Chapter 14: Revealing Secrets

Mina was in her kitchen desperately trying to follow a recipe out of her cookbook that was all covered in ever ingredient known to man. "Mina, maybe you should just surprise Kento with a gift certificate for his favorite restaurant," Artemis suggested.

"No way, this is the first guy who likes me for who I am, I wanna make him something special and they always say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!" Mina answered.

"That's a way to put a man in an early grave too," Artemis commented.

Mina glared at her cat, throwing an onion at him. "Can't you just be useful for once?" she demanded.

"I'm a cat, Mina, I can't do that much," he answered as he jumped on the counter.

"Except get my counter dirty," she said with a slight glare.

"You're trying too hard to impress him," Artemis answered.

Mina was silent as she went to grab a mixing bowl from the cupboard when she stepped on the onion she had thrown at her cat. She let out a shriek as she fell flat on her back. "Ow," she moaned. They heard a knock on her front door and she let out a gasp. "That can't be him already! He's early!" she exclaimed as she stood up. She yelped when she went to take a step and a sharp pain went through her ankle.

She limped to the door, opening it to see her boyfriend standing there. "Hey, you okay?" he asked.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine, Artemis tripped me," she replied and the cat fluffed up at her words, shooting her a glare.

"Hey, Artie, gotta be careful," he told the cat, rubbing his head so the top of his head was all fluffed up.

Artemis glared a little, trying to push the fur back down on his head nice and neat. "You're early," Mina commented.

"Yeah, was in the neighborhood," he answered, "It was either come over here early or get roped into watching my siblings again."

Mina winced as she tried to step, quickly trying to hide it when he looked at her. "You're not okay," He told her suddenly.

"Oh this surprise has gone from bad to worse in just two hours," she groaned.

"What surprise?" he asked when suddenly the fire alarm in her kitchen went off.

"Oh no!" Mina exclaimed.

Her boyfriend rushed into the kitchen and smoke was filling the whole room. "Whoa!" he exclaimed. He threw the oven open to see a small fire inside. He grabbed her fire extinguisher, putting out the fire before opening the windows.

"Well, that plan went downhill quickly," Artemis commented, earning a glare from Mina.

Kento rubbed the back of his neck as he looked at the little ash pieces of what were supposed to be rolls. "Oh it's useless," Mina moaned as she sat down.

"Babe, were you trying to cook for me?" he asked.

"Yeah," she replied with a frown as she traced circles into her messy countertop.

He frowned a little, ever since they started going out it was like she was trying so hard to impress him. "Mina, you know I don't need a big fancy dinner, I'm cool with a pizza," he answered.

"I turn into such a klutzoid when I'm trying to do something new," she said with a sigh.

He walked over, picking her up off the chair. "You're my klutzoid," he answered, kissing her cheek. She wrapped her arm around his neck with a small smile. "Let's check that ankle," he told her.

He set her down on the couch and pulled the pantleg of her jeans up to see the swollen ankle. "It's definitely sprained at least, it's not black so I don't think it's broken," he added.

"You a doctor now too?" she quipped.

"Nah, an older brother of five kids," he replied.

Mina frowned a little as he went to get the ace bandages from her first aid kit in her bathroom. "Are you always babysitting?" she asked.

"Yeah, kinda, again I'm the oldest of five. My parents own that restaurant so they're always there for some reason or another," he replied as he propped her leg up on his knee.

She sat back against the arm of the couch. "It's like my siblings have three parents than just mom and dad, don't get me wrong our parents love us provide us with everything that we need, love included," he said with a grin.

"You have a huge heart, you know that?" she said suddenly, making him look up.

"Comes with the Rei Faun genes, babe," he answered as he got up, grabbing her phone.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Calling for pizza."

She smiled a little as he walked over, kissing her cheek. "Thanks, Mi for the thought," he told her before walking into the kitchen to make the call and to clean up her mess.

"See, Artemis? He's not so bad," she answered

"Neither was Michael, Rickie, Danny, Louis, Eli…" he started to say.

Mina threw her pillow at him with a glare.

Pizza arrived and the two of them lounged on her couch eating the dinner he had ordered, watching a movie. At one point, his fingers were tracing circles into her leg through her jeans making her look over at him. This guy was certainly different than her last few boyfriends, this one wasn't trying to get into her pants within the first few weeks of dating.

Realizing he was being watched, Kento looked over at her. "What's up?" he asked.

"Nothing," she replied, turning back to the television.

Frowning a little in confusion, he looked back at the movie. Mina suddenly leaned forward and kissed him, catching him off guard. Pulling back, she smiled at him. "Whoa, you could've told me you were gonna do that," he commented, making her laugh.

"It's better to surprise you," she answered.

"Well come here then," he told her, pulling her close.

Mina rested her hands on his shoulders as he pulled her in for another kiss, a smile on her face. This was the best date she ever had.

A few weeks later, the group of them decided on a beach day. Mina was in her room putting things into her beach bag. "Kento will be here any minute," she said with a sigh when she heard the knock on her apartment door, "Or now…" She hurried down the stairs, nearly tripping down the stairs in the process. Artemis let out a sigh, resting his paws on his head.

"I have never seen her so klutzy," he muttered.

Mina opened the door to reveal her boyfriend standing there. "Ready, babe?" he asked.

"You're early," she told him, poking her finger in his chest.

"We're going to the beach, didn't think you'd need that much time," he answered with a grin as he slid his sunglasses on top of his head.

Rolling her eyes, she let him in. "Let me grab my stuff," she answered. Kento leaned against the wall, looking around as Artemis walked down the stairs.

"How's it going, Artie?" he asked with a grin.

"Will you stop calling me that?" Artemis demanded.

Kento just smirked. "Nah, because one your reaction is hilarious because you can't say anything yet until she remembers," he answered, "By the way when is that going to happen?"

"I'm not sure, none of the other girls except Lita remember. How she remembered is beyond mine and Luna's understanding," Artemis replied.

The Warrior of Hardrock let out a sigh when Mina came down the stairs again. "I'm ready!" she announced.

"Is that a new swimsuit?" he asked.

She grinned. "Yep! You noticed," she answered, showing off the new orange bikini she had bought. She had a sarong around her waist and sandals. "So? What do you think?" she asked.

"I think you're trying to put your boyfriend in jail," he answered.

Immediately her hands were on her hips. "What does that mean?" she demanded.

"Means my girl's so hot that every guy at the beach is gonna hit on her in front of me," he answered.

Mina rolled her eyes. "Let's go," she told him. She gripped his hand as they left the house. Artemis shook his head slowly as he lied down on his cat bed.

"Good luck to him, now I can finally catch a few hours of sleep," he commented.

Arriving at the beach, Kento watched as his girlfriend removed the sarong. "Ah! So nice outside," she commented as she lied back on the beach blanket.

"Yep," he replied, shooting a glare at a guy who was letting his eyes sit on Mina a little longer than he wanted.

"Is that Cye and Ami?" Mina asked.

Looking out, Kento saw Cye trying to help Ami balance on a surf board. Rowen and Serena were at the snack bar where Serena was enjoying a sundae he had bought his girlfriend. Rowen had his arm draped around the back of Serena's chair as he was enjoying her company.

Ryo and Rei were not far from them lying back in the sun. Their hands were clasped together and were resting over Ryo's chest.

Sage and Lita were over by the volleyball area playing a game together. Every once in a while their hands would brush together in between plays.

It was a relaxing day, no Queen Beryl, Malakite, or evil minions. Kento liked this, meant he could be sixteen. He slid his sunglasses over his face when Mina suddenly rolled onto her stomach looking at him. "You seem deep in thought today," she commented.

"Huh? Oh, just liking the fact it's quiet today," she answered.

Mina rested her head on her hands. "Yeah, almost too quiet though," she commented, making him look at her. Kento frowned, looking at her as he lifted his sunglasses up as he sat up on his arms.

"You think something's coming?" he asked.

"I hope not," she replied, giving him a small smile.

Kento smiled back before he leaned forward and kissed her. She kissed him back before she moved over so she was resting her head on his chest and his arm moved around her back as they were relaxing under the beach umbrella.

The group reconnected around said beach umbrella. "Hey, guys, there's that new club for teens that opened up down the road by the diner, anyone game to try it out?" Sage asked as Lita sat in his lap.

"I'm game," she answered, "I would love to go dancing!"

"The beach and dancing? Oh! This is such an awesome day!" Serena said in a singsong voice as she wrapped her arms around Rowen's neck.

Rowen pressed a kiss to his girlfriend's cheek with a small grin. "Guys, shouldn't we try to prepare for our high school entrance exams?" Ami suggested.

"Oh, Ami, lighten up and have a little fun," Mina insisted.

"Yeah, we're only sixteen once," Rei pointed out as Ami flushed.

"Besides, you bought that new dress the other day with us, you should use it tonight," Lita answered.

Ami's cheeks turned even redder at Lita's words. "You got a new dress?" Cye asked.

"I—I didn't want to they said they liked it on me but," she stuttered.

Cye wrapped his arms around his girlfriend, making her smile and relax against him. "Sounds like fun," he told their friends.

"Great!" Serena said excitedly.

Rowen chuckled lightly. "My girl ladies and gentlemen," he commented when Serena rushed over to the snack bar to get another ice cream.

"You wouldn't have her any other way," Sage commented.

"Absolutely not," Rowen answered as he sat back in his chair.

Ami looked at Rowen's hand to see some scarring from the fire. "How's your wrist?" she asked. Rowen flexed his fingers, looking at the wrist.

"I can still shoot a bow and arrow," he replied.

"He's been doing the physical therapy his doctor's been telling him to do to take care of the injuries," Sage assured the future doctor.

Ami looked at his wrist. "You have feeling yet?" she asked.

"Yeah," he replied.

Ami smiled at her friend before moving besides Cye, his arm going around her waist.

As they were all goofing round and laughing when suddenly Ryo heard something over the radio. "Hey guys, listen to this," he called to them as he turned the radio up. They stopped what they were doing to listen to the radio.

"A robbery in Downtown Tokyo was stopped today by what people are calling her the Sailor Guardian of Love and Justice, Sailor Moon," the reporter called out.

The others looked at Serena. "What are you looking at me for? I've been right here," she insisted.

"We obviously don't have two Sailor Moons, one's obviously and imposter," Sage commented as he draped his arm over the back of Lita's chair.

"What should we do?" Ami asked.

"Get the imposter," Rowen answered.

"Has anyone seen where Mina and Kento ran off to?" Cye asked.

They looked around, frowning. "Where did they go?" Rowen asked.

Kento and Mina were running through the city towards where this other Sailor Moon was. "Ready?" she asked.

"Absolutely," he answered, "Ladies first!"

He lifted Mina up by her waist, tossing her into the air. "VENUS POWER!" she shouted.

"ARMOR OF HARDROCK! TAO GI!" Kento shouted.

Kento saw the imposter jumping from building to building. "Over there!" He called out to Venus as they started chasing her.

The imposter stopped running, turning back to the two of them. "Who are you?" Venus demanded.

"The better question is, who are you?" she asked, looking at the two of them.

"You can call me Kento of Hardrock, Justice is my reward!" he answered, holding up his bo.

"And I'm Sailor Venus, the Guardian of Love and Beauty! On behalf of Venus, I will punish you," Sailor Venus declared.

"Not another two," she snarled.

Kento glared at her. "Who are you?" he demanded.

"The servant of the true ruler of your world is all you need to know!" she answered.

Venus glared. "Beryl," Kento snarled, "Where is your Queen? Have her face us!"

"My Queen has more important things to take care of than fight you," she answered.

Venus ran at her full force when the imposter grabbed her, lifting her up and throwing her as if she were nothing. "VENUS!" Kento shouted, catching her before she plummeted to her death. The imposter took off running while Kento was pulling Venus back up and into his arms.

On the docks, Malakite and his new protégé, who was the imposter, trapped the group in a force field of some sort. Sage took his sword, trying to slash the sphere when all it did was throw him backwards. "SAGE!" Jupiter shouted, rushing over to him.

"It's closing in on us!" Ryo exclaimed when they saw that the sphere was getting smaller.

Malakite cackled as he watched them struggle to try to find a way out. "Soon, there will be nothing left," he said laughing, "Queen Beryl will be so pleased!"

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!" a voice shouted, hitting the sphere which made it stop shrinking.

They looked up to see Sailor Venus standing there. "Mina?!" Sailor Moon exclaimed.

"Hang on guys this is going to be a bumpy ride!" Kento called out.

He swung his bo around his head. "IRON ROCK CRUSHER!" he shouted.

"Jump when the attack reaches you!" Sailor Venus called out.

The crack in the ground raced towards them. "We'll only have one shot!" Rowen exclaimed as he grabbed Sailor Moon's waist. Just as the attack reached the sphere, it destroyed it easily and at the same time they jumped out of the way before the ground came out from under them.

Malakite snarled as he jumped down, landing in front of Kento. "So, Kento of Hardrock, we finally meet," he said with a glare as he circled the Warrior of Hardrock.

"Glad I made an impression on a person I never met," Kento answered sarcastically as he kept his guard up.

Malakite pulled out his sword, attacking Kento head on with it. Holding up his staff-like weapon, Kento blocked the attack but smirked as his staff came apart and the chain wrapped around the blade. Pulling with his full weight, he lifted the enemy of the ground and over his head. "Let's get out of here," Malakite snarled, "We're outnumbered." He glared at the teenagers in front of him. "You may have defeated me this time, but you won't be able to keep off Queen Beryl for long!" Then they both disappeared.

"When did this happen?" Sailor Jupiter asked.

"About two months ago, Artemis handed me my wand and he told us not to do anything about revealing ourselves until the time was right," Sailor Venus replied.

"I guess it's five and five then," Cye commented.

"Queen Beryl won't know what hit her," Kento answered with a smirk as he held his girlfriend to him.

Walking Mina home, Kento's head was throbbing a little. "You okay?" she asked.

"Huh? Yeah, just a headache probably from using the armor like that for the first time," he replied.

Mina was still concerned, resting her hands on his arms. "You'll tell me if something's wrong right?" she asked.

"Of course," he replied.

He kissed her lightly, but then Mina let out a gasp jerking away. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing….uh…my head's hurting too, I'll see you later babe," she answered before running inside.

Kento watched her go, rubbing the back of his neck as he walked back to his house.

Mina was about to head upstairs when her head started throbbing more than ever. She leaned against the wall and held her head in her hands with a moan. "Mina, what's wrong?" Artemis asked.

Mina let out a gasp, she saw everything! Her parents in the Venus Kingdom, Queen Serenity taking her to the Moon to train as a Sailor Scout. She saw herself growing up with her friends in the Moon Kingdom. She then saw him, Kento! No…Shu! It was Shu! She saw how they fell in love, their nights watching the Earth on their hill. Their bond forming when their hands touched. Then she remembered how they combined their powers, destroying half of Queen Beryl's army. She remembered the feel of his arms around her as they plummeted to their deaths.

Getting up, Mina looked towards the door. "Oh, I hope he's not too far!" she exclaimed. Throwing the door open, she ran down the stairs and back towards where Kento had gone. "KENTO!" she shouted.

Kento was heading back towards the bus stop. "KENTO!" he heard Mina shout, making him stop. He turned around as Mina ran towards him. She ran over to him, throwing her arms around him. The force was so fast and hard that it nearly knocked him off his feet.

"Whoa miss me already?" he asked laughing as he held onto her.

"I remember!" she answered, looking up at him, "I remember everything."

It took him a minute, but then he stared at her. "Really? You remember?" he asked. She nodded with tears in her eyes.

"Everything, the Moon Kingdom, our bond," she answered.

Before she could say anything he kissed her deeply, his arms around her waist. He lifted her up off the ground, swinging her around in circles as she laughed, clinging to him. "I love you," he told her. She held him tightly with a smile on her face.

"I love you," she answered.
