Hey guys, sorry about the late update. I've just been working on a different story that has a couple more views. You can read it too if you like; it's called A Dog and her Girl. I would like to say that I LOVE your reviews, your support, and what you have to say. Reader of the week is still Lol for continuous support and reviews. Read and review!

I must not have been out cold for a while, because when I awakened, it seemed like no time had passed. I roll myself over to face the rest of the Team and Night Wing, who is holding his hand and grimacing in pain. I notice that his hand is bright red. "I didn't die!" I laugh, but their faces stayed grave and serious. "What happened? Why didn't any of you roll me over?" "We tried," says Aqualad, "and we failed. When Night Wing touched you, his skin burnt to a crisp." "Energy residue," I say, nodding my head. That has happened before, several times. "Is Night Wing, Amanda and Aqualad okay?" I ask, worried for my friends. "Yes. We all remain uninjured," says Aqualad. He continues to speak, but I tune out, noticing that Amanda has finally awoken.

Amanda's P.O.V.

Am I in heaven? I think as I look at the miniature waterfall and the gold-plated floor. Then I feel a throbbing, dull pain in my head and it comes back to me. Being captured, tortured, and Black Manta. I hear people having a quiet conversation by my bedside, so I turn my head and look. A man with dark skin and a shaved, white-blond head is talking to another man with a black suit, black hair and a mask that covers his eyes. Among the others in the room are a woman with green skin and short auburn hair, a girl in green with a bow and long blond hair, a boy in yellow with red hair, another boy with green skin, a girl with blond hair in a black tee, and a boy in a blue and black suit, wearing a mask. But the most peculiar out of them all is a girl with long black hair and catlike eyes. She is staring right at me with an intense glare that could penetrate walls. "She's awake," she says, and she interrupts the dark-skinned boy, for he was in the middle of a sentence. "Who are you?" I ask, but not to one person in particular. There's a chorus of answers, but then the girl with the bow just says, "Your rescuers." "Your father is anticipating your arrival," says the dark-skinned boy. "Yeah," says the boy in black with a mask. "We should get you back to Star." "Now can we call the Batjet?" asks a boy that I hadn't noticed before. He has a black and yellow cape and a mask. "Can we call the Martian bioship?" asks the boy with green skin. "Sure," says the woman with green skin. Her eyes flash green for a moment, and I hear something big zooming in the water behind us. "Ready to go," she says. "Come now, Amanda, we shall be going," says the dark-skinned boy, beckoning me. "Coming," I say, and I sit up, Pain spreads across my stomach and I grimace. The girl with catlike eyes and dark hair silently moves to the side of my bed and helps me get up. She helps me walk across the room to a hole that just appeared in the wall water flows in, and I try to swim against the hard current. "Come! We haven't much time!" she says, and she grabs my arm swimming across the tide. Her grip loosens, even if it's just for a fraction of a second, and the current carries me away. I swim as had and as fast as I possibly can towards her, hoping that maybe I can get there in time.
