"God, it can't possibly get any worse can it?" groaned a tall young man with tan hair wearing a black suit accented by a pale blue boutonniere and tie. He collapsed against the door frame of the decorated gym, a small grimace crossing his face.
"Would you people stop saying that!" One of the girls said as she slapped the young mans shoulder looking almost frightened. "Every time one of you does something happens."
"Oh stop being so paranoid, I'm sure everything will get better" Beth Ann spoke up in her perkiest voice yet, smiling brightly for her friends before turning and grabbing Gaz by the upper arm and heading towards the coat check. "If you'll just excuse us for a minute."
Once the two girls were out of ear shot from the rest of the group, Beth Ann swung Gaz around so that they were face to face, "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
Gaz didn't answer, nor did she acknowledge Beth Ann, she crossed her arms and glared at the general commotion that was the dance. She had grown bored with causing minor trouble to this group of preps and now intended to go home. She had always made it a point to never come to the gym before now so she'd need to find an escape route but first she'd need to lose the only two who seemed to even care about her presence at all. The pathetic she-child Beth Ann who stood in front of her, and the ridiculous neanderthal that was Torck. Just as she caught glimpse of the emergency exit across the building hiding behind an absurdly large pile of balloons, Beth Ann poked her shoulder hard.
"Really I don't understand why Torck finds you fascinating to begin with, your just another freak. God." Beth Ann turned and went smiling trying to fetch her date. Gaz smirked and with barely a thought poor Beth Ann was now sprawled on the floor having face planted. Maybe she'd reconsider pushing Gaz around like this again.
Gaz started to head toward the emergency exit, hugging the walls and trying to blend into the shadows only to have her path blocked by the large body of Torck. Gaz groaned as she turned and leaned against the wall, if she ever had to agree on one thing with Beth Ann it was definitely the unbelief that Torck liked her of all people.
"So you wanna dance?" Torck said interrupting her thoughts and looking at her expectantly.
"No." Gaz snapped.
"Well you know if you don't want to dance there are other ways we can entertain ourselves." Torck leered leaning closer to Gaz.
Gaz only groaned in response and sidestepped causing him to lose his balance. She needed to figure out a way to focus Torck's attention anywhere but on herself so that she could get away. She was trying to determine the best way to fo that when she felt something tugging on her skirt. She looked down to see a green and black spotted dog with a necktie covering a zipper that ran down his torso grinning up at her, "Gir?"
Zim stared at the now black screen that was his television, papers and photographs spewed across his living room floor. Is mind racing frantically trying to comprehend all the data he just ingested. Professor Membrane had performed genetic experiments. Not only that but if he was reading the clues right, he still had two of those genetic experiments under his own roof. Where would the professor hide something like that, none of Zim's surveillance units picked up any unusual lifeforms. Of all the things the professor didn't show in his videos or pictures it had to be what those bio-forms looked like.
"You don't get it do you?" The computer's voice droned.
"What's not to understand. IT sounds like these bio-forms could be the perfect weapons for Zim, once we find out what exactly they are." Zim stated matter of factly as he skimmed more of the papers, reading something about enhancing the bio-form itself to better withstand something or other.
"I think we already know what they are and what they look like."
"Don't be absurd how could we have seen," Zim began when everything finally clicked. "What in the BLAZES of HELL!" He cried as he over dramatically stood up, grabbed his head and spun away from the television in one swift motion.
Zim stood frozen like that as more pieces fell into place and more questions unearthed themselves in his mind. Sudenly Zim took off running out the door declaring "I have to go."
"Hi" Gir cried out happily as he produced a rose from behind his back and held it up to Gaz. "Wanna Dance?"
Gaz stared bewildered as the little green dog suited robot suddenly broke into random grinding of air before she could even answer. "Gir what are you doing here? Did Zim send you?"
"Nope. I came to PAR-TAY! WOOO!" Gir exclaimed as he spun around and struck a pose. Then suddenly he dashed off further onto the dance floor attempting to dance with every girl he spotted.
"Is that thing yours?" Torck inquired sounding disgusted as Gir spotted the snacks on a far table and subsequently began to gorge himself.
"Ye-es" Gaz said as she feigned a pout "Torck could you please go get him for me?"
"Uh yeah sure, be right back" Torck said as he went to fetch Gir.
"Thanks." Gaz said halfheartedly, and instantly made for the exit as soon as Torck had left. Finally, she'd be able to leave and go home.
