Benjamin call was woken by his phone ringing at three am. He stirred and answered it. "hello?" he said tiredly.
"Grandfather. Its Embry. Listen I need your help."
Benjamin call sucked in a fast breathe. "how dare you call this number bastard!" he couldn't believe the shame of the family was calling him and at this late hour. He had made sure to exile his daughter and her bastard spawn from ever contacting him yet here he was.
"Listen, I know you hate my mother for her choices but that's not the focus right now! my mate- uh girlfriend she's been injured, and I need you! You're the only one who can help her! you're a shaman, aren't you! You know about vampires and wolves! A vampire sexual assaulted her! now she's bleeding out and it won't stop. Please grandfather! I need your help! .. I can't live without her.."
Benjamin was silent. He could feel the atmosphere shift. This was no ordinary plea. "Tell me your location and ill be there." Of course, he wasn't going to go alone. Benjamin call had to get his sons together. This…was a family affair.
Carlisle Cullen and the pack of wolves were lost. The scent they had been chasing was long gone. It was now five in the morning and everyone was exhausted. Carlisle was mentally fatigued. Sam had decided for everyone go home. They still had the newborn battle to train for within the coming weeks.
Sam and Carlisle promised to touch bases and the next few hours. He made sure to give same a prescription medicine for Charlie swan's foot and headed home. Of course, as soon as he stepped through the door he was bombarded by questions from Edward and Alice.
"Quiet!" he hissed. By now, everyone was waiting in the living room for him to speak. "Charlie is on the reservation resting as we speak. I had to give him pain killers. And no Edward there is no update on Bella, Edward. I don't know where she is. The wolf pack and I lost her. All we know is that a nurse on the reservation had checked over her and found bleeding that wouldn't stop. One of the wolves took Bella and now we don't know where she is."
Of course, Edward stormed out of the house. Carlisle didn't bother to go after him. Edward wouldn't find anything, and Alice wouldn't see anything.
"So Bella is injured and has been kidnapped by a wolf? -What are we going to do? Are we sure the wolves didn't come up with this plan?" Emmet asked
"We don't do anything right now. I suggest you all go hunt. We have to train with the wolves in six hours and we are also going to patrol around forks." Carlisle said as he went to his study.
"Carlisle why are we doing this! This isn't our fight!" Rosalie hissed.
"Enough rose. Enough." Carlisle said wearily as he sped away to his study, Esme a few feet behind him.
Embry call wept tears of joy when he saw his grandfather standing at the cabin they had rented. It was a beachfront cabin with everything they needed. He quickly scooped Bella up and ran inside the cabin where his grandfather was waiting. Embry stopped however when he saw his uncle ollie, his uncle Ronny and his grandmother Teresa.
"its ok, embry, bring her in here."
Embry shook off his fear and did as told. However as soon as he put Bella on the bed, he blacked out.
Ollie call was quick to catch his nephew. He had dark circles under his eyes and so did Bella. "quickly lay him down next to her ollie. Ronny light the candles. Teresa get the herbs." Benjamin instructed. They did as told and Benjamin looked over Bella's injuries. Her throat and shoulders had bruises and their was blood coming from her inner thighs. Embry had mentioned vampire and sexual assault. So he knew what had happened. "Her hymens been broken and from the bruises are her inner thigh the cold one broke through. Teresa bring me the white willow. We will need to wrap her inner thighs and her vaginal area with it. Teresa ill need you to apply the herbal ointment to her vaginal area. It will heal the tear. Ollie put embry's hand in hers. No wonder he called us. Their venom inside of her. The herbs will absorb it all though."
After Benjamin chanted and prayed over the couple. The four adults sat down as they watched over them. Ollie however was upset, and he was going to speak his mind. "Why now dad? You exiled tiffany, didn't want to be a part of embry's life but now your willing to help him? Why?"
Benjamin ran his fingers through his long gray hair and looked over at his unconscious grandson.
"The love that that boy has for this girl. A love so strong that he was willing to call me. It showed me. I was wrong. But tiffany being pregnant with embry wasn't the reason I exiled her. it was because who embry father is that I had to exile her. I had no choice. In order to protect her and embry. I had to."
Ollie and Ronnie chocked. "you know who Embry's father is? Are you serious! Dad why didn't you say anything!" ollie said
"I couldn't! I had to protect your sister and embry! Our tribes would have gone to war! You know how tribe politics works. I would not allow that to tear us apart!"
"So, you cut off all communication with tiffany! Mom did you know about this!?" Ronnie asked
"Stop acting like your innocent Ronnie. You cur ties with your sister too. The only one who didn't was ollie. And yes, I knew. We had to do what was best for your sister and embry. Hiding the truth was."
Benjamin put his hand up to silence his children and wife. "I'm not so sure that hiding the truth was right anymore. But that is not what matters now. embry and this young girl are mates. The spirits have shown me. We need to let them rest in quiet and we will handle all the drama later."
