This will finish up Capture the Flag, I hope u guys like it!
We climb off the Ferris Wheel and head back to our team without saying a word. Gage follows me quietly and I wonder what's up with him? First, he beats me up and almost kills me, then he saves my life and holds me in his arms when I'm scared stiff? What happened to him?
Our team is still arguing when we get back and doesn't notice us; except for Tris and Four, who glance our way and nod approvingly.
"Guys, the flag is tied on the Ferris Wheel and the other team is hiding in the Abandoned Alley." I say loud enough so that everyone's head turns to look at me.
"You did what?" Sabrina spits.
"When you were too busy arguing, Sadie had the idea to put the flag on the Ferris Wheel and climb high enough to scout the other team. They are in the Abandoned Alley." Gage says. He gave me all the credit.
"How come we weren't included in your little plan?" Ellis asks.
"Because, it looked to me that you didn't want to hear it." I sigh, "So, let's go get the other team."
"And, how do you suppose we do that?" Marc crosses his arms.
"I don't know." I shrug, "Think of something."
Sabrina rolls her eyes, "Why don't you, since you are Miss Idea today."
"Well, I don't have a plan, so I need help." I say.
"We'll split up!" Dustin breaks the argument, "Half go on the east side, half on the west."
"Okay, that's a good plan." Tris says, "Four, Dustin, Ellis, and Marc take west. Sadie, Gage, Sabrina and I will take east."
I follow Tris to the east side of the city. We sprint as fast as we can until we finally reach the Abandoned Alley. I pull out my paintball gun and shoot the first person I see, which just happens to be Kinsey. Then, I sprint toward the flag and reach to pull it off, but Sabrina grabs it before I get the chance.
"We got it!" Sabrina yells, and my team erupts into cheers and howls.
Kiera runs over to me and holds up her hand, "High Five!" I slap my hand against hers and grin. We did it! "Nice idea, by the way. I would have never thought of going on the Ferris Wheel. Was it scary?" She asks.
"A little bit," I admit, "and thanks." She smiles back at me and pulls me into the group.
Kinsey marches up to me, covered in paint, "You shot me!" She places her hands on her hips and glares at me.
"Sorry," I say.
"That's all? You're sorry." She rolls her eyes, "Whatever."
Someone drapes their arm over my shoulders, and I look to see who it is. "Hey," I say, once I realize it's Austin.
"Nice job, Sadie. I wish I could have been on your team." He fakes a pouty face and I laugh, making him grin back at me.
A lot of people congratulate me and Sabrina, since she grabbed the flag, and we head back to the tracks. The train comes into view and we all brace ourselves to jump. As the train passes, I break into a sprint to match it's spread and reach up to grab the rung on the ladder. I swing my legs up and pull myself into the car. Helping other people up, I wonder to myself what's going to happen tomorrow.
Tomorrow, I might have to fight Gage.
