Rin's eyes flutter in her sleep as her mind was nowhere near giving her body the means to wake anytime soon, instead she smiled as she dreamed on in peace. She saw darkness melt into a light blue light filling the sky with white clouds dancing across the sky peacefully, there was the smell of fresh flowers in the air and morning dew. She looked down to see tall grass reaching too her knees and smiled it felt good on her bare feet, she saw a figure on the horizon walking to her quickly she smiled and ran quickly to the figure.
Soon a path began to clear for her and running became easier her eyes filled with tears and she smiled when the figure held open his arms, his dark hair flowing in the wind. Her heart leap with joy with happiness and heartache that they weren't together in real life right now. She pulled herself close grabbing his shirt and buried her head into his shirt "Naraku!" His arms slowly wrapped around her and he buried his face in her hair and inhaled deeply as he whispered her name not with joy and happiness but with heart break and sadness "Rin…" She pulled away and looked up at him with tears and a smile she looked into his eyes and saw the sad smile on his face and he face changed in an instance.
Her face changed to a frown and tears of fear and worry "N-Naraku"
He took a deep breath and smiled down at her as his hand touched her cheek softly and he smiled as he crashed his lips into hers softly. His lips slowly and gently moving against her's with no further passion than simply being here with her now, not ulterior motions showing in this gentle and loving display.
He pulled her away and smiled at her as he pressed his forehead against her's then stared looking into her deep chocolate brown eyes "Rin… This is the last we will ever see one another and even now I don't have much time." He looked at him shocked and nearly pulled away when his arms wrapped around her "Please let me enjoy this… I don't know how this is possible but I'm really here with you it seems."
"Wait you mean this isn't a dream?!"
"No… Your mother Kikyo pulled a few strings and I am allowed to say goodbye before I move on into the unknown of the afterlife." Rin's eyes filled with tears and she shook her head crying he held her close pushing her head in the crook of his shoulder as he spoke softly in her ear "I was killed in Taikonaru a few minutes ago…"
"What?" It was so quiet it was as soft as the whisper of a calming wind.
"Yes, but I have to explain what happened. You must never return to that place it is evil, there is nothing good in that hell hole."
"I don't understand." She was so shocked this couldn't be true, he couldn't be dead… the thought made her want to die too. She wanted to cry and scream and hug like there was no tomorrow and protest what he was saying, but she needed answers.
"Sango killed me. I found out information that was kept from everyone for decades… The cards have been rigged since the beginning. You weren't fated to be the tribute nor was Kohaku that poor boy… But you both were picked only for being the right for the job."
"What?! I- why…why would she-?"
She had been cut off and he sighed as he pulled away and cupped her cheek in his hand, her small little fingers reached to keep his hand there as she looked like all hope was gone from life. Tears filled in his hand and he spoke "She chose you for being an orphan you had no true ties with anyone, so she figured no one would mind really. And Kohaku because everyone would start to wonder sooner or later why no one from her family was picked they would grow suspicious and he was a strong boy too."
She looked at him and shook her head "S-."
"I have to go…Rin."
Rin shook her head and held on with a death grip "No! NO! Please don't! I love you I really love you please don't go! I can't go on knowing you are no longer alive!" She started to collapse as he stepped away from her, she felt sick to her stomach and tears ran again non-stop down her face "Please…"
He took a breath and smiled kissing her on her lips one last time, both of them savored the last contact they would ever have with each other. Rin shook as he pulled away, she fell to the ground and looked up at him begging "Please stay here with me forever."
"Rin if I did that, it would me you would never wake again. Your body would age, but you would never wake and live a real life."
"I have no life without you!"
He sighed and smiled as a tear ran down his eye "Rin… this is hard enough. Please don't do this. I-If I did that I wouldn't no couldn't even do that! Knowing I took your life away so you could live in a fake world!" She got up and yelled shaking her head "I DON'T CARE I LIVE IN ONE NOW!"
"Rin the last way I can show my love is to let you go, please live a happy an d full life for me?"
"Naraku…"
He started to fade as he walked back to the horizon line, She ran after him only to be stopped by a invisible wall "Naraku!" Naraku stopped and smiled at her then pointed his finger to behind her "Rin, there is someone else who needs you… You touch everyone's life for the better, you have to return to help not only other. But to help yourself as well."
He then faded as the last thing began to fade which was his hand slowly waving she cried falling into the ground beneath her screaming "NARAKU!"
She hid her eyes with her hands, feeling a slight tug she removed her hands. Her eyes sight blurred from tears caught on her eyelashes as she was looking at her fingers she noticed a red line appeared around one. Rin looked at it as it grew and dragged on the ground through the grass, she stood up and began to walk in its direction.
As she took a step she wrapped her the slack around her hand with the string attached to her finger. The string shone brightly in the sun her pace quickened when she felt a tug and then a row of trees as she tilted her head to see different angles in the dark inside of the tree line, so dark her eyes couldn't answer her mental question 'So dark… what's in there?'
When she looked in she saw something lunge at her but it was so fast she couldn't understand what she saw as she fell on her back, then ground beneath her broke as she fell in the darkness she screamed only to have her screamed silenced.
She heard voices of all those in her past.
"You are a tribute nothing more."
"Orphan!"
"A lady shouldn't speak!"
"You will die!"
All the hurtful things filled her heart as darkness surrounded her making her feel even more alone and then her body began to feel like stiff cold ice. A light shone and she felt the tug on her finger, she looked at her finger and then at the light and winced 'Too bright!' The light softened some to show a woman with silvery grey hair flowing wildly around her small form and brownish golden eyes. Her skin was a beautiful pale cream with light color of pink in her cheeks, which had a single pair of maroon jagged stripes. Just above her eyes was crescent shape on his back with the opening facing up to the top of her head, the shape had black detailed outlining the shape and on the beautiful white inside.
She reached out her hands and she had black stripes around her wrists, there was smile on the woman's lips showing long white fangs along white pointed ears on the top of her head. The woman was dressed in a yukata that blackest of night skies, with lavender colored big flowers blossoming on the material. There was also a flower that had a white outline that was a greyish white fading trim until it reached the middle of the flower and it was solely light blue, there wither big petals that were black and blended in the material with silver stitching outlining the black flowers the tips were silver and faded into the middle where it was only black with tiny periwinkle flower petals all over the fabric.
The obi she wore was silver obi that fades into a light purple with a white decorative second bow in the back just above her obi's bow. She wore her hair up in a high ponytail as some was pulled in the front the rested to her middle of her waist, the ribbon in her hair was black and happened to be detailed with lavender and light blue threads with silver mixed in. As the dim light shone in the darkness it caught all the colors on the black ribbon caught the light perfectly.
The figure before he closed her eyes to show black eyeliner and white markings over her upper eyelid, her lashes long and graceful. The woman wore black shoes Rin hadn't seen before and she opened her mouth to speak and then found no words, the mysterious being smiled and rushed forward putting her finger to Rin's lips. Rin blinked multiple times and she blushed as the stranger pulled away and then she found her voice "Who are you? Where am I?"
The woman smiles and leans forward and whispers in Rin's ear "Kiyomizukika. It is a name my mother gave to me." Rin stared in aw the woman was beautiful breathtaking actually she felt another blush on her face and the woman smiled "Am I that beautiful?"
Rin mutely nodded and the woman softly laughing, Rin spoke up again "Long name…"
The beauty nodded and smiled "My mother created it. Kiyomizukika actually means, pure beautiful moon flower. I love the name it's so unique and beautiful."
Rin stared at the woman and looked around "Where am I?"
Kiyomizukika was gone in a flash and all that was left was Rin and she looked at her red string as if shone brightly, she stared and then the darkness turned in the night sky. Rin saw her hand was transparent and then looked down to see she was above the lands in the cage, once she realized this she started to fall down quickly. Everything was zooming by so quickly as she passed through the cave she saw her body lying still looking to be peacefully asleep…
'There was nothing peaceful about it.'
With that final thought she fell back into her body. Rin's eyes fluttered open and looked around as she got up feeling dizzy she grabbed her hair and saw something at the opening of the cave, she felt her blood run ice cold and she screamed in her mind hoping for help 'SESSHOMARU!'
