***Thanks for the reviews guys, I am trying to update at least once a week with this one.***

When Ashley agreed to get Jax's crow he was thrilled. Finally he would stop all the questions and drama with his family and club and could hopefully focus on more important things like catching that piece of shit who attacked her. Once your old lady had your crow, she was family and they just had to accept it. Plus in some strange way it made him feel like she was more protected, and that was something he was struggling with since that night.

They had had a great day together and she was doing better than he expected at Fuzzy's. He thought for sure he would need to hold her hand through the whole thing, but her tolerance for pain was pretty high. Fuzzy had almost finished the outline of her crow when Unser called him.

"Yeah," He answered.

"Jax, I've got a situation here, is Ashley with you?" Unser sounded winded as he tried to get out his words.

"Yeah she's with me now," He answered him.

"It's her mom, Jax. There's been an accident and it's pretty bad. I'm going to need you to come down to the station." Jax got up and walked towards the front, not wanting Ashley to hear his conversation.

"Is she ok?"

"She's fine, drunk as hell though," Unser told him. Jax sighed and pushed the front door open, "But she hit another car and did some pretty heavy damage."

"Ugh," Jax groaned as he rubbed his face and took out a cigarette, lighting it up. He knew Ashley would blame herself for this and she really didn't need anything else on her plate at this point, "Un fucking believable."

"It's bad Jax, I got three people in an ambulance heading to St. Thomas now and I have to take her in. I really don't see any way that I can stop this from happening."

"This is really the worst fucking timing for this shit."

"I know, trust me. What's left of her car is being impounded. But can you come down? I'm not sure if they will release her or not. The paramedics have already treated her on the scene for minor cuts and she's fine."

"You need me to come down to the station?"

"Yes, she's in the back of my car and I'm about to head over there now."

Jax wasn't exactly sure how to handle this shit. Maybe he could call Gemma and have her go down. He really didn't want to tell Ashley but she would be angrier if he didn't. Either way he was going to call his Mom and let her know, she could help him somehow he was sure.

"Alright, I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Ok Jax, if anything happens I'll let you know."

Jax went back inside, knowing they better leave right away. As much as he wanted to protect Ashley from this news he knew it was the wrong move. He walked into the room where Fuzzy and Ashley were and could see she was wondering what was going on. He couldn't stand to look at her yet.

"Fuzzy, sorry to cut this short but we have to get out of here."

"OK man, no problem, we can finish whenever. Let me just put something on it." His old friend answered him.

He flipped his phone back open and started back outside, needing to call his mom right away. Maybe he could drop Ashley off with her so that he could handle this Lorraine shit alone. He could imagine the scene at the station if he brought Ashley with him. Plus his mom had been pretty good at comforting her, while he was better at taking care of the problems.

"Hey baby," His mom answered the phone.

"Ma, Unser just called and Lorraine was drunk and hit a car full of people. He's bringing her in right now."

"Shit, does Ashley know?"

"Not yet, but I have to tell her now."

"What do you need me to do baby?"

"I'm going to drop her off on my way down. Can you just watch her? She's probably going to be pretty messed up."

"Yeah definitely. I can't believe this bullshit. Do you think it's because of your fight?"

Shit. He forgot about that. "She's probably using what happened to Ashley as her excuse."

"She definitely will, poor Ashley."

He could see Ashley coming to the front out of the corner of his eye. "Ok Ma, I gotta go." He said and quickly hung up. He didn't want to look up but he could feel her staring at him, waiting for information. He looked up at her, not wanting to actually tell her.

"Jax, what's going on?" She asked, concern written all over her face.

"It's your mom."

"My mom? Why what…is she ok?" She asked, coming over and looking like she was already breaking down.

"She's drunk Ashley."

"Are you serious? Oh my God, I had a feeling she would do this. But why…why do you look like…" She just stood there, trying to figure out what was going on.

"She was driving and hit another car. Unser called and said he has to take her in." He tried to leave the part out about the ambulance.

"She hit someone? Are they ok? She didn't kill anyone right?"

So much for that… "No, they are taking them to St. Thomas just to be checked out. Your mom was also checked out but she's fine." He lied but he had to, she couldn't handle all this information at once.

"Them? So it was more than one person?" He just stared at her, letting it sink in, "So can you take me down there?" She asked him, her eyes wide and serious. There was no way in hell he was letting that happen.

"Ash, I'll go down there, you can stay with my mom…"

"No way Jax, this is my problem to deal with."

"Babe, you have enough to deal with right now, I'm not letting you go down there."

"If you're not going to take me, I will just walk," God he hated when she was stubborn like this, he had no choice but to do what he had to to make sure she didn't go there.

"Ok let me just make one phone call and then I'll take you."

"Ok."

He walked a little ways away from her, knowing she could still overhear anything he was going to say.

"Yeah baby, what's going on?"

"I need you to meet me at the clubhouse."

"Ok I'll go there now."

He hung up and turned to Ashley who was clearly distressed. "Ok let's go." She hopped on behind him and he headed straight for the clubhouse.

As he got closer and she figured out that he had taken a detour he could feel her hands gripping his stomach tighter. He tried not to acknowledge anything and just kept going.

"Jax!" She shouted over the engine of the bike. He still pretended he didn't hear anything. "Jax! Jax! Why are we going this way?" He still didn't respond and she pinched his stomach, shit she was determined. He pushed her hands down so that she wouldn't pinch him again.

"Jax, just stop, stop! I'm walking!" He ignored her and was relieved to see Teller Morrow coming close quickly. He pulled into the parking lot and knew he was going to have to deal with one pissed off girlfriend but it was better this way.

He was happy to see that his mom's car was already there and she was probably already inside the clubhouse. He parked and Ashley jumped off, tearing off towards the road. She was going to fight him every step of the way. He came up behind her and grabbed her shirt, trying to get her to stop.

"Don't touch me Jax, I can't believe you aren't letting me go down there."

"You need to stop Ashley."

She turned around and started her trek again, only this time he jogged until he was in front of her and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder.

"Put me down!"

"I can't believe you're making me do this." He carried her all the way until they were safely behind the clubhouse doors, and then he still carried her all the way to his room, passing his mother on his way who he heard mumble "Holy shit." Ashley had basically given up and he was glad. He couldn't imagine walking that whole way with her kicking and squirming.

He put her down in his room and stuck his head out the door, calling to any prospect who would listen.

"Jax…" She was trying her sweet approach, but he wouldn't fall for it this time.

"Ashley, I'll be back as soon as I can."

"Please Jax, she needs me. It was probably what happened to me that drove her to drink. She's worried…."

"You're staying here, my mom will stay with you. I've got to go but I'll be back soon." He tried to kiss her but she pulled back from him, shit. He went into the hallway and closed the door behind him, Gemma was already waiting outside. "Thanks Ma."

"Anything you need."

"I'll keep you posted." He went to leave, calling out to the prospect on his way to make sure she didn't leave, no matter what. He knew she wasn't getting out of there.

When he got to the station he could tell just how drunk she was from all the way in the parking lot. She was her screaming irate drunk self and he knew this was only going to go badly. He walked inside and Unser spotted him right away, extremely relieved to see him.

"Oh Jax am I glad to see you." Unser's face looked stressed.

Jax huffed out a short laugh, "Yeah I'm sure. So what's going on?"

"Is that him? Is that the son of a bitch who got my daughter raped?!"

You have to be fucking kidding me, "You can't stick her in a holding cell?"

"They have to finish booking her first."

"So they're booking her?"

"Yeah, two of the passengers are in critical condition."

"Shit."

"It's all your fault! I will live for nothing except to keep her away from you!" She was pissing him off now. All he needed was for her to get in Ashley's ear with this bullshit. He tried his best not to respond to her bitching.

"So what do you need from me?"

"I didn't know it was going down like this, if she was getting released I would have let her leave with you."

"So you don't need me then? Is she staying here for the night?"

"They might move her over night but I'm not positive. I'll let you know."

"Ok then I'm going to get out of here." Jax turned and headed for the door. As he left he could still hear her screaming. And for the first time since he saw Ashley again, he thought about how much better her life would be if she could get away from Charming.
