Steve Rogers was at the building, waiting for Helena to come down from where she had been living. He had been getting that same glare from the doorman as he would always come over to see Helena, so he should have been used to that sort of thing by that point.

He could watch Helena as she came out of the elevator, and he could not really tear his eyes from her as she walked towards him. The black dress she was wearing had appeared to hug every part of her in all of the right ways. That had caused him to feel the need to shake his head to clear it to keep it from getting any worse.

Helena walked over to him and took a hold of his arm as they started to walk out of the building. She gave him one of her bright smiles, which almost made him weak at the knees, but they had to continue to walk on.

He could not seem to look away from her as they walked, which he noticed had caused the doorman to give him a pretty dark look.

"Alfred should be here to pick us up," she said to him, and she started to pull him in the direction of one of the nicer-looking vehicles that were waiting by the side of the road. "Over here."

The older man opened the back door to them, giving them each a slight greeting before they climbed into the back. Helena sat close to Steve when they were in the car together, and he could feel the heat coming off her and the scent of the lavender from her hair.

It was starting to become very difficult for him to be able to look away from her and even concentrate.

By the mischievous light to her eyes, he could tell she knew that.

"What are we waiting for?" He asked her.

"Dick," Helena said to him. "And, his current date, Laurel." She paused for a moment. "Merlyn was unable to attend with her."

"Okay," Steve said to her. That may have been why he was starting to become more irritated than anything else, especially when Dick came into the car to sit with them.

For that brief moment, they were talking to each other, and he could tell they were pretty close to each other, which did wonders for that irritation of his.

Helena turned her attention back to Steve, and she sat closer to him, practically resting her head on his shoulder. That caused Dick to narrow his eyes at the two of them, not helping the irritation, but being that close to Helena made him start to ignore that irritation.

"I can't believe you're coming to this," Helena said to Laurel Lance. "Given your history with Queen."

"We were old friends," she said to Helena. "Grew up together."

Helena looked at her. "He cheated on with your sister. He was with her on The Queen's Gambit. . ." She stopped a moment as she started to realize the real reason on why she had wanted to be there on that night. "Don't shed any blood."

"There are some things I want to tell him," Laurel said to her.

"Like I said," Helena said to her, quirking up an eyebrow at her. "No blood."

Steve and Helena spent the rest of the ride speaking to each other. They were pretty close to each other, so his previous irritation was long forgotten by the time they arrived to the event.

Helena hung on his arm as they walked into the building. She gave him another one of her bright smiles.

"Stay close to me," she said to him. "And, you won't have a bad night."

He remember what Natasha had said to him, so he had to agree that would have been the best option for the two of them.

Steve could hear Tony Stark long before he was able to see him, so he was not surprised to really see him there. The only thing that surprised him was Tony with the same woman he had seen before on different circumstances. From what he knew about Tony, he could tell he was like his father, Howard, he would not be a one-woman kind of guy.

Helena walked over to the man named Oliver Queen who was talking to Tony and Pepper.

"I know you've change," Tony was saying to Oliver Queen. "Take it from someone who disappeared for a period of time, so I know that look."

"If you think I'm going to fly around in a suit of armor. . ." Oliver had said to him.

"You'll hear from my lawyers," Tony interrupted him. "If you were even able to design one that was operational. No one has yet."

"I heard Walter say that someone he was going to potentially work with try that out," Oliver said, knowing a way to completely deflate him and break apart his ego. "Ray Palmer. . ."

"Never heard of him," Tony had said to him.

"He's heard of you," Oliver said to Tony. "Just like Hank Pym."

"What?" Tony said to Oliver, who turned his back on him to speak to Helena.

"Glad to see you're back," Helena said to him. "I know that Thea's happy to see you again."

"Thank you for being there for her when she needed it," Oliver said to her.

"She's a friend," Helena said to him. "Don't mention it."

Steve had been watching Helena as they spoke to each other, so Tony took that time to speak to him. He did not really notice how Steve was looking at Helena because that was not something he would ever really notice or speak about to anyone else.

"I know that look," Tony said to Steve. "That Queen's wearing. "I wore that same look when I came back. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the Hood or something like that, and you can't say that's not possible because in this day and age, you never know."
