When Sonny meets with his parents that evening, he's wired with nervous energy. He cannot stay seated and is rambling.

At first, Justin and Adrienne think it's cute. His stories about his travels are interesting. However, when he starts expounding at length on everything he loves about Will, they start getting concerned (and a trifle embarrassed). Victor has a large mug of hot cocoa made for Sonny that is spiked with rum.

Finally in bed, Sonny falls quickly asleep. He dreams of wedded bliss for the rest of his life with Will.

Sonny wakes up the next morning so happy. He picks up is phone and is touched to find a text from Will.

-You'll be relieved to know that I can't sleep alone in our bed and nervousness has set in. I used all my extra time to write out and send in my article. I'm about to take my morning run. See you at the altar, My Heart. All my love, Will

Sonny hugs the phone to his chest and smiles as tears run down his face.

The wedding venue is a large picnic pavilion in County Park just outside of Salem, It is a beautiful, breezy day with just enough cloud cover to keep the sun from making everything too bright.

The music begins. Adrienne, in a flowing dress of deep lavender, escorts Sonny down the aisle. After an hour of standing before his guests, Sonny's once beatific smile begins to wan. No one is able to get a hold of Will nor can anybody locate him.

After two hours have passed, Sonny sits at a table, heartbroken with his head in his hands. Adrienne sits next to her son and pulls on one of his hands.

He looks up with tear-stained cheeks and pinched eyebrows. "Please, Mom, I'm in no mood for an 'I told you so' from you."

"I wasn't going to say that, Sonny. Lately, I've had cause to pay more attention to you and Will as a couple. I can tell that Will truly loves you as much as you love him. So, I really am worried why he isn't here." Sonny leans in for a hug from his mom.

Minutes later, Justin pulls Sonny aside and quietly asks, "What about your connection? Does it tell you anything?"

With his hands over his heart, Sonny tilts his head in a listening pose, and closes his eyes. "It's there, but faint. Not as if he's hurt or dying . . . just far away. Will is worried and angered, and he must be feeling strongly for me to be able to sense at such distance."

"Which must mean that, wherever he is, Will is not happy to be there."

Iris and Will are in her bedroom. He is tied to a chair. "She didn't do a great job. I could easily get out of this. It's her gun I'm worried about."

She's showing him old pictures from a photo-album. "I didn't see it before because Dirk had a mustache all the time I knew him. But something seemed familiar about you. You look just like him and the timing is right. You've come back to me, darling." In the pictures, young Dirk's hair is dark brown and his eyes are a light gray-blue, but the rest of his face uncannily resembles Will's.

"There is one big difference between your husband and me, Ms. McGuire-"

"Iris."

"No. Ms. McGuire, I am gay and have a wonderful man waiting to marry me right now."

"You'll soon forget him. I can help you change."

"No, no you can't! I was born gay. I have no interest in women. You can keep me a prisoner, but you'll never have anything more that a heartbroken captive who will grow to hate you!" Iris is taken aback at the absolute in that statement and takes a seat at her desk. Will gestures toward a framed photo of Iris and Dirk in a romantic embrace. "You and Mr. Wiley were with each other only a short time, but your love for him was strong enough that you never re-married. Do you think you were soul-mates?"

"Oh, yes! Not too many people believed us, but Dirk and I knew when one of us was thinking about the other."

"Ms. McGuire, that's the same with Sonny and me. We feel what the other is feeling. Now, you are keeping me from my soul-mate on our wedding day. Can you imagine what that is doing to me? To me and Sonny?" Iris looks distant for a few minutes, then her face falls, and she sobs into her arms on the desk. Will clenches his jaw and starts bouncing his leg. His sympathy for the woman is fast eroding and he wonders if he should make his move. Iris stands up with a box-cutter in her hand. She steps around the desk and behind Will.

She cuts his bonds and tells him, "Go." Without further thought, he runs for the driveway.

A storm hangs over the city in keeping with Will's mood. Just as the clouds release a downpour, tears begin spilling from Will's eyes. He snatches his phone from the backseat of the car, puts on his hands-free earpiece and starts for home. He presses a contact on the phone and waits for an answer. "Well, Horton, of course, you couldn't rise above your family baggage. Yet another black mark against successful marriages. Sonny must hate me for standing him up at the altar."

Roman Brady steps away from the gathering to answer his phone. He is totally surprised by the ID.

R—Will, what's going on?

W—Oh, Grandpa! A lady I interviewed recently got it into her head that I was her husband reborn. She kidnapped me this morning but let me go. You are the only one I could think of to call that would stay calm enough to listen to me.

R—Okay. Are you calling me to press charges?

W—No, I don't think so. Can you see if Sonny will talk to me? He'll listen to you.

R—Sure, kid.

A hand grips Sonny's shoulder. When he looks up, Will's grandfather is looking at him. He whispers in Sonny's ear while brandishing his phone. Sonny gets up from the table and follows Roman. A short distance away, he hands Sonny his phone.

S—Will?

W—Oh, god, Sonny. I'm so sorry. I messed up so bad.

Sonny can hear the rhythmic beat of Will's windshield wipers at full speed. He's perturbed that Will is driving in a storm while so upset.

S—Will, just get home and we'll talk. Please, drive safely.

Will stops the call, but he's now close enough to Salem that Sonny can feel a weak but distinct chill around his heart. "Oh, god, Will. He's trying to protect his own heart from being broken . . . by me." Sonny holds off his anxiety because he has to check in with his guests and caterers.

Roman accepts the return of his phone. He watches Sonny's stiff march back to the pavilion. Flipping through his contact list, Roman makes a call."

Without realizing it, Will has been steadily increasing his speed as he weaves through highway traffic. "I gotta get home! I can't let Sonny dwell on how badly I've messed up the wedding. Will he still want to marry me?"

He hears the whoop of sirens behind him and sees two patrol cars bearing down on him. "Oh, crap. Crap. Crap. Not this, not now.!" He pulls over. One patrol car pulls around and stops in front of his car while the second patrol car stops behind him.

One officer approaches his window. "Are you Will Horton?"

"Y-Yes, I am."

The officer signals the first patrol car. "Follow that car and I'll follow you. We are your escort back to Salem."

The three cars merge into the traffic. "Wow! Thank you, Grandpa."

Fearfully, Will enters the apartment. "Sonny, are you here?" Getting no answer, Will rips off his running clothes and takes a shower.

Sonny finally reaches his car. He had to push through all the guests that were telling stories of Sami's early disastrous marriages. "No wonder poor Will has been so worried about ruining this wedding. He must have had his heart set on its success."

Sonny opens the door. "Will must be home. The door is unlocked." As soon as he crosses the threshold, he is hit by waves of misery. He sees Will sitting in a chair, wearing his crimson and gold robe. He is staring at the floor.

Gently, Sonny gets down on his knees. He takes Will's left hand in his and strokes Will's temple with his right hand. Sonny closes his eyes and concentrates on how much he loves and cares for his lover. He quietly calls, "Will."

Will blinks and sits back. "Sonny."

"Hey. Where were you just now?"

"Just contemplating on how much I am like my mom."

"Come on, Will. You've come so far in overcoming the traits you inherited."

"But not this! I tried so hard to not screw up our wedding, but I couldn't help it."

"Babe, tell me what happened."

"It was Iris McGuire. She never quite got over her husband's death. She noticed that I resembled him when he was my age and she thought I was his reincarnation. She kidnapped me so we could be together. I made her see that I would never be happy with her and she let me go."

"See, Will. It was by no means your fault. Ms. McGuire is to blame."

"But, if I hadn't interviewed her-"

"You were only doing your job! Now, is there any other reason we can't get married today? Everybody is still waiting."

"You s-still want to marry me, after all this?"

"You are not responsible for the actions of a love-sick old woman. The wedding never really got started, so we can't say it was disrupted. It is merely postponed. Nothing has changed that I am in love with you."

With tears still glistening in his eyes, Will smiles joyfully. "I'm so happy to know that you love me as much I do you."

The following hug and kiss start to get a little heated, until they both push away to say in unison, "The wedding!"

"If you want to go ahead, I'll meet you at the park after I'm dressed."

"Nothing doing, Babe. I'm keeping m eye on you."

"What about tradition?"

Sonny smiles dazzlingly. "Well, as you can see, I'm not wearing my jacket and vest right now. I'll put them on while you drive." Will dresses and Sonny even helps him with his necktie. "All right, Will. Let's go."

"Wait! Wait." Will heads for the fridge and removes a clear plastic case in which sits two boutonnieres consisting of one white rose and one purple carnation on each. "We spent too long choosing these to forget them now."

The guests resume their seats while Sonny and Will pin their flowers to each other. Sami, in a shimmering sky-blue mini-dress, reaches the boys before Adrienne. "What happened?"

"We'll tell you later, Mom. Right now, I-we're getting married."

Sonny addresses both mothers, "I'm changing the plan. Will and I are going down the aisle together!" Both women smile in understanding.

The ceremony runs smoothly, although, Will looks a little uncomfortable when the officiate comes to the part about objecting. The officiate announces them Jackson and William Horton-Kiriakis. Their kiss is perfectly sweet.

The reception is fun. There are no mishaps, fights, or rivalries flared. The newlyweds cut their cake, share a piece, and Will licks frosting off Sonny's chin. Their first dance is to The Luckiest by Ben Folds.

Shortly after the dance, EJ approaches. He shakes both their hands, then hands them each a key-card. "A gift, William & Jackson, from Samantha and me. A weekend at the Salem Inn." He steps away before they have a chance to thank him. It's a very nice gift as the guys had merely planned to spend the weekend locked in their apartment.

When they take their leave, Will and Sonny walk hand-in-hand through the guests who are tossing artificial rose petals. At their apartment, the boys quickly pack for the inn. They don't plan to be wearing much.

They get home on Monday just before noon. They've just finished unpacking when they hear a rather forceful knock at the door. Sonny opens the door to see Roman Brady standing there looking worried.

"Sorry to drop in on you like this, but it's business. Will, when you told us at the reception what happened to you that day, you did say it was Iris McGuire that kidnapped you, right?"

"Yeah, Grandpa. Why are you asking?"

"She's been reported missing, Will. Her domestic staff has had no contact with her all weekend. The only thing missing is the large purse she always carried."

"Come on, Grandpa. You can't think I had anything to do with it. There was no time. We got to her house, she tied me up, we talked, and she let me go. I called you as soon as I got in my car."

"Okay. I get that, but do you have any ideas where she might go?"

"Well, she has a helicopter, a private plane, a massive yacht, and homes all over the world." Sonny sits down on the couch with Will and rubs his back.

"Thank you, Will. You've given us more to go on. I'll keep in touch."

Sonny receives a text inviting them to lunch at the Kiriakis mansion. On their way there, Will gets a text message. "Sonny, they found her! She's on her yacht on the way to South America."

After lunch, Victor gives Sonny and Will a large envelope. "Your parents and I got together to plan your wedding gift. Clear you schedules for a month. We're giving you a Disney World/Epcot Center Honeymoon with a VIP package. The only things you will spend your own money on are souvenirs."

Sonny and Will are ecstatic. Sonny demands a family hug.

A/N:I do have plans for these two, but I welcome suggestions, especially for filler scenes.
