A/N: Hello, again I really hate editing but here we are with the next chapter. Hope you like it

Jack's POV

I heard a scream and knew it was Luna. The blood was slowly leaving my body but it didn't hurt that much. I felt my head being moved and when I looked up it was Luna with Harry and Hermione.

"Jack you ok?"

Harry asked, clearly nervous

"Please, it will take a lot more for me to die."

I say in a cocky tone. I try to stand but I stumble right away. Luna catches me and I'm hanging on to her, barely able to stand.

"We have to get you to the hospital wing or you could bleed out."

Hermione said.

"I won't bleed out, Bill's magic is keeping me alive. The problem is the swords. They are designed to not hurt when you're stabbed but will hurt like nothing you've ever felt if you try to pull them out."

"Who's Bill and why is he keeping you alive?"

Hermione asked. I forgot she wasn't there when I told Harry

"Later, for now I need you 3 to pull these swords out."

"Jack you just said-"

"I know what I said. Those people are after my niece and nephew. They are the only connection to my sister I have left and I won't let anyone take them."

I stood on my own two feet and grabbed one of the swords by the helt. I pulled as hard and as fast as I could until it was out. I didn't feel it at first but then it hit me like a freight train. The burning was worst than any fire, the sharp pain that followed felt like a thousand needles were slowly entering every inch of my body.

I fell to my knees but didn't scream. It took all my will power to look at my friends. They were aware of me being in pain but were too shocked to move.

"Pull the other 3 out. NOW."

I say through greeted teeth

That knocked them out of their numbness. They looked hesitant for a moment until they all shared a look. At the same time they each grabbed a sword and pulled them out at the same time.

The pain I felt before was nothing like this. You would think it would only be 3 time worse but it wasn't. It was a hundred times worst at least. I was clutching the area where the swords were to help ease the pain but that seemed to only make things worse. It hurt to move but I knew I had to save those kids so a little pain was nothing.

"Luna, you're with me. We'll take care of my mom first, then we double team my dad with Vanessa."

Luna looked shocked

"She's here?"

I smirked at her gaping mouth

"Of course, she's one of my best friends."

"Who's Vanessa and why haven't we met her before?"

Harry asked

"You have met her Harry."

It took a moment before he spoke again

"Your dog?"

"He thinks it's a dog?"
Luna chimed in

"You'll see later, for now me and Luna attack. We'll take care of her while in the castle but we have to drag my father out to the forest or the lake."

"What are Hermione and I doing?"

"Round up the army and try to get everyone away from the castle until I give you the signal its safe."

Harry didn't look to happy when I told him his job but he nodded his head, took Hermione's hand and ran to Gryffindor tower first.

"Jack?"

I heard Hermione call me out and I turned to her

"When you say 'take care of' do mean you're going to kill them?"

I knew the answer right away

"If I have too."

It took awhile to find my mom but we did and she was fighting Dee by herself.

"Come on sweet-heart, you have to do better than that. This gift is rare and we have to use it to its fullest potential."

I heard her call out to Dee, who was barely standing as is. I look at Luna and we didn't even have to speak to know the plan. Luna disillusioned herself while I face the wicked witch.

"Did you know you're the worst grandma ever? I mean most grandma's just pinch their grandkids, not bring them to the brink of death."

That got her attention.

"Well most mothers can be proud of their kids. Mine just ended up being a whore or a crybaby."
"What did you say about my mom?!"

Shouted out Dee. She charged for my mom but I was faster and stopped her.

"Dumbass, she's trying to get you mad. Find your brother and meet with Harry."

She looked like she was going to disobey but she didn't and left

"Harry? Is that the little british boy you became friends with, do you really think he could protect either one of them?"

"Against you or dad, no, but you guys won't be going near them again."

She smiled at me like I was a child who said something cute

"Oh and who's going to stop us, you?"

"Me... and Luna."

that when a silver spike came flying from somewhere behind my mom and hit her in the side. She screamed in pain and pulled the spike out while looking for Luna

"Where is she? I'll rip her head off!"

She said in a viscous tone

"You'll never find her. If there's one thing Luna is the best at, it's not being seen."
When I finished speaking dagger floated into existence and stabbed Maria several times in the stomach.

"Whats wrong hag? Getting angry that a little girl is getting the best of you?"

In a fit of rage she pulled out her wand and cast spell where fire shot out in a wave, setting anything in a 50 ft radius on fire. I knew Luna was already behind me when I summoned a giant shield to protect us from the flames. When I lowered the shield my mom was gone but in the area.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something fly towards me but I blocked it with the shield. More things came flying out of nowhere before something stabbed me in the small of my back, right near my spine

"Whats wrong, can't bear to fight against your dear mom?"

She said from somewhere

"Naw, Luna just never liked you and called dibs."

Thats when a flash of light lit up the hallway and when I looked I saw Maria covering her eyes in pain.

"Can't hide in a shadow if there are no shadows."

Luna reviled herself and was stepping in front of Maria. She pulled out a dagger and swung wildly but missed.

"Any last words?"

She laughed mostly to herself before she spoke

"When your father hears what happened, there won't be a bug alive when he's done with you wort-"

She was interrupted when Luna used Maria's own dagger to cut her head off.

"She always did talk to much"

Luna said as she walked away

Harry's POV

Hermione and I were running to the Gryffindor tower for at least 10 minutes before we got there.

"Hermione I have something in my room that'll help us get the army together quickly, you get to everyone else in the tower to go toward the front gates."

She nodded her head and left to the girls dorms while I went to room to look for the parchment Jack gave to everyone that joined the group. When I got there, Dean and Seamus were playing exploding snap while Ron and Neville were playing chess

"Guys we have an emergency everyone had to get to the front gates now!"

They all looked at me weirdly

"What are you on about Harry? What emergency?"

Dean asked

"Did you not hear the explosions out there like half an hour ago?"

"That wasn't Fred and George pulling a prank on Umbridge?"
I groaned to myself

"No, that was two people breaking through the Hogwarts wards and destroying the common room entrance."

All of them lost the color in their faces before they all jumped up and shouted at once

"What?!"

"Is that possible?!"

"Wheres Dumbledore and the other professors at?!"

"You have to be kidding?!"

"People are attacking Hogwarts, yes its possible, I don't know where the professors are, and I'm not kidding."

I answered to all of their questions

"Dean, head up to the 6th and 7th year dorms and get them to evacuate the school where I told you to go. Seamus, go to the lower years and do the same. Ron and Neville, go find Dumbledore and the professors and tell them to go find as many students as they can. When you finish clearing a room use your wand to turn the door red so we know its empty."

They all stood around with their mouths open

"GO!"
That got them to close their mouths but only for the moment

"And who the bloody hell put you in charge?"

Seamus asked

"Jack did, now hurry up and go."
Ron scoffed

"Why should we believe him or follow your instructions?"

I didn't have time to argue 'cause something went flying through the wall and destroyed a few beds. We heard coughing and someone stepped out of the rubble. It was Jack but his face was swollen and he was bleeding, a lot.

He saw us and cursed

"What are you guys still doing here, doesn't matter. Harry there's been a change of plans. Get everyone down to Hogsmeade and try to keep away from the castle."

Not waiting for a reply he headed towards the hole and jumped out. We looked out the hole and Jack was riding on the back of what looked like a griffin.

I turned back my roommates

"Ready to do your jobs now?"

They all rushed out and I went for my paper

'Emergency, everyone meet at Gryffindor tower immediately'

I wrote the message and got to the common quickly. Hermione was there with what looked like every girl in Gryffindor. They were all talking at once while the prefects were trying to get some peace. Not being very patient now I held my wand up and a booming noise like Hermione did earlier.

"Hermione, whats the problem?"
"They don't believe me and are waiting for professor McGonagall to get them."

"Of course we don't believe you, its ridicules to think that not one but two people broke through the wards and are now attacking the school."

The 6th year prefect said

"How do you explain the giant hole where our painting use to be?"

Hermione countered

"Fred and George did something stupid again. Wouldn't be the first time."

I groaned and turned to Hermione

"There was a change of plans, we have to get everyone to Hogsmeade and stay away from the castle."

"Why, whats wrong?"

"I don't know but Jack looked really hurt."

I turned to the people in the room

"Alright, despite what you may think we really are under attack and have to get out now."

"We aren't going anywhere until a professor gets here, got that Potter?"

The prefect said nearly growling at me

I didn't get to respond when a voice interrupted me. I looked over to see Susan and most of the group outside the common room. I rushed over to them.

"Ok, we have to evacuate the school and that means that the prefects will have gone to your houses and get everyone to Hogsmeade. The rest of us will direct students we see on the way. If people don't listen then stun them and move them."

"Harry whats happening, and where is Jack?"
"People came to kidnap Dee and Miguel and Jack is with Luna to stop them. We don't the full extent of their powers but they did break through the wards."

"Where are Dee and Miguel now?"

"I don't know, Hermione and I are going to find them while you and Daphne get everyone out."

Susan nodded her and moved the troops out

"Everybody wait, we aren't going -"

the prefect tried to take over control but I just stunned her. Her body slumped forward and I caught her. I passed her to a couple of 4th years and told everyone to leave.

"Harry, what about the map?"

Hermione asked as soon as the room was empty

"I let Jack borrow it and I don't know where it is now. Come on, we'll start looking out by the forest. Thats where I last saw Jack fighting."

We ran there and along the way we found the body of Jack's mom, who was also missing her head. Hermione screamed but we kept moving to the forbidden forest.

When we arrived we saw Jack fighting his dad. It was a brutal scene with parts of the forest on fire, holes where it looked like explosions went off were everywhere and Dee was with her brother. Their backs were turned to us but we could see that she was sobbing while he had an arm wrapped her. Then when we noticed that he had an arm wrapped around her, as in one arm. Miguel's left arm was missing, leaving only the shoulder and a bloody towel tied to it.

We ran over to them but I began to feel that pressure on my chest again. It was hard to breathe and it was a struggle to stay standing. I looked over to Hermione and it seemed like she had the same problem if the amount of sweat on her forehead meant anything. I started to cough and that caught the attention of Miguel.

"Oh Harry, Hermione, you guys ok?"

he asked

I almost laughed at the irony before I was reminded of my lungs having very little air in them

Miguel help me move a few feet back while Dee helped Hermione. I took a lot of deep breaths as soon as the pressure was gone.

"What the hell was that?"

I asked

"That was Jack and Juan's magic without a filter."

He said

At my confused look he elaborated

"By instinct all wizards and witches suppress their full power, through training you learn to take that filter off. Have you ever been a room with Dumboldore and you get this feeling of power rolling off him and the hairs on the back of your neck stand?"

Both Hermione and I know what the kid was saying, we just nod along waiting for him to continue

"Well its him extorting his power. The thing about Jack and his dad is that they have so much power that it can have a more physical reaction. Over time you'll get use to it like me and Dee but he hasn't done it yet so it will be dangerous for you two to be near him during this fight. If you read the Bleach manga then its very similar to what they call 'spiritual pressure'."

We just nodded along and tried to follow the fight from where we were sitting but it was difficult because of how fast Jack and his dad were moving and how far away we were. All we could see was two people but couldn't really tell who was who.

"Wheres Luna?"

Hermione asked

"Behind you."
We turned around to see Luna walking towards us with binoculars in her hand. When she got to us she passed them time and Hermione saying it'll be easier to tell the two fighting apart. I looked through the device and can clearly see Jack and his father moving at a normal speed.

Jack had cuts along his face and his shirt was torn in various places. His father looked completely fine, not a scratch on him.

"Jack's in trouble, is there anything we can do to help?"
I asked to no one specific

"Jack can win but he has to do it his way."
Luna said

"What do you mean?"
"Jack is fighting like his dad, no doubt trying to prove a point but it won't work. Jack has his own way of doing things and should stick with that."

"Ok, what about Vanessa? Where is she?"

Luna didn't say anything and just watched the fight. I went back to watching and knew immediately what she was looking at. There was a basilisk. It was huge, easily 100 feet long and 10 feet tall. It had Juan in its mouth trying to swallow him but he had both hands on these two gigantic fangs, preventing the snake from closing its mouth.

Jake came flying through the air out from no where and tackled Juan away from the snake. Then in a swirl of colors the snake turned into a dog, a German shepherd to be exact.

"Luna... care to explain?"
I ask

"Vanessa is a peuchen, a shape-shifting creature from the southern part of Jack's homeland. She prefers to stay in a snake form but around normal people she stays as a german shepherd."

"How do I get one of those?"

I ask almost joking

"Feeding it your blood from the skull of your grandfather."

Luna said in a completely serious face

I made a face and decided not to talk anymore

"Why Vanessa?"

Hermione asked

"Jack has horrible sense when it comes to naming things. Did you know he actually wants to name his first son Lucifer?"

"The angel?"

Hermione asked in a shocked tone

"I know right, I said it was stupid and insulting but he said the meaning was cool and that just because one person named that didn't mean anything."

As the conversation gradually stopped we turned back to the fight and we missed a lot in those few minutes. For one Jack's father was now holding onto his arm, in pain if I had to guess, and was also sporting a nasty cut that went down from his forehead to his cheek but he had his left eye closed so I think it was injured. Another thing was that Jack grew wings. I thought I was seeing things but on looking closer I could see the wing coming from between his shoulder blades. They were black and looked like they were leathery, almost like wings from a bat. I looked over to Luna but the way her mouth was hanging open told me she was just as surprised.

"No. Jack you stupid fucking idiot."

"Luna what's wrong?"
someone asked

"You see those things on Jack's back that look like wings?"

We all nod our heads in agreement

"Well it a physical manifestation of his magic."

We all look at her confused, and yes that includes Hermione

"It gives him a power boost but at a deep cost. If he uses it for to long he won't be able to do magic at all. He'll turn into a squib."
