Okay ya'll, I am about to give 'ya a fair warning about this chapter. It might get a bit… spooky, to be honest. Its short, yeah, but beware! Knights is about to go through something very terrible. Very terrible.
So, beware of blood and painful moments… well, the whole chapter is pretty much that. So ya'll 'ave been warned! If 'ya don't want to read about Knights' pain, then skip to the end, you have'ta read that bit to know what's up next. No, wait, that's a lie. You can skip this chapter, and still know what's goin' on, but you won't understand Knights' side of it as well. Is it understandin'? Or just me bein' desperate for people to read my story?
Which reminds, me... I should update in the day, and not at two in the mornin'. It might help...
Summery: Knights was kidnapped by a robot that China sent to do just that! After it recovered the Angel Diamond that is. Knights managed to defeat the robot, even though her eyesight had gone somewhat because of a head wound. Amy finds the Sky Fox's crew and tells them about Lucky, and they all agree to help… after they save Knights that is! But when they get there, Knights is waiting, already done with the robot. But now, something is happening. Knights took the Chaos Fragment from Rouge, and is now screaming in pain! What's going on? Where is China? Where is Eggman? Where is Lucky?
Will we get any answers this chapter? Or will we lose our first hero to something terrible?
Disclaimer: I own only my imagination. Thank you for understanding.
Chapter Thirteen: Chaos Energy Gone Knights
She tried to fight it. She really did! But the Chaos Energy was too much, even from the small Chaos Fragment.
Knights collapsed to her knees, the shard gripped tightly in her hand. Oh, how she wanted to let go of it! But the Chaos Pull was too strong. After years of being suppressed, the darkness was rushing forwards. It soared through her system, a terrible, painful joy.
Heat sheared through her blood, making it feel as though it was on fire. Her heart rate increased in two seconds flat, exceeding the normal range and threatening to burst out of her chest. Her head throbbed and pounded, like a thousand tiny, angry Chao were beating nails into her skull then ripping them out to hammer in somewhere else. The wound on the back of her head burned as it stitched itself back together, the blood flow stopped, but caked the underside of her lower quills. A scream of pain-filled terror escaped Knights' throat, her golden eyes snapping open with horror as her being shuddered. Noise shattered her eardrums. She could hear nothing but white noise, Even her teeth ached, feeling as though they were all being pulled out at the same time.
"No…" Knights' voice sounded like a thick gurgle as blood tried to force its way out of her mouth.
Muscles screamed; blood boiled; fur ached; and she saw red.
Then, suddenly, it was gone.
Not completely gone, she could still feel it in some far corner of her mind. A hand reached up and touched her quills. They were all pointing up. She looked down at her hands as they moved back in front of her.
Her gloves were different. Instead of pink and ending at the wrist, they reached up to her elbows, though they were still fingerless, and were the proper blood red color. Looking at her feet, she noticed that her shoes were now the right kind, combat boots in blood red.
Wondering if anything else changed, though only vaguely, she looked over herself. Her outfit had changed back to the correct style: pitch black skinny jeans with red drops; blood red spaghetti tank under a short black leather jacket and pitch black neckerchief scarf, the ends of the scarf already sticking up. Her bracelets were still thick, though now they were black and had no silly designs, and she could feel the ruby encrusted earring in her left ear.
She stood up, still checking over herself. Her fur had gone back to normal. It was once again rich, midnight purple with a red stripe running down each arm. Which meant that her quills, now all pointing up, were tipped red as well. As were her tail and bangs.
What of her eyes?
Ignoring the lesser-beings staring at her, she lifted the Chaos Fragment to look at her reflection. And she grinned, long fangs showing clearly.
Her eyes had gone back to their beautiful solid black, no pupil or otherwise, with the magenta slits.
She was back.
And this time, she wasn't going anywhere.
Uh-oh. Looks like our heroes are in for somethin terrible! But, what, you ask? 'Fraid I can't answer that just yet, my friends! Ya'll will just have ta wait for the next chapter, I'm afraid.
But we can still ask questions! Like what's a mote-motion? Well, its what the mote on a Chao turns into dependin' on its current emotion. Though, Bolt has more mote-motions then other Chao do because of somethin' not-yet mentioned.
Anyhow, movin' on.
What will happen to Knights and our heroes? Will we find out in… Chapter Fourteen: Midnight Knights?
I have a feelin' that things are about to get real crazy, ya'll!- JAF logging out!
