Hey y'all!
This is for a Guest who wanted something Cassidy/Tristan.
I realized I haven't done anything from Cassidy's P.O.V., so here you go!
Enjoy!

Cassidy's P.O.V.
A few months ago, before Gigi's wedding and all that, we did a video chat with the Berkeleys for book club, about Charlotte Bronte.
We're doing one again today. Right now. They've made another video about Jane Austen, but this one's just for fun, and we thought it would be cool to see it together again.
I'm not as nervous to see Tristan now as I was before because I know where we stand, and so do my friends, even though we (as in my friends and I) have never talked about it.
I guess Tristan's my boyfriend.
I mean, with Zach, it just sort of happened, and I felt a bit uncomfortable whenever he referred to himself as 'my boyfriend'.
With Tristan, though, I'm more than thrilled to admit it.
Ever since he kissed in the rink - wow, I'm turning red just thinking about it- I haven't been able to shake away the feeling. Luckily, he feels the same, so we started keeping in better touch. I miss him a lot, and now that we know that we're a couple for sure, I don't feel shy or nervous around him.
We video chat really often. Every single night for me, which is morning for him. I've gotten to know Simon better- not nearly as well as Megan knows him- but still, he's a good friend. And his parents are really great, too. Tristan has really hit it off with both Stanley and Grant, which is weird. My mom and Courtney think it's about the cutest thing ever, but hey, it's them
Chloe is usually there when we video chat, because Mom's busy and she needs me to keep an eye on her. So Chloe and Tristan know each other now, too.
Sometimes, when I'm away at a game, or he's busy, he waits until his night time, just to hear from me. Which is incredibly sweet.
Get a grip, Sloane. You are not Becca Chadwick.
Megan clicks on Simon's video chat icon, and the four Berkeleys pop up on the screen.
"Hullo, New England!" they chorus.
"Hey, England!" we parrot back.
Tristan flashes me a smile, and I return it.
"We've worked hard on this video as well." Mrs. Berkeley says, "Or, the lads have, at least. You saw most of the Jane Austen things when you visited England, but the boys have gotten a lot of facts in."
We lean forward eagerly, and they start the video. Tristan and Simon seem to have an equal hand in this one, unlike last time, when it was mostly Simon's baby. Their mom is right, the video is really great. Even the facts are interesting. Emma and her mother look super impressed. I'm guessing that they haven't come across a few of them.
The video is shorter, since they didn't have to put in as much content, but it's awesome. As the last few words fade off the screen about ten minutes later, we burst into thunderous applause.
"Nice, wasn't it?" Mr. Berkeley gives us a wide smile.
"Great!" Megan tells him. Or more like, tells Simon.
"Very informative." Mrs. Hawthorne says approvingly, "I didn't know a lot of those things. You've done it again, boys! Ever thought of taking up filmography instead of ice skating and soccer- I mean, football?"
Tristan laughs, "No, sorry. But it's all in good fun."
The minute she mentions ice skating, I remember something.
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaim, "How was your competition? Did you place?"
Tristan beams, "I was waiting for you to ask. I'm surprised it took so long."
"Me, too." his mother agrees, "Especially since he mentioned it, what, 15 times during your previous meeting?"
"I know, right?" I grin, "Well, how did it go?"
"We won!" he announces triumphantly.
"Really?" I say excitedly, "Congratulations! That means you advance to semi-finals, Tristan!" as if he doesn't know it.
"I know!" he looks equally excited, "I can't believe it."
"I can." I say staunchly, "You worked hard."
He laughs.
"Are we missing something?" Mrs. Delaney asks.
"No, my son just had a huge competition yesterday." Mr. Berkeley told my friends, "And he and Annabelle earned a tremendous victory."
"Well done!" Mrs. Wong cries, and we all clap for him again.
"What previous meeting?" Mrs. Chadwick asks curiously.
"He and Cassidy video chat often." My mother says breezily. She checks her watch and then looks upstairs, "Cassidy, sweetheart, I think I hear Chloe crying. Go upstairs and get her for me, will you?"
I obediently spring up the stairs, and return to the room 5 minutes later with an awake Chloe.
"Oh, hi there, darling!' Mrs. Berkeley coos.
Chloe rubs her eyes with her fist for some time as I settle her on my lap.
Then she blinks and squints at the screen, a wide smile coming onto her face.
"Hi Tristan!" she says promptly, looking at him.
"Hi, Klo. I was beginning to think you've forgotten me." he says.
To say the rest of the book club, leaving out my mom, was shocked is an understatement. They were literally gaping at me.
"What?" I ask defensively.
"Chloe knows Tristan." Becca says faintly, "Chloe knows Tristan?"
"Um, well, yes." Tristan drawls, "I see her pretty often, you know."
Chloe squeals and Tristan and I grin at each other, enjoying the spectacle we were causing.
"But how?" Jess asks, looking stunned.
"My mom already said that we video chat." I point out.
"So?" Emma questions, "How often?"
"Every night. For me." I say, adjusting Chloe's position on my lap, "And morning for Tristan."
"That's every day." says Megan, surprised.
"Mmmhmm." Simon nods, "They almost never miss the timing. I'm sure they have compensation timings as well."
"We do not." Tristan defends himself. Well, defends both of us, I guess. "And, back to the point, Chloe is with Cassidy during our video-chats, so we've gotten to know each other quite well, haven't we, Klo?"
"Yes, Tristan." Chloe says, beaming. I hug her. She's so cute. I can hardly imagine our family without her. Or without Stanley. I still miss my dad, of course. I miss him a lot, every single day, but if I had to choose a step-father, Stanley is the best choice.
"And your daughter is such a joy, Clementine." Mrs. Berkeley tells Mom sincerely.
"Which one?" my mom laughs.
"All 3 of them, of course, but in that sentence, I was referring to Cassidy." Mrs. Berkeley says, "I look forward to their video chat timings almost as much as Tristan does. She's very funny."
"Yes, she has a wonderful sense of humor." Mr. Berkeley agrees. I smile at them.
It might be an exaggeration to say that Mr. and Mrs. Berkeley are like my second parents (I don't need another dad) but they're great, and really nice. Sometimes, when Tristan's talking to me and his mom calls him to do the dishes or something, one of his parents or Simon sit and talk to me instead.
It's the same with Mom and Stan or Grant and Courtney, if they're in town and I've got some extra chore. That's how Tristan's got to know my family so well.
We've become really close, which I think is great, but I would never tell anybody that in a million years, and if anybody guesses, I would deny it.
"I think she's great too." Mom says, smiling at me, "And Tristan is fun as well. So is Simon. You've got a wonderful family there."
"I can say the same to you."
"You know." Mr. Berkeley says, "Jane Austen had a very closely knit family."
"That's right." Mrs. Hawthorne pounces on this immediately, ready to get back to the topic. Even though we weren't reading Pride and Prejudice, we did talk about it from time to time.
As we chat about Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice and the Berkeleys provide us with more interesting facts, the sun goes down.
"It's time to say good-bye, I suppose. It's been great fun chatting with you all." Mrs. Berkeley says.
My friends are clearly waiting for an opportunity to pounce on me and ask me since when Tristan's and my family became so close.
We all bid them goodbye, and Tristan winks at me.
Maybe it's good-bye for them, but the two of us still have another video-chat on for tonight.
