Disclaimer: I do not own anyone or anything from Twilight! I wish I did and while my name is Stephanie my last name does not start with the letter M, that means nothing Twilight or Twilight related belongs to me. 'Sighs' It's really a shame, but fanfiction will have to suffice lol!
When Aro came in with his minions and a blindfolded and beat up Leah in the grasp of Demetri, Vladmir was sorely tempted to lunge and rip her out of their arms, but he refrained from doing so because the rational part of his brain, the part that was still working slightly and hadn't been taken over by emotions he deemed to be foreign and unnatural for a a vampire of his age, reminded him the shifter female he loved could get caught in the crossfire and if that occurred she could be seriously injured. If it came to the point where he thought she was in danger then he would do whatever it took to get her out of there, but he would wait and see how things played out since the Romanian had no desire to to stir up a confrontation if he could help it.
"Leah, are you alright?" He asked while at the same time raking his eyes over her entire body so he could access her injuries. "Do you have any serious wounds Carlisle should take a look at? Are they feeding you enough? Has anyone touched you or forced you to do something you did not want? Is there anything you need that I can get you until we are able to get you out of here and back home where you belong?"
Leah could feel someone removing the blindfold from her eyes and it took a moment for her eyes to get used to the light after being in the dark for so long. "I'm perfectly fine; these leeches like to think they're tough, but I have been put through much worse than this and nothing they do can even begin to compare to the shit I've had to deal with in the past. I wouldn't mind a few magazines and a gameboy to help pass the time because counting cracks on the ceiling is becoming a tad tedious not to mention frustrating as hell."
Vladmir hid his smile at her comment. At least he knew she was alright since she was acting like the same old Leah. He had figured she'd be able to deal with anything the Volturi threw her way due to her stubborn personality and pride. "I'll see what I can do about that and even if I can't get the items you requested, it won't be very long until you are back where you belong."
The she-wolf never had a chance to reply because Aro spoke up first. "As touching as this moment is, I believe we have some things to discuss. Now, the last time we talked I said I would give you Leah in trade for Alice, but I am willing to negotiate when it comes to that. If you won't give me Alice then I want something in return so what are you willing to offer up?"
"You want someone to join your guard yes?" The blond Romanian asked as he scanned all possible trades in his mind.
The leader of the Volturi smirked. "That is correct."
"Can it be anyone of our choosing?" He questioned and waited for Aro to nod before he continued speaking. "Well in that case, how about me?"
For a few tense moments everyone was quiet as they tried to digest what they had just head come from Vladmirs mouth. Caius was the first to speak. "Your feelings for the she-mutt must run deep if you're willing to turn yourself over to us for her freedom. I'm not sure sure I want to make a trade now considering how much fun I could have hurting you by using her. Things have been a bit dull as of late and this would at least keep things interesting."
"I cannot argue I am intrigued by this trade suggest." Aro stated as he rubbed his chin in thought. "While it is intriguing I am afraid I have to decline your offer. While you are indeed one of two remaining Romanians, she happens to be one of a kind and that makes her more valuable to me than you. Do you have any other ideas or is this meeting over?"
"I have a feeling that no matter what I offered you the answer would be no." Vladmir accused as his eyes darkened to a deep red instead of his usual bright red or black eyes if he was hungry. "I have been studying for the last 1500 hundred years and I know how you think. I was fool in believing this could be solved by some sort of truce."
"I suppose then this meeting is finished." The Italian vampire said as he stood up from the chair he had been sitting in moments before. "Marcus will be pleased to know his favorite toy won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Perhaps Caius was wrong in his assumption about your having deep feelings for her. It's a shame you didn't take me up on that offer because it's the only one you will be receiving. In case you have forgotten, the Volturi do not offer second chances. Take a nice long look at your love because it will probably be the last time you see her, well the last time you see her alive."
"I can promise you that this won't be the last time you see me, but when we meet again my face will most definitely be the last thing you ever see." Everyone in the room could hear the truth behind the blond Romanians words even though some of them didn't want to face up to that fact while others couldn't be happier. A war was coming and anyone who thought differently had no idea what they were talking about. "It is you Aro, who is going to be you didn't take my offer. We will be seeing you soon and if you have hurt her anymore than you already have, well I am sure your twisted yet creative mind can figure it out."

AN: Hey guys, I do hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and I am sorry it has taken so long to get it up, but with the holidays and all I have been rather busy. I am also sorry I did not do my annual Christmas gift one-shots, but even though it is late I am going to still do them if you have requests. For those of you who don't know of this tradition, all you have to do is either PM me or in a review leave a pairing, rating, and summary to a one-shot story you want. I do all pairings even though I am not a fan of Bella I will do one with her in it if it is requested.
Please R&R like always!
