Continuing from last chapter...

Danny looked up from the TV when Jackson walked back into the room. "Hey." He says. "You've been gone for a while, is everything okay?"

"Yeah everything is fine." Jackson replied sitting back down. The space between was larger then it was the first time he got up.

Danny could tell that Jackson was nervous, even more nervous then he was.

"So what was your parents reaction when you told them that you were gay?" Jackson asked. Danny looks over at him. "Why do you want to know that?"

Head down Jackson shrugged. "Just curious I guess."

"My mom took it a lot better then my dad did." Danny says turning to face Jackson.

Jackson nodded. "When did you first know that you were gay?" He asked.

"I guess I've always had thoughts but when I joined the team I knew for sure." Danny says. "I swear I never looked but being in a locker room with a lot of sweaty guys really does stuff for you."

Jackson smiled. "Yeah I know the feeling."

"I had a feeling but I never thought for sure that you were really gay." Danny says. "The way you act in school had me thinking that you were straight."

Jackson smiled. "I've known that I was gay for years now but I've never acted on anything. The fear of my dad finding out has kept me from being who I want to be."

Danny started biting his lip. "So all this time you've been pretending?"

Jackson nodded. "Yeah and I've hated every minute of it."

Suddenly Danny smiled. "You remember asking me about the other person I had a crush on?"

"Is it anyone I know?" Jackson asked, noticing how close they were. Danny responded by pressing his lips against his. That kiss was then interrupted by a deep voice. Jackson pulled away from Danny to see his father standing by the TV. "Dad?"

"What the hell is this?" Mr. Whittemore says.

"It's not what you think." Jackson starts to say getting up.

"I think it's exactly what I think it is." Mr. Whittemore replies.

Danny looks from Jackson to the older male. "Um maybe I should go." Picking up his jacket he headed for the door. Although he was now outside he could hear Jackson arguing and yelling with his father. He really didn't want to leave but he didn't think he should have stayed so he just went home.

Monday Morning

Danny had been nervous all weekend because he couldn't get a hold of Jackson. So when he got to school he was hoping to find him but instead he found Derek standing by Jackson's locker. "Hey Derek, can I talk to you for a minute?"

Derek sighed. "Look if this is about Stiles then I don't want to hear it."

"It's not." Replied Danny. "I was wondering if you had heard anything from Jackson? I've been trying to reach him all weekend but I couldn't."

"Me either." Derek says pushing himself off the locker. "What happened the last time you saw him?"

Danny shrugged. "His dad walked in on us kissing and freaked out. On my way out I could hear them screaming at each other. Do you think that something is wrong?"

"I hope not." Derek says. "Anyway I have to go, I'll see you later!" He yelled running off. He left the school and drove right to Jackson's place. Getting out of his car he started knocking on the front door but there was no answer. Groaning he went around back and used the spare key under the mat to go inside. He heard the TV blaring and found Jackson asleep on the couch. After turning down the TV he walked over to him and saw the bruise under his eye, he woke him up. "Hey!"

Jackson started groaning as he turned away from Derek's deep voice. "Go away."

"What the hell happened to your face?" Derek snapped.

"I don't want to talk about it." Replied Jackson.

Derek went to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of peas before going back to the living room. "Come on, get up." He said sitting on the table across from Jackson.

Reluctantly Jackson sat up but didn't look at him. "Why are you even here?" He said taking the bag from him and putting it on his eye.

"Danny said that he's been trying to get in contact with you all weekend and since I have too I came to make sure that you were okay." Derek moved next to Jackson on the couch. "He told me that your dad walked in on you two."

"He started calling me names." Jackson whispered. "I mean I've always known that he was a little homophobic but I'm his son, it shouldn't matter what I am."

Derek nodded. "Did he hit you?"

"It's never happened before." Jackson says. "I mean yeah we fought a lot but it's never ended like this. He apologized right after he did it but I just walked away. I haven't spoken to him since Friday but on the bright side at least my mom called to check in on me."

"Wow." Derek says. "So what are you going to do now?"

"Nothing." Jackson replies.

"What do you mean?" Asked Derek.

"I mean what happened with Danny can never happen again." Jackson looked over at Derek. "You wouldn't believe all the horrible things he said to me that night."

"So your just going to stop being who you want just so your father will be happy?" Derek snapped.

"No I'm just not going to act on those feelings anymore." Jackson says. "If I lose them then I'll be alone."

"Look you know that whatever happens I'll be here for you, right?" Derek asked.

Jackson slightly smiled. "I know but can we please talk about something else?"

"Fine." Derek says sitting back. "But I think you should talk to Danny because he's worried about you. Can you at least do that?"

"Yeah." Jackson replied. "Hey do you think that I can stay at your place for a few days?"

"Sure." Derek says. "When do you want to leave?"

"Now, I have to get out of this house for a while." Getting up he headed upstairs to his room. As soon as he got there his phone rang and he saw that it was Danny. Sitting on his bed he answered it. "Hey Danny."

"Hey." Replies Danny. "I'm sorry about that night."

"That wasn't your fault." Jackson says. "My dad has always been that way and I'm sorry for not speaking to you all weekend."

"Are you okay?" Danny asked.

"Yeah, I just have a lot of stuff on my mind right now. I'm sorry Danny but I can't...I can't talk right now."

"Okay." Danny says. "Will you be in school tomorrow."

"Yeah I'll be there." Jackson says rubbing his face. Somehow he couldn't break it off with Danny.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye." Jackson hung up his cellphone and sat it on the bed. He didn't know what to do about his dad but he didn't want to stop talking to Danny.

Later that night

Derek was leaning against his headboard flipping through his TV while Jackson laid on his stomach on the foot of the bed. "So you're going to keep things going with Danny?"

"Yeah." Jackson says. "I guess I'll have to keep my personal life away from home."

"And how long are you going to keep that up?" Derek asks. "I mean you can't keep that up forever."

"I know that Derek, I'm not an idiot." He snapped. "I'll just give my parents some space and when they want to talk I'll be here."

"Well I'm sorry for what you going through." Derek replies.

"Thanks." Jackson says. "And I'm sorry if I messed up your plans with Stiles."

"It's alright." Derek says. "I told him what was going on with you and he understands. I just didn't want to leave you alone." "I don't know what I would do without you." Jackson says in a low voice.

"Me either." Replied Derek. "And I hope everything works out with your parents."

Jackson sighed. "Yeah I hope so too."
