Yasuo's three-day stint in prison was not an eventful one. He stayed quiet in his cell, toying with the wind for hours on end, creating miniature tornadoes and gusts to push a ball around his tiny living space. On the fourth day, Yasuo awoke and rolled out of bed. His bare toes touched the cold stone floor of the prison, making him curl his toes as he slid into his brown prison uniform. Then he was lead to the showers by a guard where a dozen men were already scrubbing their grimy, scarred bodies. Yasuo didn't make eye contact with anyone but disrobed and followed suit. The water was cold and bitter as Yasuo rushed to clean himself and get back to his cell. In the hurry, Yasuo's small bar of soap slipped from his hand and landed over the drain. Yasuo rolled his eyes and was about to pick it up when he heard a familiar metallic voice.
"I wouldn't if I were you."
Blitzcrank, the shining metal golem was back in once piece. Yasuo's heart jumped in excitement. Could this mean he was free?
"What are you doing here, Robot?" Yasuo said, reaching for a towel and wrapping it around his waist.
"I had witnessed the events that had occurred prior to your arrest. You are not at fault. We need to get you out of here. We must be careful though for Officer Vi, I have heard that she lets her fingers do the talking."
Yasuo stared incredulously at the golem. "Excuse me? Do you mean hands?"
Blitzcrank made a buzzing sound for a moment and replied. "Yes, it appears that was a glitch in my language functioning from my recent reconstruction."
Yasuo said nothing, partially annoyed by the robot's strange attitude and partially wanting to listen to see what he had to say concerning Yasuo's freedom.
The robot continued, "With the data in my memory banks it should be possible to prove your innocence. Now quickly equips these." Blitzcrank opened his enormous hand revealing a pressed white tuxedo and crimson bow tie. Yasuo raised an eyebrow.
"How will dressing like some debonair joke help prove my freedom?"
"Officers Vi and Caitlyn are not completely convinced of your guilt. They have negotiated that if you assist in the apprehension of the criminal, Jinx, you will be free."
"Again," Yasuo asked, "Why the suit?"
"The criminal Jinx is said to be attending a banquet tonight in the Sky Ring Ballroom in northern Piltover this evening. We will attend in disguise and acquire her. We will 'dress for success' as they say."
Yasuo was not distinctly annoyed. "Look, you overgrown tin can, there is a Noxian assassin in Piltover right now and he has to be the priority!"
"You will be free to pursue this assassin after Jinx has replaced you in this prison facility. I apologize to correct you, but you must understand that your freedom comes with a debt."
"I don't owe you idiots or your judge or your officers anything!" Yasuo's anger had reached a boil and a gust of wind swept through the prison, sending towels flying and water from the showers splashing across the floor.
The robot stepped back and put his giant hands up defensively. "Calm yourself. Please hear me out. The court is willing to verdict you innocent if you can capture Jinx."
"How would I do that? You saw me try to beat her but she not only destroyed you but escaped me. Not to mention the fact that the Noxian is far more important."
Blitzcrank didn't skip a beat, "Though you failed in the past you must succeed this time. Not only is it your only way to freedom, but I will be able to properly aid you. Have faith in me, I have been told I am a good support."
"Fine, if I don't have a choice. But I want my normal clothes back. I'm not dressing like some freak. And my sword -I'll need that too."
"But sir, the event you will be hunting Jinx at is a banquet this evening. We have high reason to believe that she will strike at this event. The suit will keep you non-conspicuous."
Yasuo grumbled in protest but gave up the idea and resigned to saying "A banquet? You expect me to hunt down a psychotic anarchist dressed like this? And wouldn't my sword give me away anyway?"
The robot replied in the same monotone as always, quickly and matter-of-factly, "Surely you understand the importance of stealth tactics. Though it is unusual, this suit does provide you with that element. As for the sword you need not worry, there is a sheath eloquently hidden in dress pants. With the way it has been designed it should not hinder your movement."
Yasuo smirked and let himself grin a little. "Sounds alright I suppose." He unfolded the suit and had a look at the crisp white tux. "Alright, I'm in."
In the next couple of hours, Yasuo got dressed up and was taken from the prison to the police station where Vi was waiting. She spent about an hour telling Yasuo what he could and could not do but in the end all that stuck as an actual threat was "If you try to run, we will kill you." Yasuo didn't need to hear more and he wasn't planning on running. He simply would do his job and then find the assassin. The instructions that Yasuo was given by Vi were to enter the party with Blitzcrank and stake out for Jinx's arrival. Then, they would apprehend her before she could commit a crime. Vi and Caitlyn would be waiting outside as to keep suspicion to a minimum but would enter the party aid the duo as soon as possible.
Yasuo arrived at the party at around ten o'clock. The Sky Ring Ballroom's interior was sleek but what really stunned Yasuo was the view of the city. The skyline was glowing with lamps and electric bulbs of blue and white that crisscrossed the streets in neat lines. From the lounge, one could see just about all of Piltover. Yasuo squinted at the distance, noticing something wrong. One of the lights was yellow, in contrast to the rest of the city. It was on a rooftop quite a long way away but there was no mistaking it. It looked like the same yellow lamp he saw in Noxus! "The hell?" Yasuo muttered to himself.
"Yasuo, I have arrived," the familiar golem's voice said. Yasuo turned and immediately started laughing. The robot was dressed up in the exact same white tuxedo as he was; all the way down to the bright red rose. "Is there an error?"
"What are you wearing?" Yasuo laughed.
"I am dressed to fit in as well."
"You're a robot though!"
"I do not detect your problem."
Yasuo couldn't get over the sight of a giant, tuxedo clad, metal golem before him. "Robots are always naked!"
Blitzcrank used his giant hands and feigned covering himself defensively. "I will not be pressured into public indecency."
"Haha, whatever."
Blitzcrank got down to business. "Our mark has yet to show herself. We have visualization of the outside through cameras set up prior. If all goes proper when should know of her arrival before even the first shot is fired."
"Yeah... but when do things ever work out proper? How's the tie?" Yasuo replied, gesturing at his bow tie.
"Your appearance is almost perfection. Here, let me just make a small adjustment," Blitzcrank tugged slightly on one side of the tie for a moment and then stepped back.
"Thanks, Blitzcrank is it? Care to dance?"
"Oh! Why Yasuo, y-you flatter me, but I am a married golem. If I had blood, I would blush at this moment."
"It was a joke...- Wait, you're married?"
"That is correct. Though in suppose marriage between robotic units would seem unusual to a man like yourself."
"Who is your wife?" Yasuo chuckled.
"My wife is another robot named Orianna. We have spent many years together, constructed many children together. I suppose it as been a good existence," he replied, ignoring Yasuo's laughter.
Yasuo paused for a moment and turned to hide his laughter and turned back, trying not to smile. "Yeah, okay buddy."
"What? Have I said something amusing?"
"No, no. Just... A robot with kids?"
"Affirmative. Is there a problem?" Blitz answered as if there was nothing strange.
"Aren't robots just programed as adults?"
"Well, it is a little different than that. You see robots, unlike humans, are manufactured. Normally a robot is created by an inventor of sorts; however, robots can reproduce with each other through-" Blitzcrank stopped mid sentence and his eyes glowed brightly for an instant. "She's here."
"Jinx?"
"Yes," Blitz replied, gesturing at the thin woman with blue hair entering the party. She sported a frilly white dress and stockings up to her knees along with a feathered hat. It looked like a fancy dancing outfit but Yasuo wasn't deceived. He noticed sticking out of her tiny handbag was her "zap" gun.
Yasuo grinned, "Looks like it's time to dance."
"I already declined your offer."
"No, I mean… Forget it."
Authors' Notes: Thanks for reading this chapter! Now, I saw a few reviews with requests in them and I'll let you know now that these requests will not be making it into The Unforgiven unless they were already planned to be in it. However, these requests can still be included in another way (can't say how just yet). Anyway, I will explain that sometime later when I'm ready to announce what is coming up.
