Episode 13
Squadron Log:
It's been a pretty eventful weekend. I've met my first gangster and it happened to be the biggest mob boss known in Atmos: The Colonel. Due to some bumps on the road, our fridge went over board but we got a new one a bit after the ordeal. Good thing too, we had a lot of mouths to feed after busting about twenty people from the Cyclonian Prison Zartacla. They seriously needed food. The Rebel Ducks and other lone resistant fighters can now return home. Our fight continues but I noticed having other optomistic fighters helps keep morale high and each other friends.
Starlight out.
I closed the book with a smile on my face. I didn't know how to write in Atmosian caligraphy at first and I knew I'd need to at some point so I taught myself. It wasn't hard. The letters resemble Japanese characters but if you tilted your head like this and that, you'd see they were the same letters as in the English alphabet only written in strokes. The pens and pencils here had a flat tip so that it imitated the strokes of an ink pen.
"Did you hear Star?!" Finn yelled, running into the bow.
"Huh?"
"We're going to Terra Ray!"
"Oh...cool." I said, putting the log back in it's place.
"Why aren't you excited?" Finn asked, clearly disappointed.
"I-I am, I just...I don't like sunlight."
"Huh?"
"Too...hot." I regretted ever saying a word.
"Well, you definitely need some sun. You're pale."
"You just want to see me in a bikini."
"I-uh, I don't know what you're talking about." I chuckled.
"You're a terrible liar and I know you like the back of my hand." I smacked his back with the back of my hand as I passed him and chuckled on my way back to my room.
When the others stopped for some fun, we actually ended up staying till night rolled around. I figured this was a great opportunity to return to my second life.
"While you guys beocme fish I'm gonna explore the village."
"Want one of us to come with you?" Piper asked.
"I'd love it but maybe you should stay and keep an eye on 'em." She chuckled.
"True." I rode away on my ride towads the small village on this side of the terra and took off on the other side, turning in the air to head back to the excavation site.
"Ah, there's the beautiful star; here to check my progress?" Domiwick greeted.
"Yes, well, how goes it."
"I found it of course." He boasted, leading me to the opening. It looked like the Fordbidden City was still standing strong and the cyclonians breaking through the hardened dirt didn't disturb it. Once they did, they must have seen this-
"-now I will certainly go down in history as a legend! The very first living legend!"
"Lightning Strike was the first living legend." I said, and walked back out.
I was leaving the Cylonian hanger for the highest floor when I was roughly pulled aside. A hand covered my mouth in case I screamed. But I'd recognize the lily scent anywhere.
"Thanks for covering for me." She said.
"Everything alright?"
"Y-yes, I got what I needed." She stuttered, memories coming back to her.
"Atmos too. The Terradons owe you now which will come in handy." She gave me a strange expression.
"Can you really see the future?" I smiled sheepishly as I shook my head.
"One could argue though. All it takes is careful observation and knowledge of the cards each side hold."
"I see."
"They really like you, you know."
"I know."
"So why don't you join us, after this?" I ask with a nod towards the Empress above us.
"Perhaps...one day."
"No pressure Star, I meant later. Trust me, there's others out there that can relate to what you've been through. The world may seem big right now and that you're the only one inhabitting it but...you'll find it's a small, cozy world filled with friends."
She listened closely, silently. I let out an awkward laugh.
"I mean...I know what happened to Mesa." I admit. "I mean that I can relate." I squeeze her arm as I turned away, I probably screwed up there, and walked away quickly.
"Master," I said to announce it was me when I came into her throne room. It seemed like she practically lived in this one.
"Come up here." She said. I raised an eyebrow but did as she said and stopped behind her.
"What reaction would an Energizer crystal and Solaris crystal elicit?" Is she testing me?
"Since you're asking, my opinion is nothing. A Solaris crystal isn't like every other crystal. It's rechargeable so whatever's in it is all you get. It's also natural energy; crystals may come from mines and are technically natural as well but there's a slight difference. Combining the two could wipe out what's been stored in the crystal in a blinding flash. I mean you can literaly become blind."
"Huh."
"I've been wondering if it's possible to create a device with mirrors on the inside, reusing the solar power or perhaps it'll create energy from it's heat, enhancing it's ability in a way."
"Eachancing..."
"What?"
"Nothing. I need you to go check on Domiwick."
"Already done. He claims he's found it. And I'm sure he did."
"Good..."
I meant to update last friday but got another cold, this time a head cold with headaches and a constant fever. Still blowing my nose which is annoying.
