"Let go of me!" Ethan screamed as two vampire council goons picked him up and half carried, half dragged him to Jesse's department of the building. Neither of the goons would tell him what was going on, or why he was needed. Just that Jesse needed to speak with him. Ethan hoped he hadn't found out about his relationship with Benny. And if that was the case he wondered how he found out. He had been so careful not to let anyone notice!

They opened the doors to Jesse's office and pushed him in. Ethan groaned as he hit the floor, and that hurt. He slowly started to stand up as he heard the doors close.

"Hello Ethan." He looked up to see Jesse leaning against a bookshelf. He inwardly winced at the obvious disgust as the vampire said his name.

"What do you want Jesse?"

"Answers. Someone told me you were dating a werewolf. Is this true?"

Ethan said nothing.

"Because if it is, you know it's against our laws. And you could be severely punished," Jesse told him, walking over to where he stood. He wrapped his hand around Ethan's throat, causing him to gag, and held him against the wooden doors. And when Ethan struggled to escape. Jesse hit his head against the door, making him stop.

"Now I'll ask the question again and you better answer this time. Are you dating a werewolf?" Jesse repeated, his voice going deep and demonic to trance Ethan, as he let go of him.

Ethan's eyes glazed over and in a monotone voice he answered "Yes."

"And you knew of the laws against dating a werewolf?"

"Yes."

"Who is it?"

"Benny."

Jesse scowled at that. "How long?"

"A few weeks."

"Okay Ethan, I'm going to give you a few commands. Number one: You will continue to date 'Benny' and act normal, but report back to me if you get any insight on the wolves plans. Two: You will NOT betray your kind by giving the werewolves any information on us or fight against us in the war. And finally: When the battle comes, you will kill Benny. Is this all understood?"

Ethan nodded.

"Good. And once you leave this room you will have no memory of this conversation but you will follow all commands on accord. You are free to go." He opened the door and Ethan walked out.

Once outside he blinked and shook his head, looking confused.

"Why am I at the council building?" he wondered.

(Inside Jesse's office after Ethan left)

Erica stepped out from her hiding spot.

"Is he gone?" she asked, looking around the room nervously.

Jesse smiled at her and nodded. "Yes he is. Good job telling me of this problem."

He went to her and kissed her. Erica's glazed over blue eyes closed as she kissed back.

I am sorry this chapter took so long. And that it's short.

Also if any of you were confused with the ending of this chapter it goes hand-in-hand with chapter 13, Jesse used his 'charm' to kinda semi trance Erica. Which was easy cause she already really liked him.
