Chapter #14: The Darkness Unfolds.....
*~*~*In the pyramid--Elaya's POV*~*~*
Well, that was boring. This tour was just as bad as the one I took my first time to Egypt....except this time, there was no ditzy blonde--just a ditzy silver-haired man that kept ending words with '-boy'!
Yugi entertained me with the story behind the one-eyed-man. Apparently, he's the creator of Duel Monsters--the guy who made all the cards. He was the host of Duelist Kingdom and wanted to take the Puzzle and Seto's Corporation to resurrect his dead wife.....Not sure how THAT would work....But hey, as long as the guy isn't out to get us, I believe that we're fine.
"And that concludes the end of our tour!" Pegasus cheered.
"It's about time." Seto stated, voice monotone as ever.
Yugi's grandpa went over to Pegasus and whispered something in his ear. Ishizu and Marik were obviously in on it, so they were not leaning in towards the two to hear the answer as the rest of us were.
"Uh-huh......Oh yes.....Yes.....Oh! I'd be delighted!" His final overly happy voice said.
"Yug'? What did your Grandpa just do?" Tristan asked, eyebrows raised.
"Well," Yugi began to explain, "you know about that....ritual thing?"
We all nodded.
"Pegasus needs to be there too....so we all need to stick together in order to be prepared for when Shadi--"
"--You're telling me that we have to be in the same hotel room as that monster?" Seto interrupted, coldly.
"When you think of it that way.....of course it sounds bad....." Téa whispered to me. I smiled despite the bad stories about the one-eyed man. But I guess that mostly everyone here realized that Pegasus is now a better man....and a much happier one at that.....
"Shall we be going?" Pegasus asked oh-so-politely.
"For the love of God, can we?" Joey whined. "My feet are killing me!" Yugi's Grandpa lied about 'it's not a walking tour'
Solomon called that Shuttle Bus Service and here we are, crammed in the same stupid white bus......now with three MORE people. And I had the honour of sitting between Peggy and another new guy, Marik Ishtar. Thankfully, I wasn't totally lost about him! Téa and Ishizu--Marik's sister--were telling me stories on the tour.
"So.....Marik, is it?" I ask, trying to make casual conversation as the bus continued to bump along the road.
"Yes. What?"
"Uh...." Think. Think. Think. What could I ask him to prolong our conversation? "You're Egyptian, right?"
"Yes. So?"
"How do you swear?" Nice one oh-brilliant-one. Why don't you ask him if his favourite colour is pink next? I smack myself mentally.
"What in the name of Ra are you talking about?" He asked, purple eyes staring down at me.
I just started laughing. "So, that's how you swear! 'In the name of Ra'! Priceless! Oh my God!" Man, I am SUCH a moron. I think my medication and the sun are getting to me.
"Why am I stuck beside YOU?" Marik asked, very annoyed.
"Sorry.....You see, I'm kinda sick, sore throat and stuff.....and I....uh...." By that time, he wasn't listening to me at all. Well, SORRY for trying to make this ride a bit more social, Mr. I-swear-using-'Ra's'- name. What IS Ra, anyways....?
"It is one of the Egyptian God Cards needed for this ritual..." He informs. I said that out loud?
"Who has it?" I ask
"Your friend, Yugi.....or in my case, the Pharaoh."
"Oh....Right..." Well that was a nice conversation. Note sarcasm. Thank 'Ra' we got to our hotel a few minutes later.
"Okay, Marik, you can come in our room!" Joey announced, pulling Tristan and Bakura in head-locks.
"Kill me now." Marik mumbled as his sister frowned and pushed him towards the three.
"Ishizu, you can come with us." Téa smiled. "We are the only girls....."
Nodding, she walked towards us. Now....where would Pegasus stay? Kaiba kept holding onto Mokuba's hand the entire tour and keeping his eye on him. No doubt that if Peggy went into his room he wouldn't be alive in the morning.
"I guess I'll be boarding with Yugi-boy." Pegasus announces.
Yugi's face was priceless. His mouth in a 'o' shape; totally speechless. Solomon, however, was not.
"Our room is already quite full Mr. Pegasus...." Solomon stated, trying to break it to him gently that he did not want him in his room.
"No problem at all! I'll get my own then." He walked up to the desk quickly and was already filling out forms.
"I'd prefer it if he slept on the couch in the lounge..." Seto mumbled, loud enough for me to hear.
"What friendly hospitality...." Tristan muttered. I guess he heard Seto's remark...Tristan muttered something else that I couldn't catch....Probably nothing important...Ha!.... "So, what now?" He asked.
We all shrugged. "I'm going back to my room." I announce, making my way to the elevator. "Téa? Ishizu? Are you coming with me?"
"Yes. I suppose I will." Ishizu stated calmly. Téa simply nodded and caught up to me. Uh-oh....Did we just leave a room full of testosterone [1]?....That can't be good....
*~*~*At the Front Desk--Reader's POV*~*~*
"Goodbye girls." Professor Hopkins called out to them as the elevator closed. [I wonder why Pegasus could not share a room with Solomon, Yugi and I......There must be some bad blood between the three that I am not aware of....]
Walking back with a smile on his face, Pegasus said "Great news! I--"
"--didn't find a room?" Kaiba mumbled. [If he is anywhere NEAR Mokuba or me, he'll live to regret it.....] He thought bitterly. He couldn't understand how everyone could be at such ease a man like him. [Well, I know what I know. Pegasus is a sick, twisted freak who can't be trusted.....ever.....]
"Actually, on the contrary Kaiba-boy." Pegasus smiled. "I HAVE found a room....too bad it'll be one floor beneath you all."
"Yeah. What a shame...." Tristan muttered. He gave Joey a look of 'the- farther-away-the-better' and his friend understood. [Heck, I know that this dude has changed....but there is something about him....Man, I still can't trust him.....] The brunette thought.
"Who cares? It's not like we'll be staying here anyways." Marik said, folding his arms across his chest. "Shadi told us that he'll be coming in a matter of two days.....And, in case your clocks are acting up, the first one is almost over."
"We know how to tell time, Marik." Bakura glared, a bit out of character. {{{ You fool! Don't give yourself away! }}} Yami Marik boomed in Yami Bakura's head.
[[[ Shut up. I know what I'm doing! Once Shadi comes, I'll ask Yugi and Marik some questions while we are walking towards the tomb and then the switch will occur. Savvy? [2] So stay on your guard....and keep our guest busy. ]]]
"Woah! Someone's a tad bit crabby this mornin'!" Joey says smiling and putting a friendly arm around him. "Who pissed in your Cornflakes?"
Mustering a fake laugh, Yami Bakura quickly moved the arm off from around his shoulders. [I hate him.]
"If this little meeting is over, Mokuba and I will be leaving." Kaiba said, extremely bored of standing around and watching Joey make an idiot of himself. "Come on little brother."
"Okay Seto. Bye guys! See you at dinner!" Mokuba called out. [What are we gonna do until then anyways? We still got about half an hour to kill......Maybe Elaya can play a game with me.....]
"Dinner?! That's right!" Joey cried. Pulling his shirt to his face, he let out a whoosh of air. "Man, I reek of sand and rotten produce....I really gotta take a shower..."
"Alright...." Tristan said, heading for the stairs. "I got the key....Come on Bakura..." The white haired boy pushed past Marik quite roughly and walked towards his roommates.
"Are you coming too, Marik?" Bakura asked, with a sickly sweet voice. Yami Bakura spat out the boy's name harshly. Walking towards the elevator, only Joey and Tristan noticed that a silver-haired man was following.
"Do you boys mind if I come in the same elevator as you?" Pegasus asked with a serious tone. [Bakura, what have you done with my Eye?]
Shrugging, the two boys stepped aside and let the former Millennium Eye holder come in.
"Yugi...." Solomon said, facing his grandson. "Are you sure that it is alright for all of them--your previous foes--stay near us?"
"I'm positive!" Yugi said, putting on a cheerful face. "They may have been bad in the past, but I'm certain that they've all changed!" [Maybe not 100% certain.....I hope so....] Doubt leaked into Yugi's head, but he wanted to make sure that his grandpa didn't worry.
"Alright then." Solomon began to walk towards the elevator. [No way was I sharing one with Pegasus AND Marik....they jeopardized both my grandson's AND my life.....I still can't trust them....]
*~*~*The Girl's Room--Reader's POV*~*~*
"So....Ishizu...uh....Do you live in Egypt?" Elaya asked, starting another one of her conversations to pass the awkward silence. [Good material....]
"Yes. But I constantly travel to and from Domino.....where Yugi is from." Ishizu stated calmly.
[Thanks for the update.....] Elaya muttered in thought. [Come on....I 'm not that stupid! I DO know where I live....Domino, right?] "Ah....I see.." Nodding, the room fell back into silence.
Téa's eyes went back and forth between her roommates. [Why isn't anyone saying anything? This silence is driving me crazy!] "SO!" She cries.
"So what?" Elaya shrugged.
"Why don't we all go around in a circle and tell one another our stories?....Since we're all practically strangers...." She suggested. [Stupid, stupid, stupid......Jesus Téa, can you get any more corny?]
"Yeah sure....." Elaya muttered sarcastically. "Why don't we all hold hands and sing 'Circle of Life' next?!"
"Funny....Well, what the heck are we gonna do until dinner?" Téa asked.
A knock on the door told the three girls that someone was listening. "I have a suggestion!" A voice said.
"And what would that be Joey?" Elaya asked, falling back on the bed.
"Hey, is Kaiba in there?" He asked from the opposite side of the door. [Man....this could be a possibility of a threesome.....wait....FOUR- some....]
Rolling her eyes, Elaya looked at Téa and smiled. "Yup. He sure is!"
"Are ya decent?"
Storming towards the door, Elaya threw it opened and frowned. "What?!"
"Sheesh...It's just a question...." Joey said defensively. [Hey! They lied! Kaiba's not in here!]
"What's your BIG idea?" Téa asked, coming up beside Elaya, leaving Ishizu alone. [If this is one of his perverted stunts....so help me God, he better sleep with one eye open...] Téa thought tiredly.
"Shadi? Is it time yet?" A voice from behind the three interrupted them. The two girls turn to see Ishizu looking at the window in awe and fear.
They, however, saw nothing.
"Man, and I thought that the brother was messed up!" Joey cried, watching Ishizu strangely, as she continued to stare and walk towards the window. [I guess it runs in the family! They're all whacked! I'm not seeing anything!....what IS she looking at, anyways?]
Ishizu, unlike the others saw Shadi in the window again. "Ishizu, call the others to order. The ritual shall be taking place as soon as they all arrive in this room...."
Nodding, she turned to her friends--who still were unsure of what she was looking at. "Call upon your friends and everyone else necessary for the ritual....The time has come."
"For what?" Joey asked, STILL confused.
"The ritual, you moron!" Elaya sighed. [Come on! Doesn't he know WHY we're all here?!]
"Oh yeah! Sorry! I forgot.....Man, that means I'll need to change outta this sand-smelling T-shirt.....Uh...I'll get Tristan...and the rest of 'em!" Joey dashed out of the doorway and headed to his room close by.
"Yo! Dudes!" He called, opening the door quickly.
"Joey? What's wrong?" Tristan asked, puzzled by his friend's sudden outburst of breath.
"Never call me that again." Marik mumbled. He was currently sitting the one chair in front of the television. [What's so urgent that he came running in here like that...?] Marik mentally gasped. [Shadi has come to us! The ritual will take place today!] "Get up! Where is my sister?" He asked, and also motioned the other two in the room to get up.
"In the girls' room. Come on." Joey headed out the door again, with all of them following.
Bakura was last to exit; Yami Bakura's eyes took over his light's soft face. "What's the rush boys? Eager to die?"
"YUGI!" Téa called, opening the door quickly. "Come quick! In our room!"
"Huh?" Yugi asked, getting up from his current reading position on the bed. "What's happening?"
"Ishizu says that the 'time has come for the ritual'.....Get the Items!" Téa said. [I hope Yugi and the others know what they are getting into!]
[It's time!!] Yugi jumped off the bed, grabbed the box with the Items and the God Cards and dashed out the door. "Yugi? What's the rush?" Solomon asked.
"The ritual, Grandpa! Shadi's ready to take us to the tomb!"
"Do you want me to come along?" Solomon asked slowly.
[It'd be safer if he didn't.....] "No Grandpa, you stay here. It might be dangerous!" Yugi argued.
"Dangerous? What about you?" Solomon asked, with Arthur nodding along.
"I'll be fine! Don't worry!" Yugi left no room for explanation as he whirled past Téa and into her room. He took an inventory check of his box as he waited for Elaya, Kaiba and Pegasus to arrive. [Okay, got Obelisk, Slyfer, and Ra......got the Scales, the Necklace, the Rod....getting the Ring and Eye from Bakura today.....Shadi will give me the Key when we arrive....and I know I got my Puzzle!] Yugi smiled looking down at the golden pyramid that he solved all those years ago.
[And I'm so glad I did solve it.....My Yami is very important to me.....] Yugi's smile became sad as the realization hit him; after today, he'll never hear from him again....
"Kaiba! Come on!" Joey, Tristan, Marik, Bakura, Ishizu, Téa and Yugi all looked up at the door to see Elaya, rushing in and pulling Kaiba by the arm inside. "Let go of me!" He brushed her arm aside. "What about Mokuba?"
"Don't worry Kaiba," Yugi began to say, "my Grandpa and Professor Hopkins are staying behind." Kaiba glared in response but knew that his brother was in good hands. "Hey, where's Pegasus?"
"I called him....He'll be coming soon--" Elaya began to say. Just then, the familiar silver hair and the eye patch emerged from the doorway of the girls' room.
"Speak of the devil...." Bakura mumbled softly.
"Are we ready? Is Shadi?" He asked, out of breath.
Suddenly, in the window in which Ishizu was looking at, stood Shadi--still clad in his white and off-white robes with the Millennium Key around his neck. "It is time."
Yugi gulped. [This is for the best....]. A bright light filled the room as the entire gang was brought back to the great sandy plains of where the tomb of the Pharaoh lies. Tristan beat Joey to ask the simple question of "Where the heck are we?"
"The Pharaoh's tomb. This is the pyramid where his body lies....and where the ritual will begin." Ishizu explained, following Shadi up the steps.
[Hey! I know this place! I got lost here the last time....When I met Justi....] Elaya's memory turned sad as well as she too realized that this would be the last time she'll ever see her other half. [I know that I've been without her for a year....but forever?]
"Come." Shadi repeated as he led the entire gang indoors.
Yugi, Marik and Bakura ended up walking side by side with one another. Nearing the entrance to the Pharaoh's tomb in complete silence, Yami Bakura's thought rang loudly in his head. [Now it is my time to strike.] He thought wickedly.
"Whoa! Check this place out!" Joey exclaimed quite loudly. While everyone was in awe of the tomb, Yami Bakura grinned.
Using his powers quietly and discretely, he pinpointed where Yami Marik was and made the transfer quickly. [[[ Yami Marik? ]]]
{{ What? }} Yami Marik asked, feeling the freedom as he came into his light's body.
[[[ Home sweet home? ]]] Yami Bakura smirked as he continued the switch.
Marik felt odd. [What's happening to me?] He felt as if something was crushing him from within. [Oh Ra! No!]. Darkness, evil forces were crushing his insides.....Especially his heart. [Not you again! NO!]
{{ Miss me? You see, I TOLD you that you couldn't get rid of me! }}
{ No! Get out!! } Marik shouted, trying with all his might to fight it....and without noticing, he let out a frustrated cry.
Ishizu rushed to his aid quickly, as the group stopped looking at the Tomb and turned around to see Marik clutching his head. "Brother!"
{{ You and I are one and the same Marik....You can't escape me! And I won't let you escape my powers! }} Yami Marik laughed cruelly inside Marik's head as Yami Bakura continued to fuel his power for his take over. Marik dropped to his knees and was grasping his head tighter. "AH!"
[MARIK!] Ishizu's thoughts rang. [Oh no....He was experiencing the same trauma as when Odion got struck down by the lightning at Battle City!.....Yami Marik has returned! But how?!] "My Brother! Fight it!"
The others moved away from the two siblings. "What the heck is going on?!" Joey asked over Marik's pained cries.
Shadi's eyes as well as Yugi's opened in fear. "The Spirit inside the Rod has returned!" They said together.
Marik's body shook as the full extend of Yami Bakura's powers took over him. His Yami was now in full control of his body once again. "It is too late for your brother, Ishizu...." He pushed her aside and stood slowly.
"Marik!" Joey yelled in anger. [This jerk caused me and all my friends so much pain in Battle City! What is he doing here?!]
"To answer your question Joey...." Yami Bakura said, finally getting rid of his disguise and holding the Millennium Eye in his hand, "....he is here because I told him to come."
"My Eye!" Pegasus shouted, staring at Bakura as he used the powers that he once had. [But....How?]
/ ATEM! Yami Bakura and Marik are back!! ATEM?! / Yugi desperately tried to call upon his darker half, but he got no answer. / ATEM?! /
"Sorry little Yugi, but the Pharaoh is elsewhere now.....and he can't hear you." Yami Marik grinned.
"What did you do to him?!" Yugi shouted. [Oh God! Not Atem!]
"Same thing to you....." Yami Bakura said, stepping forward. A bright glow from Yami Bakura's two Items and the Puzzle began to glow very bright. [Once these fools are trapped inside with us, we'll call the shots......and then escape......] Yami Bakura thought, overjoyed that his plan was working.
Soon, that light took up the entire room as everyone was brought inside the Puzzle's walls....where all the memories where.
And then it all went black.

Mustering a fake laugh, Yami Bakura quickly moved the arm off from around his shoulders. [I hate him.]
"If this little meeting is over, Mokuba and I will be leaving." Kaiba said, extremely bored of standing around and watching Joey make an idiot of himself. "Come on little brother."
"Okay Seto. Bye guys! See you at dinner!" Mokuba called out. [What are we gonna do until then anyways? We still got about half an hour to kill......Maybe Elaya can play a game with me.....]
"Dinner?! That's right!" Joey cried. Pulling his shirt to his face, he let out a whoosh of air. "Man, I reek of sand and rotten produce....I really gotta take a shower..."
"Alright...." Tristan said, heading for the stairs. "I got the key....Come on Bakura..." The white haired boy pushed past Marik quite roughly and walked towards his roommates.
"Are you coming too, Marik?" Bakura asked, with a sickly sweet voice. Yami Bakura spat out the boy's name harshly. Walking towards the elevator, only Joey and Tristan noticed that a silver-haired man was following.
"Do you boys mind if I come in the same elevator as you?" Pegasus asked with a serious tone. [Bakura, what have you done with my Eye?]
Shrugging, the two boys stepped aside and let the former Millennium Eye holder come in.
"Yugi...." Solomon said, facing his grandson. "Are you sure that it is alright for all of them--your previous foes--stay near us?"
"I'm positive!" Yugi said, putting on a cheerful face. "They may have been bad in the past, but I'm certain that they've all changed!" [Maybe not 100% certain.....I hope so....] Doubt leaked into Yugi's head, but he wanted to make sure that his grandpa didn't worry.
"Alright then." Solomon began to walk towards the elevator. [No way was I sharing one with Pegasus AND Marik....they jeopardized both my grandson's AND my life.....I still can't trust them....]
*~*~*The Girl's Room--Reader's POV*~*~*
"So....Ishizu...uh....Do you live in Egypt?" Elaya asked, starting another one of her conversations to pass the awkward silence. [Good material....]
"Yes. But I constantly travel to and from Domino.....where Yugi is from." Ishizu stated calmly.
[Thanks for the update.....] Elaya muttered in thought. [Come on....I 'm not that stupid! I DO know where I live....Domino, right?] "Ah....I see.." Nodding, the room fell back into silence.
Téa's eyes went back and forth between her roommates. [Why isn't anyone saying anything? This silence is driving me crazy!] "SO!" She cries.
"So what?" Elaya shrugged.
"Why don't we all go around in a circle and tell one another our stories?....Since we're all practically strangers...." She suggested. [Stupid, stupid, stupid......Jesus Téa, can you get any more corny?]
"Yeah sure....." Elaya muttered sarcastically. "Why don't we all hold hands and sing 'Circle of Life' next?!"
"Funny....Well, what the heck are we gonna do until dinner?" Téa asked.
A knock on the door told the three girls that someone was listening. "I have a suggestion!" A voice said.
"And what would that be Joey?" Elaya asked, falling back on the bed.
"Hey, is Kaiba in there?" He asked from the opposite side of the door. [Man....this could be a possibility of a threesome.....wait....FOUR- some....]
Rolling her eyes, Elaya looked at Téa and smiled. "Yup. He sure is!"
"Are ya decent?"
Storming towards the door, Elaya threw it opened and frowned. "What?!"
"Sheesh...It's just a question...." Joey said defensively. [Hey! They lied! Kaiba's not in here!]
"What's your BIG idea?" Téa asked, coming up beside Elaya, leaving Ishizu alone. [If this is one of his perverted stunts....so help me God, he better sleep with one eye open...] Téa thought tiredly.
"Shadi? Is it time yet?" A voice from behind the three interrupted them. The two girls turn to see Ishizu looking at the window in awe and fear.
They, however, saw nothing.
"Man, and I thought that the brother was messed up!" Joey cried, watching Ishizu strangely, as she continued to stare and walk towards the window. [I guess it runs in the family! They're all whacked! I'm not seeing anything!....what IS she looking at, anyways?]
Ishizu, unlike the others saw Shadi in the window again. "Ishizu, call the others to order. The ritual shall be taking place as soon as they all arrive in this room...."
Nodding, she turned to her friends--who still were unsure of what she was looking at. "Call upon your friends and everyone else necessary for the ritual....The time has come."
"For what?" Joey asked, STILL confused.
"The ritual, you moron!" Elaya sighed. [Come on! Doesn't he know WHY we're all here?!]
"Oh yeah! Sorry! I forgot.....Man, that means I'll need to change outta this sand-smelling T-shirt.....Uh...I'll get Tristan...and the rest of 'em!" Joey dashed out of the doorway and headed to his room close by.
"Yo! Dudes!" He called, opening the door quickly.
"Joey? What's wrong?" Tristan asked, puzzled by his friend's sudden outburst of breath.
"Never call me that again." Marik mumbled. He was currently sitting the one chair in front of the television. [What's so urgent that he came running in here like that...?] Marik mentally gasped. [Shadi has come to us! The ritual will take place today!] "Get up! Where is my sister?" He asked, and also motioned the other two in the room to get up.
"In the girls' room. Come on." Joey headed out the door again, with all of them following.
Bakura was last to exit; Yami Bakura's eyes took over his light's soft face. "What's the rush boys? Eager to die?"
"YUGI!" Téa called, opening the door quickly. "Come quick! In our room!"
"Huh?" Yugi asked, getting up from his current reading position on the bed. "What's happening?"
"Ishizu says that the 'time has come for the ritual'.....Get the Items!" Téa said. [I hope Yugi and the others know what they are getting into!]
[It's time!!] Yugi jumped off the bed, grabbed the box with the Items and the God Cards and dashed out the door. "Yugi? What's the rush?" Solomon asked.
"The ritual, Grandpa! Shadi's ready to take us to the tomb!"
"Do you want me to come along?" Solomon asked slowly.
[It'd be safer if he didn't.....] "No Grandpa, you stay here. It might be dangerous!" Yugi argued.
"Dangerous? What about you?" Solomon asked, with Arthur nodding along.
"I'll be fine! Don't worry!" Yugi left no room for explanation as he whirled past Téa and into her room. He took an inventory check of his box as he waited for Elaya, Kaiba and Pegasus to arrive. [Okay, got Obelisk, Slyfer, and Ra......got the Scales, the Necklace, the Rod....getting the Ring and Eye from Bakura today.....Shadi will give me the Key when we arrive....and I know I got my Puzzle!] Yugi smiled looking down at the golden pyramid that he solved all those years ago.
[And I'm so glad I did solve it.....My Yami is very important to me.....] Yugi's smile became sad as the realization hit him; after today, he'll never hear from him again....
"Kaiba! Come on!" Joey, Tristan, Marik, Bakura, Ishizu, Téa and Yugi all looked up at the door to see Elaya, rushing in and pulling Kaiba by the arm inside. "Let go of me!" He brushed her arm aside. "What about Mokuba?"
"Don't worry Kaiba," Yugi began to say, "my Grandpa and Professor Hopkins are staying behind." Kaiba glared in response but knew that his brother was in good hands. "Hey, where's Pegasus?"
"I called him....He'll be coming soon--" Elaya began to say. Just then, the familiar silver hair and the eye patch emerged from the doorway of the girls' room.
"Speak of the devil...." Bakura mumbled softly.
"Are we ready? Is Shadi?" He asked, out of breath.
Suddenly, in the window in which Ishizu was looking at, stood Shadi--still clad in his white and off-white robes with the Millennium Key around his neck. "It is time."
Yugi gulped. [This is for the best....]. A bright light filled the room as the entire gang was brought back to the great sandy plains of where the tomb of the Pharaoh lies. Tristan beat Joey to ask the simple question of "Where the heck are we?"
"The Pharaoh's tomb. This is the pyramid where his body lies....and where the ritual will begin." Ishizu explained, following Shadi up the steps.
[Hey! I know this place! I got lost here the last time....When I met Justi....] Elaya's memory turned sad as well as she too realized that this would be the last time she'll ever see her other half. [I know that I've been without her for a year....but forever?]
"Come." Shadi repeated as he led the entire gang indoors.
Yugi, Marik and Bakura ended up walking side by side with one another. Nearing the entrance to the Pharaoh's tomb in complete silence, Yami Bakura's thought rang loudly in his head. [Now it is my time to strike.] He thought wickedly.
"Whoa! Check this place out!" Joey exclaimed quite loudly. While everyone was in awe of the tomb, Yami Bakura grinned.
Using his powers quietly and discretely, he pinpointed where Yami Marik was and made the transfer quickly. [[[ Yami Marik? ]]]
{{ What? }} Yami Marik asked, feeling the freedom as he came into his light's body.
[[[ Home sweet home? ]]] Yami Bakura smirked as he continued the switch.
Marik felt odd. [What's happening to me?] He felt as if something was crushing him from within. [Oh Ra! No!]. Darkness, evil forces were crushing his insides.....Especially his heart. [Not you again! NO!]
{{ Miss me? You see, I TOLD you that you couldn't get rid of me! }}
{ No! Get out!! } Marik shouted, trying with all his might to fight it....and without noticing, he let out a frustrated cry.
Ishizu rushed to his aid quickly, as the group stopped looking at the Tomb and turned around to see Marik clutching his head. "Brother!"
{{ You and I are one and the same Marik....You can't escape me! And I won't let you escape my powers! }} Yami Marik laughed cruelly inside Marik's head as Yami Bakura continued to fuel his power for his take over. Marik dropped to his knees and was grasping his head tighter. "AH!"
[MARIK!] Ishizu's thoughts rang. [Oh no....He was experiencing the same trauma as when Odion got struck down by the lightning at Battle City!.....Yami Marik has returned! But how?!] "My Brother! Fight it!"
The others moved away from the two siblings. "What the heck is going on?!" Joey asked over Marik's pained cries.
Shadi's eyes as well as Yugi's opened in fear. "The Spirit inside the Rod has returned!" They said together.
Marik's body shook as the full extend of Yami Bakura's powers took over him. His Yami was now in full control of his body once again. "It is too late for your brother, Ishizu...." He pushed her aside and stood slowly.
"Marik!" Joey yelled in anger. [This jerk caused me and all my friends so much pain in Battle City! What is he doing here?!]
"To answer your question Joey...." Yami Bakura said, finally getting rid of his disguise and holding the Millennium Eye in his hand, "....he is here because I told him to come."
"My Eye!" Pegasus shouted, staring at Bakura as he used the powers that he once had. [But....How?]
/ ATEM! Yami Bakura and Marik are back!! ATEM?! / Yugi desperately tried to call upon his darker half, but he got no answer. / ATEM?! /
"Sorry little Yugi, but the Pharaoh is elsewhere now.....and he can't hear you." Yami Marik grinned.
"What did you do to him?!" Yugi shouted. [Oh God! Not Atem!]
"Same thing to you....." Yami Bakura said, stepping forward. A bright glow from Yami Bakura's two Items and the Puzzle began to glow very bright. [Once these fools are trapped inside with us, we'll call the shots......and then escape......] Yami Bakura thought, overjoyed that his plan was working.
Soon, that light took up the entire room as everyone was brought inside the Puzzle's walls....where all the memories where.
And then it all went black.

Well....NOW the plot shall start....no more cheesy fillers just the hard- core stuff! WOOHOO!!!! (annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I'm done...)
Anyhow, sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes and for the terribly long update...(school and stuff)....but I promise, I'll have at least chappie 15 up by this weekend!
