Hey all mange to get this up :D I won't be able to update now for two weeks but I been busy plotting and planning
Chapter 14: Mark of Nimueh
Merlin race along the corridor do get to the water pump and he bump into Morgana "Morgana ...sorry" He was going to run off again then he notice that Morgana was upset "What's wrong?"
"You're being carful" asked Morgana
"I'm fine" said Merlin "Have you had a dream again?"
Morgana nodded "You were ill. Really ill close to death doors" said Morgana
Merlin looked in Morgana eyes "No I not, Gaius has fine out how it spreading thought the water in the lower town. I going to stop people using it. And if I get some of the water to Gaius then it help him"
Morgana nodded then Gwen come towards them see too was unset "Gwen?...Gwen what wrong?"
"My...my" Gwen sobbed "My...father is... he has...the...the...sickness" Morgana pulled Gwen into a hug. Merlin left them to stop anyone else from drinking the water.
Merlin went back to Gaius chambers "I got the water... have you heard about Gwen's father?"
Gaius took the water "Yes I have, I'm afraid I might not fine a cure in time for him"
*...*
That night Merlin creped outside after he send Caleb home. He saw the guards checking the haystacks near where he was hiding. "Onstyrian onbregdan" Merlin said and a door creak open. The guards went to check it out. Merlin would wasn't fond of the guards made the door hit them in the face before going off.
He saw that both Gwen and her father Tom was fast asleep Merlin place a poultice under Tom pillow. "Pu fornimest adl fram guman" he said quietly hopeful not waken up Gwen or Tom. And then he snuck out again. Tom woke up and woke up Gwen both happy that he was alive.
*...*
Merlin saw Gwen walking down the corridor smiling. "Hey are you alright? Your father?"
"It's incredible he all better. Back at work and every thing" said Gwen
"Great" said Merlin who was going off
"You don't seem too surprised" noticed Gwen
"I am" said Merlin "It's a miracle"
Gwen gave him a curious look "How did you know. I didn't tell none?"
Merlin did some quick thinking "You're smiling and that can only mean your happy" Gwen gave him a I-don't-believe-you look "Okay okay... I'm psychic"
Gwen laughed "No you're not"
"I am too" said Merlin "I tell you what my Uncles is Uncles right now" Merlin pointed to the courtyard were Uther was walking fast. Merlin gave a little cough and put on a Uther like voice "This is disgraceful, we been like this for days and it show's no sign of stopping. They must be a way I hope Gaius has made a break thought soon..."
Gwen laughed "You're not psychic...how about you tell me what I am thinking"
Merlin looked thoughtful "That...I am not psychic"
Both Gwen and Merlin laughed before getting on with their jobs.

Arthur walked to Tom would a working away "The story is you were sick"
"Not anymore" said Tom happily
"Perhaps you were suffering from some other aliment?"
Tom laughed lightly "You got to be joking. I felt like death itself, not enough strength in me to stir air. But look at me now"
Arthur nodded "Was anyone near you when it happen?"
Tom nodded "My daughter Gwen" said Tom he thought some more " I'm sure I saw of someone else close by. But I don't know who it was only a shadow"
Arthur and the guard search Tom and Gwen house and one of the gaurs find the poultice under the pillow.
*...*
Gwen was walking carrying a vase Arthur saw her "Seize her"
"No" said Gwen at once
"You are being taking in for questioning" said Arthur at once at Morgana storm up to them "By order of the king"
"I haven't done anything I swear" said Gwen as the guard took her way.
Morgana turn to Arthur "What do you think your doing?"
"I found a magic poultice in her house" said Arthur tonelessly
Morgana gave a I-don't believe you look "Oh that is ridiculous"
Arthur looked at Morgana "How do you explain her fathers recovery? Someone must of make him better. Tom said the only people there were Gwen and he saw a shadow of someone"
"Gwen is innocent, I know she innocent" said Morgana
Arthur looked at Morgana "I can't turn a blind eye, Morgana" Arthur turn to walk away
"Why not?" called Morgana "You know in Uther eyes she is guilty" Arthur stop for a second but then carry on, on his way. Then Morgana notice Merlin "Merlin they took Gwen for questing. You know Gwen would never use magic...you must do something"
"What?" asked Merlin
"They find a poultice in her house" said Morgana "But someone must of lefe it there"
Merlin was guilty ridden "I'll Gwen somehow. I swear on my life" With take Merlin took off.
*...*
The guards dropped her in fort of the king "Father" said Arthur "She only here to be question"
"She father was ill and then he is better" said Uther firmly "She in ether use magic ageist Camelot or had links with sorcerers"
"Please I don't know how it happen" cried Gwen "He just got better. He just recovered I didn't do anything"
"Undo this enchantment" order Uther
"I can't" said Gwen sobbing slightly
"If you don't undo this sorcery or tell me who who stared it..." began Uther
"I don't know anything" said Gwen
"Uther carry on like Gwen hadn't spoken "I must find you guilty..."
Merlin step forward "...Uncle I don't believe Gwen had anything to do with this. She has serviced our family for many years as did her brother. Gwen is a good person..."
Uther looked madly at Merlin "Stay out of this, Merlin" Uther turn to Gwen "It is therefore my duty to pronounce judgment. And under the circumstance I have no choice but to sentence you to death"
"No sobbed" Gwen
The guars took her away Morgana come next to Merlin "Thanks for specking out" she said then she took at step towards Uther "I know Gwen, she's my maidservant not a enchantress"
"Have you seen an enchantress? Believe me they bear no sign no mark. There is no sense of evil in the eye" said Uther
Merlin was feeling angry he hated hiding and living a lie but he had no other chosen. He missed what Morgana was saying until "...You're sentencing the wrong person"
"She right father" said Arthur "You hear the word magic and you no longer listen"
"Maybe not all magic is evil" said Merlin Arthur looked at his cousin he was getting more sure he was using magic. Then Arthur looked in Merlin eyes they was something in them...guilty? But what dose he have to be guilty for? Unless... unless... unless Merlin was the one to heal Gwen father?
"Magic is evil how many time to I have to tell you" thunder Uther "I have seen what witchcraft can do. I have suffered at it's hand. I cannot take that change. I f there is the slightest doubt about the girl, she must die or the whole kingdom will perish. Arthur you will be king one day, some decisions must be made"
Arthur bow his head a little "Indeed father, I understand of the evil of magic" said Arthur careful choosing his words "I not king now and I don't know what kind of king I will be , but I have a sense of what kind of Camelot I would wish to live in. It would be where the punishment fits the crime"
"I fear you're right, She's played with fire, and sadly she must die by fire"
*...*
Merlin went to see Gwen he went down to the cells "Gwen"
Gwen went as close to the bar as she could "Thank you" she said
"For what?" asked Merlin
"For specking up for me in court" said Gwen "And for coming to see me"
"I'm so sorry" said Merlin
Gwen looked at Merlin trying to make her mind up what was going on in his head. But as Elyan once said it was impossible as it seem to be lots something on "It's not your fault"
Merlin looked at Gwen "Well..."
"Don't worry about me" said Gwen "I been alright... just remember me"
Merlin looked ay Gwen "You're not going to die" said Merlin "If I can't find prove that your innocent I'll break you out of here myself"
Gwen gave a weak laugh "Don't get your self in lots of trouble for me"
Merlin looked at her "I don't care what happen to me, You're one of my best friends and I'm not going to give up on you ever even if I have to travel though all five kingdoms and fight all kinds of monsters. You will get out of this if it the last thing I do" said with that Merlin ran off.
*...*
Merlin went in to the conca meting "Gwen isn't the sorcerer..."
Arthur stood up "Merlin I think you need to get some sleep, you only get like this when..."
"Gwen didn't use magic" agued Merlin
Gaius could see what Merlin was trying to say "Maybe you need some potion to clam the nerves" said Gaius "Sire may I?"
"Yes off you go" said Gaius
Merlin open he mouth to speck but Arthur and Gaius got them out of the door "Merlin" said Arthur "I know Gwen means a lot to you but keep your head screwed on" Arthur went back in.
Gaius grabbed Merlin arm "Come on" he said leading Merlin away

"Why did you stop me?" asked Merlin running his hands though his hair "I am trying to save Gwen"
"Well giving you self up isn't going to help" said Gaius "Uther will never believe his nephew use magic. If we are to save Gwen we need to find what is contaminating the water"
Merlin followed Gaius out to the underground to be the water supply is. "The water here supplies the whole town we need a sample. Merlin got some in a small bottle.
Then from behind them a Afanc come out of the water making Gaius and Merlin jump hey turn to see it go down into the water.
"What the hell, was that?" asked Merlin wide eyed
"Lets go out of here" said Gaius dragging Merlin out.
Back in Gaius chamber Gaius put down his book "It was an Afanc"
Merlin looked at the book and read out "A beast born of clay and conjured up only by the most powerful sorcerer..." He looked at Gaius "It's say nothing about how to defeat one" Gaius looked at all his books "That will take too much time" said Merlin "I got a better idea" With that Merlin jump up to see the dragon
I know I normal do this in two parts but time isn't on my side. At the moment So I will carry on in September when I get back and I been plotting and planning the whole time. Sorry for any disappointments but next chapter will be a good one as I'm adding a little bit more to it...have a guess if you want :D
