Warnings: Kissing, blood, violence, pissy Megan
Madara stared after Megan, stunned. "What did you do to piss Megan-chan off so badly?" Itachi asked, glaring at him. He considered Megan to be a little sister and was very protective of the blond girl. "She asked me why I want to control the world and destroy Konoha then yelled at me about how stupid I am," Madara whispered. Pein sighed; Megan had come to him earlier that week to talk…
Flash back!
Megan knocked politely on Pein's door. "Enter," he replied. "Pein-sama, may I talk with you?" she asked, looking pale and nervous. Pein frowned as she wrung her hands nervously. "Megan, what's wrong?" he asked. Megan bit her lip so hard he thought it would bleed. "Don't go through with your plan to destroy the villages!" she blurted out. Pein stared at the blond girl. She was trembling. "Megan?" he whispered, standing up. Megan flinched, shrinking back away from him. Pein stopped in front of her. "Please Pein-sama. Don't do it. I know what happened to your parents. It's not Konoha's fault. They didn't order those ninja to kill your parents. It just happened, please don't do it," she whimpered. Pein stared at her. "I have to do what Madara orders Megan," he said. "No you don't! Let me talk to Madara! Just don't go through with your plan!" Megan snapped, glaring at him. "Pein I know what happens when you attack Konoha! You die okay! The Pein in front of me dies, Nagato dies, all six of your paths die fighting Naruto. Nagato dies saving the villages he killed," she bit out, shaking. Pein could see tears in her eyes. "How did you know about me?" he asked. "Gah! Baka, remember what I told you! In my world this universe is a show! I watched it happen!" she snapped. Pein looked at Megan. Then he nodded. "Alright, I won't do it," he said, putting one hand on her head. Megan looked at him, shocked. "Just like that?" she whispered "Konan told me what you two talked about when you went shopping a while back. I agree with your view Megan-chan," she stated. Megan smiled…
End Flash back!
I ran through the forest surrounding the hideout. It was raining, as always in Ame. I had to get away from the hideout. Stupid Madara! Can't he understand that if he goes through with this plan he will die? He's so selfish! I thought, falling down a small hill. I shot back up and kept running. Tears and rain blurred my vision. I sobbed out gasps as I ran, jumping into the trees and jumping branch to branch.
With Madara!
Madara sat on the bed. Megan had run off. Megan, what are you thinking right now? Madara wondered. Pein stared at him for a moment before sighing. Madara was stunned when something collided with his face. Pein had punched him! "What was that for1?" he snapped. "Idiot goes after her! Megan needs you Madara! But you're too stupid to see that she wants you to be safe!" Pein snapped back. Madara blinked. Then he was gone.
With Megan!
I screamed as I fell, exhausted and cold from the rain. I plummeted down and hit the muddy earth hard. My right arm popped painfully. I gasped for air, struggling to my feet. Tears streamed down my face, mixing with the cold rain. I ran off again, collapsing under a large tree. I didn't know how long I had been running, but I knew I wasn't far from Konoha. Someone, please help me, I thought, hugging my knees. I blacked out.
Sometime later, I felt myself being carried. Groaning, I opened my eyes only to close them again. I was too exhausted to care right now.
"Megan-san," a familiar voice echoed in my foggy mind. Couldn't place it though, mind too foggy to function. I blacked out again.
When I next woke up, it was for real this time. I heard voices behind the door to my left. Someone, a woman was yelling. I closed my eyes again as the door started to open, it wouldn't do for them to know I was awake. They could be waiting to torture me.
"Tsunade-sama, this is the girl I was telling you about," a man explained. It was Kakashi! Was I in Konoha? Tsunade was the Hokage. I decided to "wake up". I opened my eyes.
"W-where am I?" I croaked, my throat feeling dry and scratchy. I tried to sit up but firm hands pushed me back down.
"No you don't! You suffered hypothermia and nearly died when I was operating on your arm," the woman, Tsunade spat.
"What?" I gasped, looking at the arm. It was in a cast.
"You dislocated your arm in two places, your shoulder and your elbow. Adding the fact you were hypothermic, I'm surprised you lived," Tsunade said.
"No wonder I feel like I got trampled," I mumbled.
"Exactly. Now are you Megan?" Tsunade asked.
"Yep. Hi Kakashi-san!" I chirped, waving at the man. He smiled, eye turning into an upside-down "U". I smiled back. A hiss escaped as I felt two chakra signatures outside my door. I tensed as Danzo walked in. it just had to be him! It couldn't have been Sakura or Naruto! Hell, even the pervert Jiraya would be better than him! Danzo regarded me with thinly veiled disgust. I knew why. He knew I was a part of the Akatsuki. Good, hopefully he's smart enough not to try anything. Tsunade glared at Danzo.
"I thought I said that no one besides me and Kakashi could see her," she growled.
"Why go through all this trouble for a criminal?" Danzo sneered. I sat up, wincing a bit. My arm really hurt and was making me a tiny bit pissy.
"Megan isn't a criminal. She infiltrated the Akatsuki under my orders," Tsunade snapped. Danzo's eyes widened. I smirked.
"Yep, and I really need to be getting back. Otherwise they'll come looking for me," I sighed.
"Not until that arm is healed!" Tsunade snapped, flicking me in the forehead. I whined.
"Ow! Tsunade-sama!" I whined. She grinned at me. Grumbling I settled down, not wanting to get flicked again. That hurt! Danzo left, scowling. I grinned. "Am I a terrible person if I thought that pissing him off was fun?" I asked. Kakashi snorted.
"No, I don't think so. He had it coming," Tsunade laughed. I smiled, leaning back on the pillows.
"Tsunade-sama, has Kakashi filled you in on what I know?" I asked. She nodded.
"Good, when I get everything sorted out, I want the charges against Itachi dropped. And I want the Akatsuki recognized as an independent organization. Pein has agreed to stop going after the tailed beasts and their hosts. But we're never going to be left alone unless a major village such as Konoha or Suna acknowledges us," I said. Tsunade stared at me.
"But what about the people your friends have murdered!?" she snapped. My eyes flashed.
"Konoha and the other villages aren't innocent either Tsunade! They have killed just as many if not more than the Akatsuki," I snapped. "Just because we have different ideals than you, doesn't make us the bad guys," I finished firmly. "Don't be such a hypocrite," I told her. Tsunade turned red with anger. I glared at her. "You want to know something? Originally I was forced to join the Akatsuki. But, instead of treating me like a prisoner, they took me under their wing and trained me. They're like family to me. Sure it's a dysfunctional family but at least I know they won't abandon me," I informed her.
"Then why are you here?" she asked.
"Madara and I had a fight, okay. I had to get out of there before I snapped," I grumbled. My eyes widened. "Oh shit! My earrings!"
"What?"
"A while ago I got captured by Sasuke. He wanted to know where Itachi was. Anyway, after that, Pein put chakra receptors in my ears," I pulled my hair back, exposing the earrings. "That way if I ever get kidnaped again, they could find me," I explained, paling. If Pein or Madara came here, everything would go to hell in a hand basket. I bit my lip. "And I can't take them out. Even if I could, I wouldn't." Kakashi looked thoughtful.
"You know, this could be an opportunity to negotiate and find if Megan is right about the Akatsuki," he said. I looked at him and smiled.
"Before anything do you think you could teach me a few jutsu? I'm the only lightening user in the Akatsuki. Besides Kakuzu and that is only because of the heart he took. And he's an ass and won't teach me," I requested, grumbling the last part. He blinked.
"Hm. I agree with Kakashi. And yes, he will train you. But Megan-san, understand if this doesn't work out…"
"I know, you'll have to declare me a criminal to save face. But don't worry, I have confidence in my boys and in Konan," I smiled. Tsunade grinned back at me.
"I like you Megan-san," she decided. I laughed.
A few days later found me in a training ground, testing my newly healed arm. Kakashi and I were just sparring lightly; to make sure it was okay.
"I think I'm back to one hundred percent," I smiled. Kakashi nodded.
"I'm going to teach you the chidori," he said. I gasped.
"Eh! A-are you sure!" I asked, staring wide eyed at him. Kakashi was grinning, I could tell.
"Yep," he snickered.
Two hours later I was lying on the ground, panting from exhaustion.
"Holy…holy crap…that takes a shit load of chakra," I panted. Kakashi helped me up. My legs gave out.
"You're limit on Chidori is three times. Not bad. I'm surprised you grasped the chidori so quickly," he told me as Kakashi tossed me onto his back. I snorted.
"I'm a quick learner," I grinned. Kakashi laughed as he carried me back to the apartment I was living in. Tsunade had given the address to me along with some money for food. Kakashi set me on my bed and went into the kitchen. He came back with a glass of water. I took it.
"Thanks," I smiled. I took a gulp of the water, sighing as it soothed my dry and itchy throat. Kakashi patted my head.
"Get some rest Megan-chan. I'll see you in the morning," he told me. I nodded, shooing him out.
I set the glass down. Pulling my hair band out, I shook my head. My bangs flopped in my eyes. I closed my eyes for a moment as two familiar chakra signatures flared up. I smiled, feeling them lock onto the apartment. Slipping my shoes back on, I darted out the door.
Hopping over the roofs, I headed for the Hokage tower, ducking into the window.
"Tsunade-sama! They're here!" I gasped, tumbling in. Tsunade blinked just as the window shattered. Pein, Madara, Itachi, and Konan stood there. I snorted. "Little over the top guys," I huffed, crossing my arms.
"Megan what the hell is going on!" Madara demanded. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Don't even think of attacking. Tsunade was generous enough to give me shelter here. So for once, shut your mouth and listen," I spat. Itachi walked over.
"Megan is you hurt?" he asked.
"Nah, just pissy right now that my brother asked how I was before my boyfriend did," I hissed, glaring at Madara. He winced. "You asshole!" I spat.
"Megan, please, explain what's going on," Pein sighed.
"Fine. I've spent the last few days here in Konoha training and crafting a treaty between the Akatsuki and Konoha. I don't want to keep fighting. We're going to lose if we continue down this path Pein, Madara-kun. Everyone in the Akatsuki will die," I whispered, clutching my pendant. Madara's eyes widened.
"Megan," he whispered. I bit my lip to fight back the tears stinging the back of my eyes. Tsunade watched silently as Madara strode forward, his hands tilting my face up.
"Madara, please, let it go. I don't want to lose you or have to choose between the village and you," I whimpered, clutching his cloak. Madara's dark eyes stared at me for a long time before he sighed, resting his forehead against mine.
"Okay, I'll listen to the terms of the treaty," he whispered. I smiled, wiping my eyes.
"Thank you," I kissed his cheek.
There ya'll go! Have a Merry Christmas! Review please! And no Flames or i'll sic Megan on you!
