My, this one took a lot to write. I think I'll let it speak for itself however.

Chapter 14 -Secrets, Battles and Psychopathic Madmen -

-Michelle's POV-

Dark and I sat on the shore of the small island, in the shade of the tree. "So Dark…" I say to him pointing to the sun, which was nearing the horizon. "It's getting late, and the sun's going down. I think we should set up camp soon…" He gets up a little with a grunt, and says "I guess so. Do you have a tent or something?" I make a small smirk, and pull my tent out of my bag once again. "Watch this, and be amazed." I say, then do the same maneuver I did earlier with the tent on my first night in Hyrule. Dark's mouth hangs open, and he says with a slight unsteadiness "B..but how d-did… um… thinking about it, I don't really need to know do I?" I chuckle a bit, and say "Yep. Which side of the tent do you want, and which blanket? I have a purple one, a black one and a white one." "Black one, and right side" he says, as I put the blanket in his hand. "Aaaaand…. Pillow attack!" I say, throwing a black pillow in his face. He laughs, and throws it back at me. "So, that's how you wanna play, huh? Pillow fight!" Pillows fly, tackles are made, hair is pulled. Dark and I have a hour of good fun, and we both crawl into the tent, exhausted.

The tent's a half-black, half purple space due to our choices of bedspreads. I curl up, and laugh "Hehe, I haven't had that much fun in ages! Never got to play like that when I was a kid… Hey, Dark? Wanna.. Hear A secret?" Dark perks up a little, and he says "Secret? What secret?" I come in close to his ear, and whisper "Just a little secret about me. Nothing bad, I promise." He thinks for a second and says "Hmm… Ok." I go back to a comfortable position, and say "Well, it something slightly interesting about how my brain works… "Ever since I was little, I've been able to sort of hear the "soundtrack" of the areas I go to. It's sort of like I have a symphony in my head, playing whatever song best fits the place and situation I'm in. I can turn it off, but most of the time I don't because it either helps me focus or alerts me to danger. I can also hear past pieces as long as nothing important is happening… Wanna hear?" Dark stops for a second, and looks me straight in the eyes. "That… is… an awesome power. Being able to have a personal orchestra in your head for everything you do… That makes me envy you a bit. I guess I'll take a listen, seeing as it would be nice to have a lullabye…" I put my hand on his shoulder, and think of a piece. I "play" a nice, calming piano piece with a violin backing. "Want something more exciting?" I say with a smirk. He chuckles and says "Go for it." I think of another piece, and recall a blood-pumping one suitable for an intense boss fight. He smiles, and says "I think that's enough for now, we need to rest up for tomorrow…." I nod, and take my hand off his shoulder. The music stops for him, and he sighs. "Thanks Michelle, that was awesome." He gives me a small kiss on the hand, and says "Get some sleep, tomorrow's going to be difficult. It's the Temple of Shadow, so it won't be a pushover…" I nod, and roll over. I say "Good night" to which he responds, and I turn off the lamp I had lighting the tent. As I drift into sleep, I think of both him and Link and I smile.

-Link's POV-

I groan, stretching out on the uncomfortable slab of a bed given to me during the challenge of my ancestors. The hour's sleep I was allowed, while nice was not very fulfilling. I get up, stretching out my legs and back while making a large yawn. I open the door to the small room, only to be met with a mob of redeads. "Oh no…." I say, dashing around the crowd of zombies. I roll into a gap between two of them, barely squeezing by. I bring myself up and run through an open door, slamming it shut. "I guess… fear… is the best way to motivate yourself to exercise…." I say to myself, panting. I look forward, and realize it was another of the "Master Sword Rooms". "Oh great… Now, who am I going to fight, and what dark DARK secret are they going to tell me…. That is the question." I say to myself, bordering on sarcasm. The fake master sword glows in a strange mix between red fog and floating liquid, and an adult me clad in red appears. He puts both hands on the handle on his sword, putting the tip of the blade on the ground and leaning slightly on it. He makes a slightly cocky smile and says "Soooo Link-y, I'm the incarnation of your rage and cockiness and self-sureness and blabb-blabbity let's fight already." Quickly bringing up his blade to point at me. "Let's see how well you can do, hmm?" He tosses the sword at me, missing my head by an inch. I stutter in shock and draw my blade. "It's on!" I say, regaining my composure. He makes an evil smile, and says "If it's on, than I guess I don't have to hold back…. Prepare to lose." He seemingly turns into colored dust in the vague shape of his body, which disappears and reforms where his sword was stuck in the wall by his throw. My mouth hangs agape with shock; "That's not fair! If I'm supposed to be fighting the parts of myself, than I shouldn't be forced to go against tactics I can't learn!" He makes an evil chuckle and smirk and says in a chillingly sinister voice "Maybe you could learn this if you tried and didn't just try to scrape through, hero!" He teleports in the same way again, this time in rapid succession with each teleport almost being a frame of his swing; in the same motion he slashes my arm and hits me to the ground with the flat of his blade. I grunt in pain, and clasp my cut arm. Thankfully the cut is only skin-deep; not quite enough to draw blood. He makes another chuckle, and says sternly "THAT is just a taste of what you'll get if you don't stand up and FIGHT you weakling!" I pull myself up with a grunt and say "Cheap… shot… Not holding back anymore…" I reach into my pocket, throw a bomb, back-flip and shoot him in the face with an arrow. Dazed by the arrow, he fails to get out of the way of the bomb. He lays on the floor, burned black as ash. /Ok, maybe that was a bit too brutal…/ I think to myself. He laughs; a maniacal, droning sound rolls from his lips. This horrible sound continues as he pulls himself up from the ground. "Haa.. Ha… Ha… Heha… that… was so WEAK hero!" He twists toward me, cocks his head and makes an insane smile. "If you're going to take me out… DO IT WITH YOUR SWORD YOU COWARD!" He screams as he lunges for me. I move my sword, barely blocking his blow.

His insane, quick blows drive me back as I block them, until I'm pressed to the wall. He laughs. "Hehe… This is the moment I've been waiting for!" He raises his sword to perform a final blow, his ash-stained face twisted into a maniacal grin. I stab. He gasps, eyes bulging from his head. Looking down, he sees my sword through his chest, and he falls hitting the floor with an echoing crack of battle-weakened magic-made bones. He laughs. "Ha… You actually got me. I'm surprised… I thought you would've fallen here… Oh, the surprise… Haha.. Perhaps you DO have a chance do defeat Ganondorf… Take… This key. There's a chest in the next break room that you're not actually meant to open. It contains something special. You might just need it… And to be honest, you impressed me. That's the only reason I'm letting you have this. Haha.. Haha.. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Haaaa…." He disappeared into colored dust as he laughed, scattering in a sudden gust of wind. I grab the key from where he was, and walked out of the room.

I'm met with another room similar to the last resting area. This time there is a chest adorned with black and gold next to the bed. "Hmm… I guess this was what he was talking about…" I put the key in the chest and turn it, and open the chest. I gust of colored dust shoots out at me, and I pass out.

I had a lot of trouble with this one, mostly trying to figure out how the fight scene would go and what would come after. I think that after a lot of tweaking, I got the "Red Link's" insane, maniac personality and mannerisms right. I hope you enjoyed this, and more will be on the way! ...As soon as I can get the chapter right, and if youtube doesn't eat up too much of my time... *sigh* -Sonicman64
