Chapter Fourteen: Holiday Day Out

Early Morning

It had been an unscheduled holiday so there was no school. Just as Nana promised they planned to go out and have a family day. Everyone got ready and off they went to the mall.

"We are here." Nana said. "Yay!" The little ones yelled.

They went looking around at all the shops. The little ones wanted to try the new cotton candy stand so Nana and Bianchi went.

"How was yesterday?" Tsuna asked Ayume. "Oh it was alright we had fun." Ayume said trying to not show she was blushing.

"That good." Tsuna said. "What brought that up Tsuna?" Kaiya asked.

"Ohh well I invited him and Gokudera."

"What!" Ayume exclaimed.

"Morning." Speak of the devil. It was Yamamoto. "Morning 10th!" Gokudera said.

"Morning." Tsuna replied back. "I actually have to run a quick errand so excuse me." Yamamoto said.

"Okay." Tsuna said. But before he left he walked towards Ayume and gave her a hug. "Morning." He said.

Ayume replied back trying to hide the fact her face was as red as a tomato, "Morning."

The rest of them went to go check Nana. After 15 minutes Kaiya saw Yamamoto and hit Ayume.

"Ow what was that for." Ayume said grabbing her arm. Kaiya gestured and started to push Ayume in his direction. "Kaiya!"

But Yamamoto had heard them and to play it off Ayume just walked to him. He just bent back and leaned on the railing.

"Hi." She said. "Hey." he said.

"So what are you doing?" Ayume asked. "Ohh the store said that the necklace is almost ready." Yamamoto said.

"Oh you got a necklace." Ayume said."Not for me for someone."

"Ohh." Ayume felt a little uneasy at that thought.

"So I just have to wait about 10 minutes more." He said.

"Well then do you what to go get something to eat?" Ayume asked. Yamamoto smiled, "Yeah sure."

While the others were riding rides and watching the little ones they went to get something to eat.

"'So you like the food?" He asked. "Yes."

They ordered French fries and burgers. Ayume started to laugh when she noticed that there was ketchup on the side of his mouth.

"What." He asked. "You have some..?" She said rubbing the side of her mouth.

He didn't understand so instead she reached over with a napkin and wiped his mouth which of course made him blush.

"Ohh...Thank you."

"You're welcome."

After their meal Yamamoto went back to check on the necklace.

"Hi Mr. Yamamoto your necklace is done." The lady at the cash register said. "Thank you."

"You're welcome so this must be you luckily lady." She assumed. "Oh no I am just a friend." Ayume denied quickly.

"Ohh my, I am so sorry." She said. "Well thank you and come again."

They left the store and went to look for the others.

"Sorry if it seemed long." Yamamoto apologized. "Its alright it wasn't."

"Sorry I guess it's kind of awkward." He suddenly said. "What it?" Ayume asked.

"How everyone assumes we're dating."
"Its alright it's not so bad." Ayume said.

"Anyways just out of curiosity remember what you said yesterday."

"Said what?" He asked.

"About when you asked me what I was doing today." Ayume asked. "Yeah what about it?" Yamamoto said.

"I don't know some how it felt like you were going to say something else." She said. "I don't understand." He said.

"Were you going to say something besides what you said yesterday?" Ayume questioned again.

"Umm."
"Then again I was probably just over thinking things. You know never mind forget I asked." Ayume said quickly dropping the subject.

"No you need to tell her." Yamamoto thought.

He reached for her hand, "How about, I will tell you if I take you to dinner." Yamamoto said.

"Tonight?"
"Yeah."

"Hmm...sure."
"I'll come over 8 o'clock." Yamamoto said.

"Alright."

After they met up with everyone the little ones were all tired so they called it a day.

They got home and Ayume was finding an outfit to wear.

"What!" Kaiya exclaimed. "Will you be quiet it's not such a big deal. He just asked me to eat dinner with him." Ayume explained.

"Wow now I think it's a date and twice in a row." Kaiya teased. "Shut up." Ayume said.

"So what are you wearing tonight?" Kaiya said sitting on the bed. "I don't know." Ayume said looking in the closet.

"Hmm." Kaiya thought. "What are you thinking?" Ayume said looking at her.

"I got a nice blue short dress with a black sash and a long black trench coat." Kaiya said. "When?" Ayume asked.

"Today after I sent you to Yamamoto I left with Bianchi and I got the whole outfit." Kaiya said going to the closet. "Really then if you got it, I should not wear it." Ayume said sitting on the bed.

"It's okay. I want you to wear it." Kaiya said skimming through the closet. "No I shouldn't." Ayume was telling her.

"Too late." Kaiya said pulling it out of the closet. "Wow... That is pretty." Ayume commented on the dress.

"I know and it will look beautiful on you." Kaiya said making her look in the mirror. "Are you sure I should?" Ayume asked.

"Yes I what you to wear it tonight who knows this could be the date." Kaiya said. "Well you should get ready for your date." Kaiya said walking toward the door.

"It's not a date, it's just dinner." Ayume explained. "Yeah a dinner date." Kaiya said running out the door.

"Whatever." Ayume said getting ready.

It took her a while to get ready shortly after Yamamoto had already arrived.

"Hi Yamamoto-kun." Tsuna said seeing him come inside. "Hey Tsuna." Yamamoto replied.

"What are you doing here?" Tsuna asked. "Ohh I'm taking Ayume to dinner." Yamamoto said explaining.

"Again?" Tsuna said. "Yeah." Yamamoto said rubbing his head.

"Is there something between you two?" Tsuna asked. "Hmm... I'll be honest..." He didn't finish because once he saw Ayume he just froze.

"Hi sorry to keep you waiting," Ayume said apologizing. "No its.. okay." Yamamoto said looking at her.

"What..?" She asked. "Nothing you're beautiful." He complimented.

"Thanks." Ayume said.

"So you ready?" He asked her. "Yeah." Ayume answered.

"What were you going to say." Tsuna asked. "Its nothing." Yamamoto smiled as they left.

"So are you going to tell me?" Ayume asked. "Umm. Well this date hasn't even started." he said.

"This is a date?" Ayume blurted out. "I would hope so." He smiled.

"Can you at least tell me where we are going?" Ayume asked. "Well there is a restaurant a few blocks away." Yamamoto said.

So they were walking to the restaurant and started to talk then they finally reached the restaurant. So they went inside and ordered their food. Time got away from her and after talking so much she forgot to ask what his actual question was.

After about an hour they got ready to leave. "Okay have a nice night." The manager said.

"Okay you too." Ayume said. "Bye ma'am." Yamamoto said.

So as they were walking back, Ayume remembered the question.

"Hey you never answered the question?" Ayume asked.
