Me- I'm back
Mai- Can you tell me where Naru is?
Me- Closet
Masako- When am I going to show up
Me- One of the last cases, maybe the next with I feel like it.
Mai- What is the next one.
Me- Ghost in the park
Mai- But she was the reason Naru took it.
Me- Fine, she can be in the next one, but not the one after that
Mai- Thanks, can Naru come out of the closet.
Me- No
Gene- Brittany doesn't own Ghost Hunt
Me- Don't know if I should be happy or sad about that.
Monk
When the family left for the day, the bad feeling came back. More to the fact that Airi was still sleeping, Mai telling us that she stayed up to late going over the information. Now something doesn't feel right here. But Mai would never rat out Airi, like Airi would never rat out Mai.
Twins, what can you do about it.
I was in Ayami's room at the moment.
"Ready, Monk." Mai said.
"Yes." Looking at the camera with the thumbs up.
Mai
I felt bad about lying I really did, but it needed to be done.
Mai- Airi are you ready
Airi- When Monk goes into the living room.
Mai- Why the living room
Airi- Trust me
Mai- Really
Airi- You're the only person I can't lie to
"Naru, the living room." I said, pointing at the screen. Ghosts of children were coming out of the floor, and there were a lot of them.
"Below freezing?" Gene shouted.
"Monk you're in the wrong room." Naru told Monk.
I watched as Monk ran to the living room, the children were screaming and I don't think Gene could take any more of it.
"Why is it so freezing in here! Hey don't come near me." Monk shouted as he entered the freezing cold room, most of bean it's under zero in there.
Monk started his pray, but I was looking at the spot on the floor.
Airi- Mai, I'm going in.
Mai- Good luck sis.
"My child, my child."
Airi
It was time for me to go for a jog, I thought as I put on truckie pants and top, followed by hoody and running shoes. I had to ran at my fastest.
If what Mai told me last night was true than all I had to do was make it to the forest and I'll be fine and luck was on my side this time as the forest wasn't that far from the house.
Airi- Mai, thank you sis.
Mai- Don't worry, I've started putting up a weak force field here.
Airi- Good, he won't notice until it's too late.
Monk
I turned around to see a women staring at me, so she must be the one behind this, holding up my pray beads and about to start my chant, I saw Airi running past the door, but so did the women.
With a violent screech, she was after Airi faster than a bullet train.
"Naru, we have a problem." I shouted
"I know." He said
"Do something."
"We can't."
"Why not." I shouted, but I found out moments later, as I tried to open the door something was blocking it.
"Force field."
Mai
I put more energy into the force field as Airi ran past the door, of course Lin and Gene tried opening the door, but they couldn't.
"The hell." Gene shouted
"Don't worry Airi will be fine." I told them
"How can you be so sure?" He asked.
"That's easy, I'm her twin and I know for a fact that Airi and I can play any sport any the sun, Airi better than I can." I told Gene.
"You knew this was going to happen." Naru snapped
"No, not really." I told him, of course I was lying to him, but he didn't need to know that besides Airi and I planned this last night, also Airi would be able to talk her way out of this. She's done it the past she can do it now.
Airi
I ran past the door, and saw that the crazy lady was hot on my heels. Running out of the house and into the forest.
Sadly, I had to run at top speeds, but funny enough the lady was canna slow. Tomiko was on the other side of the pond.
When I reached her, the lady was still running towards him.
"Mummy." Tomiko shouted.
"Tomiko." The lady shouted running up to her long lost daughter. But when I looked behind her I saw that there were a lot of children's sprits, and I mean a lot of them.
When the family finally hugged each other, they were wrapped in a warm glow and then the crying children were, laughter rang out into the forest and I was glad I did this, now all I have to do was think of a convincing lie.
Airi- You can let down the force fields.
Mai- Of course
Mai
I was so happy when Airi told me that I could let down the force fields, I get it if I let it down now, then they would think that the ghost did it.
Wise ass
Airi- Why thank you sis.
With the force fields down, we ran outside to see Airi laughing at the other side of the river, golden light surrounding her.
"Hey, Mai get your ass over here." She shouted
"Most be the shock." Ayako said.
Running over to my sister and giving her a hug, well it didn't last.
The two ghost how were reunited, looked at us and said "Thank you and sorry Airi."
"It's cool, it's the first time this happened and it won't be the last." Airi said.
Before anyone else made it over the case was over, the spirits had moved on.
Gene
That scared the living hell out of all us. After the spirits of the house left, we went back to the living room, we had to ask Airi and Mai questions before the family came back and ask us why we were yelling at fifteen year old girls.
"Okay, what was that about?" Naru asked
"What about?" Airi asked
"You running in front of the living room door?" He demanded.
"I was planning to go out for a jog, or is that against the law now." Airi told him.
"You told me tomorrow was going to be fun." Monk said as he pointed his finger at Airi.
"I did, well I think that getting chased by a mad women is always fun." Airi said.
"Sad, part she's not lying." Mai sighed shaking her head.
"Gang fights are even more fun, but when I said that I meant finding one of the routes in the forests for a nice jog." Airi said, it looked as if she was disappointed that it didn't happen
"If you need us, we'll be packing."
After the two had left and gone up doors.
"Do you think they're lying?" Ayako asked
"I don't know; Airi can lie, but Mai can't really do so, in fact I think I've never got either of them lying to me." Monk said
"Then how do you know Airi can lie?" I asked
"Easy, she's had to do it too get out of sticky situations, so she's told me, but no I've never seen Airi or Mai lie." Monk said, while shaking his head.
"So there's a change they knew what they were doing." Lin said.
"Yes." Ayako "Cause Airi told me the same thing she told Monk, but then again Airi likes to jog."
"So, we'll never know." Monk said.
Mai
"So, Airi?" I asked as we were packing our stuff.
"Yes, Mai." Airi replied, hearing Ayako coming up the stirs we went to our other form of communion.
Mai- Did they believe you
Airi- For the most part, but they can't prove otherwise
Mai- That's good
Airi- But we must be careful from now on.
Airi
After telling the clients that that the ghost was gone, we entered a conversation with them.
"Truly… thank you so very much. My brother said… he's coming back to the house as fast as he can."
"I'm glad." Mai told her
"Well. Do you think everything we'll be okay?" She asked
"You don't have to worry about anything; I trust my brother and he said they're all gone." Naru told her.
"Mai-chan, Airi-chan." Ayami said walking to the two of us "Will you come visit again."
"Sure, if you invite me over, I'd more than happy to come." Mai told her, as I wrote our phone number on a piece of paper.
"Here, in case anything goes wrong." I told her, handing her the piece of paper.
"I promise." Mai said, giving her the pinkie promise.
Going to the cars we waved good-bye.
Guess that's our first real case: Close.
Authors Note:
Me- I want to thank Kagome Pureheart for telling me the cold harsh truth, the first few chapters suck. I know, but back then I really didn't think any of my writing was of any good and that showed. That and I hope my writing as improved since I was in year 10, it would suck if I didn't improve from Year 10, now that I'm Year 11, one more year of this hellhole. Then add another fours years in Uni.
