"Blackhawk and Redstone"

A/N: So if you haven't noticed the aura in my story is significantly weaker than in the actual show, I treat it more like an energy shield from halo, it breaks pretty easily but regenerates much faster.

After the hole was repaired by Glinda, I made sure Panther, Weiss, and Yang were ok, and made sure all the teams had done their jobs without issue, I walked over to River. "What took you so long to get here?" I asked, "Cobra screwed up the job, as usual, scaring off the grimm we were hunting, Viper said they would handle it so I got here just in time by the looks of it." she said wiping off her knife.

"Disable your stealth mode, black doesn't suit you." she said, wiping her other knife off on my wrist which I forgot was still black. I turned the emblem back resetting my armor to its red color "So, why did you call me back?" she asked crossing her arms and leaning on her left leg, "I think we would both like an answer to that." Panther said, walking over.

Here goes everything, "I'm reforming the team." I stated as if it had already happened.

"What, why?" River was puzzled, "listen Tali, the group fell apart because we all had things we had to do and now there is only one thing we are going to do, watch over team RWBY." River winced at the use of her name, "I'm all for protecting innocents but they're huntress', they can take care of themselves." she said challengingly. "Listen, Ozpin asked us to, that's why we were here, he asked for both of you as well but we covered for you. We aren't just watching over them, they've been watching our backs and helping us fight the White Fang but from what's been happening recently I need my team at full strength." I finished.

"Wait, what do you mean from what's been happening recently?" River asked no longer angry but intrigued. "If you'd have watched the news lately the Grimm are growing stronger and more of a threat, a mystery woman appeared and broke Stone's swords, and overall if I don't have your help Stone is going to kill himself."

"I thought you wanted to protect team RWBY, why all this talk about Stone?" River asked.

"Because Stone is suicidal, I think he's just waiting for a chance to die in a blaze of glory and the only thing that's holding him back is Ruby and if anything happened to her I think we would lose him as well so I'm asking to help protect RWBY to protect Stone." I said, without taking a breath.

"Screw it, I don't have anything better to do." Panther said, "Ok. . . for Stone." River said.

"Wait, when did you get a shotgun River?" I asked, gesturing to the weapon on her back, "Because I found that a gun can be better than a blade sometimes." she said, then walked over to Yang.

"Do ya think they'll get along?" I asked Panther, "Maybe, she's always been the softest hearted of us." he said, walking over to Ozpin who had just stepped off a drop ship.

Four days later

Stone's Point of View

"I leave for a few days and when I get back I hear of a train crashing into the middle of the city, find my team is back for good, that were staying with team RWBY, and that you wiped out the White Fang in Vale as well as killed Roman Torchwick!" I almost yelled at my team.

"Told you he'd be happy to see us." said Panther to Hawk. "Where do I even begin, Panther, why did you kill Torchwick?" I sighed, "He wouldn't shut up so I put an arrow through his heart." he shrugged.

"You know what, just forget it let's start with the fact that we only have five beds." I said flustered, "Team RWBY will sleep at the school while we stay here, we can drop the student act thankfully." Hawk said, pointing looking at his school uniform and setting it ablaze.

"Enough about that, show them that cool thing you can do now!" Ruby said basically bouncing with excitement. "So, check this out, when I was in Atlas I decided to use some of their tech and change my armor so it could do this." on a thought my armor started to fold into itself until it was gone.

"There is a plate on my back that my armor folds into as well as my knees and arms so I can have my armor wherever I go but that's not the best part." on another thought the bottom of my arms opened and pushed two, newly forged, blue swords into my hands, "I can store my swords in my arms now." I said twirling them.

"So, who was going to tell me that Stone lost his arms?" River asked turning to Hawk "Oh, yeah I forgot to mention that." he said slowly.

"So, are you guys coming to the dance?" Yang asked walking out of the workout room, Ruby and I looked at each other and both started to laugh furiously. "Oh, there is no way in hell I'm dancing." I managed to get out between laughs.

"Ok I'll go to the dance if you ask Blake to it." I said to Cole, after I stopped laughing. For some reason I could have sworn Yang's eyes turned red for a split second.

I had good timing because Blake and Weiss walked in from their respective rooms, "Hey Blake, do you want to go to the dance?" Cole asked without so much as a pause. "Um. . . sure, sounds fun." she rubbed her arm. I gave him a look that clearly said 'showoff' then walked into my room with Ruby on my heel.

"So, are you really going to the dance?" she asked, after I closed the door. "Since when do you not want to go, a few days ago you were all gun ho for the dance, why not now?" I asked sitting on the edge of the bed. Ruby walked over and sat next to me "Because we've all had a lot going on recently and I thought it would be good to just relax."

"Oh yeah; standing in the middle of a group of strangers, swaying back and forth, wanting to stab a kitten to relieve boredom, so relaxing." I said, sarcastically.

Why do you insist on having a relationship with Ruby, she will bring you brief happiness, sure but it will be long term pain when you split up so what even is the point?" Storm asked, slowly circling me, as he often did, "I don't know why but I do know that all I want is her, so if I want her I'm going to try my hardest to get her and keep her." I said impatiently.

"You realize that with these new upgrades we could save hundreds maybe thousands, so just think about that when you're playing house with your little distraction." he said before disappearing.

The next night

I looked shocked at the nicely dressed Ruby who was wearing an amazing red dress, "You look great." I said with my eyes as open as they could possibly go. She giggled, "You too." then she walked out of the dorm and grabbed my arm. I wore a black tux with a blue trim, collar popped and no tie, as any sane man would.

We arrived at the dance at the same time as Blake and Cole, who was wearing a nice red and white suite, which was looked a bit outdated but then again, he could never pull off black.

The room was packed and was way too small for a school dance, but I guess this is all they could get so we had to make the most of it.

After a slow dance, that I had to improvise because I had no earthly idea how to dance, I saw Sun Wukong start to walk toward Blake, who was sitting alone. As much as I enjoy tormenting Cole. . . if Blake makes him happy who am I interrupt that or let it be interrupted, I quickly cut him off.

"Hey Sun, I haven't seen you in a while." I said, walking in front of him and crossing my arms, "Oh, hey Stone, actually I'm glad I ran into you. I'm going to ask Blake out so do you have any advice?" he asked scratching the back of his head. "Actually, I do have advice, don't ask her out, she's dating Cole." I just got it over with.

"Who's Cole?"

"Hawk." I answered

"You're saying that machine is capable of emotions and is human?" he asked, I couldn't tell if he was joking or not.

"I wouldn't be using robot as an insult here buddy." I said pulling up my sleeve.

"Ok sorry I just didn't think she'd get with him or get with anyone." he said putting his hands in the air.

"You and me both." I grumbled.

I walked back over to Ruby "Seems everyone's enjoying themselves." she said looking around, "Wait, who's that?" she pointed through the main doors to a dark figure running on the roof of a building.

"Time to mix a little business with pleasure." I said walking to the door with Ruby walking behind me. My armor formed around me and I flashed to the rooftop with the figure on it.

Being a little dramatic, I hit the rooftop in a kneeling position with my fist in the ground, "Little late for a stroll, wouldn't you say?" I asked the figure, I now recognized as the girl I had fought back during the mech incident.

"Oh, hello Stone, guess it's time for round two." Her glass swords formed out of thin air. My swords folded out, "I won't lose this time, my body also has a few new features."

I sprang and span like a top, slashing at her. The woman jumped back and out of the way, she then formed a bow and shot at my back, I deflected her arrow. She formed her swords once again and ran at me, she slid under my legs and swept them out from under me. I quickly flashed in front of her and kicked her in the face, some of the roof tiles broke off and cut up her aura. "There's something different about you. The doubt, it's gone, all I can sense is killing intent, you remind me of Adam." She coughed.

"Adam is a psycho, I only kill people that deserve it." I spat. I ran up to her and made a diagonal cut, her aura broke. "How do you know I deserve it?" she asked me, stumbling to her feet. I brought my swords together at her throat with lighting speed, "I'm not a monster. Leave and never return, if I find you again I will kill you, same goes to your people, I'm done holding back."

Her eyes narrowed and she gave me a sour look, a mixture of anger and disgust. "Very well then, you won't see us coming." She snapped, her silky voice turned harsh. "I'll give you something to remember me by, eye for an eye if you will. I swung my right sword down and cut off her arm, blood poured from the wound. I then nicked her eye with the end of my blade, "Don't come back, final warning."
