The wheels of a town car went slickly down the street toward the high school. Walter puffed out smoke from his cigarette stopping at a red light. He reached over and grabbed a coke from the drink holder and gulped it down, turning the can toward Ellen.
"Want some?" she knocked his hand away.
"No I'm not thirsty." Ellen sat in the passenger seat arms folded over her chest looking out over London as they drove to the high school. She had been like that since they left Hellsing headquarters. Alucard had opted out of the ride and decided to find his way on his own. Ellen didn't care what he did.
"Aye you and Alucard having a fight or something?
"Why would we be having a fight? He's a sadistic arrogant monster that feeds off of fear and regret and is a stain on humanity."
Walter blew a puff of smoke. "Yeah so"
"So? He's a monster! He may be all powerful but he is also a menace to society. And weather this has anything to do with it, he is hiding something, and it has to do with me."
Walter honked his horn at a pedestrian J walking "Hey asshole get out the way!" he put out his cigarette and turned to Ellen.
"Alucard is an ancient being. He's not just something you can explain or dissect in a couple of words. He's full of secrets. The fact that you may or may not have something to do with him is not a coincidence" Ellen turned to Walter.
"When you and Alucard worked together all those years ago, how was he or she for that matter. You said he looked liked me." Walter hit the breaks on the car and stopped short at a red light.
"We were never friends, just two people who had the same enemy." he gripped the stirring wheel tightly, the leather sliding over his fingers.
"I don't believe you. You were together fighting the Nazi's for 4 years and continued to work together after the war up until now. You must know something." Walter lit another cigarette.
"I can't help you. As I said before Alucard is a being full of secrets. God knows what he is hiding. Shape and form doesn't mean anything to him, in fact he mocks his own immortality by wearing the clothes of the one who was his first master."
"Who was his first master?" Walter puffed smoke from his nostrils as he rounded a corner to the green of the high school.
"Abraham Van Hellsing" Ellen eye bore a bright red her back hit the side of the window as Walter hit the breaks on the car. She looked over to Walter, he had a scowl on his face.
"Walter, the hell..." She looked forward at the red coat and orange glasses looking in a kaleidoscope of images from the broken windshield.
"Speak of the devil" Alucard walked over towards Ellen's passenger door and opened it silently.
"your late" Ellen stepped out and brushed past him. Walter walked over and dropped the coke can and put out the cigarette. Alucard looked over his shoulder.
"You talk to much" Walter pulled on his gloves.
"What am I suppose to do. She asked questions." Walter walked over towards the entrance of the football field. Alucard turned toward the car and noticed the red ring on Ellen's finger had fell off. He picked it up and examined it.
"You have been bested count" Alucard breathed a stiff smoke from his lips. He vanished in a mass of shadows.
"I don't know why we have to walk while Ellen gets to take a town car like she's royalty" Willows tripped on a twig as she and Catherine walked behind Seras to the back part of the lake towards the field. Seras hostled her gun over her shoulder.
"Because we are supposed to be on the offense" Seras looked over as Willow brushed mulch off her uniform. "Whatever I'm just saying I would have rather taken a car" Catherine poked Seras in the arm.
"Is that gun not heavy to you?" Seras smirked. "No its as light as a feather"
Willow went and sat on a rock "So why did Alucard change you, don't mean to take offend but you don't seem as his type" Seras leaned against the tree.
"I don't know really. He once told Walter he was in a state of whimsy, but I doubt that. Master make calculations about everything." Catherine sat on some cold moss.
"Maybe you remind him of someone in his past I mean a 550 year old vampire is bound to have seen people come and go" Seras sighed.
"Maybe." A loud explosion echoed over the lake making ripples in the water. Seras got on attention.
"Target located! Lets go!" Seras ran across the water her feet barely touching the surface. Leaving small ripples in her wake. Catherine stood dumbfounded.
"she left us" she jumped in a canoe and paddled out. Willowed jumped over the edge and picked up an oar.
"We are undead we should be able to move faster than this" Willow closed her eyes and felt sharp pangs as wings materialized out her back. She waved her wings fancily as the boat moved at lighting speed. Her and Catherine hair blowing in the wind.
"Way to go Willow! The boat begin to reach the other shore when a body jumped out the water and tackled Willow in the lake. Stopping short Catherine hit her head on the edge and her world turned to dark
Ellen rounded the corner of the football field gun pointed toward the darkness. When did she become a gun wielding agent anyways. She wasn't even for gun violence in school.
"A little to late for that don't you think?" Ellen dropped her gun in a fright
"get out of my head Alucard. I'm in no mood" Alucard chuckled
"Kill the rouge Vampires in front of you. In fact you surrounded" Ellen turned around in circles gun pointing in all directions
"This is your fault you killed Jake and turned him into a vampire!" Alucard appeared beside her.
"I did no such thing. Why would I make that boy into a vampire. This entire situation is a trap to get that girl Willow. Ellen turned towards him.
"Willow? She's in danger? Why didn't you say something" Alucard removed his glasses.
"She has nothing to do with me. In fact she belongs to a different world. That captain wont stop until he has her. Ellen turned to a twig snap to see Walter.
"Calm down girlycard I'm just following up. We are surrounded by the way. Ellen's eye twitched.
"I know!" She picked up the gun again. "I'm going to find Willow and Catherine and get the fuck out of here and I am waking up from this week long nightmare." She ran off into the fog.
"When are you going to stop torturing that girl and get on with the show count." Alucard looked at Walter lighting his cigarette.
"This is how the show must play out." Walter noticed his right land was bear. The runes burned onto his flesh but what fascinated him was the red ring on his finger.
"And I thought you had been bested count" Walter pointed towards his hand.
Alucards smirked.
Willow coughed up water and looked into a set of grey eyes.
"Jake what the fuck?"
"Shuuuu soon he will be here"
"Who?"
"The captain"
