Oh gosh, this chapter did not want to be written. I had to rewrite this several times and still, I don't like some parts of it. I've been busy writing other stories, The Walking Dead taking a lot of my attention.
I hope you guys like this chapter and thank you for everyone reminding me to keep writing this. AND of course, thank you for the reviews, favorites and follows. Now without further delay,
CHAPTER 12
Eevee cocked her head when JARVIS had the video feed stop and focus in on a person cloaked in black.
"That's him!" Steve said, pointing at the screen. A black form could be seen in the picture but it was blurry, out of focus.
Janet shook her head, her hand pausing on Eevee's bright yellow fur. "Wait.. what I'm I looking for again? A giant cat?" It had been three days since the incident with Simon Williams and everyone agreed that a few days of rest was needed. Tony was still chewing himself up for what happened with Simon, hiding himself in his labs as he overlooked several experiments from Simon's company. Janet left to spend a few days with her friends in her old condo and Hank was rethinking what he thought about Tony and his attitude, about how wrong he was.
Thor was his usual self, spending time with Jane when she was free and learning all about Midgard's food, which explains where he was that day. It was Steve's comment that sent Tony's alarm off. Someone who wasn't supposed to be here was getting into the mansion without JARVIS alerting anyone.
"It was a man." Steve replied. " Ah.. Can the projectionist make this brighter?"
"Uh..." Tony exchanged looks with Hank as Janet covered her mouth as she giggled. "Sure. JARVIS, run a full spectrum analysis, will you? And make it brighter." The screen zoomed in on the man and made the blown up image clearer. Revealing the man in the black suit.
"Look at that." Hank said in amazement. "Whatever he's wearing, it's absorbent to all energy spectra, and what he did to JARVIS... the system still doesn't register there having been another person there." Tony crossed his arms with a huff, not admitting to himself that he was impressed. Whoever got passed JARVIS was impressive, 'Almost' on par with himself.
"Okay, fine. I admit it. Whoever this intruder is, he's got some okay technology."
"All I know is that this man in black saved my life." Steve interrupted, "He's an ally, not an enemy." From what Eevee saw, this man not only saved Steve's life but hers and Janet's as well. If the man hadn't given Steve his shield, they would surely all be dead by the time the rest of the team had come back from dealing with the bigger yuk monster, if they had come back at all.
"Alert!" JARVIS announced, blaring alarms and flashing the warning lights. "Intruder on the front lawn. Alert."
"Avengers go!" Tony ordered, calling his suit to him. Eevee stood and jumped off the table, following Janet, Hank and Steve as they ran for the elevator. It only took another half minute after that for the team to reach the front lawn.
Eevee skidded to a stop beside Captain America's right leg when her eyes caught who the intruder was. It was the giant cat man from the video feeds. He jumped down from the fence and flexed his hands as claws appeared on his finger tips.
"So... he's not an Avengers?" Cap asked, making sure yet again. Eevee hissed as the man crouched, her fur puffing up. No, this man was not a team mate.
"Definitely not." Iron Man replied moments before Cat man ran at them, his clawed hands out in front of him. Iron Man crouched down and jumped to meet the man, his repulsor in his boots activating.
"I got this -Urg!" Iron Man was sent sprawling back into the cement fencing as Cat Man flipped, grabbing Iron Man's arm with one hand and using his other hand to swipe down his chest plate with his claws, leaving three claw marks in his suit. Iron Man sat up with a groan but couldn't move as his suit started to go haywire.
Cat man stood straight as an purple aura started to glow on his finger tips, forming the shape of an arrowhead.
"You're think your fast!? Dodge these!" Wasp appeared behind him, her hands glowing. She fired several shots that was harmlessly absorbed into the man's suit. He sent his own aura bolt after Wasp but he was sent back by Cap's shield tackle. Cap steadied himself and threw his shield but the man dipped back, the shield skimming his body before hitting the fence and rebounding back to Cap.
Eevee ran to position herself behind Cat Man when his attention was on Captain America and opened her mouth, fire starting to form into a sphere in front of her, the deadly gas escaping from a pit in her stomach. She glared at the man before shooting her fireball at his legs. She froze and her eyes widened as her fireball sizzled into a small wisp before disappearing just a few inches from the man.
'Puff!' Smoke exploded out of her in a violent sneeze, covering her body in a cloud as she quickly shrunk and her fur darkened. When the smoke cleared, Eevee was herself again, fluffy brown fur and all. Cat man straightened and tilted his head to the side as Eevee remained frozen with wide, oh-no eyes.
That wasn't supposed to happen.
Eevee sighed in relief when billions of ants, just itching to bite, swarmed the man as Ant-Man flew in front of her on the back of a flying ant.
"Now." Ant-Man said, his voice loud. "Are you ready to talk about this?" Cat Man raised his arm and pushed a button on his wrist.
Eevee yelped and backed away from the man as a ear splintering pulse erupted from his wrist, driving the ants away from him, as well as her. She folded her ears and stumbled back, bumping into the legs of the newly grown Ant-Man.
"That sound, it's vibranium." He said, gobsmacked. The pulse stopped and Eevee opened her eyes to see Wasp force Cat Man up the mansion with her bolts.
"I agree." Ant-Man said moments before Eevee had to jump away from him as started to grow into Giant-Man and made to grab Cat Man but he jumped over Giant-Man's hand and struck him several times on the way down, forcing Giant-Man to his knees before Cat Man landed feet from her.
Time to go feral. Eevee pounced, wrapping her body around Cat man's right leg before sinking her teeth into his flesh. He grunted and raised his hand to strike her off but stopped when he heard the clicking of Iron Man's weapons as they armed.
"Don't even think of it." Iron Man warned, firing up his repulsors. "Eevee off." Eevee jumped away on Iron Man's order, landing several feet away. She licked her teeth free of his blood as she eyed the man.
"Enough." Cat Man's voice radiated confidence and command. Cat man crossed his arms behind his back, showing he meant no further harm but Iron Man took no chance, keeping his weapon trained on Cat man's head.
"What's your game mister?" Captain America growled as he walked up to them "You saved my life and then you attack us, and now you expect us to believe your just going to surrender?"
"I am not surrendering, Captain." Cat man replied. "I have simply seen enough." With a flash of light and a groan, Giant-Man shrunk back to normal size, holding a hand to his numb side. Wasp landed beside him and grew back to normal, laying a hand on his shoulder in concern.
"I wanted to assess your abilities first hand." Cat Man said before lifting his hands and removing his mask. "I am T'Challa." Eevee cocked her head and studied this.. T'Challa. Dark skin with very short trimmed black hair, his face was thin and tired looking, as if he carried the entire world on his shoulders.
"The prince of Wakanda." Ant-Man gaped as he stood with the help of Wasp. "But what are you doing here?"
"I need your help." T'Challa admitted after a few seconds of silence. Iron Man hesitated but lowered his weapons with a sigh. Capt frowned, looking at Iron Man before he too lowered his shield into a more relaxed stance.
"The press would get a hay day out of this. The Avengers turning away a prince." Iron Man said. "Lets get inside before we attract more of a crowd." Eevee twisted her head to look behind her and saw a crowd forming at the main gate, light's flashing as pictures and videos were taken.
"Come on Eevee. Inside!" Wasp shouted. Eevee whipped back around and saw most of the team was already at the front door, T'Challa being led in front. Eevee hopped forwards and ran to join with the rest of them, scooting inside just as Wasp closed the door behind them.
"Why do you need our help?" Janet asked, "Your plenty strong enough on your own. You wiped the floor with all five of us." Eevee sat away from the group, her eyes locked in on T'Challa's form as he stood a few feet away from the table in the assemble hall, his back to the rest of the team. His arms were crossed behind his back in a non threatening posture but she wasn't taking a chance. Like Janet said, he wiped the floor with all of them.
"Ah, just for the record." Tony interrupted, "I wasn't trying my hardest but Jane is right. We're kind of busy with an army of escaped supervillains." Eevee heard T'Challa let out a deep puff of air before he turned and addressed the team.
"My country has been overthrown by a villain." He answered. "A brutal fiend called M'Baku, the Man-Ape. I need your help to get passed the Wakanda people so I can restore the throne." The Avengers looked at one another, uncertain if they heard correctly. It was Steve who asked the next question.
"Get past the Wakanda people?" He repeated. "If your people are following this Man-Ape on their own free will, that's the end of the story. That's what the people want."
"You do not understand." T'Challa said, shaking his head. He walked away from the group and looked out the glass wall at the quinjets below. "The people are the problem. They follow the old ways. Man-Ape won the throne in combat. They feel they must follow him, no matter if he destroys everything. And the Man-Ape will destroy everything."
Janet shook her head. "I don't get it. I'm sure he's bad news and all, but how can he destroy everything?" Hank moved around her and taped a button on the table to activate JARVIS' computer. A keyboard flipped up before he started to type. A light shone from the center of the table and an image appeared.
"Vibranium." Hank commented. Eevee stood and trotted over to the table and jumped up onto a chair to get a better view of the image. She cocked her head and chirped her confusion. The vibranium looked like an average piece of purple rock, nothing special about it. "I've studied it first hand, it's nothing to mess around with."
"And legend has it, Wakanda is sitting on a mountain of it." Tony said.
"The vibranium mound." T'Challa sighed. Eevee narrowed her eyes at him as he walked back towards the table. "It is our treasure and our responsibility. For centuries we have defended it against any who would exploit it."
"That kind of resource should belong to everyone." Hank protested. "Vibranium has the power to change the world."
"I agree, but not necessarily for the better." T'Challa said, locking eyes with Tony. Tony attempted to grin as he raised his hand to rub the back of his head, averting his eyes as the rest of the team stared at him.
"Uh, yeah. Stark Industries investigated the possibilities of using vibranium to make weapons." Hank frowned at him. "It was a long time ago." Tony defended himself before looking back at T'Challa. "My people tried to make a deal with King T'Chaka. Where is he now?"
The prince of Wakanda looked down and didn't answer.
"If this Man-Ape is going to put lives in danger, we have to do something." Steve said.
"Lives are in danger, Avenger." T'Challa dug into his suit and withdrew a USB card. "Computer, satellite view of Wakanda." He ordered as he plugged the card into the table. Tony shook his head."Ah, that won't work. I already tried. Wakanda can't be seen on satellite." He said as JARVIS showed a holograph of planet earth, pinpointing Wakanda. Eevee saw one corner of T'Challa's lips turn up, just an inch.
"Zoom in." The map zoomed in twice before an island was clearly visible.
"Okay, how exactly do you know my systems inside and out?" Tony demanded as the map zoomed in again, showing a clearer image of a large mountain.
"I studied them." T'Challa answered. "... Inside and out." JARVIS zoomed in further and the team saw ant sized images of men pushing mine carts in and out of the mountain.
"Hydra." Steve whispered as JARVIS highlighted an image of two men. One in a purple hood with a scythe for an arm and another with black hair, a thick beard and a robotic satellite machine arm.
"That's Grim Reaper. One of Strucker's guys." Tony announced. "But I have no idea who Abe Lincoln is."
"I've met him. His name is Ulysses Klaw." Hank said. JARVIS brought up an information card of the man, scrolling through what SHIELD has on him. "He created a device that converts Vibranium into a sonic weapon." Eevee flattened her ears as JARVIS closed the hologram. Jan crossed her arms and grinned.
"So, who's up for invading Wakanda?"
Eevee yawned and snuggled further into Steve's lap, a quiet purr leaving her chest as Steve's hand absently stroked down her back as he stared out of the quinjet's window.
"Thor still isn't responding to his I.D card." Tony grumbled, breaking the near silence. "Probably taking a trip to fantasy land." Jan yawned and lifted a hand to rub her tired eyes, groaning softly as she reached up her arms in a stretch. Even with Tony piloting the jet, it had taken three hours so far to fly this far and it would be another hour until they neared Wakanda. Eevee chirped her protest when Steve's hand stilled and when he made no move to continue, to deep in his thoughts, she tried to shuffle out of his lap, but his hand tightened around her middle.
Hank reached over and pushed a button and a map appeared in front of them, highlighting the route that they needed to follow.
"We need to go through.. Torment Forest, past Piranha Cove, but we have to avoid the Chasm of... what was it? Icy Clouds?" Jan asked, looking behind her at T'Challa.
"Chilling Mists." He said.
"Right." She murmured, returning her attention back to the map. Eevee grumbled and tried to wiggle free of Capt's grasp but deflated with a sigh when she didn't budge an inch. Her pathetic attempt of escape caught Hank's eye who looked over with a frown.
"Ah.. you okay Capt?" He asked. Steve didn't look away from the window as he answered Hank.
"In my day, if something went this high, we didn't call it an airplane."
"What did you call it?"
"Science fiction." Steve murmured. Hank chuckled before nodding down at Steve's lap.
"You might want to let her go before she bites." Steve looked over at him before looking down at her when she made another sound of protest. His eyes widened and he instantly loosened his grip on her. She stood and shook her ruffled fur back into place.
"Sorry about that Eevee." He said. Eevee chirped up at him before jumping off his lap and into Jan's who happily scratched behind her ear. The quinjet's windows were sealed shut as they neared closer to Wakanda.
"This is not the path I laid out." T'Challa said, glancing out the front windows. "You should avoid this area. The jungle here is to well protected."
"Don't worry. The quinjet has the best cloaking tech there is. Mine." Tony preened. Eevee rolled her eyes and settled down into Jan's lap but was sent tumbling off when Tony flipped the jet to avoid the gun fire around them. Eevee landed with a grunt on the floor and slowly slid down the ail as Tony evaded the fire. She only stopped when a boot propped her up from behind.
"Wakanda's defense tech is better." T'Challa said, keeping his foot where it was. The quinjet shook as shots exploded around it, making the team grunt at each impact. A well aimed shot to the engine had the quinjet going down. Tony struggled for control, trying to level the jet as it spiraled out of the sky. Eevee turned and wrapped her front paws around T'Challa's boot, preparing for the emergency landing.
Eevee was almost uplifted as the jet hit the trees but was caught by thick wrapping vines, stopping it before it made a more jarring landing on the ground. The team waited with bated breath to see if the jet would slip but after a minute, it stayed.
"Is everyone alright?" Jan asked, looking around her as she held a hand to her head.
"Nice landing Tony." Hank groaned as he straightened in his seat, unclasping his seat belt as he did.
Tony shrugged as he stood without a scratch, his suit doing it's job.
"You should thank me. We're all in one piece. No harm, no foul." Eevee shakily unsheathed her claws from around T'Challa's boot and stood. She looked up at the black prince and chirped, a purr rumbling in her chest. Thank you.
T'Challa unclenched his hand from the seat in front of him and straightened.
"As I said, Wakanda's defense is unbreakable." He paused to shrug his shoulder back into joint and Eevee winced at the faint 'crack' that came from him. "They would have seen us go down, we must get away from here." Capt stood and shrugged off his shield.
"Lets get going then." He said, walking towards the dented door. He braced the shield against him and with one firm thrust, the door fell of it's hinges, falling to the ground beneath the jet.
"Ladies first." Capt nodded at Wasp, who grinned and shrunk down in size, flying into the air and out the door. Capt looked down at Eevee and gestured outside.
Eevee chirped her thanks as she passed him, looking down at the four story drop. Eevee laid her ears back and looked around the trees, pausing her eyes on a large, sturdy looking branch and with just a second of hesitation and a few tail swishes, jumped.
She landed smoothly on the branch, digging her claws into the wood to keep her balance and slowly made her way down, breathing a sigh of relief once her paws hit the ground. She looked up and saw the jet entangled in cords of vines with thick plumes of black smoke rising from it. It was luck that it didn't explode upon contact. Ant-Man and Captain America jumped down next with Black Panther behind them.
"You owe me a jet." Iron Man said to Panther as he landed before the rest of the Avengers.
"You chose not to listen to me, Stark." Panther shot back. "It was a mistake." Iron Man walked over to Panther and jabbed a finger at him.
Iron Man walked over to Panther and jabbed a finger at him. "You and I need to have a little talk, Kitty."
Wasp flew in between the two men to break the tension between them. "Wow, would you look at the time. Shouldn't we be somewhere? Like in a big fight against Hydra?" Iron Man sighed and nodded, turning his back to Panther.
"Right. Here's the plan. We take down Hydra and protect the Vibranium mound. Then we deal with Man-Ape."
"Do not underestimate the army of Wakanda." Panther growled. "Which, is heading this way. I wish you well, but I will deal with Man-Ape by myself." With that, he pushed passed Iron Man and jumped into the nearest tree, disappearing into the thick foliage.
"And... he left." Wasp commented from her perched position on Ant-Man's shoulder.
"You've have got to be kidding me." Iron Man threw out his arms and huffed. Captain America turned and looked at the billionaire, eyes narrowed and a frown on his face.
"What?, I -" Iron Man protested but rubbed that back of his head with a sigh. "Okay. Fine. Cap, go after him and take Eevee with you, we don't know what's out there other then the Wakanda's people and Hydra."
"But you need.. understood." Capt said after a moment of hesitation. Eevee chirped up at the man in uniform and followed at his feet as he ran from the group and followed in the direction Panther left into.
This is ridiculous.Eevee thought as she tried to keep up with the two men but before long, she could only catch glimpses of them in the trees. Flashes of black, red, white and blue.
She snagged the next branch with her right paw, sinking her claws into the bark and used it to pull herself up. She caught her breath and watched in relief as Panther made his appearance with Captain America a branch behind him, the two of them not even out of winded.
Eevee heaved herself up and jumped down to the next branch until she was side by side with Capt, standing on top of large twisting roots of an ancient tree.
"Your tenacity is admirable." Panther said, turning his head to stare at Capt with one eye "But you are very out of place in the jungle, Captain."
Captain America rose from his crouch and fixed Panther with a glare. "You came to us for help, so here I am."
Panther shook his head as he stood. "This is my burden to bear."
"And what? Were the Avengers a distraction?" Capt shot back. "You're just using us to get passed your own people?"
Panther turned with a growl. "Man-Ape is mine."
"Well, I got my orders. Besides.. I owe you one. You saved my life, remember?" Capt didn't wait for Panther to respond. "So you can let me help you, or, we can go another round?"
The two men went silent before Panther seemed to tense further before turning with a snarl of rage and punching the root in front of him. "Man-Ape took my father and I did nothing! I failed him."
Eevee whimpered as she practically saw the waves of despair and guilt leech off the man.
"I know you can understand that, Captain. Please, let me do this." Panther pleaded. Eevee tensed as the man turned without another word and jumped off the large root and back into the trees, disappearing out of her sight within moments.
She looked up at Capt and chirped questionably. So, do we go after him?
Captain America frowned and tightened his grip on his shield, staring in the direction Panther went.
Eevee flinched to the side with a yelp as a Vibranium energy exploded just a few inches from her back leg, shattering the root and sending wood splinters in all directions. Capt and Eevee jumped off the root to avoid getting hit and ducked behind another, shielding themselves.
Eevee leaned down and peeked out from underneath the root, catching sight of at least 4 sets sandal clad feet. Wakanda soldiers. One of the men shouted at them in the Wakanda language before shooting another vibranium energy beam at them.
"How did they manage to get through?" Capt murmured to himself, shifting his shield to his arm. Eevee wondered the same, how did they get around Iron Man, Wasp and Ant-Man? She glanced back at the way Panther went and nodded to herself.
"Ev Eevee Eevee!" Eevee meowed up at Captain America, her voice carrying over the sounds of splintering wood. Capt glanced down with a frown.
"What is it?"
Eevee nodded to the direction Panther went and did it again when he didn't get it right away. She turned towards the soldiers and hissed, lashing her tail behind her. She could easily take on four men with spears.. even if the spears shot energy powered bullets out of their tip.
She looked at him again when he hesitated with narrowed eyes, nodding in Panther's direction again. Go! I got this.
He nodded at last, hosting his shield in front of him. "Wasp would never forgive me if you died." He said, his way of telling her not to get hurt. She grinned, laying her ears back and nodding. Got it.
Captain America crouched and jumped, drawing the fire to him and directing it away with his shield. With another jump, he was back in the trees with the thick branches taking the fire.
Eevee jumped up onto the root when the Wakanda's soldiers attention was on Capt, opening her mouth and filling it with dark energy that oozed down the sides of her muzzle. She fired the ball at the feet of the soldiers, not aiming to kill them, she kinda figured the T'Challa wanted his people alive, but to knock them off their feet. Only two of the soldiers were blown off their feet, the other three managing to hold on by burying their spears into the ground as an anchor.
With their attention on her and with smoke in the air from her attack, she knew Capt would make his move, following Panther quickly and quietly as he could.
"Ha!" Eevee jumped to the side to avoid a jab from a spear, a Wakanda soldier following the spear moments later. He yanked the spear from the ground and aimed the point at her. She hissed in response to the threat, her right ear focusing on the others but she kept her eyes on the man in front of her. He glared down at her, the white stripes on his face standing out as more sun filtered through the trees.
He jabbed his spear at her, the end sparking with vibranium. The shock of it caused her fur to stand on end and for her to take a step back. He smirked and sent more vibranium sparks at her, followed by a shot of it.
Eevee leapt from the branch, hearing the wood burn from the vibranium shot and was met by another soldier, spear raised. She twisted her body as she fell, trying to avoid a spearing but felt the tip scrap her side. She landed and avoided a stomp from the soldier.
This was getting ridiculous.Eevee jumped back a few more steps and shot energy shaped stars at the soldier's feet. She grinned when the branch broke and sent the man falling, landing on his back on the forest floor. He was winded but not hurt. Eevee turned her attention to the soldier above her, crouching down and lowering her head. She propelled herself forwards, her head hitting the base of the branch the man was standing on.
She landed on the branch below and watched as the branch she just hit, cracked and fell from the tree. The Wakanda soldier jumped, aiming for another branch but Eevee intercepted. She landed on the branch before him, turning her back to him and started to kick up bark and wood, sending the debris up into his face. He shouted as he tried to shield his eyes but as his foot touched the branch he aimed for, it slipped.
Eevee watched him fall and was satisfied to see him unconscious but unhurt. She yelped as she was tossed into the air by a well placed vibranium shot to the shoulder. Her body hit a tree trunk with a crunch and she fell heavily onto the ground below.
Eevee tried to stand but her right back leg wouldn't take any weight. She looked below her and laid her ears back in a wince. Her back right leg dangled uselessly below her in an angle that wasn't natural. With each beat of her heart, her leg throbbed.
"Ek het jou onnatuurlike een." Eevee lifted her head and to see the Wakanda soldier standing above her, spear lowered with the point aimed at her head. Eevee couldn't do more then hiss at the man. Anything she could do could kill the man at this range. She could do nothing more then hope to avoid the spear once he jabbed it at her.
"Ek sal moet vertel jou kamerade van jou dood." He growled, pulling his spear back. Eevee crouched down and waited. He shouted and thrust the spear down.
"Rooooarrr!" An earth shattering roar shook the trees around them, sending birds and animals scattering. Eevee dropped to her stomach, sweeping her tail under her as her heart sky rocketed. The Wakanda's spear slipped out of his grasp and his legs folded underneath him, he desperately clawed at the ground in an attempt to move backwards. He was gaping at whatever was behind her, trying to scream but he couldn't get enough air into his lungs. The soldier managed to crawl over to his one remaining conscious comrade, the both of them helping each other to their feet before they ran into the forest, back towards Wakanda.
Eevee clenched her eyes shut, her body trembling as she felt whatever was behind her moving closer. A puff of air ruffled the fur on her back before a rough tongue licked at the dripping wound on her shoulder. She flinched to the side but the tongue followed.
Eevee slowly opened her eyes and couldn't believe what she was seeing.
A large panther stood before her, it's fur as black as the night and golden eyes glittering with the deep purple of vibranium. The black panther was huge, Eevee only the size of one of her paws. The cat lifted her head and purred a greeting.
'Welcome, comrade of T'Challa, king of Wakanda.' A voice resounded in Eevee's head, sounding oddly male and female. 'Do not fear me. I won't harm you.' Eevee nodded slowly. Okay, she'll play along.
'Stand and let us go. We don't want them to awake.' The panther said, glancing over at the rest of the Wakanda's soldiers. It turned away and started towards Wakanda and with a moment of hesitation, Eevee followed.
"Eevee Ev Eevee Eevee." Eevee chirped, looking up at the panther she followed. The godly panther looked down at the small mammal, tail swishing out behind it to keep balance as they walked along the tree branches up high.
'They call me Bast. I am the deity of Wakanda. I was the one who gave T'Challa's ancestors their powers of the panther.' Bast answered, jumping across a gap in the branches before scaling down the tree and landing on the ground, looking up at Eevee, waiting. Eevee followed, her claws digging into the bark. She landed beside Bast and followed the deity gaze across the wide expanse of yellowed grass to see the white and gold city of Wakanda.
'I watched these people grow and mature, making the right decisions and the wrong. The children of my first panther has always taken the throne with the intent of keeping Wakanda and these lands safe. The new king, this.. Man-Ape, has no such intent. He has to be stopped. T'Challa has turned to you, you Avengers for help and I approve. I could not see you killed.'
Eevee understood, kind of.
'Your friends are already there, fighting for Wakanda. They are waiting for you.'
Eevee looked at the city, narrowing her gaze to see smoke start to rise from the city. She turned back to Bast but the spot beside her was empty. The panther was gone. Eevee looked at the ground and saw that no grass was trampled, no evidence that she was there to begin with.
Eevee turned her attention back to Wakanda. Her friends needed her.
That's the end of this chapter. Hope you liked it :D
