Faster… faster… they ran, dodging monsters along the way. They had to beat Randall, there was no other choice. Brightly colored monsters became a blur at the speed they were going.

There were only two places that held doors to the Human world. Monsters Inc and Monsters University. Fear Tech had been shut down once the scaring had stopped.

Seeing how the college was hundreds of miles away, there was only one choice. The factory. It was a race to see who would get there first. Randall with his head start or Sulley and Mike with their determination.

The duo arrived panting at the gates and stopped dead in their tracks. The building was crawling with the CDA. Randall had beaten them and sounded the alarm. Before they were noticed, Sulley slipped behind a parked car and crouched down. Mike joined him, still panting from the run.

"Now…what… are… we going to… do?" He gasped out the words.

"I don't know. We need to get inside." Sulley replied while trying to keep a struggling Boo quiet. She didn't like being wrapped up and unable to see.

The sound of an approaching helicopter worried Sulley. He knew they would be spotted. He risked a peek around the corner of the car and caught a glimpse of Randall coming out of the factory.

Mike had finally caught his breath. He stood up and looked over the edge of the car. "Great. Just what we need. I bet he's not happy with us for what we did last time." His hand fell on the handle to the door of the car. He tried it, expecting it to be locked. It opened.

"Sulley? Check this out." He spoke in a hushed whisper as his friend ducked back around the car. "It's unlocked."

"So?" Sulley answered. "We can't drive into the factory, Mike."

Mike rolled his eye. "No kidding, Big Guy. But we *can* drive to the University. No one is expecting us there. "

"Do you think we can make it?" Sulley questioned as he opened the back door and put Boo inside. "Whose car is this?"

Mike closes the door and creeps around to look at the license plate. "Um, it's George's."

"Sanderson?" Sulley asks, then closes the door once he has Boo settled and quiet. "Didn't he just buy this car?"

Mike nods. "Yep. Brand new. Get in, Sulley." He pushes the furry monster towards the front of the car.

Sulley frowns as he opens the door. "Not to rain on your parade, but how do you plan on starting it?" He quietly sneaks inside, trying to keep his bulky form low.

When no answer is coming, Sulley turns around slightly to see Mike reaching under the front fender, yanking at something. With a small ping sound, he watches his rounded friend fall to the ground holding something shiny.

Mike climbs in the car and closes the door. "Spare key. Ready?" He asks but doesn't wait for confirmation. He takes a deep breath, then starts the car.

The reaction is immediate. Everyone in the area turned to the sound of the motor. Randall's head snapped around so fast it made a cracking sound. "GET THEM!" He hollered, even as he streaked toward the car.

Unfamiliar with the workings of the vehicle, Mike starts pushing buttons. "He would have to get the deluxe model!" His long finger finally stabs one that does something besides turn on the A/C or wipers. "Hang on!"

Randall just reached the car when it lurched forward, just out of his grasp. He landed hard on the pavement, tasting exhaust and bits of asphalt.

Boo began to laugh as they pulled away. "Wheee!" Her excitement is evident as she stands to look out the back window.

Sulley was hanging on as the car took off, his face smashed against the passenger window. He could taste blood on his tongue. Now that Mike had some control over the car, he turned away from the offending glass and glanced at Boo. "Sit down."

"No!" She continues to bounce and clap as they pull further away from the factory.

"Boo! Sit down!" Sulley roars, having lost his patience in the heat of the moment.

The sound of his anger along with the look on his face had Boo cowering in a split second. She grabbed the blanket she had been wrapped in, pulled it over her head and began to shake and cry.

Mike had his hands full, trying to operate the car, weaving in out of traffic, looking for the highway that would take them to the school. "Sulley, I don't have time for this!" He barks out as he narrowly misses slamming into a slow moving car in front of them.

Not for the first time, Sulley begins to wonder if his bad decisions are going to cause more pain. He barely has time for that thought before he's hanging on again, watching Mike slip and slide his way through more traffic, running a red light and whipping around a corner so fast he almost missed it.

"Mike! You're going to get us all KILLED!" Sulley roars again, not caring this time. Boo was already upset, and he was getting terrified for his life.

Mike's normally green hands were ghost white as he clung to the steering wheel, his one eye fixed on the road in front. "I'm doing the best I can!" he thundered back, finally seeing the highway exit coming up. "Do you want them to catch us or not?" He rips one hand off the wheel to point out the back window and the rapidly approaching sirens.

Sulley gulped and snapped his mouth shut, now the only sound coming from the car was Boo sobbing from under the blanket.

Mike focused on getting them on the highway, then hit the accelerator to the floor. The car took off like a rocket and soon even the sounds of the sirens faded. Scenery streaked by in a blur but he kept his mind on his goal. Get them to the school in one piece and beat the CDA there.
