Well here it is! My next chapter! I really hope some of my readers haven't forgotten my story, your reviews were all so sweet, and inspiring, I'm so glad you guys have stuck with me through all this way into the story, I never imagined anyone would like this story, because there are so many other good writers on fan fiction. Anyway, continuing with the story, the first meeting with Anna and Elsa were kind of weird; I hope you guys can forgive me for that! I wanted Eugene to mess with Rapunzel some more and I thought it would be kind of funny if Elsa kind of threatened him to stay away. Also I noticed that Jack has been OOC in my story (Out Of Character) I'm actually pretty sure that all the characters are out of their personality except for Rapunzel, I hope you guys can forgive me for that!
On with the story!
I do not own, Tangled, Rise of the Guardians, Brave, How to train your dragon, or any of the Harry Potter movies, or any movie used in this story at all.
"What do ya mean you don't remember where the Hufflepuff dormitory is?" Merida practically shrieked.
"Merida..." Rapunzel tried, "Calm down, it's only the first week of school and this is a gigantic castle, please try to understand," Rapunzel explained, she tiredly dragged a large pile of blonde hair in her arms as they walked.
Another unmistakable roar drifted in the distance, after hearing the roar drift through the castle many times, Hiccup quickly realized that the dragon attacking the Quidditch Fields might not be his Toothless after all; in fact, it might not even be a dragon.
If it's not a dragon, then what kind of creature would it be?
Realization dawned on Hiccup and he shivered, he decided not to tell his friends and kept quiet about it, the loss of having Toothless at his side made him feel quite lonely and he had a feeling that they all had to check up on Toothless right away, only Thor would know what his Night Fury dragon was doing in the dorm rooms.
"Okay, okay okay." Jack took a deep breath, "Okay." He drawled the word one last time, the winter spirit ruffled his hands through his unruly white hair and opened his mouth to speak, "So, Hiccup can't remember where the Hufflepuff dorm is, I say we should go and look for it ourselves, some door, secret pathway should trigger Hiccup's memory or something."
"Are you crazy?" Rapunzel cried, she dropped her long hair to the floor, "We're not even supposed to be wandering in these halls while there's a dragon on the loose! What if we run into a prefect or a teacher?" She panicked.
Merida giggled, "You're such a good girl, Rapunzel." The Scottish girl commented, "Ah sneak around my family's castle all the time!"
Hiccup sighed and ran a hand down his face, "Look, I agree with Jack, but we should just split up and try to look for the Hufflepuff dorms, the more space we can cover the better, and if we run into a prefect or a teacher, we'll just tell them that we got lost on the way to our rooms and if we get caught, let's meet at the library, okay?"
"Okay, but can we look in pairs? I don't want to wander by myself in this castle." Rapunzel squeaked, "We might run into ruffians and thugs, poison ivy, quicksand, cannibals and snakes, the plague, no!" She cried, clutching her hair to her chest, wishing she brought her trusty frying pan with her.
Jack brightened up, "Okay then, pairs it is, I guess I'll pair with R-"
"Rapunzel, you're with me!" Merida interrupted, swinging an arm over the blonde girl's neck, Jack's face fell; he was the one who wanted to pair with Rapunzel. Merida shot a knowing smirk towards Jack, who silently fumed.
"See ya Hic!" Before Jack could disagree with the partner picking, Merida ran off with an overwhelmed Rapunzel, her long blonde hair dragging after them.
Hiccup blinked in surprise and Jack stood there with his mouth hanging wide open, "Well I think we should get going and- Jack?" He looked over at the frost-haired boy who was angrily kicking the air, "What?" Jack asked, he was feeling a little irritated, he wanted to spend some alone time with Rapunzel. Hiccup bit his cheek to keep himself from laughing, it was early, but he somehow knew something was going to happen between those two, he saw the way Rapunzel looked at him and the way Jack smiled at her, Hiccup had to admit; they looked cute together.
"Get it together Romeo, and let's go." Hiccup shot a smirk at Jack; he shoved his hands in his pockets and casually walked away. Jack stood and stared after him, confused with Hiccup's sudden change in character; Jack gripped his staff and jogged to catch up to Hiccup. "Romeo? Just what are you talking about?"
"Merida? Are you sure we should be going this way?" Rapunzel quivered, Merida turned to the blonde girl to give her a look. Really, this girl is afraid of everything, it's like she's never been anywhere outside her home or something. Merida let a sigh escape her lips, "You've got nothin' to worry about, Rapunzel, you've got me, if any cannibals or snakes or whatever comes, I'll show 'em up with my magic skills!" She stated proudly.
"But Merida, you're horrible with magic spells." Rapunzel pointed out.
Merida twitched and took her wand out of her uniform pocket, "Oh really? I'm going to prove you wrong!" Merida looked around the long hallway, searching for a notable object to practice her spell, the burning torch on the wall seemed like a good idea. With a grin, Merida ran up to the closest torch and with a swish and flick of her wrist she chanted: "Wingardium Leviosa!" At once the torch obeyed to her spell and began to levitate and float through Merida's control.
Rapunzel crossed her arms and shot a knowing look towards Merida, who was returning a mischievous smirk, "See? Ah could do it, Ah can do magic." She stated smugly.
"Are you sure you can't remember where it is?" Jack questioned Hiccup for the 100th time in ten minutes; Hiccup groaned and dragged a hand tiredly down his face, "For the last time Jack, no. I do not remember where the Hufflepuff dorms are." The two continued down the long hallway, the shadows of the wall torches seemed to grow long as they took each step.
"Well I'm just wondering because this is looking a lot like a lost cause right now and I haven't heard a dragon roar in the last five minutes so I-"
Another dragon's roar was heard in the distance, but Hiccup noticed that the dragon definitely sounded like it was nearby; he knew needed to get to Toothless fast, this was probably driving Toothless crazy.
As they continued on, an important thought struck Hiccup, "Jack! I remembered where the Hufflepuff dorms are!" He cried, Jack turned towards Hiccup and rubbed his eyes, "Really?"
"Yes, the secret dorm entrance is located in the kitchen," Jack rubbed at his eyes some more, "Hiccup, the kitchen is on the other side of the castle, do we really have to check on Toothless?" He whined. Hiccup gave the frost-headed boy a look and he sighed loudly. "Fine, let's go and find Rapunzel and Merida, geez." Jack slumped his shoulders and turned around grumbling; Hiccup grinned and followed after him.
"Merida? Do you really have to carry that torch around with you?" Rapunzel questioned.
Merida rolled her blue eyes, "Of course I do what if the lights go out?" She asked as the torch floated behind them, "But there are windows, and it's daytime." Rapunzel pointed out. Merida groaned, "Never mind that anymore, I just like to carry it around, that's all."
Rapunzel grinned and pulled her hair along as she walked. My hair is getting really troublesome; I'll just roll it up into my arms.
"Walk on without me, Merida, I need to roll up my hair, don't worry I'll catch up." Rapunzel stopped in her tracks and turned to look at the trail of hair she left behind, like handling a fishing rod, she began to pull back her hair, and Merida waved her off and walked on.
"Say Rapunzel…" Merida began, her eyes focused on the hallway in front of her, "Why do you grow your hair so long?"
No answer
Maybe I walked too far and she can't hear me?
Louder, Merida yelled, "Hey Rapunzel! Any reason why ya grow your hair so long?" Merida's voice bounced around the walls and still there was no answer from the blonde girl, Merida had not turned around yet.
"Rapunzel?" Merida called, she still walked on; a feeling of worry was tugging at her stomach. All was silent in the hallway, but faintly, Merida could barely hear the sound of sand falling to the ground behind her, like something was slinking around the hallway and watching her.
"Rapunz-"
Omnis Lux Furari…
Merida spun around just as blackness began to cloud her vision, a blood-curdling scream echoed through the hallway and filled Merida's ears. Merida was in a panic, "Rapunzel!" She cried, "Where are ya?" Merida started fumbling around in the darkness, trying to get her bearings. How?! How is this possible?! I still have my torch and there are windows in this hallway!
"RAPUNZEL!"
Jack twitched and quickly turned around. Was that?
Hiccup began, "Jack, did you hear something? It sounded like-"
"Rapunzel screaming." Jack finished, he was gripping his staff tightly, his knuckles turning white. "Are Merida and Rapunzel in trouble? We need to get to them as fast as we can!" Hiccup turned and ran down the opposite way of the hallway, "Wait! We need it stick together in case of-"
Omnis Lux Furari…
As soon as Jack reached his arm out to Hiccup, the room was flooded in darkness. Jack stood perfectly still, clutching his wooden staff, and with a strong voice, Jack yelled: "Hiccup? Are you there?"
Silence.
Jack gritted his teeth and closed his eyes, listening to the noises around him, the darkness seemed to drag deeper and deeper, like Jack could feel the darkness slowly engulfing him. Feeling his way across the hallway with his bare feet on the cold marble floor, Jack gradually and slowly began to walk forward, step by step; he carefully walked through the hallway.
Suddenly, Jack felt hard grains of sand under his feet, his eyes flew open and as fast as lightning, Jack struck his wooden staff into the ground, and the darkness began to fade away. Jack blinked, trying to get his eyes accustomed to the sudden light, as soon as his vision went back to normal; Jack broke into a run and yelled out: "Hiccup!"
Jack rounded the corner of the hallway and yelled, "Hiccup!" One last time. If Jack wasn't looking, he could've smacked into Professor Mansnoozie, Jack calmed when he noticed Hiccup resting in the Sandman's arms, the mute professor placed a finger to his lips and created an infirmary symbol out of his sleep sand while pointing to Hiccup. Jack nodded and flew off to find Madam Pomfrey.
Merida continued to shriek Rapunzel's name amidst the blackness, though her efforts were looking towards futile. Just when Merida was about to give up and decide to run around in the darkness for help, a rush of cold flew over her body and Merida opened her eyes. For some unknown reason, the darkness began to fade away; as soon as her eyes adjusted, Merida noticed a slumped figure laying on the marble floor a long distance away from her.
Realizing that the figure was Rapunzel, Merida jumped to her feet and ran towards her friend as fast as her legs could carry her. When Merida finally reached an unconscious Rapunzel, she noticed that grains of black sand were covering Rapunzel's body. Merida hurriedly picked Rapunzel up into her arms and ran as fast as she could, screaming for help.
"Help! Someone help me-OOf!" Something collided into Merida and she fell to the ground on her bottom Rapunzel falling out of her arms, "Oww," Merida winced and rubbed at her head, "Hey! Watch where ya-Jack!" Merida looked up with hope in her eyes; Jack had miraculously caught the unconscious Rapunzel in his arms, he was breathing heavily and his eyes were wide with panic and worry.
"Jack, you have to help me, Rapunzel is-"Merida began, "What is it? What happened to her?" Jack's voice was laced with concern. "I-I, Rapunzel and I were walkin' through the hallways, lookin' for the Hufflepuff Dormitory when-"Jack's eyes widened, "Darkness flooded into the hallway." He finished, gripping Rapunzel close to him, "It happened with me and Hiccup too, and Hiccup is in the same state as Rapunzel."
Merida's hands flew to her mouth, "Where is he?" She asked worriedly.
"Don't worry Merida, Hiccup is with Professor Mansnoozie," Jack assured her, and relief relaxed Merida's shoulders, "For now we have to get Rapunzel help and find Madam Pomfrey as fast as we can." Merida nodded; her hand was gripping her wand tightly. Jack wrapped Rapunzel's hair to help him carry her, and he and Merida ran off into the hallways with many thoughts racing in their heads.
"Just what is going on here?" Jack murmured.
So...I bet you all are pretty disappointed in me and this chapter, I mean, I made you guys wait months for every chapter and this is all you get, I'm sorry TT^TT I'm sorry I never update! Truth is, I'm running out of ideas for the story and I have been so busy with school, I never get to work on this, I really hope you can forgive me :,( Hopefully I can pick up things in my next chapter, that is...IF I can get another chapter, thank you for always sticking with my story, to those who are still sticking with my story, I feel like this story is really boring, especially this chapter, let's talk about this chapter.
In Harry Potter the main characters are always getting into trouble and danger, and for some reason, almost every time, they come out mostly unharmed, not that I'm saying that they are supposed to get harmed but I'm just saying, some people can't be always that strong and you can't solve things that quickly, in this chapter, I wanted a sense of a mysterious danger, but mostly everyone knows who the "mysterious danger" is and blah blah blah, I'm going to give you guys a spoiler for the upcoming chapters.
.
.
.
Never mind about the spoilers, it would give sooo much away, anyway, thank you for reading and sticking with my story, I'll see you in my next chapter! :D
