Here we go, part 14.
WWE is not mine, nor am I part of it. Just a fan.Roman Reigns had rested easily, because he knew what was going to happen. He had a sort of date planned, but the Samoan had to pray nothing bad would get in the way. Sitting on the wall outside of the gym, he lightly swung his legs around. Dean had already gone inside, as he also knew what Roman was going to do. Nerves had crept in, becoming a nuisance. Reigns was determined to stand his ground, waiting for Harlow as he had promised before.
"Could you stay like that for a while?" A female voice asked. In view was Harlow Thomas, hand on the strap of her bag. Grinning momentarily, she took in the fresh air. "So that I can feel tall for a moment." Harlow reasoned.
If only Roman could grant that for longer, but the wall became uncomfortable. Standing on the ground, he smiled in return. "You know I would, Harlow." Roman replied. Slipping an arm around her shoulders, he proceeded to guide her towards the entrance to the gym. "Ambrose is in there as well." He pointed out.
Arching her eyebrow up, Harlow wasn't sure whether to question it or not. Shaking her head, she decided to leave it. "Fair enough, can't imagine him wanting to be a gooseberry." Harlow said. As she witnessed Roman open the door for her, she sighed softly. "Thank you, you are a gentleman." She commented.
"You're welcome." Roman responded. Closing the door behind them, he joined her side and they walked down the area together. "I swear if Ambrose does decide to be a gooseberry, he will get superman punched and speared into the next room." He admitted.
Harlow did her best not to laugh, but she failed. Covering her mouth with her spare hand, the champion hoped to have calmed down quickly. As her eyes scanned left to right, the mouth was free. "I doubt Dean would want to have that done to him, Roman." Harlow stated. Placing her bag on to a chair, she removed her jacket and positioned it on the back of a chair. "But then again, he is the lunatic fringe." She remembered.
"Meaning he will do anything silly." Roman concluded. Putting his bag underneath a spare chair, he checked that his laces were done correctly. "Anyway, we could start with weights and then maybe do something else?" He suggested. Standing back up, the Samoan felt his back go back into a normal position.
Tying her hair up in a ponytail. Harlow smiled. "Sounds great." She agreed. Putting her hands on her hips, the female breathed out as her eyes focused on Roman. "You can lead the way, as I don't want to end up being in trouble." Harlow spoke.
Taking her hand, Roman guided her towards the weights. "Harlow, why would you end up in trouble?" He wondered. Stopping in the centre of the section, the male browsed the options that were available. "It's not like you are wanted for crime." Roman added.
"If only I could tell you." Harlow quietly admitted. There wasn't much point in explaining it, as it would only result in her being on her own once again. "I'm not a criminal, if that is what you are thinking." Harlow insisted.
Picking up a smaller weight, he passed it to Harlow. "No, I wasn't." Roman confessed. Turning back around, Roman selected a heavier one for him to work with. "You are far too pretty to be a criminal." He said.
"Never judge a book by its cover." Harlow stated. Lifting her arm up and down, she was praying that Roman would leave the subject alone. Glancing around, Harlow couldn't see anyone that she recognised, which was a good sign. But she was a bit paranoid, as anyone could walk in. It included Tamina, but Harlow could deal with her. "Do you always do weights to keep in shape, Roman?" Harlow quizzed.
Beginning his exercise, the Samoan became focused. "Not all the time, I do other things." He answered. Moving his body round, he breathed in and out twice. "Weights are great for the muscle, but to keep in shape I also do some running." Roman explained.
Twitching her eyebrow up, the champion revealed a slight smile. Still, her paranoia was constant. Stepping to put the weights back, Harlow breathed out as she put the equipment back in the original slot. "Maybe we could go for a run instead?" Harlow suggested. Folding her arms across her chest, the female was hoping to feel a bit more better about that. "Just a couple of laps somewhere?" She pleaded.
Roman stopped with the weights, he didn't want to upset her on their first date – If that was what they wanted to call it. "We could lap this room… It is big enough." Roman said. Putting his weights back on the shelf, the male rubbed his hands. "If you want a race, I can give you a race." He challenged.
Giggling, Harlow positioned her hands on her hips. "You think you can beat me?" She queried. Shaking her head twice, she slightly turned on her feet. "I wasn't going to ask for a race, but if you think you can win…" Harlow trailed.
"Come on sweetheart, I wouldn't want to beat you." Roman insisted. Standing behind her, his arms went around her waist – his chest against her back. "You will win, because I know it is the right thing to do." He explained.
Glancing down at the contact made, Harlow Thomas gulped. "Don't attempt to make it easy for me, Roman." Harlow stated. Peering over her shoulder, Roman was there with a smile on his lips. Turning herself around, the champion touched his upper arms. "Let's do some laps around the room, see how far we get." She added.
The Samoan dropped his arms by his sides, there was no point in arguing – He gained her trust, and there was no chance that Roman would risk breaking it. "Alright, you can lead the way Harlow." Roman replied.
That was what Harlow did, she soon started to jog. She was aware that Roman Reigns was following her, because it was what she wanted. "I hope you can keep up, because if I speed up you will lose me!" Harlow warned. She didn't aim to be competitive, unless she was in the mood to. Presently, she wanted to focus on keeping fit and keeping an eye out for any trouble.
Quickening the pace so that he was by her side, Roman Reigns chuckled. "Then my choice is clear, I will stick by you so that you don't speed off." He commented. Slowing the pace down for himself, the powerhouse ignored the many strange looks from other people. He caught sight of Dean, who scratched his head in confusion. "I have never seen Dean so confused." Roman admitted.
Harlow only just managed to see that, and once again she laughed. "Bless him." She responded. It didn't matter that Dean was observing the couple, Harlow was just glad that no one intended to hurt her or him. "Probably never seen you run with anyone." Harlow guessed.
"Possibly." Roman agreed. They had already done half of the room, it was time for a change of scenery. "Maybe we could get our stuff and go outside?" He offered. When he witnessed her starting to walk, he smiled and released a breath. "Sounds like you agree with me." Roman noted.
"Yes, I do." Harlow confirmed. She noticed that Roman began to walk, holding his hand as she moved her fringe to the side of her face. "It's nice out there anyway, so it will be good to get some fresh air." She reasoned.
As they got to their bags, the couple picked up what they came with and strolled together out of the door. Harlow had started to relax with Roman's presence, she couldn't believe that it was happening to her. This was one thing that she didn't expect, but still it felt nice. Walking down the steps, the female accepted that maybe he wasn't going to destroy her feelings. However, it was still early days.
Part 15 will be coming soon, honest :)
