"You're mother and sister are eventually going to find out Aichi"

The brunette sighed as he noted how many cuts the younger boy had.

"... I'll change back into long sleeve shirts and pants, luckily my father isn't so dumb as to leave overly noticeable marks that can't be covered"

The blue haired boy laughed softly yet bitterly, the brunette nodded grimly at the younger boy's response.

"Well is there any way I can help you... Without putting your family at risk?"

Kai asked, wanting to help yet knowing that if anything happened to the boy's family because of him, he'd most likely never be forgiven.

The younger boy pursed his lip as he thought for a second then shook his head.

"Not really, though it feels nice talking to someone about my problems"

The smaller boy replied softly as he leaned slightly on the brunette, slightly surprising him.

"You can always talk to me about your worries Aichi"

Aichi frowned slightly at the older teen's words.

"Kai... What made you suddenly change in the way you treat me?..."

Jades looked down into curious sapphires. The older one tensed slightly, unsure as to how he should answer the question.

"You know the saying 'you never know what you have until its gone' ...?"

The smaller of the two nodded silently at the brunette's words.

"Well... I took your presence for granted, but when you became more scarce I realized how much I cared about you..."

The brunette whispered softly, wondering if the younger boy would catch on to what he meant.

"... Thank you..."

The younger boy's response confused the brunette, he didn't know what he had said or done to earn the younger boy's thanks.

"For what?"

"For caring..."

Aichi whispered with a slight blush.

"Aichi, what if you tell, but have a decoy instead of your family and have your father's acquaintance that would hurt them caught?"

The older teen suggested, remembering to keep safety a priority. The blue haired boy narrowed his sapphire eyes, deep in thought.

"Maybe... But maybe not... Someone could mess up and get hurt..."

The younger one replied after a bit of silence.

"But what if you were the one at the risk of getting hurt in the plan?"

Kai didn't like his suggestion, however the boy was already being harmed and he'd rather have him harmed one more time than have Aichi continuously being harmed.

"I thought you didn't want to see me getting hurt"

"I don't... But I also don't want your father to keep on beating you"

The brunette replied with a thin smile, shocking the younger boy.

"I've never seen you smile outside of vanguard..."

The boy gasped in surprise, amusing the older teen.

"I'm Kai... I've been wondering. What did you mean while we were at that new card shop?"

The smaller of the two whispered as sapphire eyes made their way to the ground.

"What do you mean?"

Kai asked, even though he knew what the blue haired boy was talking about.

"... When you asked me if I wanted it to be the truth..."

Aichi whispered, his face unseen by the brunette who was silently seething with hope.

"I meant what I said Aichi, and I'm still awaiting a answer"

The smaller boy swiftly looked up into jade eyes, sapphires swimming with unreadable emotions.

"You can't really mean that becau-"

"I do though"

Kai replied, cutting off the younger boy.

"... If... You'd really have me then I-"

The younger one was once again cut off, except this time, his shock from the older teen giving him a quick kiss on the cheek paused his speech.

"K-Kai?!"

The smaller boy gasped as he placed a hand over where he had been kissed, his face tinged with a cute blush.

"I've been wanting to do that for a while now..."

Kai smirked at the smaller boy's shyness.

"..."

Sapphire eyes suddenly sparked with unknown anger, concerning the brunette about its origin.

"Aichi?"

"... You should have told me sooner... That's why I especially didn't want you involved..."

The younger boy pouted, relieving the brunette that he wasn't actually mad at him.

"So... Will you help me think up a plan to stop your father, without endangering Emi or your mom?"

The brunette asked, hoping the smaller boy would accept.

"Yes and, thank you Kai"

The brunette almost couldn't suppress a blush as the sincere smile that the smaller boy had given him.

"No, thank you, I didn't know if I'd be able to handle seeing you getting hurt all the time."

The brunette whispered, causing the younger boy to blush slightly.

"My dad didn't hurt me that bad though..."

The smaller boy was faced with a frown as he spoke.

"Not much? Aichi have you seem your arms?!"

Kai hissed softly, not believing that the blue haired boy didn't think his injuries were that bad.

"Yeah but this is the first time he actually intentionally broke my skin..."

Aichi trailed off and the brunette felt guilt wash over him as he realized that by him confronting Saito, he was provoked to harm his son even more.

"... I'm so sorry..."

The younger one smiled kindly as he grasped the brunette's hands within his own and gazed into jades.

"It's okay Kai, I know you were trying to help, I don't hold it against you"

The smaller boy whispered softly, knowing that the older one was probably feeling dread.

"But still..."

"No, Kai when you tried helping me, I felt so happy... Even though I knew that my dad would harm me worse because of it"

The smaller one replied, the brunette couldn't detect any lies within his words, and for that he was grateful.

"Okay... Then I guess we start making our plan?"

Aichi nodded at the brunette's suggestion.

"Yeah, though we may need a little help if necessary... I don't want this to mess up and make everything worse..."

The blue haired boy whispered softly as sapphires gazed towards the ground.

"Yeah, Miwa is already involved slightly so I'll call him to help if assistance is needed..."

The brunette replied, he knew that he could count on the blond when it really mattered.
