He is called by the famous bat signal
Not always, but often, the Bat will come
Patrols of their city are dangerous
But Batman and Robin- they have no fear
To the Bat and his Bird, it's no great fuss
But the Bird is to lose one he holds dear
The gas comes without warning to his face
Seeping through the hard metal of his mask
Batman's armor working is not the case
Acid gas, too well it has done its task
A death like this is sure to raise some Cain
All it took was some toxins to the brain
