I opened my eyes slowly and rested my palms on the hard surface below me. I let out a groan, every muscle in my body aching.

"Drink it up. Don't drip. There you go. Good girl. That's it," Damon's voice soothed. I found myself staring at his feet. I turned my head and looked up at him and the girl on the couch.

"Vicki!" I cried, getting up instantly. I ignored all the pain and pushed Damon off of her. I noticed the would on her neck healing up and I looked over my shoulder at him. "What have you done?!"

"She's fine, I healed her. Don't be such a drama queen," he snapped. Sitting back on the chair across from us. I looked back at Vicki. She had blood around her mouth and on her neck. I gently brushed hair out of her eyes.

"I'm so sorry," I whispered. She didn't stir. I sighed and sat down, my back leaning on the couch. I looked up at Damon. He had a glass of alcohol in his hand and took a sip as he glared at me.

"Why do you do that?" he asked suddenly. I shrugged then felt the pain pull through my shoulder. I grabbed it wincing. "You're still hurt."

"Thank you Captain Obvious," I growled through clenched teeth.

"Can I make it better?" he asked. I looked up at him surprised. Did he just offer to help?

"No, you can't," I snapped back. He stood and walked over, kneeling in front of me.

"Is it because you are stubborn or because I physically can't?" he asked. I shook my head.

"You can't do anything," I whispered, meeting his eyes. He stood up and walked over to a table where he refilled his glass. I watched him carefully but he just walked back and handed the glass to me. I took it slowly, with a shaky hand. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." He sat back down in his chair. I took a sip and sighed as the drink stung pleasantly as it slid down my throat.

"So I suppose you are angry." I met his eyes. He let out a loud sigh and leaned back in the chair.

"I suppose I should be. I mean you did lock me in a cell, bite me and go against every order I gave you," he said menacingly. I winced and downed the rest of the drink. "But I'm not." I looked back up at him quickly, surprised.

"What?"

"Yeah, you may have pissed me off Annie but there is so much more I can do than hurt you. Stefan still needs to give me my ring and you need to help me get Katherine back. I still have my plans," he said confidently.

"What happens to me when you get Katherine?" I asked. He grinned.

"I haven't decided yet. I guess you will just have to see when the time comes." I nodded to him. My body stiffened when I heard a groan from behind me. I turned around so fast I almost fell over, forgetting the pain the tore through my body.

"Woah, head rush," Vicki grumbled. She clutched her head and looked around slowly. Her eyes flickered between me and Damon, a confused look crossing her face. "Where am I?"

"You're at the -"

"You're safe for now and that's all that matters," Damon cut me off. I looked over my shoulder to glare at him and he just shrugged.

"I won't let him hurt you," I whispered to Vicki who's eyes were now glued to Damon. She looked at me.

"You're that girl. The one Matty talks about," she said giving me a confused look, "You stopped Tyler." I nodded.

"He talks about me?" I asked, a small smile crossing my lips. Damon laughed loudly behind me causing me to jump.

"That's cute Annie. Vicki, go shower you smell like blood and booze and it's a little tempting," Damon said loudly. He stood up and started walking towards her. I stood up blocking him from reaching her. "Calm down Annie, I won't hurt her. Upstairs first door on the left." Vicki stood up slowly and followed his directions. I watched her leave then realized Damon was standing right in front of me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his chest.

"What are you doing?" I asked quickly, bringing my hands up to push him away. He only held me closer.

"I'm bored Annie. I'm stuck in this house until the sun goes down and if you don't want anything bad to happen to Vicki, I suggest you entertain me," he whispered suggestively. I scoffed and tried pushing him again.

"You're disgusting. Let me go," I snapped. He smirked.

"Fine, I will just go join Vicki then." He untangled his arms from around me and took a few steps back towards the stairs.

"No!" I grabbed his arm pulling him back. His smirk grew. I pushed his arm away from me but he knew he had won. "No. Please don't touch her."

"You know the price." I nodded and walked backwards, keeping my eyes on him, to the couch. I sat down slowly and pulled my hair to one side exposing my neck. I focused on the ground as he sat down next to me. He gently brushed his fingers against the cold skin of my neck. There was still a thin scar along the front where the kid in the graveyard had sliced it. He took his time tracing over it before bringing his mouth down to my throat. I swallowed roughly as he pressed his soft lips down. He nipped lightly at the skin there, not biting down right away.

"Just get it over with," I hissed, closing my eyes.

"But the build up is all the fun," he whispered softly into my ear, his lips just barely brushing it. I sucked in a deep breath. It wasn't long after that I felt his fangs tear into my neck and the blood draining out. I tried to ignore it the best I could but the truth was, it didn't hurt, it actually felt good. I bit my lip roughly.

"Damon," I whispered. He leaned back and looked at me for a moment before roughly pushing me back on the couch. He climbed on top of me and started kissing my neck again. I pushed on his shoulders, trying to get him away, but I couldn't make him budge. I felt his lips turn up into a smile on my neck. He inhaled deeply and pulled away from me, smirking. Before I knew what was happening his lips were on mine. He placed his hands firmly on my hips, holding me beneath him.

"Oh man, that shower was so great," Vicki's voice called out as she wandered back down the stairs. I pushed even harder on Damon's shoulders but he wouldn't move. "Woah! Sorry, didn't mean to-"

"No! Nothing is happening!" I shouted quickly. Damon let out an aggravated sigh as he sat up.

"She's lying. We were kissing and she was loving it," he said as he stood up. I sat up on the couch and glared at him.

"No I wasn't Damon!" Vicki shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. What did you give me?" she asked walking up to Damon. He smiled at her and instantly had his hands on her hips. Vicki moved closer to him smiling.

"Some blood. You loved it." I looked between them worriedly. Vicki's face scrunched up in confusion.

"I did? Wait, I'm confused. How did we get here?" she asked. My own curiosity peaked as she asked the question. What did happen when I was passed out?

"You were in the woods, running. You were drunk and I attacked you. Oh, after killing all of your friends with the help of the gorgeous Annie here. I brought you here, gave you some blood, which you loved. And now we're going to party until the sun goes down," he explained calmly. I flinched at the part about the deaths but Vicki's reaction didn't change too much. She didn't seem angry or sad at all.

"Ok. Um, but first, can I have another hit? That blood was so good," she begged. My jaw dropped. I looked at Damon, glaring furiously.

"Only if I can," he replied back with a dark smile. Vicki held out her wrist eagerly, causing Damon's smile to grow. Damon bites into his wrist and feeds his blood to her while taking a bite out of her.

"Damon! What are you doing? Stop! Please!" I shouted. I grabbed his free arm and he turned to me, full vampire face on, blood dripping down his chin.

"Sit down Annie! I'm not going to hurt her," he growled. I took a step back and looked at Vicki. She didn't seem hurt. Her face suggested bliss. I took a few more steps back sitting on the couch. I looked at him silently as he continued to drink from her wrist. "Enough." Damon gently took his wrist from Vicki. She smiled. "Let's get this party started."

Vicki and Damon danced for hours. She giggled like a child. I sat on the couch, ready to move if anything happened.

"I am so over Tyler, so over him! I knew from the beginning that I was only a piece of ass to him, but I thought maybe if he got to know me better, he might see something more. But no. Now, Jeremy, on the other hand, that's all he's ever seen in me is something more, and I like that!" Vicki went on. I looked at her sadly. She really was used her entire life. She deserved more.

"Jeremy huh? Elena's brother?" Damon asked watching Vicki dance while he swayed. Vicki nodded and rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. So, Elena used to date my brother, and they were always together, so Jeremy would always be hanging around and crushing on me and— Wait, why don't you have a girlfriend? You're, like, totally cool and so hot!" Vicki continued. Damon shot me a look before winking.

"I know," he said teasingly. I looked down at my hands.

"Don't you want to be in love?" Vicki asked, demanding his attention back.

I let out a breath and stood up walking out of the room. I walked into the kitchen grabbing a glass of water and downed it. I felt hands on my waist and I almost dropped the glass. Well I did drop the glass but Damon caught it before it hit the ground.

"What are you doing in here?" he asked.

"Just needed some space," I whispered back. He reached up and firmly grabbed the back of my neck. I sucked in a breath and looked up at him. "What did I do wrong?"

"Nothing, nothing darling," he said looking deeply into my eyes.

"Are you drunk?" I asked with a shaky voice. He let out a low laugh. "Where is Vicki?"

"She's out there dancing. Join me," he said taking my hand and pulling me behind him.

"No, Damon. I don't want to dance with you," I said pulling my hand out of his.

"Too bad I didn't ask," he said taking my hand again. He pulled me into his chest and held me close to him tightly while swaying me gently. Vicki sat on the couch watching us.

"I don't get you two," she said suddenly. I looked over my shoulder at her.

"What's not to get?" Damon slurred, leaning heavily against me.

"Are you together?" she asked.

"No!" I shouted. Damon's grip on my arms tightened. "I mean-"

"Let's just say Annie here doesn't want to leave my side," Damon teased. I shook my head.

"I'd rather be anywhere but here," I hissed under my breath. Damon crushed my arms in his grip. I gritted my teeth together but glared up at him.

"Behave Annie," he whispered in a sing-song voice.

"I am," I snarled back. He leaned closer, his lips brushing up against my ear.

"Without the attitude sweetheart." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm bored! Damon, dance with me," Vicki groaned. He smirked and let go of my arms.

"Damon," I whispered. He looked back over at me. "Please don't hurt her." He rolled his eyes and pulled Vicki off the couch. I turned to walk back to the kitchen.

"Don't go anywhere Annie," Damon called from the living room. I turned to look at him.

"I'm just getting a drink, you interrupted me last time, remember?" I walked off.

Before leaving the room I made sure Damon's attention was elsewhere. I ducked into the basement, rushing silently down the stairs. If I was going to stand a chance against Damon I needed human blood. I opened the cooler I knew Damon kept a few blood bags in and I took out two. I drained the first one quickly, keeping my ears open, listening carefully for any signs of trouble. There was a slow song playing and Vicki and Damon were talking but I couldn't quite catch what they were saying. I sipped the second bag a little bit slower but the hunger took over and I couldn't stop myself from draining it and one more in a few seconds. There was suddenly a thump. The music turned off and I couldn't hear anything. My body tensed, frozen in place. What had he done? Terror ran through me as I finally forced myself to walk up the stairs. My hands shook. I opened the door and peaked around the corner. Vicki was there, dead on the ground.

"Vicki!" I screamed, running up to her. Her neck was twisted at an unnatural angle, her eyes were open. I brushed hair off her face, grabbing her cheeks and lifting her head gently off the ground. "Vicki I'm so sorry." I whispered, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"She will be fine," Damon said suddenly from behind me. I turned around standing up to face him.

"She's dead Damon! How will she be fine?" I shouted, walking towards him shoving him back.

"She had my blood in her system," he replied simply. My face dropped and I looked back at the dead girl on the ground.

"No, no she can't become a vampire Damon." He just scoffed and walked past me sitting on the couch.

"Well, that's what is going to happen. There is nothing you can do about it Annie, so I suggest you sit down and ignore it. She doesn't concern you," he said with a smirk. My eyes narrowed into slits.

"Doesn't concern me? I told her I would keep her safe! You told her she was safe!" I shouted walking over to him again. "She can't be a vampire Damon. She wasn't stable as a human, she will so much worse as a vampire. And think about all the people she feels wronged her and those who actually did. Tyler for sure! She could hurt so many people Damon. Why did you do this?" I stopped in front of him. He grabbed my arms and pulled me into his laps. I tried to stand back up but he held my wrists tightly, keeping me in place.

"I was bored Annie. Bad things happen when I'm bored. I told you, you knew. So really this is your fault. You disappeared, you didn't save her," he teased. My breath caught in my throat and I looked back at Vicki. It was my fault.

"I didn't mean to," I whispered. Damon let go of one of my wrists and gently grabbed my chin, turning my head to face him.

"You are so damaged," he chuckled. I looked sadly into his eyes.

"I walked away, I pretty much killed her. This is my fault!" I shouted. My breathing started to get frantic and I grabbed his arm with my free hand and tried my hardest to pull him off of him. "Let go of me! Let go! Let go!" I shouted, twisting in his grip desperate to get free. Damon's hand wrapped itself back around my free arm and he held me tighter than before.

"Why'd you leave?" he asked. He knew already, of course he knew already. He was playing games but it didn't matter.

"I was selfish. I wanted to help myself so I could help her but I can't help myself and now I can't help her," I replied through gritted teeth. There was a gasp from behind me. I didn't turn and Damon looked over my shoulder with a smile.

"What happened? We were dancing and then-"

"Then I killed you," Damon replied to the dazed Vicki. I didn't look at her, I wouldn't look at her.

"What?" she asked, sounding confused. Of course she was confused. She just woke up 'dead'. I closed my eyes.

"You're dead," Damon said blatantly.

"I'm dead?" the poor girl asked. She sounded a little scared. Scared wasn't a strong enough emotion. She should have been terrified, she should have frantically been running in the other way. She sat confused and defenceless in front of two killers.

"Yeah, well, let's not make a big deal out of it. You drank my blood, I killed you and now you have to feed to complete the process," Damon explained, moving me off his lap onto the couch. I finally looked over a Vicki. She was struggling to stand up but once she was up she gripped her head in pain. Damon walked over, looking like he was going to help. Vicki just pushed him lightly out of the way.

"You're wasted," she muttered as she stumbled towards the door.

"You don't want to be out there all alone. You are about to get really freaky," Damon warned. Vicki just scoffed.

"Okay, I had a really good time. I just want to go home," She stated as she reached the door.

"You're going to start craving blood and until you get it, you're going to feel very out of it, you have to be careful," Damon explained blocking her escape. I stood up and walked over to the door.

"Go home Vicki," I said plainly. She looked over at me, almost as if she was surprised to see me. I glared at Damon.

"Come on move," she said, turning on the devil himself.

"I'm just warning you. Actually, you know what?" his eyes met mine, "You should go, and if I were you I would stop by your boyfriend Jeremy's house." He moved out of the way. Vicki opened the door quickly and stepped out.

"Yeah whatever."

"Bye. Tell Elena I said hi, and if you see Stefan, tell him to call me!" Damon called after her. He closed the front door and turned back to me. I walked up to him and slapped him hard across the face before turning and walking back to the couch.

"You don't need to get anyone else killed!" I snapped bitterly. He appeared in front of me, blocking me from sitting.

"You don't seem too worried," he said angrily, glaring me down. I nodded.

"Stefan won't let anything happen to Elena's brother. He loves her, and you know that," I explained. He nodded.

"You're right but if Stefan is saving the Gilbert in distress, who will be here to save you?" he threatened.

"I'm done being scared of you Damon," I hissed.

"That's the stupidest thing you've ever done. Maybe you aren't scared of me hurting you directly but the sun is almost down and I could go straight for the quarterback," my body tensed and Damon noticed instantly, "Exactly."

"So what do you want me to do?" I whispered, looking up at him.

"Well, once the sun goes down I want you to go out and find Vicki. She won't be at the Gilbert's for long and I'm sure Saint Stefan will run after her. Whatever you do, don't run into him, got it?" he instructed. I nodded.

"Find Vicki without running into Stefan, easy enough. But if I do by chance run into Stefan what do you want me to do?" I asked.

"You don't." I nodded again and looked down at my shoes.

"And if I find Vicki?"

"When you find Vicki you bring her back here," he explained. I let out a breath.

"Okay. Why do I have to wait until the sun is down?" I questioned. He grabbed my elbows and pulled me slowly back onto the couch.

"I'm stuck here and bored. I want your help with that."

A few hours passed until I was finally out and searching. I checked her house first and listened to Matt move around inside for a few minutes before sighing and rushing off.

She wasn't at The Grill.

She wasn't at the school.

She wasn't at the Gilbert's.

Suddenly, something in my mind clicked and I rushed off. The cemetery seemed abandoned but I heard voices. I moved as close as I could to them without being seen.

"I'm so sorry. Damon had no right to do this to you," a familiar voice soothed. I bit my lip and looked carefully past the tree I was hiding behind, noticing Stefan standing by Vicki.

"He said that I need to feed. What will happen if I don't?" she asked with a shaky voice. I cursed under my breath. Damon didn't exactly cover this scenario. I found her but I couldn't get to her, not without Stefan noticing.

"You'll fade quickly… And then it'll all just be over," Stefan explained as gently as he could.

"I'll be dead," Vicki whispered. Stefan went over to her, softly touching her shoulder.

"Hey," he said.

"I don't want this," Vicki weeped. I took a deep breath. I couldn't let her go through this pain. I took a step out from my hiding spot.

"None of us wanted this Vicki. But it will be okay, we will help you," I said, my voice breaking sadly.

"Annie?" she and Stefan asked confused.

"I'm so sorry this happened. It's all my fault. I won't fail you Vicki," I went on. She kept her eyes glued to mine.

"Is it better? Will I be better?" she asked terrified. I shook my head and she let out a sob.

"I want to go home. Will you take me home?" she asked, still looking at me. I took in a deep breath. If it was what she wanted I would oblige. Screw Damon.

"Come on let's go." She stood up. I met Stefan's eyes. "She will be safe with me." He stood up too but gunshots rang out and suddenly he was down on his back. I turned and pushed Vicki behind me, looking towards the shooter.

"No!" Vicki shouted. Damon suddenly ran out and tore savagely into the shooter's neck. He dropped the man and turned back to his brother, pulling the bullet out.

"Is that wood?" I asked, staring at the weapon.

"They know. If anyone's going to kill you, it's gonna be me. My ring!" Damon growled to his brother. There was a strange noise that broke through Damon's rage. I looked worriedly behind me to see Vicki gone. I turned and saw her drinking deeply from the shooter's neck.

"No. No! Vicki!" Stefan shouted. I looked at her sadly.

"I'm sorry," Vicki whispered before taking off.

"Oops," Damon shrugged carelessly. He picked something off the ground and turned to me. "Annie, we're leaving." He grabbed my arm and pulled me away. I looked over my shoulder at Stefan.

"Help her," I mouthed to him. He nodded and was suddenly gone. I sighed and followed Damon home.

Back at the boarding house Damon got a glass of Bourbon, sitting down and examining what looked like a compass before he tossed it beside him. He looked at me.

"Well Vicki's not here," he said simply. I gave him a small nod. "But she completed the transition and now she's free to destroy whatever she likes, so I guess that works better than anything I had planned." He took a drink and looked darkly at me. "And now you. What to do with you?"

Okay so that's how I'm ending it. It sucks and I know it but I didn't really know what else to do. So there it is. I apologize for how lazy I've been and for how long it took to get this out. There was A LOT of filler in here, you know fluff that isn't necessary but needs to be there. Well here it is. Next few chapters should be much more fun. WOO! Read and Review and let me know what you thought. Thanks y'all!
