, and let out a quiet sigh.
"Hold it right there!" I said holding my Government at the ready.
"Parker...?" Jessica said in confusion.
"A spy has infiltrated the BSAA. Morgan's mole. And it might be you." I said.
"What are you talking about? I would-" Jessica said slowly inching her hand towards a large red button. Then a gunshot stopped her, it landing close to her.
"Parker! Subdue that woman." Raymond said suddenly, walking close to me.
"Raymond?! But how?" I asked as he pat his chest. Kevlar vest.
"She's trying to blow up the ship. Destroy the evidence." Raymond said.
"Parker...it's me...come on say something!" Jessica said turning around.
"...put the gun down Raymond." I said as I brought my Government to my side. I then reached for his gun, who held it back and held it out again, and turned to me.
"Don't be fooled!" Raymond said, as Jessica, then turned her gun around, and held it ready to fire. I jumped infront of Raymond when Jessica fired, the bullet hitting my leg. I buckled some, Raymond catching me. Jessica turned then hit the button. An alarm began beeping, and Jessica's face turned to one that meant business.
"...stupid men. I'll be sure to tell Morgan the traitor was you." Jessica said as she slowly walked to the door.
"Jessica!" Parker shouted. She kisses the gun slide, and opened the door going through it.
(Alex's POV)
I heard a gunshot, as I entered the locker room. I continued through towards the door, and it suddenly opened, and I came face-to-face with Jessica, who's face held surprise.
"Jess-" I started before I heard a gunshot, and a bullet go into my chest. Her eyes widened, as I began falling backwards.
"No!" Jessica cried out tears dripping. As I fell, she came over to my body, blood already spilling everywhere.
"No no no!" She cried tears dripping.
"It...it's okay..." I said quietly. She then kissed my lips softly, and bolted, a tear on my cheek.
"Alex!" Parker and Raymond shouted coming to me.
"Go...after her..." I said to Raymond who had a medical kit out, and grabbing the forceps in there, and ripping open my vest and tearing open my shirt.
"No. Not while you're dying." Raymond said as he began grabbing the bullet, as I screamed out in pain hitting one of the lockers. The bullet was then pulled out...but the bleeding continued, quite violently might I add. As Raymond began to fix up the wound I grabbed his wrist.
"Stop...it's not...going to do...anything..." I said my eyes fluttering between open and closed.
"Alex..." Parker said frowning.
"Tell the others...I'm in a better place...tell Vincent...to get his sister back...and to...take the world...by storm..." I said, a light growing increasingly bright. Then my eyes closed, the brightness overtaking me.
(Parker's POV)
"No! Alex! Wake up dammit! Don't die!" I shouted shaking him, in disbelief.
"...he's dead Parker...Jessica is going to pay!" Raymond shouted taking up his grenade launcher. I nodded as I stood, shakily, before dropping. Raymond turned to me and he began working on my wound.
(Team Chris: Vincent's POV)
We entered a bright hallway, the walls, and ceilings white. Ugh...hospital-like. We walked to a electronic door, which had a thumb-pad beside it.
"We should find a fingerprint register in that room up ahead." I said walking to the door, and tried to open it. I then sighed as I kicked it down.
"Still using Tyrant Strength?" Chris said with a raised eyebrow as I chuckled.
"You weren't complaining when I threw the giant spider into the wall." I said as he chuckled.
"Yeah...anything new? Ability-wise?" He asked as I nodded.
"Gills, new arms, armor...I think that's it." I said not recalling everything. I believe that was it (I think I got everything).
"Nice." Chris said as Jill kissed his cheek, then continuing into the room, as we heard a mechanical voice speak.
"Fingerprint registered." It said as Jill grinned.
"I'm registered." She said as we chuckled.
"Now we continue! Onward to adventure!" I said with a large grin. We went back to the door, and Jill firmly pressed her finger against the reader. The thing beeped, as the door whooshed open. We looked around finding some supplies such as rifle ammo, and handgun ammo...which funny enough we didn't really need. I looked ahead and saw decontamination showers.
"I'll go in first." I said with a shrug. There was a nod, as Jill occupied the second. The doors shut, and the rooms turned blue. As the decontamination shower started, it then quickly stopped, as there was a banging on my wall. I turned, and suddenly, there was a large slash in it. And a shark-knight charged through. A blade of some sort on the right, with a shield on the left. I raised an eyebrow as I had my arms turn into my giant fists, as I then hardened then, before slamming it into its head, sending the top half flying...and left on bottom was a squirming stinger, which crackled with electricity. I then uppercut it, it flying into the ceiling, the legs squirming pathetically.
The doors then opened, and Chris ran to Jill, and Rachael hugged me tight. She then let me go and kissed my cheek. I smiled as I moved over to the head, and ripped a piece out of it...and honestly...it tasted like beef jerky. I then felt my arm lengthen then sharpen into a sword I think, and a large shield. Huh...nice! I then washed my mouth out with mouthwash and we continued. Chris had then grabbed the magnum downstairs in the chair.
"This is mine. There may be many like it, but this one is all mine." Chris said grinning. Jill shook her head, as I chuckled. We then went on the elevator, and Rachael wrapped her arms around me. I smiled, as she kissed my cheek and then the door opened. An expansive "hallway"...with three of those shark-knights. I grinned morphing into my new equipment.
"Let this be a fight of chivalry." I said as I held the shield at the ready in my right hand, the sword in my left. As I approached the one it went with a stabbing motion, which I had blocked with my shield just in time. I then slashed at it with my sword, but the shield blocked it. I had went for a bisection...but the shield had stopped that. I then bashed the creature with the shield, and it stumbled. I then stabbed the creature through with the blade. I grinned...but then the creature had gotten me in the side with it. It then flung me back and I landed, my blood staining the white floor.
"Are you okay?" Rachael asked as I nodded, the wound already healing. I stood up, morphing my weapons back into my arms and I grabbed my Sig Saüer P226. I then began unloading into the first creature. It fell back and exploded, which had hit the second and third, and I blinked as I reloaded my weapon. Huh...I honestly expected to need more than just that.
"That...was anticlimactic." Chris said as I laughed. I had to agree with him. It really was. We approached a large door, with a safe valve on it. I looked around and saw a keypad.
"Think I could just overload it?" I questioned as there was chuckle from Chris and Jill. Then Chris walked forward and typed in some numbers. I blinked, as it began to turn. Then the bars on each side, unlocked, then finally the door. Inside...revealed the laboratory. A large open area, with a central platform, and a sea of red around it. The T-Abyss Virus.

Here ends chapter 13! And a lot has happened in this chapter! School is also starting back up again, ugh. I'm going back on the 5th...then soon enough, around next month, I'm starting 2nd semester. Yay! Things will at least get more fun...or at least I think so. But anyway I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! The poll is still up, so please vote, or tell me your choice in a PM or review!
