Todd and Kevin had no other choice but to leave Marty's hospital room after she completely freaked out and the nurse had to give her a sedative to calm her. David came to speak to them in the hallway. Todd winced because his shoulder was hurting, but he was determined to make sure Marty and Powell's other victims remained safe. "David, did you hear anything about Powell? Did the police catch him?" Kevin asked.

David shook his head. "They went over to his house of horrors and they found a blood-soaked bed, but no Powell. He's gone."

"Then we have to find the asshole!" Todd exclaimed. "I created a monster the night of the Spring Fling and I have to take him out, but I need you two to help me. The women we love will never be safe until Powell Lord the III is dead and lying in his grave."

"He deserves to suffer for the awful things he's done," Kevin agreed.

"I am in... I want to help. I don't want him to hurt my sisters or Step-Nora again," David stated.

"Alright then. We'll find Powell. In the meantime, we'll talk to Bo and suggest that he keep armed guards outside Rachel, Molly, Nora, and Marty's hospital rooms," Kevin said. "That way if Powell returns to the hospital, the women we love won't be hurt again."

Molly woke up and she was feeling in much better spirits. She saw Jonathon by her side. She took his hand and gently squeezed it. He woke up, happy to see that her fever had broken. "When's breakfast?" she asked him as she was actually hungry,

"I'll ring for the nurse," Jonathon said, feeling relief when he saw Molly was getting her color back and looking much better.

"That sounds great, because I am absolutely starved."

"I'll have them send in a tray for me, too," Jonathon stated, because he had inherited his dad's ferocious appetite.

Nora had slept the night through. Bo was outside her hospital room, talking to police dispatch on his cell phone. He had gotten the disappointing news that Powell had escaped. He was out there, wandering the streets and it was just a matter of time before he raped and tortured another woman. Bo was determined that the women he loved would remain safe so that they could heal.

He had just ended his call when Kevin, David and Todd appeared. "We're going after Powell," Kevin said. "The three of us are going to get the upper hand and do what we have to do so that Rachel, Marty, Molly, Nora, Maddie and anyone else we care about will be safe from that madman.'

Bo tried to argue with Kevin, but the three men were adamant. Bo wanted the police to handle the situation, but David said, "Pa, we have to take him out ourselves! After what he did to our loved ones, he doesn't deserve to live. What if he comes back here and he...?"

Todd interrupted. ''Powell's going down. There's no other way. He has to die."

"I want the three of you to be careful. I don't want anything happening when you have your showdown with Powell. Promise me you'll come back in once piece," Bo said.

David laughed. "We'll be in one piece, but I assure you that Powell will not."

"While we are out searching for Powell, could you make sure that armed guards are stationed outside the hospital rooms of our loved ones? Also, you better give Jackson a call, so you can warn him that Powell is still out there... on the loose," Kevin spoke.

"Yes, I will call Jackson, right after I speak to Nora's doctor. Just remember, do what you have to do to Powell... but stay safe."

David and Kevin nodded, but Todd was anxious to look for Powell. "Let's go," said Todd as he headed toward the elevator.

Jackson's eyes widened when he heard Maddie say she had fallen in love with him. "You're in love with me?"

"Yes, Jackson, I am," she responded. "I was just wondering... how do you feel about me?'

"I adore you," he said as his heart was pounding fiercely in his chest. "I'd do anything for you. Anything."

"But you don't...?" she said softly, disappointment striking her as she thought his feelings for her may not be as strong as the ones she had for him.

"No, I do. I do, Maddie," he said quickly. "I love you, too. So much."

He pulled her to him and kissed her. The kiss was one of deep passion, sending shock waves of desire throughout her body. After the kiss ended, she looked stunned. Her lips were tingling from his delicious kiss.

"Maddie, I - I'm not sure about this. Your dad may not approve," said Jackson.

"Then we need to talk to him and tell him how we feel, so he understands."

"Right now your dad has a lot on his mind. Your mom is not well and ..."

Jackson's voice cut off when he heard his cell phone ring. He picked it up to see it was Maddie's dad. "That's your dad on the phone now. I need to take that."

Maddie nodded as Jackson answered the call. "Hello, Mr. B. How's Mrs. B doing?"

"I just spoke to her doctor. They want to try a tongue transplant as soon as she's stable. How's my girl - is Maddie okay?"

"Ohhhh yeah, she's fine. She's right here with me."

"Jackson, listen to me closely. Powell Lord the III is NOT dead and he's escaped. He's out on the loose. The police are looking for him and so are Kevin, David, and Todd, but until he's apprehended, you'll need to keep Molly safe. Can you do that for me?"

"I won't take my eyes off her, Mr. B, I promise," said Jackson. "Maddie will be safe with me."

"Okay, I will keep in contact with you... and thanks for taking care of my girl. Tell her that her mom and I love her."

"I will. Talk to you soon," said Jackson, ending the call.

"How's my mom doing... and my sisters?" Maddie asked Jackson.

"Your dad didn't mention Molly or Rachel, so I guess that they are resting, but your mom might be getting a tongue transplant as soon as she's stable."

"I hope and pray the doctors can help my mom recover," Maddie said as she went into Jackson's arms for a hug.

"There's something I need to tell you, Maddie," he said as he held her close. "It's about Powell."

She stiffened in his arms as she thought of the psycho who had nearly raped her and had brutalized her mom and sisters. "He's not dead... and he's out there. They're trying to find him," Jackson said.

"Ohhh God, please don't let him hurt anyone else," Maddie said with a sob.

She started to pray for the safety of those she loved as she clung to Jackson even tighter. "Don't worry, Maddie. You're safe here with me... and I won't let anyone harm you. I swear it."
