Thank you all for reviewing! You guys rock!

Ella- Yeah, I am now realizing that Fang was very OOC. I apologize for that. And also, there are some up-coming chapters with POVs of others.

MockingjayFlying- I absolutely LOVE the enthusiasm. I guess if you really want to review nine times, go ahead and knock yourself out ;)

Izumi- I'm really glad you love the story. Keep up the reviews!

AddisonRox- There are still quite a bit of errors, but I am still looking for a beta reader, so hopefully it will get better.

Anonymous Reader- Hahaha. I take it your more of a Iggy fan more than I Fang fan, I will let you in a little secret. Iggy will find love. Don't you worry! =)

Eclipsed Heart- I know, I know. I am now starting to reread a lot of my chapter and I am noticing a lot of tense switching. I read this chapter over like fifty times, so I think there will be less. I hope. And I am still continuing looking for a beta, but no one will answer back. I will keep looking though. Thanks for reviewing.

pancakesforyou- I am trying to update as fast as I can, but as you could probably tell, I am not a very great writer, so I have to start proofreading a lot more. I'll try and update as fast as I can though. :D

Boo- Thanks for the review!

IhateBRIGIDaLOT- Awesome username first of all, second of all, I'm glad you like the story. You rock!

Disclaimer: I don't own Maximum Ride. You don't own Maximum Ride.

Max POV

"Max! Help me!" someone screamed.

I zipped my head up and turned into the direction of the voice.

Nudge.

Her and the rest of the flock were being held by those experiments, and each one was holding a knife at the neck of a flock member. I was just about to make my way over to the flock when I realized Fang was missing. Oh no, not again.

"Max!" he called. He, too, was being held a knifepoint (you know, like gunpoint, but with a knife), except he was on the exact other side of me.

"Fang!" I called as I took a step closer to him.

"Max! Please, help us!" cried Gazzy.

I looked over at him. His hair, which was usually bright and curly, was dirt stained and matted.

You have to choose, said a voice in my head. No, not the voice. A different one. You either choose you flock, or you lover.

That's not fair! They can't make me choose!

"Max! Help us! We need you!" Angel cried.

I took a step back to the flock.

"Max, please," Fang whispered.

Choose now.

In that moment, I made my decision. I sprinted towards the flock.

When I reached them, the experiments disappeared. I looked back at Fang. He was slowly starting to fade away into the background.

"Fang!" I called, but it was too late he was gone. And so was the flock.

"Guys? Where's you go?" I asked trying to remain calm. "Guys!"

Then the scenery changed. I was in pitch black.

"Max! Wake up! Please wake up!" Fang called.

I turned all around, but couldn't see him. I couldn't see anything actually.

"Fang! Where are you!" I called back.

That was only the beginning, Max. Now, time to wake up.

I bolted up and hit my head on someone.

Fang.

I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tightly.

"Max, thank God your okay!" he exclaimed as he hugged me back. Then he started to rub circles between my wings and I immediately calmed down.

I pull back and lean back down to where I was apparently sleeping.

"What happened to you?" Iggy asked. "Have a nightmare about Fangy?"

I then sent him daggers with my eyes. "Shut up."

"Did you?" he pushed.

"Shut up!" I said louder. Silence followed.

"Sorry," I mumbled. Then I yawned. "So, what has happened so far?"

"Well," started Nudge. Oh god. "Fang and I woke up first and found ourselves in here. He darted right over to you. You wouldn't wake up, so he panicked. He was shaking you, calling to you, everything. Then slowly everyone woke up. All fifteen of us were in here to start with, but then they moved Kasie's flock to another cell. They also took Maya somewhere. I don't know if they put her with Kasie's flock, but she's gone. And right before you woke up, Pamela came and talked to us. She said that you might never wake up. Then Fang got up and started shouting some very creative words at her." I glanced over at Fang. He just gave he a small smile. "Then she left, Fang tried to wake you up again, and then you did."

"Alright, who gave Nudge coffee?" I asked sarcastically. "Was it you Gasman?"

They all started laughing.

"How is it that even we're in the worst situations, you seem to be extremely wonderful?" Fang whispered to me while he rubbed in between my wings.

A shiver went up my spine. "It's all in the job description."

He just smirked at me.

"Well, well, well. You did wake up. What a shame," said someone outside of our cell.

I growled. "What do you want Brigid?"

"A new car, a bigger house, a-" she started before I cut her off.

"What do you from us you idiot?"

She rolled her eyes. "All will be explained soon," she said right before her cell phone went off.

"Hello? Yeah. That's what I was doing. Now? Okay. I'll get some of them to bring her in. Which room? 'Kay. She'll be right there. Bye." Then she hung up.

"Alrighty Maximum. Say goodbye to your precious flock."

I raised my eyebrows. "Why?"

"Because it the last thing you'll ever say to them," she said before walking away. "You have five minutes," she called back to me.

We were all silent after that.

"What was that all about?" Dylan asked.

Just then Angel gasped, and put her hands to her cheeks. "Oh my god," she breathed.

"What?" I asked, starting to stand up.

"Oh Max!" she said flinging her self at me.

"What's wrong Angel?" I asked patting her wings.

She sniffled before revealing her face to the flock. 'Th-they're going to…. kill Max."

Kasie POV

I really hate people. More specifically, humans. Even more specifically, humans that work for the School.

"What are we gonna do Kasie?" Paisley asked.

I have no clue. "We're gonna get out of here."

"How?" Neo asked.

Once again, no clue. "A plan."

"You don't have a plan, do you?" Hallie asked.

I hung my head low. "No," I admitted.

Tyler scooted over to comfort me. "It's okay. Its not your fault."

"Yeah it is! It was my idea to team up with Max's flock! I should've known she was a trouble magnet."

"There was no way you could've known," Cylie consoled.

"Yeah there was. I could've followed my instinct."

"What do you mean?" Tyler asked.

"When she first asked us to join them, there was some kind of vibe I was getting from her. Like… Ugh! I can't even explain it. All I knew was that there was something off about her. Her whole flock," I explained.

They all nodded in understand. "But I do know one thing. We are gonna get out of here. We are eventually gonna beat the School. And we are gonna find you parents. That much, I am sure of."

Just then, Brigid came over. "Hello hello. How are you all feeling?"

I put on a very fake smile. "Just awesome."

She rolled her eyes. "I just came over to alert you that you have approximately five minutes to say goodbye to your flock."

"Why?" I asked.

Because you're going to be terminated, she thought. "Just reasons."

I narrowed my eyes at her. "Liar."

She frowned. "What?" she asked genuinely confused.

"I read minds idiot."

"Oh. Well, now you know the real reason. Are you happy now?" she asked walking away. Once she was a few yards away, she turned back. "Remember, five minutes."

Once she was out of sight, Tyler spoke up. "Five minutes until what?"

I gulped. "Nothing."

Ella POV

"Ella, Ella wake up," my mom whispered to me.

I slowly lifted my head. We were in front of a house. "Where are we?" I asked, still groggy.

"A… friend of mine's house. I think he knows where the flocks are."

"How'd we get here?"

"I drove all through the night," she explained.

"Why?"

She pursed her lips together. "Because I think I know what they're going to do to Max."

"What is it?" I asked, eager to find out.

"Well, lets just say, if we don't rescue her soon, you might not have a sister," she said bitterly.

My eyes widened. "They're gonna… kill her?" I asked, stumbling on the word "kill."

She nodded slightly. "Either that or…. Never mind," she said quickly before walking up to the house.

I joined her at the porch just as she knocked on the door twice. A few seconds after, the door opened and revealed a man.

"Valencia?" he asked, obviously surprised to see her.

"Hello Jeb."
